    D'Ernest Johnson Oct 27 9:30am CT
    D'Ernest Johnson

Jacksonville Jaguars running back D'Ernest Johnson is expected to once again see a heavier workload in the backfield. It seems likely that fellow back Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) is going to be sidelined once again. That means, Johnson should serve as the primary backup to Tank Bigsby on Sunday. Last week, Johnson rushed nine times for 38 yards while hauling in three receptions for an additional 32 yards in the win over the New England Patriots. Fantasy managers should expect a similar workload from Johnson during Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. That being said, Johnson should see enough time on the field to produce low-end flex value in Week 8.

Tee Higgins Oct 27 9:30am CT
    Tee Higgins

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (quad) remains uncertain heading into the Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Higgins suffered a quad injury on Friday and now faces an uphill battle to suit up this weekend. The Bengals are likely going to wait and see how Higgins feels during warmups before making a final decision. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Bengals let Higgins rest as they don't want this to turn into a long term issue. If he sits, Andrei Iosivas would move into the No. 2 role for this offense and become a possible flex option for Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Mason Tipton Oct 27 9:20am CT
    Mason Tipton

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Mason Tipton is coming off his best performance of the season. He hauled in six of his nine targets for 45 yards in the loss to the Denver Broncos. It was a surprisingly high workload for Tipton who hadn't finished with more than two receptions in any previous contests. It's worth noting that top wideout Chris Olave was sidelined last week, but is back now. That probably means that Tipton goes back to having a minimal role in the offense. Tipton is worth stashing in some dynasty formats, but isn't an ideal streaming option for the Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

    From RotoBaller

Justice Hill Oct 27 9:00am CT
    Justice Hill

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill has been an inconsistent fantasy option throughout the season. Last week, Hill was able to salvage his fantasy value with three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown through the air. Hill has struggled as a runner this season with only two games over 20 yards heading into the Week 8 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens continue to lean on Derrick Henry as the lead back, so Hill is likely only going to have a minimal role. Fantasy managers should consider Hill as a boom-or-bust flex option for this weekend.

    From RotoBaller

Pierre Strong Jr. Oct 27 8:50am CT
    Pierre Strong Jr.

Cleveland Browns running back Pierre Strong Jr. is expected to serve as the top backup for the Week 8 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns are shorthanded at running back with Jerome Ford (hamstring) sidelined again. That means, Strong should get mixed in as the change-of-pace back behind Nick Chubb. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from Strong considering he rushed for six yards on three attempts last week. His role is likely going to be minimal with Chubb gaining more snaps each week. Fantasy managers should be able to find more production elsewhere.

George Kittle Oct 27 8:43am CT
    George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) is expected to play in Week 8's game versus the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle had been listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in two of the 49ers' three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis. When healthy, he should be viewed as a must-start option in all fantasy formats.

    From TheHuddle

Simi Fehoko Oct 27 8:40am CT
    Simi Fehoko

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Simi Fehoko was hardly involved in the offense until a few weeks ago. However, the 26-year-old has seen an increased role lately with the Chargers banged up at wideout. Over the last two weeks, Fehoko has hauled in five of his 10 targets for 89 yards. There's a good chance he continues seeing extended playing time with Quentin Johnston (ankle) listed as doubtful and Ladd McConkey (hip) tagged as questionable for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. The absence of either player should mean more targets for Fehoko in Week 8. He's not an ideal fantasy option but could be a low-end flex option for desperate fantasy managers this weekend.

    From RotoBaller

Bryce Young Oct 27 8:30am CT
    Bryce Young

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young will be back under center for the Week 8 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Young was benched after the first two games due to his poor performance. However, he's back to starting with Andy Dalton (thumb) banged up right now. The Panthers are hopeful that his time as the second string helped Young develop his game. It sounds like Young could reclaim the starting gig full-time if he plays well this weekend. However, the Panthers have put Young in a bad spot with both his top wideouts in Diontae Johnson (ribs) and Adam Thielen (hamstring) sidelined on Sunday. Young won't be a recommended fantasy option against a tough Broncos defense.

    From RotoBaller

George Kittle Oct 27 7:20am CT
    George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is expected to play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 despite being listed as questionable, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kittle has remained dominant through six games this year, racking up 34 catches for 375 yards and five touchdowns. So far, he remains second among tight ends in fantasy points. Fantasy managers should continue to deploy him as a high-end TE1 in all leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Jayden Daniels Oct 27 7:20am CT
    Jayden Daniels

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (rib) is trending toward being active for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He entered this weekend listed as questionable after being knocked out of last weekend's game in the first half, but all signs point to him starting in Week 8. The final hurdle for Daniels to clear is pregame warmups. If Daniels feels good while practicing before the game, he'll be confirmed as the Commanders starter. Assuming he plays, the No. 2 pick should be started in most fantasy leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Travis Etienne Oct 27 7:20am CT
    Travis Etienne

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) is a "longshot" to play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Etienne has battled injuries and poor production this year, dropping him outside the top 36 running backs for fantasy purposes and giving a terrific opportunity to second-year running back Tank Bigsby. With Etienne trending toward being inactive, fantasy managers should expect another huge week from Bigsby. He's a fantasy RB2 despite the tough matchup in Green Bay.

    From RotoBaller

Maxx Crosby Oct 27 7:10am CT
    Maxx Crosby

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby will not be traded prior to the 2024 trade deadline, owner Mark Davis told ESPN's Adam Schefter. There had been some speculation that the Raiders, now 2-5, could look to move Crosby, especially after trading Davante Adams to the New York Jets. However, in the end, Crosby is expected to remain a Raider. He has been terrific through six games so far this season, racking up 23 tackles and 6.5 sacks already.

    From RotoBaller

    D.K. Metcalf Oct 26 11:30pm CT
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) remains doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Buffalo Bills. The wideout was carted off the field in the Week 7 clash with the Atlanta Falcons. While head coach Mike Macdonald tried to downplay the severity of the injury, it appears it will be enough to keep him off the field. Metcalf will test things out during pregame warmups before a final determination is made. However, it will likely be Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba as Geno Smith's top receivers, making them both viable options for fantasy managers.

    From RotoBaller

Tee Higgins Oct 26 11:30pm CT
    Tee Higgins

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was "feeling better" on Saturday. However, while the Bengals hope he can get on the field versus the Philadelphia Eagles, the team will play it safe by keeping him out if necessary. Higgins has been on a roll of late, scoring three touchdowns in the last three weeks, so his absence would be a tough blow for a club looking to get to .500. With that said, if the wideout doesn't play, Andrei Iosivas would immediately enter the flex conversation.

    From RotoBaller

Tyreek Hill Oct 26 11:20pm CT
    Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (foot) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 30-year-old was limited in Thursday's practice because of a foot injury. However, concern regarding his availability grew after he missed Friday's session. Fortunately, it appears the Dolphins will have their top pass-catcher on the field in Week 8. Hill hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 1 and is coming off a rough Week 7 showing versus the Colts. With that said, Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) will be back on the field in Week 8, so Hill could easily bounce back with his signal-caller back under center.

    From RotoBaller

Zay Flowers Oct 26 11:10pm CT
    Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (ankle) is anticipated to play in Sunday's AFC North showdown with the Cleveland Browns. The wideout earned a questionable tag after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He logged a limited session on Friday, although that didn't add any clarity regarding his availability for Week 8. However, Barring a setback, Lamar Jackson will have his top pass-catcher on the field. Of course, Flowers is a must-start in all fantasy setups. Unfortunately, Flowers' presence could mean fewer targets for Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, and Isaiah Likely, who would have all been in line for more attention.

    From RotoBaller

Ladd McConkey Oct 26 11:00pm CT
    Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) is expected to play in Sunday's matchup with the Saints. The rookie has 24 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns this season, so he's the best pass-catcher on the roster. Naturally, there was some concern when he missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before logging a limited session on Friday. However, it appears McConkey will be good to go, which is certainly good news, considering Will Dissly (shoulder) and Quentin Johnston (ankle) are also carrying injury designations. With that in mind, McConkey deserves starting fantasy consideration in Week 8, even if DJ Chark Jr. (groin) is back on the field.

    From RotoBaller

Jakobi Meyers Oct 26 10:50pm CT
    Jakobi Meyers

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is expected to suit up for Sunday's divisional clash with the Kansas City Chiefs. Myers has been burdened by an ankle issue, keeping him off the field for the Raiders' previous two contests. The 27-year-old hasn't had a terrible season, amassing 25 catches (36 targets) for 273 yards and a touchdown. Of course, the Raiders offense is hard to trust. However, assuming Meyers officially receives the green light, he warrants flex consideration. His anticipated return could mean fewer targets for Brock Bowers, who had 19 catches combined in the last two games. DJ Turner and Tre Tucker may also have a tough time staying involved with Meyers back on the field.

    From RotoBaller

Deebo Samuel Oct 26 10:30pm CT
    Deebo Samuel

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (illness, wrist) is expected to play in Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The wideout has been battling a wrist issue for a few weeks. He also was dealing with a case of Pneumonia, forcing his premature exit from the Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Fortunately, Samuel started to feel better over the last few days, so barring a setback, he should be good to go. The 49ers are hurting on the offensive side of the ball, with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) done for the year and Jauan Jennings (hip) missing another contest. There's also a chance George Kittle (foot) isn't available. As such, expectations are high for Samuel in Week 8, even if he still has some residual symptoms related to the illness.

    From RotoBaller

Geno Smith Oct 26 10:26pm CT
    Geno Smith

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith has been a solid quarterback streaming option in 2024. He should deliver solid value again in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills, but you should temper expectations with DK Metcalf (knee) unlikely to play in this game. The Bills are also an absolute run-funnel. Teams have been able to run on them with ease which suggests this could be a big Kenneth Walker III (illness) day. Even so, they are relatively unproven as a pass defense. They have not faced a passing attack as voluminous and high-powered as the Seahawks in 2024. Still, any quarterback without a stud such as Metcalf in the lineup would experience a downgrade against most opponents. Smith is still a quality option this week but consider making other arrangements if your roster can handle it.
