New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is officially active for Sunday's matchup with the Suns. He's been sidelined for a month after tweaking his ankle during the March 6 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Miles McBride (groin), Cameron Payne (ankle), and most recently, Delon Wright, had been filling in. However, even though Brunson could see limited action in his first game back from the lengthy layoff, he should handle most of the minutes at the one, leaving little room for involvement from anyone else.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (forearm) remains out for Sunday's matchup with the Spurs. In addition to Simons, Deni Avdija (thumb), Jerami Grant (knee), Deandre Ayton (calf), and Scoot Henderson (concussion) are also sidelined. As a result, Toumani Camara (ankle), who is available, Dalano Banton, and Shaedon Sharpe are the favorites to lead the way offensively. On the other hand, Jabari Walker, Matisse Thybulle, and Kris Murray have upside for the DFS managers looking for value.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) won't play on Sunday against Washington. Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is also out. But, truth be told, both players shouldn't be needed to get by the 17-win Wizards. With that said, Derrick White and Jaylen Brown (knee), who is available, should lead the way offensively, with Al Horford, Payton Pritchard, and Jrue Holiday in line for bigger roles.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija (thumb) won't play on Sunday against the Spurs. The Trail Blazers are barely alive for the postseason. However, the team will need to figure out how to win on Sunday night without one of their top producers. To make matters worse, Jerami Grant (knee), Scoot Henderson (concussion), and Deandre Ayton (calf) are out, with Toumani Camara (ankle) and Anfernee Simons (forearm) still questionable. With that in mind, Shaedon Sharpe and Dalano Banton could be busier than usual, with Kris Murray, Matisse Thybulle, and Donovan Clingan potentially in line for bigger roles on the offensive end.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Toumani Camara (ankle) is available for Sunday's meeting with the Spurs. The Blazers are already down Jerami Grant (knee), Deni Avdija (thumb), Scoot Henderson (concussion), and Deandre Ayton (calf). Anfernee Simons (forearm) remains questionable. As a result, Camara should be busy on Sunday night, so he should be considered a must-start in any fantasy setup.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (groin) is available for Sunday's meeting with OKC. The Lakers are hoping to lock up the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference. However, Los Angeles has a tough task on the horizon versus arguably the best team in the National Basketball Association. With that in mind, James struggled the last time he faced the Thunder back in November, finishing with only 12 points while committing five turnovers.
Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (hand) won't suit up on Sunday against the Nets, marking his second-consecutive absence. Barnes was absent for Friday's loss to the Detroit Pistons. As a result, Jonathan Mogbo entered the starting lineup and finished with six points, eight rebounds, and one block. However, Jakob Poeltl (hand) and Immanuel Quickley (rest) are also out for this one, so Mogbo should see a bump in production behind Ja'Kobe Walter, Jamal Shead, and RJ Barrett.
Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (rest) won't play against the Nets on Sunday afternoon. Quickley may only suit up just a few more times before the Raptors call it a year. But as far as Sunday's contest is concerned, Jamal Shead, who had 10 points and two steals in his last start, should once again fill the void in the rotation. Shead may be more productive if Scottie Barnes (hand) isn't available.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (hand) won't play on Sunday against the Nets. It's unknown how many more times Poeltl will see work for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, considering the Raptors aren't going to the postseason. But as far as Sunday's matinee is concerned, Orlando Robinson, who had 14 points, five rebounds, and one steal in his last start, should fill the void in the rotation. It's also worth noting that Poeltl didn't play when these clubs last met on March 26, with Robinson amassing 23 points and 12 rebounds as a member of the starting lineup.
Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Raptors. The Nets have five games left on the schedule. However, Brooklyn isn't going anywhere near the postseason in any capacity, so it's possible Russell is done for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. With Nicolas Claxton (rest) and Cameron Johnson (back) also ruled out, Keon Johnson, Ziaire Williams, and Trendon Watford may be the most reliable fantasy options, although Tyrese Martin and Drew Timme may also get more involved.
Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (rest) won't play on Sunday against the visiting Raptors. The Nets are limping to the finish line, so Claxton may only make a few more appearances the rest of the way. With Day'Ron Sharpe (knee) and Noah Clowney (ankle) also sidelined, Drew Timme, who has averaged 11.3 and 5.0 rebounds in four professional appearances, could find his way into the starting lineup or at least see enough minutes off the bench to remain a practical streaming option.
Indiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam (elbow) will miss Sunday's matchup in Denver. He had a monster outing on Friday in Utah, finishing with 22 points, four blocks, and three steals. However, the former Raptor won't suit up because of right olecranon bursitis. As a result, Obi Toppin, who had 34 points and 10 rebounds in his only start of the year on March 17 (Siakam's last absence) is worth considering for fantasy purposes.
Bucks' F Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded a triple-double, finishing with 36 points, 10 assists and 15 rebounds in a 121-115 win over Miami on Saturday, Apr. 5.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (illness) won't play on Saturday versus Detroit. He wasn't listed on the injury report throughout the day on Saturday. However, Morant won't suit up due to an illness. The late scratch is certainly frustrating for DFS participants and fantasy managers. But his absence should result in increased production from Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Scotty Pippen Jr.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) will play on Saturday versus the Heat. The foot sprain continues to be an issue. Fortunately, it won't be enough to keep the multi-time All-Star off the floor. Of course, Antetokounmpo is always a must-start in any redraft format. On the other hand, he's averaged only 24 points in two meetings with Miami this season, so DFS managers might have a tough time getting a return on their investment.
Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (calf) will suit up on Saturday against Memphis after missing the last six games because of a calf contusion. It's possible the 23-year-old plays fewer than the 35 minutes he's averaged throughout the 2024-25 campaign, but that doesn't mean he should be left out of fantasy lineups. With that in mind, Cunningham's return could result in a dip in production from Dennis Schroder, who has amassed double-digit scoring performances in five of his last six appearances, all as a starter.
Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (heel) won't play on Saturday against Memphis. He has a sore heel, so he'll miss his second-consecutive game on Saturday night. Ausar Thompson will continue to handle things at the four spot, with the 22-year-old amassing 15 points, seven boards, three steals, and two blocks in Friday's in over the Raptors. While Thompson remains a viable fantasy commodity, the return of Cade Cunningham (calf) could result in a dip in scoring opportunities.
Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (Peroneal) won't play on Saturday against Memphis. He recently had 21 points, 18 rebounds, and four blocks in Friday's win over the Raptors. But he'll sit this one out, although fantasy managers are hoping things aren't too serious. With Tobias Harris (heel) also out, the team will look to Isaiah Stewart and Ausar Thompson to have most of the minutes at the four and the five spots, giving them both higher fantasy ceilings on Saturday night.
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (thigh) won't play on Saturday versus the Bucks. Herro recently had 35 points and nine rebounds in Thursday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Unfortunately, he will miss Saturday's contest because of a thigh contusion. Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) is also out, so Kel'el Ware, Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, and Davion Mitchell are the favorites to lead the way offensively.
New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't play on Saturday against the Hawks. The Knicks will play the Suns on Sunday. As a result, he's expected to return for the second game of back-to-back outings. Karl-Anthony Towns will remain in the middle, as expected. However, Robinson's absence should mean Precious Achiuwa will see at least 20 minutes of action, with the former Raptor amassing 13 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in Wednesday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
