Joe Burrow Oct 25 8:10pm CT
    Joe Burrow

The Philadelphia Eagles defense will go on the road to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8. Since the bye, the Eagles have looked much more competent on defense. They have given up just 19 points total in the past two weeks and have tallied 13 sacks. This was against the Browns and Giants, so take the stats with a pinch of salt, but they are looking much better than they did to open the year. However, the defense still has just two total turnovers on the season and remains a low-ceiling option for fantasy, especially against a Joe Burrow-led Bengals passing attack. With no team on bye this week, it is easy to leave the Eagles' defense on the waiver wire in favor of a better option.

Drake Maye Oct 25 8:10pm CT
    Drake Maye

The New York Jets defense will head on the road to take on the New England Patriots in Week 8. The Patriots' offense has looked much better since turning to rookie quarterback Drake Maye two weeks ago but this is still a tough spot for a rookie signal-caller against a talented Jets defense. Treat New York's D/ST as a top-10 option heading into Week 8.

Ladd McConkey Oct 25 8:10pm CT
    Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) and tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) are both officially questionable for Sunday's home matchup against the New Orleans Saints. LA's pass-catchers both kicked off the week tagged with DNPs, though it took the former until Friday to log a limited session, while the latter did so twice this week. Tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) is also questionable for the contest, while wide receivers Quentin Johnston (ankle) and Derius Davis (hamstring) have both been deemed doubtful. It's been quite the whirlwind of injuries for the Chargers over the last few weeks. With a litany of athletes' statuses in question, tight ends Stone Smartt and Eric Tomlinson and wide receivers Joshua Palmer, Simi Fehoko, and Brenden Rice are the only Chargers pass-catchers not to carry a designation ahead of Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Quentin Johnston Oct 25 8:00pm CT
    Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (ankle) is listed as doubtful for the second consecutive game ahead of the team's Week 8 matchup. Johnston sustained an ankle injury during LA's 23-16 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 6. He then went on to log five straight DNPs before being upgraded to limited on Friday. Despite the improvement, there appears still to be a lack of confidence in his health. With fellow wideouts Derius Davis (hamstring) and Ladd McConkey (hip) deemed doubtful and questionable, respectively, the Chargers could be a bit short-staffed when they host the visiting New Orleans Saints this Sunday. Simi Fehoko, Joshua Palmer, and Brenden Rice are currently the only wide receivers not to carry a designation.

Jalen McMillan Oct 25 8:00pm CT
    Jalen McMillan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan is likely going to be asked to play a big role in the offense going forward. The Bucs lost both their top wideouts in Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) during last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. That being said, McMillan and Sterling Shepard are expected to be the top options in the passing game going forward. Last week, McMillan hauled in three of his eight targets for 15 yards in the loss. It wasn't a good game for McMillan, but the eight targets shows that the Bucs do have faith in the young wideout. The rookie receiver could end up sliding into the slot role which could be good for his fantasy value. He has a favorable matchup against the Atlanta Falcons defense in Week 8. Fantasy managers should consider McMillan as a low-end WR3 for this weekend.

    From RotoBaller

Sterling Shepard Oct 25 7:50pm CT
    Sterling Shepard

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Sterling Shepard will be asked to take on a bigger role during the Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs lost their top two wideouts in Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) during last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. They will now be forced to use the committee of Shepard, Jalen McMillan, and Trey Palmer. The expectation is that running back Rachaad White and tight end Cade Otton will be mixed in as well. It's unknown exactly what the Bucs plan to do without their top options available. That being said, Shepard can't be trusted as more than a low-end flex option. He hasn't done much this season outside of a 51-yard performance in Week 4. Sometimes an increased role doesn't always come along with increased value which could be the case here.

    From RotoBaller

Rachaad White Oct 25 7:40pm CT
    Rachaad White

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White continued his struggles on the ground, but was able to put together a strong fantasy performance last week. White rushed 10 times for 40 yards, but hauled in six receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Bucs are using a three-man committee which makes it difficult for any of these backs to have reliable fantasy value. However, White should be the best choice out of the trio due to his ability in the receiving game. The Bucs are going to be without wide receivers Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) for the foreseeable future. That means, White will probably see more chances in the receiving game going forward. Fantasy managers in PPR formats might be able to trust White as a RB1 for the upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. White rushed for a season-high 72 yards against Atlanta during their last meeting.

George Kittle Oct 25 7:40pm CT
    George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is officially questionable for the team's Week 8 home tilt against the Dallas Cowboys. Kittle was able to close out the week with two limited sessions after a DNP on Wednesday, suggesting he's more likely to play than not. It'd be excellent news for San Fran if the veteran could suit up, as wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (wrist, illness) has been deemed questionable, and teammate Jauan Jennings (hip) has been ruled out for the contest. If the Iowa product is active, he'd likely be in store for a large workload in a tantalizing matchup against the Cowboys. However, if he can't -- journeyman tight end Eric Saubert would slot in as the team's TE1. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status over the weekend.

    From RotoBaller

Sean Tucker Oct 25 7:40pm CT
    Sean Tucker

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker was quiet during last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Tucker exploded for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6, but was held in check to 29 yards on five carries in the loss. The Bucs are using a three-man committee in the backfield, which is going to make this a messy situation. Tucker appears to be on the bottom of that committee after his dud last week. However, Bucky Irving (toe) is questionable for Week 8, so Tucker might be asked to step into the RB2 role this weekend. If that happens, Tucker could have some flex appeal otherwise fantasy managers can keep him on the bench for their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

    From RotoBaller

Jauan Jennings Oct 25 7:40pm CT
    Jauan Jennings

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (hip) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. It's unfortunate news for the 49ers and Jennings, but little surprise as he's yet to practice since picking up a hip ailment two weeks prior. This will be his second consecutive game missed. With fellow WR Deebo Samuel Sr. (wrist, illness) and tight end George Kittle (foot) questionable for the outing, San Fran could be looking at a heavily depleted corps of pass-catchers when they line up against Dallas. In his absence, some amalgamation of wideouts Ricky Pearsall, Jacob Cowing, Chris Conley, and Ronnie Bell figure to fill in. Particularly if Samuel Sr. can't suit up.

    From RotoBaller

Baker Mayfield Oct 25 7:30pm CT
    Baker Mayfield

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield has been an early season MVP candidate with his performance on the field. Last week, Mayfield completed 31-of-45 passing attempts for 370 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Bucs have taken a huge hit to their offense with both Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) sidelined for the foreseeable future. It could be tough for the Bucs offense to continue succeeding like they were with Sterling Shepard and Jalen McMillan as their top wideouts. The expectation is that running back Rachaad White and tight end Cade Otton see more involvement in the passing game. However, there's a good chance that Mayfield struggles to put up the same type of fantasy value without his top two passing options. Mayfield should be considered a low-end QB1 for the Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

    From RotoBaller

Greg Zuerlein Oct 25 7:30pm CT
    Greg Zuerlein

New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein will kick against the New England Patriots on the road in Week 8. Zuerlein has struggled with his accuracy in 2024, missing five of his 13 attempts thus far. He will look to turn things around against a Patriots defense that is allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to kickers this year. Zuerlein has been too erratic to trust as a starting option in fantasy heading into Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Deebo Samuel Oct 25 7:30pm CT
    Deebo Samuel

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (wrist, illness) has garnered a questionable designation for Sunday's home tilt against the Dallas Cowboys. The 28-year-old has been dealing with a wrist issue for a few weeks, and he entered the team's Week 7 outing without a designation. However, a late-week bout with pneumonia knocked him from the contest after just four snaps. He'd ultimately be hospitalized with fluid in his lungs earlier this week, but it appears he's improved enough to be labeled as questionable. Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted they've taken it slowly with the veteran wideout, but his stamina has improved daily. San Francisco could undoubtedly use their star wideout with teammate Jauan Jennings (hip) ruled out and Brandon Aiyuk's (knee) loss for the rest of the season. If Samuel Sr. can't suit up rookie WRs Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing and second-year receiver Ronnie Bell should see the majority of snaps for the 49ers.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Lockett Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    Tyler Lockett

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett is in a great position to succeed in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. With top wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) doubtful in this game, Lockett projects to see serious volume alongside fellow wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Lockett has been a steady contributor in 2024. He has been able to deliver consistent flex value with solid volume given how much the Seahawks are throwing the ball. He has a chance to turn back the clock in Week 8 with Metcalf likely out. Geno Smith trusts Lockett and should throw to him over and over in Week 8. Lockett should push for double-digit targets, and he has a good chance of finding the end zone. If you have injuries at the wide receiver position this week, then Lockett is your guy.

    From RotoBaller

    A.J. Brown Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    A.J. Brown

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals in Week 8. The 27-year-old made his return to the field last week after being out since the regular season opener with a hamstring injury. The Eagles only needed to pass 14 times to beat the New York Giants, but Brown still took five targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Now, the Eagles face a Bengals offense that struggles to stop the pass. The Bengals have allowed the 11th-most passing yards this season and have the firepower on offense to make the Eagles stay in a passing game script. No fantasy manager is sitting Brown, but this is a week where he could realistically finish as the WR1 overall in a juicy matchup where he will be needed in order to get the Eagles a win.

    From RotoBaller

    D.K. Metcalf Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith has been a solid quarterback streaming option in 2024. He should deliver solid value again in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills, but you should temper expectations with DK Metcalf (knee) unlikely to play in this game. The Bills are also an absolute run-funnel. Teams have been able to run on them with ease which suggests this could be a big Kenneth Walker III (illness) day. Even so, they are relatively unproven as a pass defense. They have not faced a passing attack as voluminous and high-powered as the Seahawks in 2024. Still, any quarterback without a stud such as Metcalf in the lineup would experience a downgrade against most opponents. Smith is still a quality option this week but consider making other arrangements if your roster can handle it.

    From RotoBaller

    D.K. Metcalf Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant has come alive in recent weeks. Fant has ten receptions in his last two games combined and he has at least 63 receiving yards in both games. He has a chance to deliver numbers like that once again in Week 8 when the Seahawks host the Buffalo Bills. The Seahawks are likely going to hand the ball off quite a bit given the Bills' poor rushing defense. However, the Bills offense is potent and should force the Seahawks to air it out at least a fair amount. Top Seahawks target DK Metcalf (knee) does not look like he will play in this game. The Seahawks are very top-heavy in the wide receiver room and Fant would likely be the next man up in line for targets. He should be a safe play this week, especially in the tight end landscape we currently find ourselves in.

    From RotoBaller

DeVonta Smith Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    DeVonta Smith

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith will go on the road to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8. The former Heisman winner finished with just one reception for a loss of two yards in last week's blowout win over the rival New York Giants, marking the first time this season he had finished outside the top 30 wide receivers. Before the team's Week 5 bye, Smith had averaged nine targets per game and seven receptions. He was used sparingly against the Browns in Week 6 before last week's game. This, however, is the perfect bounce-back spot against a Bengals defense that ranks middle of the pack against wide receivers but has given up the 11th-most passing yards in the league through seven weeks. A.J. Brown will get him, but Smith should be considered a strong WR2 despite last week's disappointing performance.

    From RotoBaller

Jake Bobo Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    Jake Bobo

With Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) trending towards missing this week's game against the Buffalo Bills, it appears as though wide receiver Jake Bobo will fill the No. 3 wide receiver role behind Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Bobo is a quality NFL player, but he does not project to receive the same amount of volume that Lockett and Smith-Njigba do in this offense. Instead, expect the Seahawks to rely on a heavy dose of running back Kenneth Walker III (illness) and spread the ball around to other players not named Lockett or Smith-Njigba. As such, Bobo should remain on waivers, especially since Metcalf's injury is not serious or long-term.

    From RotoBaller

Grant Calcaterra Oct 25 7:20pm CT
    Grant Calcaterra

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Grant Calcaterra will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals in Week 8. The 25-year-old filled in for Dallas Goedert (hamstring) last week and was a popular waiver wire option but ended the day with just one target which he took for a five-yard reception. However, the Eagles threw the ball just 14 times in the game where they leaned on Saquon Barkley and the run game to blow out the Giants. This week, that will likely not be the case. The Bengals' offense is going to test the Eagles' defense and likely make the Eagles throw at a much higher rate than last week. To top it all off, the Bengals allow the third-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. It may feel shaky, but the third-year tight end should be near the top of the streaming options list in Week 8.
