Milwaukee's F Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded a triple-double, finishing with 35 points, 20 assists and 17 rebounds in a 126-113 win over Philadelphia on Thursday, Apr. 3.
Wizards' G Carlton Carrington scored 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting in a 97-109 loss to the Magic on Thursday, Apr. 3. Carrington is owned in only 21.7% leagues.
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (ankle) is probable for Friday's game against Golden State. After amassing a 61-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double in the double-overtime win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday, the multi-time MVP didn't suit up the following night versus the San Antonio Spurs. DeAndre Jordan got the start, with the veteran finishing with 10 points, 17 rebounds, one block, and one steal. With that in mind, if Jokic is cleared to suit up on Friday, Jordan isn't worth starting in any fantasy format. The same can be said about Jalen Pickett and Hunter Tyson, even if Aaron Gordon (calf), Jamal Murray (hamstring), and Christian Braun (foot) aren't available.
Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (pelvis) will play on Thursday versus the Lakers. He took a fall in a recent meeting with the San Antonio Spurs and was ruled out heading into Tuesday's 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. As a result, Gui Santos saw a few extra minutes and finished the night with four points, six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. It isn't known if Kuminga's minutes will be scaled back in this one. But his presence should mean Santos will only see 15-20 minutes of action.
Washington Wizards centerRichaun Holmes(shoulder) is unavailable for Thursday's matchup with the Orlando Magic. The 31-year-old will be out of action due to a right shoulder contusion. Holmes exited Wednesday's games against the Sacramento Kings after sustaining the injury. He posted two points during the two minutes he played in. His next chance to return to the floor is an away game against the Celtics in Boston on Sunday.
Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (ankle) won't play against the Orlando Magic on Thursday. George will be out of action for the sixth consecutive contest due to a sprained left ankle. The 21-year-old rookie has played in 64 games this season, averaging 8.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 assists across 26.8 minutes per contest. While George is sidelined, Justin Champagnie will likely take on extra minutes after finishing with eight points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block during 30 minutes of work against the Kings on Wednesday.
Washington Wizards forwardKhris Middleton(ankle) is unavailable for Thursday's game against the Orlando Magic. Middleton will miss his fourth consecutive contest due to a right knee contusion. He last played on March 27 versus the Pacers and finished with eight points, one rebound and two assists across 14 minutes on the floor. His next chance to suit up comes on Sunday versus the Boston Celtics.
Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) will play on Thursday versus Minnesota. The veteran continues to appear on the injury report because of a sore ankle. Yet, he was able to suit up for Monday's win over the Dallas Mavericks, finishing with 18 points, 11 assists, two steals, and one block. With Cameron Johnson (back) ruled out, Russell should be one of the Nets' top producers on Thursday evening.
Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (hand) is available for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers. The 23-year-old has been bothered by a contusion on his right hand, which has undoubtedly impacted his shooting numbers of late. It's unknown how much action Barnes will continue to receive heading toward the end of the 2024-25 campaign. But as far as Thursday night is concerned, the absences of Gradey Dick (knee), Jakob Poeltl (rest), and Immanuel Quickley (rest) should keep Barnes busy on both ends of the floor.
Washington Wizards guardJordan Poole(elbow) is unavailable for Thursday's matchup with the Orlando Magic. The 25-year-old will be sidelined for the first time since March 5 due to an elbow issue. Poole played on Wednesday against the Kings and posted 23 points, two rebounds and two assists across 24 minutes. His next chance to play is Sunday against the Boston Celtics. Marcus SmartandBub Carringtonwill likely absorb most of the available minutes in the backcourt this evening.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Philadelphia 76ers point guardTyrese Maxey(finger)will miss the rest of the 2024-25 season. Maxey has been out of action since March due to a sprained right finger. The Sixers are being cautious shutting down Maxey with only six games left on their schedule since he is still dealing with discomfort. The 24-year-old joins Joel Embiid(knee),Paul George(groin), andJared McCain(knee), who are already out for the remainder of the season. Lonnie Walker,Quentin Grimes, and Jared Butler will continue to see an uptick in minutes down the stretch.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (forearm) is listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of Thursday's encounter with the Toronto Raptors. A contusion on his right forearm might sideline Simons for a second consecutive game. With Scoot Henderson (concussion) also on the shelf, Dalano Banton was promoted to the first unit Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks. He produced a solid line in the game with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four blocks. It appears that Banton may have a large role to play again on Thursday against his hometown team.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson (concussion) will remain sidelined for Thursday's meeting with the Toronto Raptors. He is still in concussion protocol, sitting out a third consecutive game. With Henderson no longer in the lineup, Dalano Banton has taken on a larger role. He was busy at both ends in Tuesday's 127-113 win over the Atlanta Hawks, although a 4-for-15 effort from the field limited Banton's scoring output. He finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four blocks.
Toronto Raptors point guard Immanuel Quickley (rest) will not play on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He will be taken out of the lineup for rest purposes. Jamal Shead is likely to come into the starting lineup to fill in for Quickley, who is expected to return to action on Friday against the Detroit Pistons. Shead has provided decent fantasy value as a starter, averaging 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 1.4 steals in the role. He may even be busier than usual on Thursday night, as Portland allows the 11th-most fantasy points in the league to opposing point guards.
Toronto Raptors guard/forward Scottie Barnes (finger) is considered questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has sustained a joint contusion on one of the fingers of his right hand. Toronto has begun to rest its big names regularly in recent weeks, but Barnes has made 10 consecutive appearances. Ochai Agbaji (rest), who is returning to the lineup on Thursday, will help fill the void left by Barnes if he can't play. Meanwhile, Ja'Kobe Walter, A.J. Lawson, and Jamison Battle will also have additional playing opportunities.
Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard (calf) may be back on the floor sooner than expected. "He's hopeful to get cleared in the next week or week and a half to go full-go and then resume basketball in games for the Bucks," ESPN's Shams Charania said on Wednesday during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. Lillard has been out of action since March 18 due to a blood-clotting issue related to his right calf. It looks like the Bucks could get him back into the lineup for the playoffs, which begin on April 19. Until then, Ryan Rollins will continue to roll as the starting point guard. He has recently started to feel more comfortable in the role, averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over the past three games.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (rest) will exit the lineup on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers. This is a scheduled rest day for Poeltl, who has sat out every other game over the last four weeks. Poeltl's absence elevates the fantasy value of Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo. In the most recent game Poeltl missed, both players had productive outings. In a 127-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, Robinson notched 13 points with four rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal, while Mogbo finished with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal.
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) is likely to play on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers, as the team lists him as probable on the injury report. Antetokounmpo missed a matchup against the Denver Nuggets last week, but this is his only absence since the All-Star break. The Bucks need wins on the board, and Antetokounmpo must play to get them, especially with Damian Lillard (calf) unavailable. Antetokounmpo has scored at least 30 points in each of his last five appearances, picking up three double-doubles during that stretch. Last time out against the Phoenix Suns, he reached a double-double with assists, finishing a 133-123 win with 37 points, five boards, 11 dimes, one block, and three steals.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (groin) is considered probable for Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. James is set for another head-to-head battle against Stephen Curry despite being on the injury report with a left groin strain, which sidelined the Lakers superstar for seven games last month. Since returning, James has struggled with his shooting, going 43.4 percent from the field to average 18.7 points per game. He will attempt to regain form against a team that has struggled to contain him this season. Over three meetings with the Warriors, James has posted 32.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 10.0 assists with 57.1 percent three-point shooting.
Denver's G Jalen Pickett recorded a triple-double, finishing with 17 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds in a 106-113 loss to the Spurs on Wednesday, Apr. 2. Pickett is owned in very few, if any leagues.
