Logan O'Hoppe tied the game in the sixth with a two-run home run, Luis Rengifo delivered an RBI single an inning later and the visiting Los Angeles Angels held on to defeat the San Francisco Giants 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.

The Los Angeles bullpen picked up starter Patrick Sandoval with four innings of shutout ball, helping the Angels win a second straight game in the series by exactly half the count of Friday's 8-6 triumph.

After taking the opener of the three-game set in front-running fashion, the Angels trailed 2-0 early and then 3-1 before finally drawing even in the sixth against Giants starter Keaton Winn. O'Hoppe's homer, his ninth of the season, came after Winn had walked Taylor Ward to open the inning.

Matt Moore (3-2) pitched a scoreless bottom of the sixth, setting up the visitors' winning run in the seventh, which came against Giants reliever Ryan Walker (4-3).

Nolan Schanuel did most of the work -- drawing a two-out walk before stealing second and advancing to third on catcher Curt Casali's throwing error -- before Rengifo singled to center for a 4-3 lead.

Hunter Strickland, Luis Garcia and Carlos Estevez took it from there, with Estevez nailing down his 12th save by striking out two of the three men he faced in the ninth.

The Giants needed just 12 pitches to go up 2-0 against Sandoval. After Austin Slater slapped the fourth pitch of the game into left field for a single, Heliot Ramos ended an eight-pitch at-bat with a two-run homer to left-center, his eighth long ball of the season.

Mickey Moniak got one of the runs back for the Angels with a second-inning solo shot, his third home run of the year, before Ramos came through again in the fifth, driving home Casali with a double to give San Francisco a 3-1 lead.

Ramos finished 3-for-5 with all three RBIs for the Giants, who lost for the fourth time in their past six games. Casali added a double and a single as San Francisco outhit the guests 10-6.

O'Hoppe and Rengifo had two hits apiece for the Angels, who won a second game in a row for the first time since a three-game winning streak from June 3-5.

Winn gave up three runs on five hits in six innings. Sandoval went five innings, allowing three runs and eight hits.
