ESPN New York's Rich Cimini writes that quarterback Aaron Rodgers' eventual departure greatly increases the chances of wide receiver Garrett Wilson returning to the New York Jets. Their was tension between Rodgers and Wilson last year, which started in training camp and came to a head late in the regular season, leading to speculation that Wilson could request a trade. In 11 games with both Wilson and Davante Adams on the team, Adams was targeted 112 times (third-most in the league, while Wilson saw just 87 targets. The 24-year-old Wilson is coming off his third straight 1,000-yard receiving campaign and should be the Jets' unquestioned No. 1 pass-catcher next year after they move on from Adams. Although Wilson should have a much safer target floor in 2025 with Adams out of the picture, his fantasy value will depend a lot on who the Jets tab as their next QB.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed quarterback John Wolford and wide receiver Louis Rees-Zammit to their active roster on Monday, the team announced. Wolford was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams last year but didn't play in any regular-season games before joining Jacksonville's practice squad in December. The 29-year-old has played in seven NFL games (four starts), dating back to 2020, with all of his action coming with the Rams. He's gone 61-for-104 for 626 yards with a touchdown and five interceptions. Wolford will merely give the Jags extra QB depth heading into the 2025 season. Rees-Zammit is a rugby player from Wales that was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs last summer, but he was cut following the preseason before latching onto the Jaguars' practice squad. The 24-year-old had six carries for 24 yards in the preseason with the Chiefs.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have narrowed their search for a new general manager down to five candidates, which include San Francisco 49ers director of scouting and football operations Josh Williams, Los Angeles Rams director of scouting strategy James Gladstone, Chicago Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham, Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan and current Jaguars interim GM Ethan Waugh. Jacksonville is expected to hire a new GM b the end of the week. The Jaguars are searching for a new GM after firing Trent Baalke following the 2024 season, which was believed to be directly related to how he handled their head-coaching search. Jacksonville eventually hired former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen, but only after firing Baalke and preventing Coen from returning to the Bucs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers never called the Jacksonville Jaguars recently about potentially trading for quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder), according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation. Last week, Ryan Burr of the Big 10 Network reported that the Steelers reached out to the Jags about Lawrence, but sources quickly said there's "no chance" it would happen. Lawrence said on Monday that he won't waive his no-trade clause and won't go to Pittsburgh. The Steelers are at a crossroads at the QB position with both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields entering free agency, but they are expected to re-sign one of them this offseason. Although the Jaguars remain without a new general manager, those in the front office apparently remain fully committed to the former first overall pick out of Clemson. Fantasy managers, however, will probably be ignoring him this fall in 12-team, one-QB leagues.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is expected to be franchise-tagged, according to James Rapien of SI.com. The team used the tag on him last offseason and is planning to do so again between February 18 and March 4 during the tag window. However, the organization is hoping to sign Higgins to a long-term extension this time around. The 26-year-old has hauled in 330 passes for 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns in 70 games since being selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Higgins caught a career-high 10 touchdowns in 2024. Surely, many franchises were hoping Higgins would hit the open market, but it appears the Bengals are doing everything they can to keep the former Clemson star in Cincinnati for the short and long-term future.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent WR Chris Godwin will not receive the franchise tag this offseason. However, the team will do everything it can to retain him.
Fantasy Spin: Godwin is a great WR2, but he has the propensity for the serious injury. So there is risk and reward in taking him as a WR2, but he'll be a great WR3 if he falls in drafts.
From TheHuddle
Green Bay Packers CB Jaire Alexander is likely to be traded or let go in the offseason, in the opinion of beat writer Rob Demovsky. Multiple team sources have been frustrated at Alexander's inability to stay healthy or unwillingness to play through injury.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said he expects to use play-action more often under head coach Brian Schottenheimer. 'I've always enjoyed play-action pass, so just being able to get back to that,' Prescott said. 'But you've got to start with the run game, and when you have that, the rest of the offense can open up.'
Fantasy Spin: Although Schottenheimer's offensive philosophy could provide Prescott with more opportunities to make plays down the field, it sounds like it will mean a more run-heavy approach overall. Prescott should probably be viewed as a solid QB2.
From TheHuddle
Former New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers is not expected to receive much interest from the New York Giants this offseason, according to the New York Post's Paul Schwartz.
Fantasy Spin: The Giants will be looking for a starting quarterback during the offseason but probably have other options in mind and will avoid Rodgers. Some teams in need of a starter probably will pursue Rodgers, but he will be No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he starts.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent RB Kareem Hunt seems to have a good chance to re-sign with the Chiefs this offseason, in the opinion of ChiefsWire's John Dillon.
From TheHuddle
Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent QB Joe Flacco probably will not re-sign with the Colts this offseason, in the opinion of ColtsWire's Paul Bretl.

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews may be asked to restructure his contract this offseason so the team can create nearly $5 million in salary cap space if he reworks his deal, in the opinion of RavensWire's Glenn Erby.
Fantasy Spin: Andrews improved his play as the season went on and caught a touchdown in each of his last six regular season games. He should continue to be involved in the passing game if he stays with the Ravens and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most fantasy leagues.

The Baltimore Banner reports that seven additional massage therapists have accused Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior, bringing the total to 16 women at eight Baltimore-area spas that have thrown accusations his way. This situation looks awfully similar to Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson's, when he was suspended 11 games and fined $5 million in 2022 after allegations of sexual misconduct by more than two dozen women who claimed Watson committed sexual misconduct during massage-therapy sessions. It's unclear what will play out with Tucker in Baltimore, but considering he's also coming off the worst season in his career in 2024, it's possible the Ravens could outright cut him this offseason to avoid any further headaches. At the very least, Tucker could be heading for a lengthy suspension in 2025 if he sticks with the organization.
From RotoBaller
The Miami Dolphins may be willing to listen to trade offers for WR Tyreek Hill, although it is expected to take a significant offer for the club to move him, according to multiple league executives.
Fantasy Spin: Hill saw a dip in production after playing alongside multiple quarterbacks in 2024 but has been productive when starting QB Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. Regardless of where he is playing in 2025, Hill should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears impending free-agent TE Marcedes Lewis plans to continue his playing career next season.

Denver Broncos impending free-agent DT D.J. Jones said he is interested in re-signing with the Broncos this offseason.

Detroit Lions impending free-agent DE Al-Quadin Muhammad said he would like to re-sign with the Lions this offseason.

The Miami Dolphins announced on Friday that they released tight end Durham Smythe and cornerback Kendall Fuller. Smythe was originally drafted by the Dolphins in the fourth round in 2018 out of Notre Dame. The 29-year-old caught 132 of his 175 targets for 1,228 yards and only three touchdowns in his 112 games (74 starts) with the team over seven seasons, but now he'll head to the open market after catching just nine passes for 53 yards and no scores on 17 targets in 17 games in 2024. He played just 32% of the offensive snaps last year after the addition of Jonnu Smith. Miami saves $2.175 million in salary cap space with the move. Fuller, 30, suffered multiple concussions and a knee injury that limited him to 11 games in 2024 in his first year in Miami after he began his career with eight years with the Washington Commanders. His release clears $2.761 million against the cap with $5.412 million in dead money.
From RotoBaller
The New York Giants signed wide receiver Montrell Washington and cornerback Nic Jones to Reserve/Futures deals on Friday. Washington was originally a fifth-round selection (162 overall) by the Denver Broncos in 2022 out of Samford. The 25-year-old pass-catcher made his NFL debut in his rookie year with Denver and caught four of his nine targets for only two yards while carrying the ball five times for 30 yards in 15 contests (one start). He hasn't appeared in an NFL game since and spent most of last season on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad. Washington will now train with the Giants this offseason and attempt to make their 53-man roster as receiver depth out of training camp this summer. Jones, 23, was a seventh-rounder by the Chiefs in 2023 out of Ball State. He has four solo tackles in 10 NFL games since debuting with KC in 2023.
From RotoBaller
Updating previous reports, the Kansas City Chiefs want TE Travis Kelce to make a decision about his status for the 2025 season by March 14, according to a source. It is uncertain if he will return for his 12th NFL season or retire.
Fantasy Spin: If Kelce is still on the Chiefs' active roster on March 15, he would automatically receive a roster bonus of $11.5 million, so the team would like a final decision before that date. This would allow Kansas City to make alternate plans if he retires, although they would be sacrificing the first few days of NFL free agency, which opens on March 10. Kelce would be considered a TE1 option in all fantasy formats if he decides to continue his playing career.
