St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado left Wednesday's game against the host Miami Marlins in the eighth inning after he was hit by a pitch on the right elbow.
Arenado, who was drilled by a fastball from Huascar Brazoban, was replaced on the bases and in the field by Jose Fermin.
Arenado, 33, went 2-for-3 with a run prior to leaving the game.
The 10-time Gold Glove winner and eight-time All-Star is batting .260 with six homers and 32 RBIs in 70 games this season.
