Kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn of the Houston Texans enters Week 13 against Jacksonville coming off one of the worst missed field goals of the year, an uncharacteristically pulled chip shot that would have tied the game in an eventual 32-27 defeat to Tennessee. The UCLA product is now 82% on field goal attempts this year, which is 21st among kickers but his volume still makes him the overall No. 1 fantasy kicker and a clear starter again. Nobody has attempted more field goals or made more from beyond 50-plus yards than Fairbairn, and the Jags have allowed more fantasy points to kickers than anyone. Contending fantasy managers still should keep an eye on waiver wire kickers, especially with Houston on a bye in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer played his biggest role in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will try to maintain that role in Week 13 when the Bolts face the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 12, Palmer set season highs in snap percentage (83%) and targets (eight). He was only able to turn that into three catches for 38 yards, but the higher usage was certainly encouraging. In Week 13, he will face a Falcons defense that has struggled against opposing wide receivers. With starting running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for the game, the Chargers may rely more on the passing game, giving Palmer a similar workload as last week. He has a low floor, but a moderately decent ceiling compared to others ranked in the WR4/5 neighborhood.
From RotoBaller
At this stage of the season, fantasy managers rostering Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz in a one-tight end format would be hard-pressed to trust him, even in a great matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Houston still clearly values the veteran tight end, who is playing 80% of its snaps, but his decline in receiving production has made him a depreciating fantasy asset. In PPR formats, the former Dallas Cowboy has zero top-10 finishes among tight ends, and now rookie tight end Cade Stover has begun steadily earning more receiving work as well. The Jags rank 27th against fantasy tight ends and 31st for yards after the catch allowed, but managers should view Schultz as a touchdown-dependent TE2.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Tutu Atwell will not be a recommended fantasy option when his team lines up against the New Orleans Saints. The 25-year-old is in store for a favorable matchup against a soft Saints defense. Still, he can't be relied upon in fantasy due to his lack of involvement in LA's offense. Since Week 8 -- when both teammates Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua returned to action -- Atwell has averaged a paltry 1.4 receptions and 18.2 yards on 2.2 targets per game. Even in an outstanding spot against a vulnerable defense, the Miami native can't be relied upon for fantasy purposes. He's RotoBaller's PPR WR89 in Week 13's rankings.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston had a horrendous game in Week 12, returning to the cinder block hands issues that plagued him his rookie season. He should still be involved in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons and may have a chance to redeem himself for the atrocious performance. Johnston does well against two-high secondaries, which the Falcons employ. Against outside receivers like Johnston, they have allowed the second-most yards per game and fantasy points since Week 7. There's a low floor but a rather high ceiling for "QJ" in this game, evening him out somewhere in the WR3/4 range for the week.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford will line up for an excellent matchup on the road this weekend against the New Orleans Saints. The Georgia product has had the Rams' offense humming in recent weeks, tossing for 1,408 yards and a 12:3 TD:INT ratio over his last five appearances. That output (281.6 yards, 2.4 TDs per game) over an entire season would put him on pace for 4,787 yards and 40 passing touchdowns. Stafford will get another exploitable test this Sunday in a Saints defense, letting up the third-most passing yards per game in the NFL (256.6) through 12 weeks. New Orleans has given up just ten scores through the air, but allowing 6.8 yards per attempt puts them at the fourth-highest mark in the league. The 36-year-old is RotoBaller's QB16 for this week's slate of action.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin has been one of the more consistent kicking options this season. Last week, McLaughlin knocked down his only field goal attempt and made three-of-four extra point kicks in the win over the New York Giants. The Bucs offense has been finding the end zone so frequently that McLaughlin hasn't needed to kick many field goals lately. In fact, McLaughlin has only five field goal attempts over his last four games. The Bucs offense should continue rolling against the Carolina Panthers in Week 13. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect a huge game from McLaughlin, but he should be able to produce enough value worth streaming him this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey should have another good game in a Week 13 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. McConkey has been a top-20 fantasy wide receiver in four of his last eight games and is the overall WR31 this season. He's been putting up solid catch and yard numbers consistently, but hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 8 and has only seen two red zone targets in the last five Chargers games. This week, he'll go up against a Falcons secondary that has been below average against wide receivers all season. He should be a solid WR2 option with upside if he gets more involved in the red zone again.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Hassan Haskins could have some sneaky fantasy value in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. With starter J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for this week, Haskins should mix in with fellow running backs Gus Edwards and Kimani Vidal. Last week, after Dobbins was forced to leave the game, Edwards played most of the early downs and Haskins played passing downs and red zone situations. Assuming Vidal is active this week, which he should be, he'll likely eat into Haskins' role, but both could still end up with some solid fantasy production especially in PPR leagues. Haskins is available for free in almost every league right now.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was helping carry the load on offense while wide receiver Mike Evans was sidelined. Last week, Evans made his return to the field and Otton saw his workload take a significant hit. The third-year tight end was able to haul in one of his three targets for 30 yards in the win over the New York Giants. The expectation is that Otton is going to see his value decrease with Evans back in the mix. However, Otton has shown he's capable of being a legitimate contributor, so he should still remain in the offensive gameplan. Fantasy managers should expect a bounce back outing from Otton against the Carolina Panthers this weekend. Although, fantasy managers should keep their expectations in check as his eight-catch games are probably behind him now.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp gets a favorable Week 13 matchup when he squares off against the New Orleans Saints on the road. Kupp and fellow wideout Puka Nacua have been stellar in the Rams' offense since returning from their respective injuries, dominating the target share of quarterback Matthew Stafford. They'll get another opportunity to shine this weekend against a Saints defense that has been a sieve for opposing offenses -- particularly their passing attacks. New Orleans has allowed the second-most passing yards per game in the NFL through Week 12 and is giving up 37.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers -- the sixth-highest of all squads. With his pristine role in Los Angeles' pass attack fully secured, fantasy managers can trust the 31-year-old as a top-flight option at his position. He's RotoBaller's PPR WR7 in this week's rankings.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is set for a good matchup in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Herbert ended up as the overall fantasy QB12 last week against the Ravens, giving him five straight QB1 finishes. This week is another good matchup against a Falcons defense that has allowed the eighth-most points to opposing quarterbacks. With starting running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for this game, the Chargers offense will likely rely on Herbert's arm a bit more, but we may see him work in a few more rushing attempts as well. All in all, Herbert is shaping up as a top-half QB1 this week.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans made his return to the field during last week's game against the New York Giants. Evans looked solid as he hauled in five of his six targets for 68 yards in the win. It didn't appear that Evans and quarterback Baker Mayfield lost any chemistry during the three-game absence. Fantasy managers should expect Evans to be the primary focus in the passing game especially with Chris Godwin (ankle) sidelined. That means, Evans should see a heavy usage which is good news heading into a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Fantasy managers should go ahead and plug in Evans as a WR1 for this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams will square off with a vulnerable New Orleans Saints defense this Sunday in a road tilt. The Notre Dame alum got back into the end zone in Week 12's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles after no such trips in his previous three outings. Curiously, he did not record a target for the second consecutive contest. He could find trouble in that aspect again when he lines up against a Saints defense that has limited running backs to 44 receptions in 2024 -- the eleventh-fewest in the league. However, New Orleans allows 134.2 yards on the ground per game to opposing rushing attacks -- the ninth-most in the NFL -- and an average of 5.0 yards per carry, the second-highest. Fantasy managers can confidently rely on Williams as a locked-in RB1, and he ranks as RotoBaller's PPR RB9 ahead of Week 13.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards is expected to get the start in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Edwards spent some time on IR this season, but even when healthy, he's played mostly a depth role behind starter J.K. Dobbins (knee). With Dobbins out this week though, Edwards should get bumped up to the starting role, at least on clear rushing downs. He's not a factor in the passing game, so his usage will be somewhat game script dependent, and he may need to find the end zone in order to put up a significant fantasy score. Last week, after Dobbins was injured, Edwards played a lot of early downs, but Hassan Haskins was in for passing plays and red zone drives. Edwards is a risky play with a somewhat high floor but not a high ceiling.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Sterling Shepard was expected to take a backseat in the passing game last week. However, Shepard actually saw a season-high seven targets during the win over the New York Giants. He hauled in five of those targets for 16 yards, which is a bummer for fantasy managers. The return of fellow wideout Mike Evans will likely take away most of the fantasy value from Shepard. For now, fantasy managers can keep Shepard as a low-end flex option because the seven targets is a promising look. However, there should be better options available to stream ahead of Sunday's Week 13 games. Shepard might be able to surprise everyone against a struggling Carolina Panthers defense.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has been unable to find much success on the ground this season. Luckily, White has been able to find the end zone in each of his last five games. The 25-year-old is starting to become a touchdown-dependent option with the way he's looking on the ground. Last week, White rushed 12 times for 37 yards with one score in the win over the New York Giants. He did very little through the air with only one reception for 10 yards. The return of wide receiver Mike Evans will likely take away some of White's targets going forward. That being said, White could be a bit of a shaky fantasy option down the stretch of the season. However, fantasy managers shouldn't have to worry too much yet with a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers this weekend. White should be able to produce in that game and offer low-end RB2 value.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin heads out of his bye to face off against the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 13. Conklin has been one of the main Jets pass catchers negatively affected by the trade that brought Davante Adams to the team as he has just 10 catches in the five games since the latter joined the team. The Seahawks represent a decent matchup for tight ends as they are allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to the position but Conklin isn't a big enough piece of the offense to take advantage of this in fantasy. He settles in as a low-end TE3 in fantasy and should not be in consideration for starting lineups this weekend.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets kicker Anders Carlson comes out of his bye to kick against the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 13. Carlson, who has appeared in one game for New York this season, made both of his field-goal attempts in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Seahawks have been stingy against kickers this season, allowing the 25th-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Carlson is not a recommended fantasy option heading into Week 13 against Seattle.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving posted arguably his best performance of the season against the New York Giants last week. Irving rushed for a season-high 88 yards and found the end zone as well. He also set career highs in receptions with six and 64 additional yards through the air in the win. The 22-year-old continues to earn himself a bigger role on the team with the way he's looking on the field. It's worth noting that he's still sharing carries with Rachaad White in the backfield. Despite that, Irving should be able to produce RB2 value in a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 13.
