Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet is expected to remain in his limited role in the Seattle offense, making him a low-end RB3 in Week 12 facing the Arizona Cardinals. While Kenneth Walker III has continued to dominate snaps in the Seattle backfield, Charbonnet has operated as the clear No.2 option. Last weekend, he saw just four carries and two targets. Since Week 8, Charbonnet has averaged just 3.0 rushing attempts per game. In addition, during this span, Walker logged more than 20 more offensive snaps than Charbonnet on two occasions. As a result, fantasy managers should continue to view Charbonnet as a high-upside handcuff with little to no standalone value while Walker is healthy. This weekend, facing the Cardinals, fantasy managers should view him as a desperation flex option in 14+ team formats.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants running back Devin Singletary could produce solid flex value this weekend facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since returning from a groin injury, the veteran running back has slowly been eased into action but has continued to see an uptick in carries in each contest. Even though rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. has shown flashes of high potential, he surrendered a costly fumble in their most recent loss to the Carolina Panthers, which may cause Singletary to return to his "1A" role in the backfield. Earlier in the season, when the veteran was in the lead role, he averaged an impressive 15.5 PPR points through the first three weeks of the season. Facing a weak Tampa Bay defense that has allowed the fifth-most PPR points to opposing RBs this season could open the door for a solid bounce-back showing for Singletary.
From RotoBaller
The San Francisco 49ers D/ST unit is in Green Bay for a Week 12 matchup against the Packers. Those who started the Niners in Week 11 were rewarded with decent production, holding the Seattle Seahawks to 20 points while sacking Geno Smith four times and picking him off once. Green Bay on the road offers a much taller task. Although the Packers are eighth-worst in the NFL at avoiding turnovers, they are elite at protecting their quarterbacks, tied for the No. 1 slot with only 13 sacks allowed. They are the fourth-ranked offense in the NFL by yards per game, eighth by points scored, and are at full strength. San Francisco will be without their big-ticket edge rusher Nick Bosa (hip, oblique) while CB Charvarius Ward (personal) remains out for the third straight game. The 49ers are best left out of Week 12 fantasy lineups, occupying the 17th position in RotoBaller's rankings.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks should be left on all benches in Week 12 when the Packers face the San Francisco 49ers. Wicks has not caught a pass in each of the past two games and has averaged just 2.0 targets during this span. Wicks has only surpassed double-digit PPR points on three occasions this season but fell below 7.0 PPR points in each of the other seven contests. Playing in a crowded Green Bay wide receiver room, Wicks has shown flashes of potential at times but has been unable to see a consistent dose of targets. As a result, fantasy managers in all formats should keep Wicks on their bench. However, managers in deeper formats should continue to stash Wicks on their roster as he could find a path to fantasy stardom if he can find his way toward the top of the depth chart down the stretch.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson should be viewed as a risky flex option heading into a Week 12 tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the past two weeks, Robinson has seen at least four targets in each contest but caught a total of just three passes across both games. However, in Week 9, Robinson enjoyed his best outing of the season, bringing in six of his nine targets for 94 yards and two scores. Despite seeing a consistent target share, Robinson has been unable to produce a consistent fantasy output. In addition, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver room remains quite crowded with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, which will always hinder Robinson's weekly ceiling. Facing a tough Philadelphia Eagles secondary that has allowed the seventh-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts this season, fantasy managers should view him as a risky flex option in deeper formats.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals rookie Trey Benson has begun to slowly find a role in the offense and could be in store to see a solid workload in their Week 12 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. During Week 9, the rookie logged eight carries with one target. Then, in Week 10, Benson earned a season-high ten attempts and two targets in their decisive victory over the New York Jets. During this two-game stretch, Benson has averaged an impressive 5.5 average yards per carry. Before this, Benson saw just six rushing attempts during Weeks 6 through 8. While fantasy managers should still expect James Connor to operate as the clear leader of the backfield, Benson could be a viable low-end flex option in 14+ team formats, especially if the Cardinals are playing with a lead. In addition, given how well he is running the ball, he could produce a solid fantasy stat line, albeit in a limited role as he has in the past two games.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody will kick off to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Last week, Moody hit his only field goal attempt from 33 yards while making both extra-point attempts. It was a welcome sight one week after missing three of six field goal attempts in Tampa upon returning from an ankle injury. The Packers' defense is ranked 15th in the NFL in yards allowed per game and 10th in points allowed. The weather in Green Bay is expected to be mild, with temperatures in the 40's, 10-mph winds, and no precipitation. San Francisco will be without quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder), and All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) will be a game-time decision. As backup quarterback Brandon Allen takes the ball, the uncertainty surrounding San Francisco's offense coupled with Moody's recent accuracy issues take Moody's outlook down a peg or two. Still, the second-year pro is RotoBaller's fifth-ranked kicker heading into Week 12.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert has been nonexistent since his costly fumble back in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. So much so that he didn't even receive a single carry last week vs. the Las Vegas Raiders in their 34-19 win; that can all change this week. Mostert will go up against a New England Patriots run defense that has given up the third-most rushing yards to running backs this season. It should also be noted that in his last three meetings, the 32-year-old speedster averaged 82.3 rushing yards per game and had three touchdowns. With the recent lack of playing time, Mostert is a touchdown-dependent flex at best for Week 12 and is RotoBaller's RB40 for Week 12.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has had nothing short of a disappointing season for fantasy football. Waddle will look to bounce back in Sunday's matchup against the New England Patriots. Miami has asked him to do more in the run-blocking game, and big plays have been hard to come by this year with all the two high safety looks they've been getting. The opportunities have also been limited, with an emphasis on getting the run game going early. He hasn't had over four receptions in a game since Week 1. Week 12 presents a matchup with a Patriots defense that ranks 24th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers per game. While this might sound like great news, trusting Waddle enough to put him in your lineup is tough. Start him at your own risk, but don't be surprised if he has another letdown performance as he comes in as WR33 in RotoBallers Week 12 rankings.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins tight end Jonnu Smith has been one of the most consistent fantasy options in this offense all year. He's garnered at least six targets in four out of the last five games and has three touchdowns in that span. Defenses have emphasized limiting big plays from Tyreek Hill (wrist) and Jaylen Waddle, giving Smith plenty of opportunities. He once again gets a solid matchup with a New England Patriots defense that ranks in the middle of the pack at defending tight ends. More specifically, according to Pro Football Focus, New England linebackers have struggled mightily in coverage, with an average coverage grade of 52.5. This looks like another prime spot for Smith to produce; start him with an expectation of TE1 production. He ranks as RotoBallers TE7 in this week's rankings.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa enters Week 12, coming off his best performance of the season. Miami put up their season high in points in a game this season with their 34-19 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The offense has scored 27-plus points in three of their last four games. This week presents a matchup against a New England Patriots unit that ranks 18th in total fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks this season. Tagovailoa has success in his career against New England, going (6-0) with a 92.2 passer rating. In 2024, New England's defense has allowed an average passer rating of 107.7 and has allowed 1,033 yards after the catch. Big plays could be coming this week. Tagovailoa is a great start and comes in as the QB11 for the weekly RotoBaller rankings.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is coming off another solid performance in their 34-19 win in Week 11 over the Las Vegas Raiders. He carried the ball 17 times for 73 yards and a touchdown. He also added four receptions for 32 yards. Achane has been on an absolute tear since Tua Tagovailoa's (concussion) return in Week 8. He's now ranked as the overall fantasy RB8 and scored 20+ PPR points in three of his last four games. This week, he gets a matchup against a New England Patriots defense that ranks 23rd in PPR points allowed to running backs per game. Miami must win this game, and Achane has been the hot handout of the backfield. Expect his usual workhorse role; start him as a safe floor RB1 with a very high upside. He checks into Week 12 as RotoBallers RB3 in the weekly rankings.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos defensive end Zach Allen (heel) is listed as questionable to play on Sunday for a divisional clash against the hosting Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12. Allen was limited in practices on Wednesday and Friday while he put in a full practice on Thursday. The Broncos were giving Allen some extra rest, so he's likely on the right side of questionable to play this weekend for the team's top-five defensive unit. The 27-year-old former third-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019 out of Boston College has five sacks in 11 games in 2024 and needs just one more to set a new career high. He's also added 42 tackles (24 solo), 12 tackles for loss and 21 QB hits for the Broncos. It's been a great year for Allen, and he should be considered in play as a starter in IDP leagues this weekend if he's active against a Raiders team that has allowed 33 sacks, which is tied for fifth-most in the NFL.
From RotoBaller
Dallas Cowboys right guard Zack Martin (ankle, shoulder) is listed as doubtful to suit up for the Week 12 contest against the division-rival Washington Commanders on Sunday in D.C. In addition, offensive tackle Chuma Edoga (toe) and left guard Tyler Smith (ankle, knee) are questionable to suit up. Martin, a seven-time All-Pro, suffered an ankle injury in the Monday night loss to the Houston Texans and will likely be unavailable on Sunday. Smith also suffered his ankle injury in Week 11 and may have to sit out to heal up. It's more bad news for a Cowboys offense that is now being led by quarterback Cooper Rush for the third straight game with Dak Prescott (hamstring) out for the rest of the season. It's great news for a Commanders defense that ranks ninth in the NFL this year with 29 team sacks.
From RotoBaller
The New York Giants granted quarterback Daniel Jones' request to be released on Friday, and the sixth-year QB will now be subject to waivers. However, any team claiming him would be responsible for the remaining $11,833,333 he's guaranteed this year, which makes it highly unlikely any team will claim him off waivers. NFL teams interested in signing Jones can do so after 4 pm ET on Monday, although a signing is more likely to happen on Tuesday or Wednesday. The 27-year-old former first-rounder might choose to wait for a quarterback-needy team to emerge later in the season, though. Jones should land on his feet somewhere else eventually, but he won't be guaranteed a starting job after another disappointing season with the G-Men in which he completed 63.3% of his passes for 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in 10 starts.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring), who is expected to play in Week 12 against the New York Giants despite a questionable tag on the final injury report, said he had no concerns about aggravating his right hamstring in his return this Sunday. Evans sustained the injury in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens while he was already dealing with a hamstring injury in the same leg but in a different location of the muscle. The future Hall of Famer has missed the last three games, tied for the longest absence in his amazing career. Head coach Todd Bowles did leave open the possibility of pulling Evans on Sunday if needed, but fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to put Evans back in their starting lineups this weekend as quarterback Baker Mayfield's clear top target in the passing game. Evans needs to average 95 receiving yards per game the rest of 2024 to tie Jerry Rice's NFL-record 11 straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
From RotoBaller
The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has lost confidence in quarterback Aaron Rodgers' ability to lead the team to their first playoff berth in 14 years, according to sources. No decisions have been made yet, but it's increasingly likely that Rodgers, who isn't 100% healthy, could be placed on Injured Reserve or benched over the next few weeks. Some around the NFL wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers is cut mid-season. The four-time MVP's relationship with Johnson has been strained for months, and sources with the team and around the league think Rodgers wants to play in 2025, just not for the Jets. The 40-year-old tore his Achilles in Week 1 of 2023, and while he hasn't been terrible in 2024, he hasn't been very good, either, throwing for 2,442 yards, 17 TDs and seven interceptions in 11 starts. It appears Rodgers' tenure with the Jets will come to an end soon.
From RotoBaller
The Denver Broncos defense/special teams unit should be in starting lineups in all fantasy leagues this weekend when they head to Allegiant Stadium on Sunday to take on the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders and their floundering offense led by quarterback Gardner Minshew II, who has already been benched two separate times in 2024. In addition, Vegas' top-two running backs -- Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) -- are doubtful to play. The Broncos defense has been a top-five unit in 2024 and allow the second-fewest points per game (16.6). Meanwhile, the Raiders offense averages 18.7 points per game (tied for eighth fewest) and 285 total yards per game (third-fewest). And lastly, the Raiders are tied with Dallas for the most giveaways (20) in the league through 11 weeks. The Broncos D/ST is in a smash spot in Week 12 and is a must-start.
From RotoBaller
Wide receiver Jameson Williams aims to sustain his momentum as the Detroit Lions face the Colts in Indianapolis for Week 12. Williams showcased his big-play ability in the previous game against the Jaguars, recording 124 yards and a touchdown on four receptions, marking his highest yardage total this season. The second-year wideout has been a boom-or-bust option this year, with two games under 10 yards while also exceeding 50 receiving yards in his other six appearances. However, Williams' target share may decrease with tight end Sam LaPorta expected to return after missing last week due to a shoulder injury. Despite this, Williams' knack for explosive plays keeps him in the flex conversation, especially against a Colts defense that has allowed the 12th-most receiving yards per game to perimeter wide receivers since Week 6.
From RotoBaller
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates aims to maintain his consistent scoring as the team faces the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. In the Lions' 52-6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bates converted his sole field goal attempt and all seven extra points. This season, Detroit's offense has been prolific, scoring over 40 points in four of ten games and never falling below 20 points, providing Bates with ample scoring opportunities. He leads the league with 39 extra points made on 40 attempts and remains perfect on field goals, hitting all 15 attempts. Bates has scored at least eight fantasy points in seven games and achieved double-digit points in five, making him a reliable fantasy option heading into the matchup against Indianapolis.
