Per Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, the Las Vegas Raiders fear that quarterback Aidan O'Connell (knee) suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to Schultz, O'Connell will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. Ouch. It's another potentially massive blow to the Raiders' offense, as they've already lost one quarterback for the year (Gardner Minshew [collarbone]). Signal-caller Desmond Ridder took over for the 26-year-old upon his exit and figures to be the team's starter moving forward. In more unfortunate news for Las Vegas, the injuries on the offensive side of the ball continue to pile up. We'll likely get an update on AOC over the next 24 hours.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku caught seven of his 13 targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Njoku led the team with 13 targets while hauling in a 15-yard touchdown from Jameis Winston in the fourth quarter. The veteran tight end has been producing excellent fantasy numbers of late with three touchdowns and 30 targets over his past two contests. While he isn't doing much work down the field, Njoku's production at the tight end position has been a huge boost for fantasy managers. Njoku remains a must-start in fantasy heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins missed both of his field goals and added two extra points in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Hopkins missed attempts from 38 and 43 yards out while the game was still close as his season-long accuracy issues continued. The veteran kicker has now made 16 of his 25 attempts through 13 games. He will look to regroup heading into a home matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell rushed three times for 26 yards in Sunday's 22-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers. He also brought in both of his targets for seven yards receiving. The Panthers held tough with Philly all afternoon, with RB Saquon Barkley's production the only of note out of the Eagles' skill players. Still, Gainwell was efficient with his touches, averaging 8.7 yards per carry against a porous Carolina rush defense. The 25-year-old will struggle to put together impressive stat lines while playing behind arguably the league's best running back. However, he remains an elite, must-own handcuff on one of the league's better offenses and would have immediate value and upside if Barkley ever missed time. Gainwell and the Eagles host the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught five of his six targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Jeudy got the Browns off to a fast start in the contest, hauling in a 35-yard touchdown to give Cleveland a 7-3 lead in the first quarter. Cleveland's leading receiving in Week 14, Jeudy has been on fire of late with three touchdown catches over his past four contests. The veteran receiver is shaping up as a must-start with the fantasy playoffs approaching next week. He will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore caught three of his four targets for 34 yards in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Moore was quiet in the loss to the Steelers, finishing third on the team in receiving just one week after posting 111 receiving yards in a loss to the Denver Broncos. The veteran wideout has been a bit up-and-down of late but he's still worth keeping on fantasy rosters heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers running back Patrick Taylor Jr. saw his heaviest involvement of the season during a 38-13 Week 14 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Santa Clara. Taylor Jr. was, as predicted, an afterthought to rookie Issac Guerendo in the absence of Christian McCaffrey (knee) and Jordan Mason (ankle). The 26-year-old former Packer finished with seven carries for 25 yards, including a three-yard touchdown run to salt the game away after Guerendo (foot) exited late, not to return. Regardless of the touchdown, Taylor Jr. was mediocre on a per-carry basis, looking the part of a fourth-string running back. If Guerendo were to miss Week 15, Taylor Jr. would be a worthy waiver target mostly because of the premium role he'd step into, but shouldn't command near as much FAAB as Guerendo did last week, not least because he'd be far less likely to contribute as much as a receiver. That said, Taylor Jr. and the Niners get a vulnerable Rams rush defense at home in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston completed 24 of his 41 passes for 212 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions while rushing for 28 yards on four carries in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Winston got the Browns off to a hot start, finding Jerry Jeudy for a 35-yard touchdown to give his team an early 7-3 lead but he struggled to get much going after that as his second touchdown came with the game mostly over about halfway through the fourth quarter. Winston has now thrown for 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season. He will take on the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker brought in 2-of-5 targets for seven yards in his team's 28-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14. The second-year wideout's production came crashing back to Earth on Sunday after back-to-back viable fantasy performances. It was the eighth time in 13 outings that he's registered two or fewer receptions. The outlook of this offense becomes even more cloudy now as quarterback Aidan O'Connell (knee) was carted off in an air cast and replaced by Desmond Ridder. Tucker plays a high percentage of snaps and has a path to targets in this passing attack. However, the Raiders' offensive woes continue and make him an unreliable option. He'll square off against the visiting Atlanta Falcons next Monday night in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb carried the ball 11 times for 48 yards and failed to corral his lone target in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Chubb turned in another quiet game, although the 4.4 yards per carry go down as his second-best effort of the season. The veteran running back has scored four all-purpose touchdowns but has struggled to get much going on the ground across his seven contests this season. Settling in as a boom/bust RB3 as the fantasy playoffs approach, Chubb will take on the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford carried the ball 10 times for 28 yards and caught three of his four targets for 19 yards in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Ford played a secondary role behind starter Nick Chubb in the contest, seeing one fewer carry in the loss but outproducing Chubb in the air as the latter did not record a catch. The veteran tailback has gotten more involved behind Chubb over the past two weeks, handling 19 total touches over that span. Ford is worth a roster spot as a potential handcuff to Chubb with the fantasy playoffs approaching.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (shoulder) completed 19 of 32 passes for 168 yards with zero touchdowns or interceptions in a 10-6 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday. After showing much promise over the past few weeks against some tough defenses, Levis reverted back to early season-form in this one. Tennessee struggled to move the ball against one of the worst defenses in the NFL and came up short on two fourth-quarter drives to win the game. It was a horrific performance by Levis, and this Titans offense managed only 5.3 yards per attempt. It's worth noting that Levis was hit hard at the end of the first half, potentially aggravating his AC joint sprain. The same injury kept Levis out for multiple weeks earlier in the year. That could have affected his performance in the second half and may impact his status against the Bengals for next week. Even if he is good to go, Levis is back to his lower-end QB2 ways after this performance.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard rushed 21 times for 102 yards while adding two receptions on as many targets for 22 yards in the 10-6 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday. While it was an abysmal performance from the Titans offense who only mustered six points against the NFL's worst defense, Pollard was the lone bright spot on the day. The former Cowboy posted his third 100-plus yard rushing game of the season and averaged a healthy 4.9 YPC, tied for his fourth-highest mark of the year. Pollard also dominated the touches once again, receiving 23 opportunities in comparison to his backfield mate Tyjae Spears' eight. With the fantasy playoffs starting next week vs. Cincinnati, Pollard checks in as a high-floor RB2 but with limited upside due to the volatility of this Titans offense.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright carried the ball two times for seven yards and added two receptions on three targets for six yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime victory over the New York Jets. With Raheem Mostert (hip) ruled out, Wright was the backup behind starter De'Von Achane. However, his role is still inconsistent, as Miami's backup touches fluctuate weekly. The rookie will likely continue to struggle to see playing time for the rest of the year as long as Achane commands the backfield. Unless you have Achane on your roster, Wright should be on most league's waiver wire at this point of the season. His next opportunity will be a road matchup with the Houston Texans, who have been good against the run in 2024.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer brought in 7-of-9 targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The second-year TE easily set all-new season highs with his performance on Sunday, while his reception total and yardage output were good enough to lead the Raiders' offense in the defeat. Mayer was second on the team in targets only to wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. It's intriguing usage for the 23-year-old, as he out-produced rookie sensation Brock Bowers for the first time this season. Additionally, it's hard to predict this kind of usage moving forward, particularly with it looking like quarterback Desmond Ridder taking over after Aidan O'Connell (knee) was carted off in an air cast. For now, fantasy managers would be better off taking a wait-and-see approach with Mayer. He'll get the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday but likely won't be on the fantasy radar.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders made 4-of-4 field goal attempts and missed his only extra-point try in Week 14's 32-26 victory in overtime over the New York Jets. The last of Sanders' field goals was from 52 yards to tie the game at 26 with seven seconds remaining. Sanders was perfect 2-for-2 (57, 52) in long field goal attempts from 50 yards out. However, his perfect kick streak ended at six games, but his field goal streak remains intact. He has been one of the best kickers in fantasy football during his streak and should continue to see plenty of opportunities down the stretch. Sanders and the Dolphins will travel to face the Houston Texans in Week 15.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy rebounded from a depressing road trip to lead the team to an impressive 38-13 home victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The former seventh-rounder completed 20-of-25 attempts for 325 yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers. He rushed five times for 11 yards. Both touchdowns came on crossing patterns in the red zone to wideout Jauan Jennings against a surprisingly ineffective Chicago zone coverage scheme. The patchwork left side of San Francisco's offensive line stepped up in Week 14, allowing just one sack of Purdy, a good sign moving forward if tackle Trent Williams (ankle) and guard Aaron Banks (concussion) were to miss more time. It's worth noting, Purdy left the game in pain momentarily after being roughed in the second half but re-entered quickly. More importantly, today's domination and connection with Jennings and George Kittle was fresh air for those relying on Purdy. His matchups for the fantasy playoffs aren't great, getting a mediocre Rams pass defense at home on Thursday night in Week 15 before facing two stingy pass defenses -- first in Miami, then at home against the Lions.
From RotoBaller
Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox only caught one pass on one target for five yards in a narrow loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 28-year-old was Buffalo's primary tight end with Dalton Kincaid (knee) sidelined. Knox and running back James Cook were the only Bills starters who did not benefit from a 42-point Buffalo bonanza. Knox hasn't been getting many looks despite Kincaid's extended three-game absence. Kincaid should be nearing a return. Knox should not be started next week against a rugged Detroit defense.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ameer Abdullah rushed once for one yard in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He caught one of two targets for a three-yard loss. After handling lead back duties in the Raiders' offense over the last few weeks, the veteran bottomed out in Week 14 -- playing clear second-fiddle to third-year back Sincere McCormick (15/78). Abdullah saw his workload tick down in Week 13, but it was all McCormick Sunday afternoon, as he was also more productive in the passing game. It's a blow to fantasy managers relying on the 31-year-old -- particularly through another six-team bye week. With his role now in question and one of, if not both, Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) due back shortly, Abdullah can likely be avoided for fantasy purposes.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) caught 10 of 14 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown in the 32-26 victory over the New York Jets. Hill also added six rushing yards on one attempt. The touchdown came on a crucial 4th and goal that tied the game at 23 after Jaylen Waddle converted the two-point attempt. This marks the first time since Week 1 that Hill has posted 100-plus receiving yards in a game. The touchdown is the fourth time he has found paydirt in the last five games. The 30-year-old is starting to have some of the performances that fantasy managers have hoped for when drafting him early in the first round back in August. With Miami needing wins in all their remaining games, Hill should continue to be heavily utilized down the stretch. Miami will travel in Week 15 to take on the Houston Texans.
