I'm fine with this ruling and I think it more closely mimics NFL rules. My vote is 2 and we carry this logic forward into future league years. It sucks for me but it's probably the most realistic ruling.

My vote would be 2 to prioritize head to head results.

Okay teams, I need a vote from all teams please. Vote 1 or 2

3 teams are tied at 7-7 for the 2 wild card spots.  2 of the teams are in the same division, therefore they've played twice. Those 2 teams have played the other 7-7 team once. The divisional teams are 1-1 against each other and both are 1-0 against the non divisional opponent. The non divisional team has the most points scored of the 3. If any team were undefeated in this scenario, that team would automatically make it.

  1. The tiebreak should go to points based on the uneven number of games played
  2. The head to head tiebreaker would still apply first even with an uneven number of games.

My preference would be for all non-vested parties vote on the handling but if you choose to just proceed as is, that's fine as well. Won't be upset.

Definitely a quandrum. I will respect whatever the decision is that's made.

For clarity, I have to determine division seeding before Wild Card spots. Crazy Eights got 5 seed by tie-break over Wakenda and Boats all at 7-7. Uncle Rico is in with 6 wins as 2nd place in the West. That left 3 teams at 7 wins for the 2 WC spots. Wakenda and Boats both beat MC but split with each other. There is an argument it should have gone to points since Wakenda and Boats were 1-1 against each other but 1-0 vs MC. I had MC out because he didn't beat either team. But there weren't any of the 3 teams who won all common games, maybe it should go to points. Undefeated in common games would be the first 3-way tie breaker in this situation. That would've put one of the 3 teams in automatically. Does zero wins automatically put the other 2 in and MC out or should it to go to points without an undefeated team? That is the question. I can't use point diff head-to-head with the uneven number of games. This is the issue with playing divisional opponents twice and the rest only once. I always want the teams to have a voice if I'm not looking at it correctly. Tim is Commisioner, not Dictator. Does anyone recall this exact situation happening before and how we handled it? Happy to put the situation to a vote

Yep .. that makes sense. Just seems weird a 6-8 makes playoffs but rules are rules. I get it.
