Tyler Allgeier Oct 26 11:20am CT
    Tyler Allgeier

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier tallied just six touches in Week 7 compared to Bijan Robinson's 24, returning to his clear backup role after leading the backfield in touches the week before. Despite averaging 5.7 yards per rush, which is top five among qualified running backs and better than Robinson's 4.7 YPR, Allgeier does not get many opportunities unless the game script warrants it. Week 8 has Atlanta as only slight favorites, so the BYU product will likely play second fiddle again unless the Falcons get up big. Should that happen, the Bucs have been generous, allowing 5.3 yards per rush which is third-worst in the NFL. With Tampa Bay missing their top two receiving options, they may lack the firepower to keep up with Atlanta this time around, so there is potential Allgeier sees more volume than last week. Regardless, as backup to Robinson, the 24-year-old is hard to trust as anything more than a low-end RB3/Flex in Week 8.

Bub Means Oct 26 11:00am CT
    Bub Means

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Bub Means had three catches for 37 yards on five targets in Week 7's loss to the Denver Broncos. The rookie has seen an uptick in work over the last two weeks in the wake of a rash of injuries that hit the Saints' skill players, namely Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee). Olave looks ready to return in Week 8 but with Shaheed out for the season, it is possible that Means maintains a regular presence on the offense. Since Spencer Rattler took over under center for Derek Carr (oblique), Means has drawn the second-most targets on the team and has eight receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown to show for it. Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers does not invite hope for a big day but it is possible that Means and Rattler build on the chemistry they have shown over the last two weeks while LA's defense focuses on the larger threats of Olave, Alvin Kamara (hand, ribs), and Taysom Hill (ribs). Means is not worthy of starting in most leagues but in deeper PPR leagues he deserves consideration for Week 8.

Anthony Richardson Oct 26 10:50am CT
    Anthony Richardson

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed less than 50% of his passes again in his return to the starting role last week, completing 10 of 24 passes for a miserly 129 yards and no touchdowns. On the bright side, he did not throw an interception and contributed 56 yards on the ground on 14 carries, but he did not find the end zone there either. In the four full games Richardson has played, the 22-year-old has a 47.4% completion rate and is averaging a meager 178 yards passing per game along with a 3:6 TD:INT. Despite these uninspiring numbers, the second-year pro will face the Texans in Week 8, a team allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far this season and one who Richardson tallied three touchdowns (two pass, one rush) against back in Week 1. Still, the former first-round draft pick is a low-end QB2 this week and there are probably higher-floor streaming options for those in need.

Cam Little Oct 26 10:40am CT
    Cam Little

Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little should not be started by most fantasy managers in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. The Jaguars offense has been better of late, but the Packers defense should be able to hold them in check. On top of that, the Packers have been one of the best defenses in fantasy points allowed to kickers. Also, Little has not shown upside in general as the Jacksonville offense has held him back for most of the season. Little has only hit double-digit fantasy points two out of seven weeks, which was Week 4 and Week 5 against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars only scored more than 20 points against the Colts, so it is hard to imagine lots of field goal opportunities for Little this week. He is not worth the risk against the Packers in Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Malik Willis Oct 26 10:30am CT
    Malik Willis

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense/special teams unit should not be considered at all by fantasy managers in a rough Week 8 matchup. Along with being one of the worst defenses in football this season, they face off with the Green Bay Packers high-powered offense, led by quarterback Jordan Love, Jayden Reed, and Josh Jacobs. The Packers aren't the worst possible matchup from a fantasy perspective, but the combination of a great passing offense going up against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL means a very high chance of negative fantasy points. In fact, the matchup looks better on paper than it actually is, because Malik Willis started at quarterback for two weeks while Love was injured. Almost any other unit is better to start than the Jaguars D/ST in Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Kyle Pitts Oct 26 10:30am CT
    Kyle Pitts

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts garnered eight or more targets and seven catches for the second time in three games last week as he's become more involved in the Atlanta passing attack after a zero-catch performance in Week 4. Some of that can be attributed to the opposing team's deficiency in covering TEs, and in Week 8 Pitts will face a team that has already proven itself deficient in defending the pass, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They've allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game in the NFL and 10th-most fantasy points to TEs, including two touchdowns to the Ravens' Mark Andrews just last week. Pitts hauled in seven passes for 88 yards against the Bucs in Week 5, and this time around they are down starter Tykee Smith which could give Pitts and Ray-Ray McCloud III a boost in opportunities. Even with other TEs starting to pull their weight and despite some volatility concerns, Pitts sets up as a back-end TE1 in Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Gabriel Davis Oct 26 9:50am CT
    Gabriel Davis

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis is a boom-or-bust fantasy option as usual in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. Top rookie teammate Brian Thomas Jr. may be shadowed by Jaire Alexander, leaving Davis extra room to operate and potentially take advantage of Green Bay's other corners. However, Davis is hard to trust in fantasy. He put up two touchdowns against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago in an even tougher matchup, but only put up a single catch for 13 yards last week against the New England Patriots, a much easier matchup than the Bears and Packers. Throughout his career, the former Buffalo Bill has been impossible to trust, and that shouldn't change this week. Davis should be viewed as a WR4 for most fantasy managers, but for those that are desperate, he can be considered a touchdown-dependent flex.

    From RotoBaller

Christian Kirk Oct 26 9:50am CT
    Christian Kirk

Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Christian Kirk has limited upside in a tough matchup with the Green Bay Packers. After a rough two-week start to the season, Kirk seemed like he was turning things around with a solid three weeks. However, since tight end Evan Engram returned from injury in Week 6, Kirk has just a combined four catches and 64 yards in the last two games. It is hard to expect more than that out of the veteran receiver against the stout Packers secondary. Kirk could take advantage of teammate Brian Thomas Jr. being shadowed by Jaire Alexander, but it is more likely Evan Engram will benefit the most out of the other receiving options. Until he shows he can coexist with Engram from a fantasy perspective, Kirk should be viewed as a low-upside flex option in Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Darnell Mooney Oct 26 9:30am CT
    Darnell Mooney

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney garnered eight targets last week, the fifth time in seven games that he's totaled six or more looks in a contest. With a 22.84% target share and 31.77% of the team's total air yards, the 26-year-old has a solid role in this offense, giving him a decent weekly floor in fantasy leagues, particularly in PPR. The Falcons will take on the Buccaneers in Week 8, a team that Kirk Cousins roasted for 508 yards through the air back in Week 5, with Mooney having his best performance of the season (9-105-2). While another 16 targets for Mooney likely isn't in the offing, the fifth-year pro will be involved plenty, especially with all the attention Drake London will command. The Bucs have allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game and in Week 7 they allowed five passing TDs to the Ravens. The product out of Tulane projects as a high-end WR3 this week with WR2 upside in this enticing matchup.

    From RotoBaller

Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 26 9:30am CT
    Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. is too talented to consider benching despite a tough matchup with the Green Bay Packers. The rookie receiver may be shadowed by Jaire Alexander in Week 8, but his ability to rattle off a long touchdown at any moment is too tantalizing for fantasy managers to pass up. BTJ has surpassed 80 yards receiving in four of seven games, has four touchdowns, and has been Trevor Lawrence's most reliable target this season. He ranks as the WR6 for total points and the WR11 in fantasy points per game in half-PPR. While the tough matchup may mean BTJ should be downgraded slightly, he still should be viewed as a high-end WR2, low-end WR1 in Week 8 with a high ceiling given his big-play ability.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Downs Oct 26 9:00am CT
    Josh Downs

After missing practice Wednesday, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (toe) practiced in full Thursday and Friday, carrying no injury designation heading into the weekend. Still, with Anthony Richardson at quarterback, the team's pass catchers have limited upside as Richardson has a 47.4% completion rate and is averaging a meager 178 yards passing per game in the four full games he's played. In the two games Downs has played with Richardson under center, the 23-year-old has just four catches on eight targets, totaling a paltry 25 yards receiving. Regardless of QB, Downs is reliant on his yards after catch (YAC) ability, as the third-round pick has a low 5.24 aDOT, gaining 109 YAC (45.0% of 242 total). In Week 8, the Colts face the Texans who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, but Indy already took them on in Week 1 with Richardson completing just nine of 19 passes in the contest. Thus, Downs figures to be a WR5 this week or low-end Flex play.

    From RotoBaller

Evan Engram Oct 26 9:00am CT
    Evan Engram

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram is a top tight end option in a Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. The veteran tight end has been efficient since returning from injury two weeks ago, catching all 15 of his targets. After a 10-catch, 102-yard performance against the Chicago Bears, Engram came back down to Earth a bit with a five-catch, 35-yard performance against the New England Patriots. Given the volatility of the position and Engram's expectations entering the season, he should be started without hesitation this week. The Packers have been good against the pass this season but have been better against wide receivers than tight ends, meaning Engram could be in for an outing closer to his Week 6 performance than last week's performance. Engram should be viewed as a clear TE1 who should be Trevor Lawrence's go-to receiver this week.

    From RotoBaller

Tank Bigsby Oct 26 8:50am CT
    Tank Bigsby

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby may have the opportunity to dominate touches again in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers defense has been great against the pass, but somewhat weak against the run, meaning as long as Travis Etienne Jr. (a game-time decision with a hamstring injury) misses out again, Bigsby has a chance for a big day. Even if Etienne Jr. does return this week, Bigsby is a playable option in fantasy lineups given his ability to produce even with limited touches. Bigsby has put up 90 yards or more in three of his last four games, with last week being his first game with over a 50 percent snap share. Given his big-play ability and decent matchup, Bigsby should be viewed as an RB2 with RB1 upside with no Etienne Jr., otherwise, he should be viewed as a high-upside flex option.

    From RotoBaller

Foyesade Oluokun Oct 26 8:40am CT
    Foyesade Oluokun

Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Foyesade Oluokun (foot) was limited in practice all week long and is officially questionable to play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Oluokun is still on injured reserve, so he'd need to be activated by 4 p.m. Saturday in order to be eligible for this weekend's clash with Green Bay. The 29-year-old registered 22 tackles and one sack through three games earlier this season.

    From RotoBaller

Dalvin Cook Oct 26 8:40am CT
    Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys running back Dalvin Cook is "ready" and "in position" to play, head coach Mike McCarthy told the media. Executive vice president Stephen Jones also noted that coaches "have been talking to us about how it's about time for him to get his opportunity" as Cook continues to impress in his role on the practice squad. The 29-year-old would offer valuable competition to a backfield struggling to get its legs in the first half of the season. While Cook might never supplant Rico Dowdle as Dallas' No. 1 running back, he could certainly earn meaningful touches starting this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

    From RotoBaller

Trevor Lawrence Oct 26 8:40am CT
    Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has looked better of late but might struggle against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Lawrence has averaged just under 15 fantasy points per game this season, which should be his expected output against Jaire Alexander and the stout Packers secondary. Evan Engram, Brian Thomas Jr., and Christian Kirk have all been serviceable weapons for Lawrence and the Jaguars offense, but that hasn't translated to great fantasy success for the former top pick. While the Packers have been one of the top defenses against quarterbacks in fantasy, one reason fantasy managers can be optimistic is that the Chicago Bears have been even better against quarterbacks, who Lawrence put up a solid 17 fantasy points against in Week 6. In a tough Week 8 matchup, Lawrence should be considered a solid QB2 with limited upside.

    From RotoBaller

Haason Reddick Oct 26 8:30am CT
    Haason Reddick

New York Jets pass rusher Haason Reddick has officially signed his adjusted one-year contract and will make his team debut on Sunday against the New England Patriots, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason, Reddick refused to play a snap for the Jets without an adjusted deal in place. While this new one-year deal is presumably less desirable than a multi-year extension, it gives Reddick an opportunity to cash in on his previous success while still having more than half a season to showcase himself before 2025 free agency. Assuming Reddick hasn't lost a step during his holdout, he should return just as dominant as ever. He registered 50.5 sacks and four forced fumbles from 2020 through 2023.

    From RotoBaller

Tommy Tremble Oct 26 8:30am CT
    Tommy Tremble

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble (back) upgraded to a full participant in practice on Friday. However, he is still listed as questionable to face the Denver Broncos in Week 8. The 24-year-old was Carolina's top tight end when healthy, but he only caught seven passes through parts of four games. Since his last appearance in Week 5, rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders has taken on a much bigger role offensively, registering 11 receptions and 110 yards over his two most recent games. The stats would suggest that Sanders starts at tight end in Week 8, even if Tremble is healthy enough to play.

    From RotoBaller

Jake Moody Oct 26 8:20am CT
    Jake Moody

San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody (right ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. This hardly comes as a surprise given that Moody missed all three practices this week and hasn't played since initially suffering the injury in Week 5. Injuries to Moody and Matthew Wright have led the 49ers to bring in Anders Carlson, who went 2-for-2 on field goals but missed his lone extra-point attempt last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs. Carlson is a fringe top-14 option at the kicker position in fantasy football this week.

    From RotoBaller

Kalif Raymond Oct 26 8:20am CT
    Kalif Raymond

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond is projected to have an increased role over the next two weeks as teammate Jameson Williams serves a suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy. Raymond had already started to see an uptick in production with Williams on the field, catching seven passes for 112 yards and one touchdown over his last two games. Still, he was only running roughly one-third of the offensive snaps over those two weeks, but that number should jump with Williams off the field. Raymond and Tim Patrick will presumably compete for the No. 2 receiver role behind Amon-Ra St. Brown until Williams is eligible to return. For the time being, Raymond is only startable in deep fantasy leagues.
