Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is likely to get plenty of volume, but his upside may be capped a bit when Jacobs and Packers travel down to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in Week 8. While the Jaguars' defense is susceptible through the air, they're a true pass funnel defense as they are 12th in defensive EPA allowed per rushing attempt. With Jacobs, he's relied a ton on volume rather than efficiency, as he's had just one top-12 finish amongst running backs this season. Jacobs enters Week 8 with just two touchdowns on the season and only one 100-yard game, so we're really relying on the touchdown here to make for a good week. While Jacobs has a very stable floor for fantasy managers, the ceiling hasn't been there this season, making him a volume-dependent RB2 option in Week 8 against the Jaguars with the hope that he scores.

The Baltimore Ravens defense/special teams has seen better days than this season. They've given up some of the most fantasy points to opposing passing games and they've given up multiple leads already this year. Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they forced three turnovers but allowed 21 points in the fourth quarter alone and 31 total. They set their sights on a Cleveland Browns team that just lost Deshaun Watson for the season and turned to Jameis Winston under center. He's known to throw some wild balls that turn into interceptions, so the Ravens' defense could capitalize enough to be a solid streaming option this week.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been a consistent force this season for the Packers, and he looks to keep his strong run going when he and the Packers travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in Week 8. Love has thrown multiple touchdown passes in all five games he's played this season. The Jaguars have allowed the most touchdown passes (16) this season, so Love and this Jaguars defense could be a match made in heaven this week. With the sheet number of weapons at his disposal, Love should have little trouble producing fantasy value in Week 8. Consider Love a must-start QB1 in fantasy leagues in this matchup.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has rounded into form over the last few weeks. In their Week 7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made all five of his extra points while knocking through a 28 and 52-yarder. He's now made both of his 50-yard attempts since missing the first two to start the season and he's improved to 12-for-15 overall on the year. The Cleveland Browns allow an average of 9.1 fantasy points per game to opposing kickers, and in AFC North matchups, they usually turn out to either be field goal affairs or shootouts that call for plenty of extra points. Either way, Tucker is a solid option to start in Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis remains a high-upside running back bench stash as the team approaches the halfway mark of their season. The rookie flashed his potential in his feature role in Week 6 but was relegated to the backup role with James Cook healthy again. Under offensive coordinator Joe Brady, the Bills lean on Cook and the running game to win games. Should anything happen to Cook, Davis is a direct replacement. For now, he can't be started in fantasy football lineups and ranks as a desperation RB4 against Seattle.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry will step into his second AFC North matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8. He has found the end zone in every game so far this year including two receiving touchdowns which ties a career-high for most in a season. Despite the fact that the Browns are ranked as the 25th-easiest matchup against opposing backfields, Henry has the ability and talent to remain a must-start. Especially since this doesn't seem to have the makings of a shootout-type of game with the injuries that the Browns have endured.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman is currently on pace to shatter all of his career highs for stats in a single season. He averages 18.8 yards per reception, 56.3 yards per game, and 13.1 yards per target so far. His counterpart, Zay Flowers (ankle), received a questionable designation, so he could even move up in the target order for this game. On top of that, he draws a favorable matchup as the Cleveland Browns are the fifth-easiest matchup for opposing receiver groups. They allow 31.1 fantasy points per game in half-PPR formats. All of that gives Bateman some more flex appeal when it comes to Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has finally started to produce the type of fantasy performances that managers have expected. He's finished as the TE3 in each of the last two weeks in half-PPR formats and has gathered 107 yards and three touchdowns on seven receptions. This all has come despite playing right around 50% of snaps. In Week 8, he'll take on the Cleveland Browns who are one of the tougher teams against opposing tight ends. They allow 5.1 fantasy points per game to the position and there are only three other teams that allow fewer. He's a bit of a risky start, but comes in around a low-end TE1, especially if Zay Flowers (ankle) doesn't suit up.
From RotoBaller
Khalil Shakir's role as one of the most efficient wide receivers in the NFL shouldn't change with Amari Cooper's integration into the offense, but it should take some targets away. Buffalo's slot receiver is catching 96.4% of his targets (just one incompletion) in six games. Shakir has finished between 54-72 yards in four games this season. Seattle defends slot receivers better than they do outside receivers. Shakir rarely lines up out wide and Amari Cooper will command more targets than he did in his debut. That puts Shakir in the WR4 conversation for Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman, one week removed from a career-high 125 receiving yards, won the NFL's Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week honor. The seven targets he received in Week 7 are on the high end of what fantasy managers can expect in Week 8. Amari Cooper will command more targets in his second game with the team and Khalil Shakir is further removed from an ankle injury that cost him a game. Those two, plus tight end Dalton Kincaid, place Coleman fourth in the pecking order. He does have three catches of over 40 yards since Week 5. While Coleman's stock is rising, limited opportunities and big-play potential make him a boom-or-bust option in Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is considered the front-runner for his third MVP so far through seven weeks. He'll lead the high-powered Ravens offense into Cleveland to take on the Browns in their second AFC North matchup of the year. Jackson currently sits at QB1 and has the fifth-most passing yards, second-most passing touchdowns, and the second-most yards per attempt amongst starting quarterbacks. While the Browns are a tougher matchup against opposing QBs, Jackson will look to take advantage of a tired defensive unit while their offense lacks firepower. In his career, Jackson has a 7-4 record against the Browns with 1,813 passing yards and 20 total touchdowns. He remains a must-start.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (collarbone) is off the injury report and ready to suit up against the Seattle Seahawks. He's been managing a collarbone issue that has limited him in practice for the last couple of weeks. Kincaid has been a fantasy football disappointment this season (TE12, season-high of 52 yards) but has an opportunity to right the ship against the Seahawks. Seattle allows the fifth-most yards and eighth-most fantasy points to the position. Fantasy managers hope Amari Cooper can draw defensive attention away from Kincaid and allow him to finish as a TE1.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (left hand) is seeking a third straight week as a QB1 and draws a matchup against Seattle that doesn't raise any concerns. The Seahawks are middle-of-the-pack against fantasy football quarterbacks. Allen continues to appear on the Buffalo injury report with a left hand issue but it hasn't limited him and he won't carry a designation into the weekend. With Amari Cooper on the roster, Allen has a clear-cut number-one receiver he didn't have earlier in the season. As has been the case all season, Allen is a QB1 for fantasy football this weekend and should be started in all leagues.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook has successfully fended off an enticing rookie running back. When Cook missed Week 6 with a toe injury, Ray Davis exploded, creating fears of a committee. Cook returned in Week 7 and dominated touches before the game became a blowout. The 25-year-old has six touchdowns in as many games this season and failed to score or top 100 yards once (Week 4 at Baltimore). Expect another heavy dosage of touches for Cook against Seattle, a defense that allows the 12th-most fantasy points per game to the position.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper finished as the WR14 (four catches, 66 yards, and a touchdown) in his debut with the team a week ago. That production came on just 35% of the snaps as Cooper learned his new team's playbook. His involvement will only increase moving forward, stealing snaps and opportunities from Keon Coleman and Mack Hollins. The Seattle Seahawks are slightly above average in fantasy points surrendered to the wide receiver position. Cooper is a WR2 this weekend and should be started in nearly every league.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos defensive back Patrick Surtain II (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will return to action this weekend according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. Surtain was held out of action last week with a concussion but will return to face the Carolina Panthers. Through the first half of the season, the star defensive back has tallied 14 total tackles (eight solo) with two interceptions and a touchdown. Surtain will likely face rookie wideout Xavier Legette on Sunday afternoon, as No.1 receiver Dionate Johnson (ribs) will not suit up. Legette should be given a heavy workload operating as the top pass catcher but faces a tall task again Surtain.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk (concussion) will not suit up in Week 8 when the Patriots face the New York Jets. Polk remained sidelined during practice the entire week and will now set his sights on returning in Week 9 to face the Tennessee Titans. The Washington product has had a rough start to his professional career as he has caught just ten passes through his first seven games with 78 yards and one score. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte to lead the New England passing attack against the New York secondary who has allowed the fifth-fewest points to opposing wideouts.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) was activated off the injured reserve and is expected to make his season debut next week. In a corresponding move, the Vikings placed offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw on the injured reserve. Hockenson has been sidelined since the beginning of the season after suffering a torn ACL and MCL last year. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status next week during practice but should be expected to return to action. Before suffering a season-ending injury, the 27-year-old tight end was on pace to enjoy the best season of his career as he caught 95 passes for 960 yards and five scores. He should be viewed as a high-end TE1 for the remainder of the season.
From RotoBaller
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons (ankle) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Parsons has now been sidelined since suffering a high-ankle sprain in their Week 4 victory over the New York Giants. Fantasy managers in IDP leagues should expect DeMarvion Overshown and Damone Clark to see the majority of snaps at the linebacker position. Linebacker Erik Kendricks (shoulder) listed as questionable and could also be in danger of missing Sunday's game. Without Parsons, the San Francisco offense should have a much easier time moving downfield. Running back Jordan Mason is poised for a great showing on Sunday evening as the Cowboys have already allowed the 31st-most PPR points to opposing RBs.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is officially off the team's injury report ahead of their Week 8 matchup. The Wisconsin product returned to practice on Wednesday in a limited fashion and was able to upgrade his participation to full on Thursday and Friday. It's excellent news for the Colts, as Taylor -- who has been out since Week 5 -- should resume handling RB1 duties for the team in their road outing against the Houston Texans. While it will be hard to bench him, fantasy managers will want to temper expectations for the fifth-year RB coming off a high-ankle sprain in a difficult matchup. The 25-year-old rushed for 48 yards and a score on 16 carries back in Week 1 against their division rivals.
