The New York Jets announced on Saturday that they placed edge rusher Jermaine Johnson (Achilles) and wide receiver Irvin Charles (knee) on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. The team also placed linebacker Aaron Smith (undisclosed) on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. Johnson suffered a torn Achilles in Week 2 of last season and was unable to participate in OTAs or minicamp during the spring. However, head coach Aaron Glenn said that barring any setbacks, the 26-year-old defensive back should be ready for the start of the regular season in early September. The Jets can activate Johnson and Charles from the PUP list at any time during training camp. Johnson, a former first-rounder, was a Pro Bowler in 2023 when he had 55 tackles (36 solo), 7.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 16 QB hits, an interception returned for a touchdown and seven pass breakups in 17 starts.

Detroit Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) is on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list to begin training camp due to a shoulder injury that required offseason surgery. However, head coach Dan Campbell said he expects Decker to start working back into practices in early September. "We feel like there's a good chance we can get (Decker) back after the Hall of Fame Game (July 31)," Campbell said. "He's good. Just cleaned up his shoulder a little bit and we're going to work him back in when he's ready to go. He's in a good place." The 30-year-old's availability for the Week 1 season opener against the division-rival Green Bay Packers is up in the air, but barring a setback, Decker shouldn't have to miss too much time (if any) to begin the 2025 season. Decker has started all 131 games (including playoffs) since he was taken 16th overall in the 2016 NFL draft.

Dallas Cowboys three-time All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons will report to the team's training camp in California despite not having a long-term contract extension in place, sources tell FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. This was always the expectation after Parsons took part in OTAs and minicamp this spring. The Cowboys and the 26-year-old have not worked anything out on a new deal, but it's probably just a matter of time before he becomes the new highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL before the start of the 2025 season. Parsons, who has been a Pro Bowler in each of his four NFL seasons, might only take part in individual drills at camp. The former 12th overall pick in 2021 out of Penn State is an elite pass-rusher and will cost a pretty penny in IDP fantasy formats. Parsons has 52.5 sacks in his four NFL seasons, although he had a career-low 12 in 2024.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike (knee) will miss the entire 2025 campaign after suffering a torn ACL. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list last week, so now we know why. Onwuzurike just signed a one-year, $5.5 million extension with Detroit after a solid campaign in 2024. Last season, Onwuzurike registered 28 tackles, one tackle for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 16 games (10 starts) with the Lions. This is a tough blow to Detroit who was crushed by injuries last season. It's unclear how the team plans to fill the void at the tackle spot.

Chicago Bears defensive back Jaylon Johnson has been placed on the non-football injury list on Saturday. The Bears also placed Case Keenum, Jahdae Walker, and Ian Wheeler on the NFI list as well. The good news is that none of these players are reportedly dealing with anything serious. The Bears certainly need Johnson healthy by the start of the season. The two-time Pro Bowl defensive back figures to remain an important part of this defense going forward. He recorded 53 tackles, eight passes defended, and two interceptions in 17 games last season. Johnson figures to be ready to go by the beginning of the season.

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. (knee) has been placed on the active/physically unable to perform list on Saturday. This was expected as All is still recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in Week 9 of last season. Before that, All registered 20 receptions for 158 yards in nine games (six starts) with the Bengals during his rookie season. There is no timetable for his return, so Mike Gesicki should operate as the primary tight end to start the season. Gesicki is coming off a season where he recorded 65 receptions for 665 yards in 17 games. Those numbers figure to be on the rise considering the Bengals don't have much depth outside of their two star wide receivers.

The New Orleans Saints have signed defensive end Jonathan Bullard to an undisclosed deal on Saturday. Bullard has decided to head to New Orleans after visiting with the team last month. The 31-year-old has spent each of the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. During that time, Bullard registered 108 tackles and three sacks across 46 games (38 starts) with the Vikings. Bullard is more known for his impact defending the run than passing situations. That being said, Bullard is likely going to be a rotational player on the Saints, but has enough talent to make an impact as a part-time player.

Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dennis Gardeck (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list on Saturday. The 30-year-old spent his entire career with the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL in the Week 7 meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers, ending his 2024 season prematurely. Gardeck has appeared in 96 regular-season contests, totaling 156 tackles (117 solo), 17 sacks, and two interceptions. While he should provide valuable leadership to a Jags defense that struggled last season, he likely won't be a viable IDP contributor. Gardeck can begin practice immediately once medically cleared.

Chicago Bears quarterback Case Keenum (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Non-Football Injury list on Saturday. The veteran agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears in April after missing the entire 2024 campaign because of a foot injury. He has suited up for seven teams throughout his career before his arrival in Chicago, throwing for 15,175 yards, 79 touchdowns, and 51 interceptions off 62.3% passing in 80 regular-season contests. Keenum is projected to be the No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart. While he should provide valuable guidance to Caleb Williams, he likely won't see much, if any, on-field action in 2025. Keenum can start practicing immediately once he's medically cleared.

New England Patriots tight end Austin Hooper (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list on Saturday. He won't practice to begin training camp, although he is eligible once medically cleared. The 30-year-old has appeared in 139 regular-season games for the Falcons, Browns, Titans, Raiders, and Patriots since entering the NFL in 2016, amassing 409 catches for 4,178 yards and 28 touchdowns. Hooper is listed behind Hunter Henry on the depth chart. That likely won't change unless Henry goes down with an injury. Even then, Hooper won't be considered a trustworthy fantasy option. With that in mind, he's not expected to see attention from managers in any fantasy format during drafts heading into the 2025 campaign.

New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list. The wideout agreed to a two-year, $8.4 million deal with the Pats in March after bouncing around the National Football League throughout his career. He appeared in 112 regular-season games for the Eagles, Dolphins, Raiders, Falcons, and Bills, totaling 162 receptions for 2,069 yards and 15 touchdowns. Hollins spent last season in Buffalo, where he had a career-high five touchdowns. He'll have plenty of competition for targets in New England, with Stefon Diggs (knee), DeMario Douglas, Kendrick Bourne, Hunter Henry, and Kayshon Boutte all vying for the attention of quarterback Drake Maye. With that in mind, Hollins may have a tough time being a consistent fantasy producer, although he very well could have a few above-average fantasy outings during the 2025 campaign. Hollins is eligible to be removed from the PUP list as soon as he is medically cleared.

According to Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, running back Najee Harris (eye) has reported to the team's facility. "He's in meetings," Harbaugh stated. "Just great to have him, a lot of gratitude that he's here." The 2021 No. 24 overall pick spent four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers to begin his career. He appeared in 68 regular-season contests for the club, totaling 4,312 yards on the ground and 180 receptions for 1,149 receiving yards while totaling 34 touchdowns. Harris inked a one-year deal with Los Angeles in March. Unfortunately, he suffered an eye injury during a fireworks incident on July 4. Harris currently sits on the Non-Football Injury List, so it's not a positive start to his career with the Chargers. However, he's expected to be ready to go for Week 1. With that in mind, it's certainly a situation worth monitoring heading into the opener. If Harris doesn't progress from the injury as initially anticipated, rookie Omarion Hampton's fantasy stock will rise even higher. Either way, fantasy managers can consider drafting both for insurance purposes.

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) won't start training camp on the active/PUP list. According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, Austin Hooper, Vederian Lowe, and Jahlani Tavai are the only three Patriots opening up camp on the active/PUP list. Diggs is a full go to participate in training camp and trending in the right direction to suit up in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 31-year-old has made incredible progress working his back from a torn ACL in Week 8 of last season. Reiss did add that the active/non-football list can change at any time. Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million contract with New England during the offseason and is expected to be quarterback Drake Maye's No. 1 target when healthy. Diggs is currently RotoBaller's WR48 in current offseason rankings, but expect his fantasy stock to go up with the latest news.

The Hindustan Times reports that the Los Angeles Chargers have not physically seen running back Najee Harris (eye) since he suffered a superficial eye injury during a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July. Despite having not seen Harris yet, general manager Joe Hortiz said that Harris has been in "good spirits" and "everything that has been relayed to us is positive." Harris is undergoing treatment for his injury at Stanford and was placed on the Non-Football Injury list earlier this week. The 27-year-old is missing the start of training camp this week due to his eye injury, but he's not expected to be out for long and is fully expected to be ready to roll by Week 1 in early September. Still, it's a bad start for Harris in his first year in L.A. after the Bolts took big-play back Omarion Hampton in the first round in April. Miami Dolphins second-year running back Jaylen Wright has plenty of confidence in himself and thinks he can have a big year in 2025 alongside lead back De'Von Achane. "I just really feel like and I know I can be a top back in this league," Wright said on Up & Adams. "I feel like just my skill set, my ability and the system I'm in, it sets me up to be great." The 22-year-old speedy back played more than a quarter of the offensive snaps in only three games in 2024 and finished with only 249 rushing yards on 68 carries. Achane is on the smaller side at 5-foot-8 and 188 pounds, so it would make sense for them to try and spell him more often with Wright in 2025. Wright, a former fourth-rounder, is enticing as a handcuff option to Achane due to his speed and big-play ability. His main competition for a bigger role in his sophomore season will come from Alexander Mattison.

The New Orleans Saints and quarterback Tyler Shough reached an agreement on Saturday on a four-year, fully-guaranteed rookie deal worth $10,795,000, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Shough, who was taken 40th overall in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft, is the last player that was taken this year to secure a fully-guaranteed deal. Although Shough will have competition from Spencer Rattler for the starting QB job in his rookie season, he figures to be the favorite to start under center in Week 1 this fall after Derek Carr's abrupt retirement this offseason. The 25-year-old spent seven years in college, so he has plenty of experience, and he threw for 3,195 yards and 23 yards in 2024 at Louisville. He has good size and arm strength, but his downfield accuracy is a concern. There won't be much fantasy upside here early on if he wins the starting gig. Think low-end QB2 as a game manager more than anything.

The Los Angeles Rams reached an agreement on Saturday with second-round tight end Terrance Ferguson on a four-year, $9,713,466 contract, including $8,046,753 in guarantees, according to his agent Steve Caric. The Rams took Ferguson with the 46th overall pick in April's NFL draft out of Oregon. The 22-year-old consistently produced for the Ducks and had his best season in 2024, catching 43 passes for 591 yards and three touchdowns. While Ferguson won't be drafted in standard-sized redraft leagues this fall, he represents valuable insurance for Tyler Higbee, who played in only three regular-season games in 2024 due to injury. Ferguson has good size at 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, but he may need to prove to the coaching staff that he's able to handle himself as a blocker before he can overtake Higbee as the primary pass-catching TE.

The Cincinnati Bengals and second-round linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. agreed to a four-year rookie deal on Saturday with almost 80 percent fully guaranteed at signing, sources told FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. It is the first time in NFL history that the 49th overall pick has had guarantees in Year 4 of his contract. Knight is now under contract just in time for the team's rookies to report to training camp on Saturday. The 24-year-old from South Carolina stands at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds and is expected to compete for playing time in his first year in the NFL next to linebacker Logan Wilson. After drafting Knight in the second round back in April, the Bengals released Germaine Pratt to free up a spot.

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet was initially taken aback when the team took rookie Colston Loveland in the first round in April, but now he's beginning to buy into new head coach Ben Johnson's offensive vision. "I'm excited about it. I'm excited to not only push him but then for him to push me. We're going to make each other better. I think the goal with it is to become the best 12 (personnel) tandem in the league and see where we can take it from there," Kmet said. In Detroit, Johnson's offense ran the third-most plays out of 12 personnel (two TEs) in the league, posted a success rate of 47.9%, averaged a gain of 6.2 yards per play and logged 59 explosive plays in 2024. The Lions also had the most TDs out of 12 personnel. It doesn't mean Chicago's offense will be among the best in the league immediately, but Kmet's demise might be premature, especially with Loveland still rehabbing a shoulder injury heading into training camp.
