Micah Parsons Jul 27 2:40pm CT
    Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has been an imposing defensive presence over the years. However, it appears Parsons could be more dominant than ever, with Mike Zimmer taking over as the team's defensive coordinator. "Without getting into specifics, the way Mike Zimmer and that defensive staff are using him is going to be a really good challenge for us," said head coach Mike McCarthy. "He looks good. Just playing a couple of different positions, but yeah, I'm impressed with him." Parsons has enjoyed how things have gone so far under Zimmer and plans to be "all over" during the 2024-25 campaign. The 2021 No. 12 overall pick has been a menace for offensive linemen since entering the National Football League. In 50 games, he has totaled 213 tackles, adding 40.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. Parsons has been instrumental to the success of Cowboys defense. Yet, the 25-year-old could make the unit even more productive for fantasy managers this season if things work out as advertised.

    D.K. Metcalf Jul 27 2:30pm CT
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has been a top fantasy wideout for years. However, according to quarterback Geno Smith, Metcalf has "another level" and plans to "unlock" it this season. "That's my job to keep pushing him and that's his job to keep coming and bringing it every single day," Smith said. "I'm just trying to push him and hopefully I can be the quarterback that he needs to unlock that." It's a new era in Seattle, with the Seahawks hiring former Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald. The team also brought in Ryan Grubb from the University of Washington to serve as the new offensive coordinator. But despite the changes, Smith and Metcalf already have an established rapport, so it seems the duo is more motivated than ever to dominate opposing defenses during the 2024-25 campaign. Without question, Metcalf has all the tools necessary to remain an elite fantasy producer, considering he's gone for over 1,000 receiving yards in three of his five seasons in the National Football League while totaling 43 touchdowns during that span.

Brock Purdy Jul 27 2:10pm CT
    Brock Purdy

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy won't be satisfied by just winning games this season. "I want to be dominant," said Purdy in an interview. "Not just win games and feel like, 'eh.' I want to be dominant with the consistent decisions and feeling like we're the top dogs every day." The signal-caller finished the 2023-24 campaign by throwing for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 11 picks. Unlike last offseason, Purdy won't be rehabbing from elbow surgery, and with plenty of weapons in his arsenal, he might accomplish his goal of dominating opposing defenses in 2024-25.

Frank Darby Jul 27 2:00pm CT
    Frank Darby

The 49ers signed free-agent wide receiver Frank Darby on Saturday. He is set to receive a one-year deal. The Falcons selected the 26-year-old using the No. 187 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. In 15 games in Atlanta, Darby caught just two of his five targets for 29 yards. He also spent time with the practice squad. If Darby is on the field come Week 1, he'll likely spend most of his time on special teams, making him nearly irrelevant as a fantasy wideout. In a corresponding move, the 49ers waived cornerback Kemon Hall.

Ryan Tannehill Jul 27 1:40pm CT
    Ryan Tannehill

Free-agent quarterback Ryan Tannehill is enjoying life with his family while acknowledging he's received offers from clubs around the National Football League. While that doesn't mean he's not interested in returning to the NFL, he's also waiting for the right situation before contemplating a comeback. "It's a weird feeling, right? Just because I've done it so long and loved every step of the way," said Tannehill during an interview. "But my son's birthday is tomorrow. I'm just going to get to celebrate my son's birthday fully and not be in training camp, so I'm really excited for that. But yeah, it's a weird feeling. I'm staying in shape and staying ready if the right thing pops up and comes available. But also at the same time, really enjoying where I'm at and the time with the family." The veteran signal-caller has played for the Dolphins and Titans since entering the league in 2012. In 155 games, he's thrown for 34,881 yards, 216 touchdowns, and 115 interceptions, adding 2,103 yards and 27 scores off 440 carries. With that said, teams will need a quarterback at some point during the 2024-25 campaign, meaning fantasy managers should continue to monitor Tannehill's plans throughout the season. This is even more true for those participating in multi-quarterback formats.

Lamar Jackson Jul 27 1:20pm CT
    Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness) returned to practice on Saturday. He missed four days to begin training camp, and while details surrounding the nature of his illness were scarce, it's a great sign for fantasy managers. The 27-year-old had a great season in 2023-24, throwing for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven picks, adding 821 yards and five scores off 148 carries. He also completed a career-high 67.2% of his throws and was named the league's Most Valuable Player for the second time. Without question, Jackson has plenty of hype surrounding him entering the 2024-25 campaign. He has potent weapons on the offensive end, specifically former Titan Derrick Henry. As a result, fantasy managers should anticipate the signal-caller being one of the first fantasy quarterbacks grabbed in drafts.

Jordan Love Jul 27 1:13pm CT
    Jordan Love

Dynasty | The Packers have signed Jordan Love to a contract extension. Dynasty Analysis: Love signed a four-year, $220 million contract with a record $75 million signing bonus and $155 million guaranteed. His average annual salary matches Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow's as the highest in league history. The Packers had Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for the better part of the last 30 years and hope their streak of stability sticks with Love. He was a question mark for a long time but his debut as the starter couldn't have gone much better as he posted 4,159 passing yards with 32 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions. Love is locked in as a QB1 for the foreseeable future and an easy choice to build a dynasty team around.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Chris Godwin Jul 27 1:10pm CT
    Chris Godwin

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin already appears to be in midseason form, according to his teammate Mike Evans. "He's going to have a great year," said Evans. "He looks like he's in midseason form. He's making plays, going deep, looks like the 2019 Chris Godwin. He's always been an unbelievable player and leader for us, and I expect no different this year." The 2017 No. 84 overall pick had the best year of his career in 2019, amassing 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns off 86 catches. However, his trips to the end zone have declined since then despite getting more targets than ever. With that said, there are plans to use Godwin more in the slot, and his rapport with Baker Mayfield continues to improve. As a result, a comeback year for Godwin could easily be on the horizon, assuming he remains healthy.

David Njoku Jul 27 1:00pm CT
    David Njoku

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (undisclosed) was cleared to practice at training camp for the first time on Saturday. The Browns held Njoku out of the first two days of camp as a precaution due to a minor undisclosed injury. Njoku will be fully ready for the start of the 2024 regular season after coming on strong in the second half of last year, ironically after quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) had season-ending surgery. The 28-year-old former 29th overall pick in 2017 out of Miami was a first-time Pro Bowler and set career-highs in catches (81), targets (123), receiving yards (882) and touchdowns (six) in 16 regular-season starts. The big-bodied and burly tight end excels in yards after the catch and should remain one of the most-targeted pass-catchers in Cleveland's offense. Njoku is firmly on the TE1 radar after his strong finish in 2023.

    From RotoBaller

Myles Garrett Jul 27 12:50pm CT
    Myles Garrett

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (hamstring), the league's reigning Defensive Player of the Year, continues his ramp-up process in training camp this summer. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said it's the lingering effects from the left-hamstring injury that Garrett sustained on the final day of minicamp in June. "Yeah, just going to ramp him up," Stefanski said prior to Friday's practice. "We'll continue to work off to the side with him for now. He'll be out there shortly." The head coach also said that Garrett should be back to a full participant in practice "shortly," so there should be nothing to worry about for fantasy managers in IDP leagues that are planning to take the All-Pro pass-rusher as a top-five option at the position.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Chubb Jul 27 12:40pm CT
    Nick Chubb

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (knee) was seen running sprints on one of the team's practice fields after training camp concluded on Friday. Chubb went through a handful of sprints and finished by carrying a ball through cones in a standard agility drill. The 28-year-old had two surgeries last year after tearing the ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee last September. Unsurprisingly, he was put on the Physically Unable to Perform list to start training camp, and depending on his progress in camp, Chubb could start the regular season on the PUP list, meaning he'd miss at least the first four games. It's unclear if Chubb was going full speed on his sprints on Friday, but he wasn't wearing a brace or wrap on his surgically repaired knee. And it's much too early to tell if he'll have a shot at being on the active roster in Week 1, which makes Chubb a highly volatile risk/reward RB3/flex in fantasy as he comes off a devastating and gruesome injury.

    From RotoBaller

Jerome Ford Jul 27 12:40pm CT
    Jerome Ford

Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford (personal) remained absent from training camp practice on Friday due to personal reasons. "He won't be here today, but he'll be here shortly. He's got some great news to share with you," head coach Kevin Stefanski said. It sounds like Ford has a new addition to the family. The fourth-year pro is projected to be a starter to open the 2024 regular season, as long as RB Nick Chubb (knee) is recovering from a gruesome torn ACL, MCL and meniscus last year. Chubb is a candidate to open the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list, which would keep him sidelined for at least the first four weeks. Ford's fantasy value as an RB3/flex will be fluid this summer as we track the progress of Chubb.

    From RotoBaller

Jayden Reed Jul 27 12:30pm CT
    Jayden Reed

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (toe) is taking his first team repetitions of training camp on Saturday, and it coincides with quarterback Jordan Love returning to practice for the first time this summer after signing a record contract extension on Friday. It didn't take long for the two to hook up in practice, with Love throwing an out-route to Reed out of the slot toward the right sideline. Reed started camp on the Non-Football Injury list but was activated earlier this week after suffering a minor toe injury earlier this summer. The 24-year-old former second-rounder last year proved his explosiveness right away in his first NFL season, scoring 10 total touchdowns while catching 64 passes for 793 yards in 16 regular-season games (13 starts). Reed is a special talent, but fantasy managers shouldn't reach for his TD production. With Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks all in the picture, Reed could be a TD-or-bust WR3/4 in fantasy.

    From RotoBaller

Jordan Love Jul 27 12:20pm CT
    Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that quarterback Jordan Love will be a full participant in the team's first padded practice at training camp. "He's been ramping up. It's just you guys haven't seen it. He's been throwing every day after practice, and he's had guys catching for him," LaFleur. Love has been with the team at training camp but had been sitting out practices before signing a four-year contract extension worth $220 million on Friday with $155 in full guarantees. The 25-year-old is now the highest-paid player in the NFL after impressing in his first full year in the league in 2023, when he threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 regular-season games. The big performance from Love has catapulted him to low-end QB1 status in fantasy for upcoming 2024 drafts.

    From RotoBaller

Deshaun Watson Jul 27 12:10pm CT
    Deshaun Watson

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) will be throwing in 11-on-11 team drills in training camp practice when the pads go on soon. Watson also took part in 11-on-11's this week without pads and is coming along nicely after having season-ending surgery on his right shoulder last year. He's on track to be 100% for the start of the 2024 regular season in Week 1. It's good news for a player that missed all of 2021 due to suspension and played in a combined 12 games the last two years for the Browns due to injuries. The 28-year-old signal-caller showed flashes of his high-end talent earlier in his career with the Houston Texans, but until he's able to stay healthy for a full year in Cleveland, fantasy managers should have him listed as a QB2 with upside.

Haason Reddick Jul 27 12:10pm CT
    Haason Reddick

Contract talks between defensive end Haason Reddick and the New York Jets have progressed positively this week, and as of earlier on Saturday, there's been hope that his presence and acclimation process with the team is approaching, according to sources. Reddick is currently holding out of training camp and also missed spring practices as he heads into his first year in New York. The situation has remained fluid over the duration of this process. The 29-year-old pass-rusher has recorded 50 sacks in the last four seasons and is expected to be a huge boost for the Jets' pass rush whenever he gets on the field. The first-rounder in 2017 by the Arizona Cardinals out of Temple, Reddick's fantasy stock in IDP leagues is dropping a bit since he's holding out, but he should at least be a bench option for pass-rushing depth in those formats.

    From RotoBaller

    D.J. Chark Jul 26 10:50pm CT
    D.J. Chark

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark has been operating with the first team's offense during training camp. The Los Angeles Chargers have 320 vacated targets heading into the 2024 season, and this receiver room is ripe for the taking. Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston are the primary returning wideouts for quarterback Justin Herbert, and while they have the most experience with the former sixth pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, Chark does have a chance to outplay them. Chark broke out in 2019 with 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns but has not matched any of those totals since then. He'll be on his fourth team in four years, which shows some insight into how the teams he's been a part of view him. However, Chark has enough athleticism and will be afforded the best quarterback play of his career this year with LA. He's an afterthought in drafts right now as the NFFC WR88 (272 overall) and has some nice sleeper upside going into a year with such a murky WR room around him.

    From RotoBaller

Matt Ammendola Jul 26 10:40pm CT
    Matt Ammendola

With the news that Detroit Lions kicker Michael Badgley (hamstring) had suffered a significant season-ending hamstring injury, the Lions worked out a horde of potential replacements. During the workout, Detroit tried out Matt Ammendola, Lucas Havrisic, Matthew McCrane, and Andre Szmyt. Badgley didn't start for Detroit until Week 15 of the 2023 season, but he was a reliable option for them from then on. He went 7-of-7 on field goal attempts from that point forward while also knocking in 23-of-25 extra-point attempts. It is unclear which direction they will go to fill their need. Still, this situation requires monitoring as they project to be one of the highest-scoring offenses in 2024, and whoever ends up kicking for them will be a valuable asset for fantasy managers.

    From RotoBaller

Chase Brown Jul 26 9:30pm CT
    Chase Brown

Since the beginning of the Cincinnati Bengals training camp, Chase Brown has taken the majority of reps as the starting running back with the first-team offense. If Brown is indeed the preferred option to lead Zac Taylor's offense, fantasy managers are not drafting him high enough. The former Illinois product is currently the RB37 (No. 113 in ADP), while his backfield mate Zack Moss is going 20 picks before him -- the RB31 -- as the presumed lead back in the Bengals offense. It is presently unclear if Brown has superseded Moss in Cincinnati's pecking order, but this will obviously be a situation to monitor as we encroach on Week 1. Before Joe Burrow fell victim to multiple hindering injuries last season, the Bengals ranked in the top ten each of the prior two seasons in team points per game. Regardless of who the lead back is going into 2024, this should be an offense that presents many scoring opportunities.

Tua Tagovailoa Jul 26 9:13pm CT
    Tua Tagovailoa

Dynasty | The Dolphins have signed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to an extension. Dynasty Analysis: It's a four-year, $212.4 million extension, with a whopping $167 million in guaranteed money. It also makes him the highest paid player in Dolphins history and the third highest paid quarterback in the league in terms of annual salary. While he's had some struggles here and there and injuries are a serious concern (his concussion history is especially worrisome), Tagovailoa has performed admirably during his tenure. He'll remain to be a low-end QB1 in dynasty leagues but one that doesn't come with some risk until we see him make it through consecutive seasons healthy.
