Tobias Myers Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers was dominant in his start in a 10-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday. Myers tossed eight innings of shutout ball while striking out five, walking three, and allowing just one hit to earn the win for his team. That easily goes down as the best appearance of Myers' young career. Myers has now made eight appearances (seven starts) for the Brewers this season, posting a 2-2 record, 4.15 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts over 34 2/3 innings of work. Fantasy gamers will want to consider adding Myers where available in case he's able to continue to build upon Friday's success.

Nick Lodolo Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Cincinnati Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo turned in a quality start on the way to earning the win in a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Lodolo allowed one run on four hits over six innings while striking out seven and walking two to help lead the Reds to the win. The 26-year-old lefty has now made nine starts this season, posting a 6-2 record, 2.92 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts over 52 1/3 innings of work. Lodolo has proven his worth as a quality fantasy starting pitcher and should be locked into lineups whenever he takes the mound. His next scheduled start is set for Wednesday at home against the Cleveland Guardians.

Bryan De La Cruz Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz picked up three hits in a 3-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Friday. De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo homer to help power Miami to the series-opening win over Cleveland. The 27-year-old outfielder blasted a 432-foot solo bomb off Cleveland starter Logan Allen in the third inning to give the Marlins their first run of the ballgame. De La Cruz is now hitting .252 with 11 homers, 30 runs, 28 RBI, and a steal across 246 at-bats this season. Well on his way to establishing a new career-high in homers (19), De La Cruz has been a nice source of cheap power this season.

Jordan Westburg Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jordan Westburg had a strong night at the plate in his team's 6-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday. Westburg went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in the winning effort. The 25-year-old's two-run homer in the eighth inning traveled 369 feet and had an exit velocity of 101 MPH. Westburg is now hitting .280 with 10 homers, 32 runs, 38 RBI, and six steals across 218 at-bats for the O's in 2024. His power production this season has been a pleasant surprise after he hit just three homers in 208 at-bats last season as a rookie. Westburg is worth a spot in starting lineups in deeper fantasy leagues moving forward.

Jose Siri Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk, two runs, and an RBI in a 6-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. Siri hit a solo shot off Baltimore starter Cole Irvin in the second inning, a blast that traveled 400 feet and had an exit velocity of 105.1 MPH. The 28-year-old Siri is now hitting just .197 with six homers, 21 runs, 22 RBI, and seven steals across 152 at-bats in 2024. Despite his overall poor numbers, Siri has been swinging a hot bat of late, hitting .292 with three homers over his past seven games. Siri will look to stay hot as his team's weekend series against the O's continues on Saturday.

Luis Robert Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert went yard in a 7-2 win over the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Robert wound up going 1-for-4 with the homer and a strikeout in the winning effort. Robert's solo shot came off Boston starter Cooper Criswell in the first inning, a blast that traveled 430 feet and had an exit velocity of 111.7 MPH. Robert is now hitting .205 with four homers, six runs, six RBI, and one steal across 44 at-bats in 2024. He will look to go yard again on Saturday as the Red Sox send right-hander Brayan Bello to the mound.

Wilmer Flores Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

San Francisco Giants first baseman Wilmer Flores had a big night in a 5-2 win over the Texas Rangers on Friday. Flores went 2-for-5 with a pair of solo homers in the winning effort. The veteran infielder hit both of his homers off Texas starter Michael Lorenzen, one in the second inning and another in the fourth. Flores is now hitting .224 with four homers, 16 runs, and 21 RBI across 156 at-bats this season. He has done most of his damage of late, hitting .280 with three homers and seven RBI over his past seven contests. Flores is worth a look in deep, NL-only leagues while he is swinging a hot bat.

Brice Turang Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang had a big day at the plate in a 10-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday. Turang went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs, two RBI, and a stolen base in the winning effort. The four-hit effort raises Turang's batting average to .303, to go along with 13 doubles, three homers, 28 runs, 23 RBI, and 22 stolen bases across 201 at-bats this season. Hitting .400 with three steals over his past seven games, Turang has emerged as an elite source of stolen bases in fantasy and should remain locked into fantasy lineups moving forward.

Roderick Arias Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

New York Yankees shortstop prospect Roderick Arias tallied three hits on Friday evening with a triple and a home run and brought home a career-high six runs. Arias has struggled through his first look at Single-A ball but has recently begun to string together strong performances. Over his past 17 games, the 19-year-old is riding a .260/.291/.425 line with 15 RBI and five swiped bags. However, overall on the season, the switch-hitter holds an underwhelming .218/.321/.359 line with 29 RBI and 14 stolen bases through 52 games. Arias is ranked as the number four prospect in the Yankee system on MLB Pipeline and is not projected to reach the majors until 2027. However, he could be worth stashing if not already in dynasty leagues once he reaches High-A.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto turned in a quality start in a 2-1 win over the New York Yankees on Friday. Yamamoto tossed seven innings of shutout ball while allowing just two hits, striking out seven, and walking two but had to settle for a no-decision in the 11-inning game. Yamamoto has been excellent in his first season in MLB, posting a 6-2 record, 3.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 83 strikeouts across 72 innings of work. He will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled for Thursday at home against the Texas Rangers.

Agustin Ramirez Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

New York Yankees catching prospect Agustin Ramirez launched three home runs and extended his hitting streak to three games. Over his past 13 games, Ramirez has been exceptional with a .321/.339/.607 line and 12 RBI. Through the early part of the season in his first extended look at Double-A, the 22-year-old has looked quite comfortable with a .282/.377/.585 line with 15 total long balls, 41 RBI, and a 28:38 BB:K ratio in 49 games. This is a significant improvement compared to his .211 AVG he held through 31 games with Double-A Somerset last summer. MLB Pipeline projects Ramirez to reach the majors in 2026, but with how well he is performing, a 2025 debut is not out of reach.

Joey Loperfido Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Houston Astros outfield prospect Joey Loperfido was recalled Saturday to take the place of star outfielder Kyle Tucker who landed on the 10-Day IL with a shin contusion. Loperfido had a solid 14-game debut with the Astros last month where the left-handed hitter hit .333 (13-for-39) with a double, a home run, five RBI, four runs scored, and a stolen base. We'll see if he sticks with the big league club once Tucker returns, but he'll have to work on making more contact. The last time around the 25-year-old posted a 39.5% strikeout rate with a 3:17 BB:K over 43 plate appearances. Abreu has done nothing of note since his return so a good showing from Loperfido could spell trouble for Abreu. For now, even with the high strikeout rate, Loperfido is a solid waiver add that should be able to get on base and hopefully will show more of the power that allowed him to hit 13 home runs at Triple-A this season.

Garrett Crochet Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Garrett Crochet picked up his sixth win of the season in Friday's 7-2 victory over the Red Sox. The lefty went six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on just three hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters. After a rough three-game stretch in mid-to-late April, Crochet has gone 5-1 since April 29, a span of seven starts and 40 IP. The former first-round draft pick allowed two earned runs or less in each of those starts, and one or less in five of them, posting a 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and an elite 30.5% K-BB%. His 93 K on the season ranks fourth-best, and he'll get to face Seattle his next time out, the team with the most strikeouts in the majors this season.

    From RotoBaller

Chris Bassitt Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassitt threw eight innings of one-run ball in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Athletics but did not factor into the decision. The veteran allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out seven, but the Jays' offense did not provide enough run support to allow him to pick up the victory despite the stellar showing. Aside from a seven-run hiccup against the Dodgers back on April 26, Bassitt has been rather good this season, allowing three earned runs or less in 10 of 13 starts and two or less in seven of them. The righty now has a 3.80 ERA on the season with a 1.38 WHIP and a 70:28 K:BB in 73 1/3 IP.

    From RotoBaller

Yainer Diaz Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Houston Astros catcher Yainer Diaz went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-1 victory over the Angels. One of the hits was a home run, Diaz's seventh of the season, and it was the backstop's fourth consecutive game with a home run. Diaz had a breakout campaign in 2023, belting 23 long balls with a .282 average in just 104 games played, so expectations were high coming into 2024. Managers who drafted the catcher were likely disappointed with his production prior to this recent outburst, as the 25-year-old's last home run came on April 11, a stretch of 39 games and 142 at-bats without one. His recent four-game stretch has put him solidly in the Top-12 for fantasy now. He'll have a challenge continuing the HR streak Saturday against the Angels' LHP Tyler Anderson, who Diaz is 0-for-3 off of in his career with three strikeouts.

Ketel Marte Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte went 2-for-5 with a home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres. Marte's home run was a two-run shot and 13th of the year, second-most among second basemen. Marte had a 21-game hit streak come to an end in May and subsequently went 2-for-31 (.065) over the next eight games, but has caught fire again, going 11-for-22 (.500) over the last six games with four multi-hit performances which includes three home runs.

    From RotoBaller

    Ha-Seong Kim Sat Jun 8 10:30am CT

San Diego Padres shortstop Ha-Seong Kim stuffed the stat sheet in Friday's 10-3 victory over the Diamondbacks, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, three runs scored, and a walk. Kim's season has been a bit of a mixed bag with June a good example of how it has gone. In June, the 28-year-old has three multi-hit games out of seven games, but is also hitless in three games this month. For the season, he's tallied a .223-8-29-34-13 line with a .320 wOBA and 113 wRC+. The wOBA and wRC+ are more or less in line with last season's numbers in which he ended with a .260-17-60-84-38 line, so managers are hoping he can pick up the pace in the batting average department, but otherwise he's on track for similar stats.

    From RotoBaller

Chris Sale Sat Jun 8 12:57am CT

Atlanta's SP Chris Sale recorded 10 strikeouts in 7 innings but took the loss in a 2-1 loss to Washington on Friday, Jun. 7.

Garrett Crochet Sat Jun 8 12:40am CT

Chicago White Sox's SP Garrett Crochet recorded 10 strikeouts in 6 innings getting the win in a 7-2 win over the Red Sox on Friday, Jun. 7.

Oneil Cruz Fri Jun 7 10:20am CT

Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and a stolen base in an 11-7 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. Cruz added a pair of runs and three RBI to his line, giving him an excellent evening at the dish. It hasn't been great of late for the talented infielder, who had gone 15 games in a row without a homer and 14 in a row without a steal before this one. Considering those are the two categories that fantasy managers drafted him for, it's been a bit of a disaster lately. That being said, if Cruz can find his stroke he can go on a tear that few other players can, making him a must-roster player even when he isn't doing much well.
