New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry is back on the fantasy radar after a promising showing last Sunday. Now, in Week 7, Henry faces off against a Jaguars defense that has allowed the most touchdowns and the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. Just last Sunday, they allowed Cole Kmet to break out for one of the best games of his career (five catches, 70 yards, and two touchdowns). As for Henry, he's coming off his second-best game of the season; he caught three passes for 41 yards and also found the end zone for the first time since Week 15 of last year. The Patriots' decision to switch from Jacoby Brissett to Drake Maye seems to have paid off for the whole offense, including Henry. He's a high-end TE2 who could certainly sneak into the TE1 tier with a touchdown this week. Managers can absolutely justify streaming him in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is set to practice ahead of Week 8 and could make his return as the team's starter next Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. This is the fastest possible return for Tagovailoa, whose placement on injured reserve required him to stay on the sideline for four games before he could return to practice or game action. This Sunday's Dolphins-Colts clash is the fourth game he'll miss, and it sounds like he'll get back on the field as soon as he's eligible next week. We previously heard that Tagovailoa is symptom-free and has no intentions of retiring at the moment. Once he does return to the field, he'll rank as a fringe top-12 fantasy quarterback. Perhaps more importantly, he'll boost the fantasy values of Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De'Von Achane, among others.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London caught six passes in Week 6, the fifth consecutive week he's done so, now with the third-most receptions (38) in the NFL, eighth-most reception yards (428), and tied for second-most reception touchdowns (4). For the second time this season, the 23-year-old garnered three high-value red zone looks in Week 6, with 10 red zone targets in all which is third-most among WRs. Combined with a 27.6% target share and 35.2% of his team's air yards share, he's got a solid floor for fantasy. Week 7 brings a matchup with a beat-up Seattle defense that will be without their top two corners, Tre Brown and Riq Woolen. This game features one of the highest projected totals on the board and has shootout potential, so London sets up well to have a big day. The six-foot-four wideout is a WR1 for fantasy this week with the potential for a top-five finish at the position.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk is not a dependable fantasy option for Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. On one hand, you would expect Polk, who played 100 percent of snaps just two weeks ago, to thrive against a Jaguars defense allowing the third-most receptions, second-most receiving yards, fifth-most touchdowns, and second-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this year. However, we've seen him take a slight step backward lately as he caught just one pass on a 65 percent snap share in Drake Maye's first career start last week. The rookie receiver was also called out by head coach Jerod Mayo, who said Polk needed "to get over this mental hump" and "eliminate the dropped passes." If the head coach can't trust Polk to stay mentally strong and catch passes that hit his hands, he'll likely play fewer snaps and have a smaller role within the offense, at least for the time being. Despite Sunday's favorable matchup, Polk's limited production this season and these concerning comments from Mayo leave him as a fringe top-50 fantasy receiver who can be benched in most leagues.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin (hip) will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 7. Conklin was limited by a hip injury in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but he practiced fully on Friday while ultimately getting a questionable tag heading into the weekend. Conklin, if he plays, draws a plus matchup against a Steelers defense that is allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to tight ends in 2024. Conklin is on the map as a TE2/streaming option in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is coming off the best game of his young career and could have some low-end fantasy appeal heading into Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last Sunday, Boutte played a career-high 83 percent of snaps, registering three catches for 59 yards and his first career touchdown. Interestingly, Boutte led all Patriots receivers in snaps last week, so even his mere ability to get on the field bodes well for his fantasy upside. Assuming Boutte remains in a large role and plays at least 75 percent of the snaps this week, he's a solid fantasy option thanks to his big-play upside against a very porous Jaguars secondary. Jacksonville has surrendered the third-most receptions, second-most receiving yards, fifth-most touchdowns, and second-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this year. Based on rankings alone, Boutte is still a fringe top-50 wide receiver. However, when you consider his upside or ceiling, managers can justify inserting the second-year pass-catcher into their lineups as a WR3 or FLEX play.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein has struggled in 2024, making just eight of his 12 field-goal attempts including missing two of four in a close three-point loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. The Jets tried out kickers at practice earlier in the week but ultimately decided to stick with Zuerlein for at least another game as they prepare to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 7. The Steelers have been tough on fantasy kickers this season, allowing just the 29th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Zuerlein settles in as a mid-range fantasy kicker in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy remains on the fantasy radar for Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. He has been a low-floor, high-upside player throughout the first portion of his rookie season, and that will remain true going forward even with top receiver Rashee Rice (knee) out. In his two games with Rice either inactive or exiting early, Worthy is still averaging a modest five targets, three catches, 49 receiving yards, and 0.5 touchdowns. Those numbers are respectable for a WR3/FLEX option, which is exactly where worthy falls heading into Sunday's clash with the Niners. San Francisco ranks near the middle of the pack in terms of defending receivers; they've allowed the 16th-most fantasy points, the 21st-most catches, and the 11th-most receiving yards to the position this season. Managers should feel comfortable starting Worthy as long as they know that he could underwhelm if Patrick Mahomes focuses more on Travis Kelce or JuJu Smith-Schuster.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas has emerged as a fantasy-relevant weapon within his team's offense, and he remains on the fantasy radar as a strong WR3 play for Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Douglas has consistently showcased his ability to handle heavy volume and produce short-yardage catches, both as a rookie last year and throughout the start of this season. He's also been able to thrive regardless of which quarterback is under center, posting big games while catching passes from Mac Jones, Jacoby Brissett, and Drake Maye, among others. Douglas has at least six catches and nine targets in three of his last four games. Last week, in Maye's first career start, he connected with the young receiver for six completions, 92 yards (a career-high for Douglas), and one touchdown (the first of Douglas' career). The two seem to have formed a strong rapport already, and that should continue heading into a favorable matchup against the Jaguars this Sunday. Jacksonville has surrendered the third-most receptions, second-most receiving yards, fifth-most touchdowns, and second-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this year. Douglas is a very solid WR3 play with even higher upside.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets running back Braelon Allen saw just three touches in a Week 6 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He will look to bounce back against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 7's Sunday night game. That might be tough for the rookie, however, as the Jets' changes at head coach and offensive coordinator heading into last week's game may have led to Breece Hall seeing 23 touches to Allen's three after the two had split touches much more evenly in the preceding games. Allen should still be rostered as a premium fantasy handcuff but he should not be in starting lineups in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson is a candidate to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7 with Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) expected to be a game-time decision. Even if Gibson does start, though, he doesn't need to be inserted into every fantasy lineup. In fact, the 26-year-old has actually been more productive with Stevenson on the field this season. As the backup from Weeks 2 through 4, Gibson averaged 10 touches and 73 scrimmage yards per game. Over the last two weeks, as the Patriots' starting running back, he has averaged 12 touches and 50 scrimmage yards per game. Still, we can't ignore the opportunity presented to Gibson if Stevenson is inactive, especially with such a favorable matchup on tap. The Patriots face the Jaguars, who have allowed the second-most receptions, second-most receiving yards, third-most receiving touchdowns, and seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. If Gibson does draw the start, he'll rank as a mid-to-low RB3/FLEX play in fantasy football.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 7's Sunday night game. Wilson is coming off an extremely productive two-game stretch in which he has caught 21 of his 33 targets for 208 yards and two touchdowns. That being said, he faces increased competition for targets after the Jets added Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders earlier in the week. Adams, of course, was a longtime favorite target of Aaron Rodgers when the two played together with the Green Bay Packers. Wilson downgrades to more of a WR2 in fantasy moving forward as he will not be seeing the type of target volume he did in Weeks 5 and 6. The Steelers have also been tough on fantasy wideouts in 2024, allowing the 23rd-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. Wilson should still be started in all leagues but fantasy managers should temper expectations.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon (ankle) has been removed from the injury report and is cleared to play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The veteran running back returned from a three-game absence last weekend, so while his appearance on this week's injury report was noteworthy, managers were never overly concerned about his status. Mixon has been special in his two healthy games this season, averaging 130.5 rushing yards, 24.5 receiving yards, and 1.5 touchdowns per contest. Those games were against the Colts and Patriots, which are two easier matchups, and he does face a tougher opponent this week against Green Bay. Still, Mixon has the talent to be a matchup-proof running back in fantasy football. He ranks as a low-end RB1 once again.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 7's Sunday night game. Lazard has caught five touchdowns in six games this season but he is one of the biggest downgrades in fantasy after the Jets traded for Davante Adams earlier in the week. Adams should step in and instantly steal targets from Lazard, leaving the latter as a low-end flex option in fantasy heading into Week 7.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) is coming off one of his best games of the season as he threw for a season-high 294 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. He will look to keep it going on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7's Sunday night game. The Steelers have been tough on opposing quarterbacks this season, allowing the 28th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Rodgers is still dealing with a nagging ankle injury which held him out of practice on Wednesday but he is listed without an injury designation heading into Sunday. The Jets' early-week acquisition of Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders should provide a boost for Rodgers but he still sets up as a low-end QB2 heading into a difficult Week 7 matchup.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets running back Breece Hall turned in one of his most productive games of the season in a Week 6 loss to the Buffalo Bills, racking up 169 all-purpose yards. The coaching change at offensive coordinator ahead of Week 6 was beneficial to Hall as the Jets went away from rookie Braelon Allen, giving Hall 23 touches to Allen's three. Hall will look to stay hot against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 7's Sunday night game. The Steelers have been tough on running backs this season, allowing just the 25th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Hall's recent usage surge plus his production in the passing game keeps him in RB1 territory in Week 7 despite the difficult matchup.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (ankle) is expected to serve as his team's primary target following the trade of Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills earlier in the week. The veteran tight end will look to break out in a home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. The Bengals have struggled against tight ends this season, allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Njoku has been dealing with an ankle injury for the majority of the season but he practiced fully all week and does not have an injury designation heading into the weekend. Treat Njoku as a low-end TE1 in fantasy in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins has made 10 of his 12 field-goal attempts and all but one of his extra points during the 2024 season. He will look to keep it going at home against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. The Bengals have been a tough matchup for kickers this season as they are allowing the 21st-most fantasy points per game to the position through six games. Hopkins has shown a big leg in his time with the Browns but the team's offense is one of the worst in the league, which makes the veteran kicker tough to trust in fantasy.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) will get a chance to slide over to the WR1 chair after the team traded Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills earlier in the week. As has been the procedure for much of the season, Jeudy practiced fully all week despite being listed on the injury report with a knee injury. Listed without an injury status on the Browns' final injury report, Jeudy will face off against the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Week 7. The Bengals have been solid against wide receivers this season, allowing just the 21st-most fantasy points per game to the position through their first six games. Jeudy gets a slight bump in fantasy value moving forward but a dysfunctional Cleveland passing attack doesn't inspire much confidence. Treat him as a low-end WR3 in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker has an easier matchup in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams, so he has a solid chance of bouncing back after getting blanked in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He should have expanded opportunity for targets with star WR Davante Adams leaving for the Jets and Jakobi Meyers (ankle) being unlikely to play with a "doubtful" designation. The second-year pro is a speedster with intriguing upside as a deep threat and on gadget plays. The rams are middle-of-the-pack in PPR fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. The lack of other WRs to draw coverage away from Tucker could hurt his production, though. He's a decent FLEX option in deep leagues.
