Will Dissly Oct 21 11:40pm CT
    Will Dissly

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly led the Chargers in all receiving categories in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Dissly was targeted 11 times, making eight catches for 81 yards. Those numbers were all good for first place in each category, as the next most targeted Charger (Ladd McConkey) saw seven balls thrown his way, making five catches. Dissly had made 13 catches all season entering this game, but he saw heavy targets as the Chargers tried to not rely on their running game for the first real time this season (it didn't work). Despite not scoring a touchdown, this might end up being Dissly's best fantasy performance of the season. Chasing points with him in Week 8 against the Saints is not likely a recommended strategy.

Josh Palmer Oct 21 11:40pm CT
    Josh Palmer

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer made four catches in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Palmer was targeted five times, making the four catches for 63 yards. One of Palmer's grabs was a beautiful toe-tap catch on the sideline that ended up being his biggest gain. Palmer came into the season with a lot of hype, but this was the most targets, yards, and catches for him so far this season. He could have some better games coming up if the Chargers continue throwing the ball more often, but Palmer still hasn't shown anything to warrant making it into fantasy starting lineups.

Ladd McConkey Oct 21 11:40pm CT
    Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey made five catches in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. McConkey ended up with seven targets and five catches, both good for second-most on the team behind tight end Will Dissly. He gained 46 yards, which was third highest. McConkey had a slow first half before turning it on a bit in the second half and ending up with a decent enough fantasy performance. With the Chargers throwing the ball more often, McConkey could have his fantasy arrow pointing up when the Bolts face the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.

Chris Godwin Oct 21 11:30pm CT
    Chris Godwin

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (ankle) was diagnosed with a dislocated ankle near the end of Monday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Todd Bowles told the media postgame. Godwin will be out indefinitely. He suffered the injury with one minute left in the fourth quarter as the Buccaneers trailed by 10 points. Godwin finished Week 7 with nine targets, seven catches, and 65 receiving yards. He was placed in an air cast and carted off the field. The injury was gruesome enough that ESPN declined to show a replay on its broadcast. Football fans on social media were quick to criticize head coach Todd Bowles for keeping his starters in the game with such little time left on the clock. While Bowles explained postgame that he felt the Buccaneers still had a chance to win, his decision evidently backfired as Tampa Bay lost and Godwin is now expected to be done for the season. He finishes the 2024 campaign with 50 catches, 576 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. It's possible the veteran receiver has played his final game with the Buccaneers as he prepares to hit free agency during the 2025 offseason. It's a devastating loss for Tampa Bay and fantasy football managers everywhere, as well as crushing news for Godwin amidst a promising start to the 2024 season. Moving forward, Jalen McMillan and Trey Palmer should earn more snaps alongside starting wide receiver Mike Evans.

Kimani Vidal Oct 21 11:30pm CT
    Kimani Vidal

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal got four touches in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Vidal ran the ball three times, gaining a total of 10 yards and made a catch on his only passing game target, gaining nine yards through the air. Vidal got a lot of hype after his Week 6 performance but is still clearly far behind starter J.K. Dobbins in the Chargers backfield. He's a top-tier direct backup but likely won't have much value on his own as long as Dobbins stays on the field. The Chargers face the New Orleans Saints in a Week 8 game on Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

    J.K. Dobbins Oct 21 11:20pm CT
    J.K. Dobbins

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins struggled to find room in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Dobbins ran the ball 14 times, gaining 40 yards with a long of 11. He was targeted three times in the passing game, making all three catches for a total of 26 yards. Dobbins remained the clear starter in this backfield, as he got 17 touches and every other Chargers running back combined for just six. As long as he stays healthy, he'll remain "the guy" for the Chargers running game, which makes him an RB1/2 depending on the matchup. Week 8 awaits with a Sunday game against the New Orleans Saints.

Justin Herbert Oct 21 11:10pm CT
    Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had his first 300-yard game of the season in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Herbert threw the ball 39 times, completing 27 passes. The attempts and completions were also season highs for Herbert, and it was also the first game where the Chargers focused far more on passing the ball than on running it. Despite the solid passing game, Herbert didn't find the end zone (partly because of an inexcusably awful fumble by Jalen Reagor), which kept him from putting up a particularly strong fantasy performance. Still, it was a mostly encouraging performance from Herbert and the Los Angeles passing game, who will take on the Saints on Sunday in Week 8.

Jameson Williams Oct 21 9:50pm CT
    Jameson Williams

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is facing a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, according to sources. It's more bad news for Williams' fantasy managers after he caught his only target for negative-four yards in the big divisional win in Week 7 over the Minnesota Vikings. It was the second time in six games this year Williams recorded just one catch in a game, but he also has three receiving touchdowns and has gone over 76 receiving yards four times as a boom/bust deep threat for Detroit. The 23-year-old speedy pass-catcher will obviously be off the board the next two weeks for fantasy managers, while second-year tight end Sam LaPorta could finally break out of his slump as a field-stretcher. With Williams out the next two weeks, Tim Patrick and Kalif Raymond should be more involved alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Justice Hill Oct 21 9:10pm CT
    Justice Hill

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie safety Tykee Smith (head) suffered a head injury in the first half of Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens and is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return. Smith's head injury came as he was making a tackle on running back Justice Hill in the second quarter. The 23-year-old didn't have a tackle before leaving the contest, but he's become a big part of Tampa's secondary this year in just his first year in the NFL after being drafted in the third round out of Georgia. He came into Monday's Week 7 contest with 33 tackles (22 solo), an interception, four pass breakups and two forced fumbles. If Smith indeed suffered a concussion and does not return against the Ravens, Tavierre Thomas will be forced into a bigger role.

    From RotoBaller

Nate Wiggins Oct 21 9:00pm CT
    Nate Wiggins

Baltimore Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey (knee) is considered questionable to return for Monday's Week 7 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It appears Humphrey suffered a knee injury during his second interception of the night. Humphrey appeared to be getting checked out on the sideline and headed to the locker room before halftime. The Ravens are banged up in the secondary right now, so losing Humphrey would be a huge hit. Nate Wiggins would likely be asked to step into a bigger role if Humphrey cannot return in the second half.

Anthony Richardson Oct 21 9:00pm CT
    Anthony Richardson

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has struggled as a passer early on in the season. Richardson saw his struggles continue on Sunday when he completed 41.7 percent of his passes for 129 yards in the win over the Miami Dolphins. Despite his struggles, head coach Shane Steichen is showing faith in his young-signal caller and even said he needs to put Richardson in better positions to succeed. In parts of five games, Richardson has thrown for 783 yards with three touchdowns and six interceptions. The Colts are sticking with Richardson, but fantasy managers might want to look for another viable option given his struggles.

    From RotoBaller

Tank Dell Oct 21 8:50pm CT
    Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell posted a dud during Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Dell failed to haul in any of his four targets in the narrow defeat. Before that, Dell had 11 receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown over the two previous contests. After the game, quarterback C.J. Stroud acknowledged that they need to do a better job of getting Dell involved in the offense. The Texans desperately need Dell to step up with Nico Collins (hamstring) sidelined right now. The hope is that Dell bounces back after this which he should considering he does have a ton of potential. Fantasy managers should consider his bad performance as more of a fluke outing.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Evans Oct 21 8:40pm CT
    Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of Monday's Week 7 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Evans started off great with a 25-yard touchdown to open the game. Sadly, Evans went down hard on his next red zone target which resulted in him leaving with the training staff. It's worth noting that Evans came into his contest with a hamstring issue, so it sounds like he re-aggravated it. Unfortunately, Evans night is over, but hopefully he won't be sidelined for long. Chris Godwin will become the primary wideout in Tampa Bay. The Bucs don't have a viable third receiver, so Rachaad White, Jalen McMillan, and Cade Otton should all see more involvement in the passing game.

Deshaun Watson Oct 21 8:30pm CT
    Deshaun Watson

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) is set to miss the rest of the 2024 season after going down during Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Watson suffered a torn Achilles that is going to sideline him for the rest of 2024 and figures to keep him out part of next season. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is hopeful for Watson's recovery, but the organization doesn't seem fully committed to Watson going forward. This is now the second straight season that Watson will have a season-ending injury. When healthy, Watson has looked lackluster on the field, which isn't helping his case. The Browns have fallen to 1-6 with the loss on Sunday. The organization would be foolish to overlook taking a possible franchise quarterback if they get the chance in the draft. Watson is still owed $44.2 million for next season, but that doesn't sound like it's going to stop Cleveland from trying to find their next franchise quarterback.

Haason Reddick Oct 21 7:50pm CT
    Haason Reddick

New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said on Monday that it's too early to say if All-Pro pass-rusher Haason Reddick will make his team debut this Sunday in a Week 8 contest against the division-rival New England Patriots. Reddick came off the Did Not Report list on Monday after he and the team finally agreed to an adjusted contract over the weekend after the 30-year-old held out for the first seven weeks of the season. He's expected to play this weekend against the Patriots, but it's not official yet, and even if Reddick does return, he'll most likely be on some sort of a limited snap count in his first game with the team. Regardless, a banged-up Jets defense that just allowed 37 points to the Steelers in a loss on Sunday night will receive a boost with the addition of Reddick, who has had double-digit sacks in each of the last four years.

Adam Thielen Oct 21 7:30pm CT
    Adam Thielen

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) said he thinks the plan is for the team to open his 21-day practice window this Wednesday. Thielen has missed all four games during the team's losing streak and will be eligible to come off Injured Reserve and play in Week 8 versus the Denver Broncos. The 32-year-old is recovering from a right-hamstring injury, but even if his practice window is opened this week, it won't guarantee his return to the field on Sunday. When Thielen does return, he'll enter three-wide sets alongside Diontae Johnson and rookie Xavier Legette, but he's unlikely to have the kind of fantasy upside he had in 2023 now that Legette is in the picture. The veteran pass-catcher had eight catches on 12 targets for 109 yards with a touchdown in three games before his injury. Those searching for wideout depth in deeper fantasy leagues could look to Thielen for depth if he's available.

Trey Benson Oct 21 7:20pm CT
    Trey Benson

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Trey Benson (illness) is officially active for the Cardinals on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. Benson did not practice on Saturday due to an illness and was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but he will be active and continue to serve as James Conner's backup. The 22-year-old's role has been limited so far in his first NFL season while working behind Conner, as he has only received 30 rushing attempts for 107 yards (3.6 yards per carry) and no touchdowns while adding two receptions on his two targets for 12 yards. Benson has seen double-digit rushing attempts just once, and that was back in Week 2. Expect a similar limited workload on Monday night against a tough defense. In most fantasy leagues, Benson is merely a handcuff for Conner.

Desmond Ridder Oct 21 7:20pm CT
    Desmond Ridder

The Las Vegas Raiders signed quarterback Desmond Ridder off of the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad on Monday, according to sources. Ridder will give the Raiders extra QB depth after the team placed Aidan O'Connell (thumb) on Injured Reserve after he fractured his right thumb in the Week 7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. O'Connell is expected to miss four to six weeks with his injury. Ridder, the former third-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 out of Cincinnati, did not see the field at all in Arizona and is coming off a 2023 campaign in Atlanta that saw him throw for 2,836 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing 64.2% of his pass attempts. For now, he'll serve as Gardner Minshew II's backup with the Raiders. If he's forced into action, Ridder will be a desperation QB2, at best, in superflex formats.

    From RotoBaller

Kyler Murray Oct 21 7:10pm CT
    Kyler Murray

Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Joey Bosa (hip) is officially inactive for the Monday night clash against the Arizona Cardinals in the desert. Bosa was unable to practice all week and will miss his third straight game after injuring his hip in the Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 29-year-old oft-injured pass-rusher will now hope to make progress later this week in order to give himself a shot to play again this Sunday for a Week 8 battle against the New Orleans Saints. Despite Bosa's injury, the Chargers' defense has remained stout and they have allowed the fewest points per game (13.2) to this point in the season. Things might be more difficult on Monday without Bosa, though, against mobile quarterback Kyler Murray.

    From RotoBaller

Hayden Hurst Oct 21 7:10pm CT
    Hayden Hurst

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) is officially inactive for the Monday night game against the Arizona Cardinals after he was listed as doubtful on Saturday's final injury report. Hurst didn't practice all week and will now hope to return for a Week 8 contest versus the New Orleans Saints this Sunday. The 31-year-old has been a TE2 in fantasy, at best, so far in his first year with the Chargers. Through his first five games in 2024, he has only six receptions on 10 targets for 59 yards and no touchdowns in a run-first offense. With Hurst sidelined on Monday night against Arizona, expect Will Dissly to be a little more involved in the passing attack at the tight end position. At best, Dissly will be a deep DFS sleeper at the position.
