Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs looks to keep his solid run going when the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jacobs scored his first touchdown as a Packer last week and totaled 94 total yards in their win over the Rams in Week 5. Jacobs should find many more running lanes against the Cardinals, who are a bottom-six defense in EPA/rush attempt on the season. Arizona has given up at least 80 yards rushing to four running backs in the last three weeks, so Jacobs should be in line for a quality day with the safe and solid volume he gets each week. Fantasy managers should feel secure in slotting Jacobs into their lineups as a RB1 option in most weeks and that doesn't change in Week 6.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. White missed the Week 5 loss to the division-rival Denver Broncos and is in danger of missing his second straight game. The 25-year-old was unable to practice on Wednesday or Thursday before returning to a limited session on Friday. Even if White suits up this weekend against Pittsburgh, fantasy managers should only consider him for a starting lineup spot if they are in dire straights at the RB position. He's been a huge disappointment through the first five weeks of the season, averaging a career-low 3.1 yards per carry on 49 rushing attempts (152 yards and no scores) in four games. Alexander Mattison will see the majority of backfield work for Vegas if White sits out again, putting him in play as an RB3/flex in fantasy in a tough matchup.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has slowed down a bit since his impressive start to the season. However, Godwin has still be one of the better fantasy options at wideout this season. Last week, Godwin hauled in five of his six targets for 64 yards in the overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Godwin now has 60 yards or more in four of his first five games this season. He has also seen eight or more targets in every game, but last week's loss. The assumption is that Godwin will continue getting consistent usage especially with Mike Evans likely drawing star defensive back Marshon Lattimore. Fantasy managers should keep Godwin on the WR1 radar in PPR formats for Week 6.
From RotoBaller
The Las Vegas Raiders officially ruled out wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) for the Week 6 contest against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Adams will miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury that isn't believed to be all that serious, but at this point, the 31-year-old isn't expected to play again as he awaits to be traded before the deadline in early November. In addition to Adams being out again, wideout Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is questionable to suit up. It means that quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who is taking over the starting job from Gardner Minshew II, could be down to Tre Tucker and rookie tight end Brock Bowers as his top two receiving targets against a swarming Steelers defense. If Meyers also is inactive on Sunday, DJ Turner and Tyreik McAllister would likely start in three-receiver sets for the Raiders. Adams' fantasy managers hope a trade goes down sooner than later.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is coming off a strong two-touchdown performance during last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Evans already has five touchdowns as they head into their Week 6 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Normally, Evans is a strong play as a WR1, but he could run into some trouble this weekend. He'll likely draw star defensive back Marshon Lattimore which could be problematic for Evans. Despite that, Evans should still be able to find success given the high volume of targets he sees on a regular basis. Evans should still be able to carve out low-end WR1 despite a challenging matchup this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is set for a great performance this week as he and the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Love has thrown multiple touchdowns in all three of his games this season and looks to parlay that into a fourth multiple-touchdown effort on Sunday. Love has a couple banged up pass-catchers in Tucker Kraft (groin) and Christian Watson (ankle) but Kraft is off the injury report and Watson is listed as questionable on the team's injury report. Still, with Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, a returning Romeo Doubs, and the Cardinals' fourth-worst defensive EPA/pass attempt opposing him, Love should be able to post quality numbers for fantasy managers. Lock Love into your lineups as a solid QB1 option in Week 6.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game this Sunday at Allegiant Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Davante Adams (hamstring) has been ruled out for the third straight game, so if Meyers is also unable to gain clearance to play, the Raiders would be down to Tre Tucker, DJ Turner and Tyreik McAllister in three-receiver sets. Rookie first-round Brock Bowers should have a high target floor yet again with Adams out. Meyers missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before putting in a limited session on Friday. If he's able to play, the 27-year-old will serve as the team's WR1 for the third straight week. In the last two games with Adams out, Meyers has caught 11 of 19 targets for 121 yards and no touchdowns. Right now, he's shaping up as a shaky WR3/flex for fantasy managers because of his questionable status, especially with Vegas' game coming in the later window on Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving is trending towards making his first career start during Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Fellow back Rachaad White (foot) has been limited to one practice this week and is considered a game-time decision for Week 6. If White sits, Irving is expected to get a majority of the snaps in the backfield. He has been effective this season with 247 yards on 44 carries, which is 5.6 yards per carry. The Saints defense is middle of the road when it comes to defending against the run. Irving should be to find success and is in the RB2 conversation, assuming White is unable to play.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is coming off another strong performance during last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Mayfield threw for 180 yards and tossed three touchdowns as the Bucs took a tough overtime loss. The former first-round pick has thrown 11 touchdowns with only two interceptions through the first five games of the season. He'll now head into a matchup against a tough New Orleans Saints pass defense. Despite that, Mayfield has been able to overcome obstacles all season long and should be in the QB1 conversation for this Week 6 matchup.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (personal) was placed on the reserve/non-football injury and illness list according to Field Yates of ESPN. Mayer has not suited up since Week 3 due to a personal matter and is now expected to miss more time. The Notre Dame product enjoyed a productive rookie campaign as he caught 27 passes for 304 yards and two scores. While Mayer remains away from the team, fantasy managers should expect rookie Brock Bowers to continue to see the vast majority of snaps at the position and remain a high-end option for the foreseeable future.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the New York Giants. Brown appeared on the injury report on Thursday after logging a limited practice session and remained in the same capacity on Friday. Earlier on Friday, head coach Zac Taylor said that Brown is expected to play. Fantasy managers should monitor his status over the weekend in case he faces a set back. Brown has seen double-digit carries in consecutive games and remains a high-upside flex option this weekend facing the New York Giants.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White (foot) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. White opened the week as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice but was downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday and Friday which does not bode well for his status this weekend. If White is unable to suit up, fourth-round rookie Bucky Irving would get the starting nod. Irving has seen his opportunities increase over the past few weeks due to his strong efficiency as runner. If White is unable to play, fantasy managers should feel confident locking Irving into their lineup as a high-upside RB2.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is expected to play in Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans barring a late-week surprise, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Richardson suffered an oblique injury in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and was sidelined last weekend. This week, Richardson was able to log a limited practice session on Wednesday but was able to upgrade to full participation on Thursday and Friday, which suggests he should be in line to return to action. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status over the weekend in case he faces a setback. Richardson has struggled to remain consistent throughout his young career and remains a high-risk, high-upside QB1 against the Titans.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game, according to Wes Hodkiewicz. The former first-round selection was unable to suit up last week due to an ankle sprain he suffered in Week 4. This week, Watson was able to log three consecutive limited practice sessions. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to any updates over the weekend. Watson found the end zone in Week 1 but has been relatively quiet and has caught only two passes since Week 2. If Watson is able to suit up, he should be viewed as a flex option with risk given the amount of pass-catchers in the Green Bay offense, which limits his production.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Pittman did not participate in Wednesday's or Thursday's practice but was able to return in full on Friday which is a promising sign for his status for this weekend. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status ahead over the weekend. The USC product got off to a slow start this season but has tallied at least ten PPR points in each of his past two games with a a high of 17.3 in Week 4. If Pittman is able to suit up he should be viewed as a high-floor WR3 in PPR leagues.
From RotoBaller
The Cleveland Browns defense has struggled this year to recapture the dominant form that made them a top fantasy defense in 2023. Things won't get any easier as they will head on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. The Eagles will be close to full strength as they will be getting A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) back this weekend. The Browns are dealing with several injuries on the defensive side of the ball, including Denzel Ward (hamstring), who has been limited in practice this week, and Myles Garrett (Achilles) who has been playing through Achilles and foot injuries. Fantasy gamers should look elsewhere for their starting defense in Week 6.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins made both of his field-goal attempts in a Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders. The veteran kicker has now converted seven of his eight attempts this season as he gears up to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. The Eagles have been average against kickers this season, allowing the 15th-most fantasy points per game to the position through four games. Hopkins has been a reliable kicker but the Cleveland offense is not playing well this season, which limits his ceiling. Treat him as a low-end fantasy option heading into Week 6.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) will not play on Sunday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2. Stevenson was unable to practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was not seen at Friday's practice. Even though he will sit out this weekend, head coach Jerod Mayo expressed that this injury is not deemed to be serious and will not sideline Stevenson for an extended period. Fantasy managers should monitor the 26-year-old's status during next week's practices. On Sunday, Antonio Gibson should be expected to serve as the lead running back and should be viewed as a high-volume flex play against a tough Houston run defense.
From RotoBaller
The San Francisco 49ers won't open the practice window for running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) this week, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. McCaffrey is ramping up his football activities as he deals with bi-lateral Achilles tendinitis in both of his legs, but he won't return to practice next week or be available to play in Week 7 for a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs. CMC remains on Injured Reserve, and the 49ers are most likely targeting a potential return for last year's Offensive Player of the Year in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after their Week 9 bye. Fantasy managers must remain patient and hope the 28-year-old can return to form quickly upon his return later this season. With Jordan Mason (shoulder) suffering an AC joint sprain in Thursday night's win over the Seahawks, rookie Isaac Guerendo could be called upon to start in Week 7 versus KC.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) struggled in Week 5, catching just one of his three targets for 16 yards. He will look to bounce back in a plus matchup against a Philadelphia Eagles secondary that is allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. Jeudy has been listed with a knee injury for several weeks now, but he has been practicing fully and should be without any limitations heading into Week 6. The main concern here is a struggling Cleveland passing attack headlined by Deshaun Watson. Watson has yet to throw for more than 196 yards in a game this season and has thrown for multiple touchdowns just once. Jeudy is worth a look as a WR4/flex option this weekend but fantasy managers should temper their expectations until this Cleveland passing game shows improvement.
