Boswell will look to carry this momentum into a Week 2 meeting with the Seattle Seahawks, who fared well against fantasy kickers last season. Despite the matchup and modest projected point total, Boswell's consistency keeps him in play as a reliable starter across all formats.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton had two catches for 41 yards in the Week 1 loss to the Chargers. With Xavier Worthy (shoulder), who was injured early in the opener, doubtful for the Week 2 Super Bowl rematch with the Eagles, there is room for others to benefit. Marquise Brown, who had 10 catches (16 targets) for 99 yards against Los Angeles, has the best chance of remaining the No. 1 wideout. Travis Kelce should also continue to get attention from Patrick Mahomes. With that in mind, Mahomes can spread the ball around, so it's hard to predict if Thornton will stay involved enough to justify a spot as a fantasy starter. Although the 25-year-old should have a role in Week 2, fantasy managers will be rolling the dice if utilizing his services for streaming purposes against Philly.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth saw three targets last week and will look to build on his chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle was middle-of-the-road against opposing tight ends last season, but surrendered plenty of fantasy points to the position in its season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for Freiermuth, new addition Jonnu Smith appears to have a more significant role in Pittsburgh's offense. Smith led the Steelers' tight end room in snaps, targets, and receptions in Week 1. Freiermuth has proven to be a productive player over his five-year career, so while he is sure to have some big games this season, it will be difficult to predict them so long as the team's weapons stay healthy. He should be rostered in dynasty formats, but Freiermuth can remain on waiver wires in most redraft leagues.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews had only one catch for five yards in the upset loss to the Bills. While that statistical line was disappointing, his one target was even more troubling for fantasy managers. Fresh off a loss, Baltimore will look to pick up a win over the Browns in Week 2. Andrews has played extremely well versus Cleveland throughout his career (14 games), totaling 59 catches for 755 yards and 11 touchdowns. Still, after a disastrous Week 1 effort, he's hard to trust, especially with so many options on the offensive side of the ball for the Ravens. Without question, Andrews can get hot, so there's rarely a time when he isn't featured in a fantasy lineup. However, there is some risk involved, which is something fantasy managers need to consider.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had seven catches for 68 yards in the Week 1 win over the Chiefs. While he wasn't as productive as Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston, the veteran wideout had a team-high 10 targets while finding the end zone in the third quarter off of an 11-yard throw from Justin Herbert. With a win in the books, Los Angeles will face Las Vegas in Week 2 in another AFC West showdown. Geno Smith played well in the win over the Patriots. However, the defense still struggled at times, especially defending the pass. Not much is expected to change on that front on Monday night. It's apparent Allen and Herbert still have strong on-field chemistry. With that in mind, the 33-year-old appears to have some gas left in the tank, making him worthy of a spot in all fantasy lineups in Week 2.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones will get the start in Sunday's meeting with the Saints. With Brock Purdy (toe) out for the foreseeable future, the 49ers will now turn to Jones, who hasn't exactly had the best track record since entering the league in 2021. San Francisco will also be without George Kittle (hamstring). That may also be the case for Jauan Jennings (shoulder), who is listed as questionable. However, Christian McCaffrey is in the mix, which certainly helps take some pressure off of the signal-caller. Jones, who has thrown for 10,590 yards, 54 touchdowns, and 44 interceptions throughout his career, reportedly looked good during training camp. All things considered, Jones has a favorable matchup in Week 2 versus New Orleans, so he deserves consideration in SuperFlex formats. The 27-year-old should also see interest from DFS managers due to his rostering cost.

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III opened his NFL career quietly, finishing with one catch for -3 yards in the Bears' 27-24 loss to the Vikings. As expected, Burden wasn't a starter in Week 1 under head coach Ben Johnson, instead rotating in behind Rome Odunze, D.J. Moore, and Olamide Zaccheaus. He logged a 27% snap share and a 22% route participation rate, both fourth among Chicago's wideouts. The matchup in Week 2 is favorable, as the Bears face a Lions defense that allowed the most receiving yards to wide receivers in 2024, but Burden remains firmly off the fantasy radar. Until he can leapfrog Zaccheaus and carve out a larger role, he's more of a developmental stash than a lineup option.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson did not see the field much in the season opener and will hope for more involvement in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson logged just 10 of a possible 56 offensive snaps in Week 1, well behind starting wideouts DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin III. With Wilson competing alongside Ben Skowronek and Scotty Miller for the WR3 role, and Pittsburgh showing a willingness to utilize multiple tight ends, his path to meaningful opportunities remains narrow. As a second-year player who struggled to stay healthy as a rookie, Wilson may emerge at some point, but he should only be viewed as a stash in dynasty formats and cannot be considered in redraft lineups this week.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland made his NFL debut in Week 1 but had a quiet outing, catching both of his targets for just 12 yards in the 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. As expected, Loveland operated behind starter Cole Kmet, playing 57% of the snaps compared to Kmet's 90%. In one-tight end sets, Kmet dominated the role with 77% of the snaps, while Loveland accounted for just 23%. The matchup is brutal in Week 2, as Loveland faces a Detroit Lions defense that allowed the fewest fantasy points to tight ends in 2024. Until he overtakes Kmet in the Bears' tight end rotation, Loveland remains a stash-only option for fantasy managers.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson ran into a wall in Week 1 versus the Buccaneers, gaining just 24 yards on 12 attempts. However, he salvaged his day in the passing game, garnering seven targets and catching six of them for 100 yards receiving, which included a 50-yard touchdown scamper. The 23-year-old could have a tough go of it on the ground again in Week 2 on the road in Minnesota against a stout Vikings run defense that allowed just 53 yards rushing to running backs in Week 1, and allowed the second-fewest rush yards per game in 2024. Robinson did gain 92 yards against the Vikings in their 2024 matchup, but it took him 22 carries to get there. Averaging more than four targets per game a year ago and with a healthy dose of targets in Week 1, expect the former first-round draft pick to be heavily involved in both phases again, and with his ability to find the end zone, he shapes up as a top-five option at the position in Week 2.

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet had a quiet season opener, catching just one of four targets for 31 yards in the 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. His lone grab came on the final drive, a highlight-worthy one-handed diving catch over the middle. While rookie Colston Loveland has entered the rotation, Kmet still dominated usage, logging 90% of the snaps compared to Loveland's 56%, and handling 77% of one-tight-end sets versus Loveland's 23%. The volume and role remain encouraging, but the matchup is a major concern in Week 2. The Bears face a Detroit Lions defense that allowed the fewest fantasy points to tight ends in 2024. With a difficult opponent and a reduced ceiling due to Loveland's presence, Kmet is better left on fantasy benches this week.

Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos had a rough start to his 12th NFL season. He connected on three extra points but went just 1-of-2 on field goals, missing a crucial 50-yarder that ultimately proved to be the difference in the loss to the Minnesota Vikings. To make matters worse, on the final kickoff, the Bears needed Santos to boot the ball out of the end zone, but his short kick was returned and forced the clock to run down to the two-minute warning. With the Bears traveling to Detroit, Santos enters the week ranked as K23 and should be considered unstartable in fantasy. This could be a make-or-break week for his job security.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze looks to rebound after an inefficient Week 1 performance. The second-year wideout caught six of nine targets for just 37 yards, though he salvaged his fantasy day with a late touchdown in Chicago's 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. While the box score wasn't impressive, Odunze's usage was extremely encouraging, as he led all Bears receivers in snaps (94%), route share (92%), and targets (9). That role should set him up well against a Detroit Lions defense that allowed the most receiving yards to wideouts in 2024. Odunze struggled in last year's meetings with Detroit, but rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and former Bears receiver Keenan Allen both found plenty of success against the Lions in those matchups. Heading into Week 2, Odunze profiles as a high-end WR3 with room for more if he and Williams can take advantage of Detroit's secondary.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman didn't join in on the scoring in Week 1 despite the team hanging 40 points against the Buffalo Bills. Despite seeing a new career high almost across the board last season, Bateman is the definition of boom-or-bust when it comes to fantasy purposes. That's personified in the two matchups against the Cleveland Browns last season, where he posted one reception for 28 yards in Week 8, and then had five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 18. He's still a threat to go for a long touchdown, but he's a big risk as a flex play for those that aren't in deeper fantasy leagues.

Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson had eight carries for 69 yards in the Week 1 win over the Saints. He added one catch for six yards. While the 23-year-old didn't find the end zone, he still played well, averaging 8.6 yards per carry. Of course, James Conner was involved, logging 43 snaps, 21 more than Benson. Still, it was apparent that Benson had a place in the offense, even more than some had anticipated. With the Cards coming off a win, the team will look to keep it going in Week 2 versus the Panthers. Without question, Carolina had issues stopping the Jags on the ground, with Travis Etienne ending the day with 143 yards off 16 attempts. Conner should remain the No. 1 option out of the backfield in Sunday's showdown with the Panthers. However, Benson will likely get plenty of work, especially if the game gets out of hand. With a favorable matchup on the horizon, the 2024 No. 66 overall pick can be viewed as a flex option in deeper fantasy formats.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London (shoulder) was a full participant at practice on Friday afterbeing limited earlierin the week. The 24-year-old suffered a shoulder sprain in Week 1 but appears to be on track to play in Sunday night's matchup against Minnesota. The former first-round draft pick was heavily involved last week, drawing 15 looks from quarterback Michael Penix Jr., turning it into eight catches for 55 yards. London averaged 13 targets in the three games Penix Jr. started at the end of 2024, so this appears to be a continuation of that. As such, against a Minnesota defense that is much easier to throw on than run on, London should be the team's top target-earner again in Week 2. The fourth-year wideout projects as a low-end WR1 option on Sunday night, but carries some upside against a banged-up Vikings defense.
