Veteran running back Latavius Murray is retiring from the NFL, Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reports. Murray was originally a sixth-round pick (181st overall) in the 2013 NFL draft out of Central Florida by the Oakland Raiders. The 35-year-old spent the first three years of his NFL career in Oakland before then joining the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints for two years each. Murray bounced around with the Baltimore Ravens, Saints, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills his last three seasons. He finishes his 10-year NFL career with 6,552 rushing yards and 59 touchdowns on 1,560 attempts while catching 239 passes for 1,620 yards and two more TDs in 151 regular-season games. Murray was a Pro Bowler once in 2015 with the Raiders, when he had 1,066 rushing yards and six touchdowns. He had 300 yards in 16 games with the Bills in his final season in 2023.

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson dropped 10 pounds heading into the 2025 season in an effort to add the necessary speed to make big plays. "I'm trying to unlock breakaway speed," Stevenson said, and "having TreVeyon (Henderson) coming in here running a 4.3. Let me get my speed up." The 27-year-old had a career-best seven rushing touchdowns and ran for 801 yards on 207 carries in his fourth year in the NFL, but he also fumbled the ball seven times. The Pats' investment of RB TreVeyon Henderson in the second round of this year's draft has Stevenson's fantasy stock on the decline. Stevenson still has three-down abilities, but it's clear New England wants to mix in Henderson with him, which lowers Stevenson's fantasy ceiling more of a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex in fantasy. At the very least, he should see plenty of goal-line opportunities.

The early returns on Carolina Panthers rookie first-round wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan have "been glowing," a Panthers source told FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. "He's been even better than advertised -- smooth, explosive, and already gaining trust from the QBs. You can't take your eyes off him at practice because he's making so many big plays." McMillan dealt with a minor leg injury in minicamp but is full-go now and is looking great after the Panthers took him eighth overall in April's NFL draft. The 22-year-old will be the team's X receiver right away as he looks to become one of quarterback Bryce Young's favorite target right away. McMillan will be competing for targets with Xavier Legette and veteran Adam Thielen. If Young takes another step forward in Year 3, McMillan could be a bargain with WR2 upside in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.

Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker/edge rusher Jalon Walker (hamstring) will miss his third consecutive practice on Thursday, according to Josh Kendall of The Athletic. Walker's injury has been described as "very minor" by Falcons head coach Raheem Morris. A first-round draft pick out of the University of Georgia, Walker recorded 37 solo tackles, 6.5 sacks, and 11 TFLs in 14 games for the Bulldogs in 2024. The 21-year-old is expected to be an immediate contributor for a Falcons defense that has been desperate for pass-rushing talent in recent seasons. It doesn't sound as though this current injury puts Walker at risk for significant missed time, but with every practice he misses, Walker loses out on valuable preparation time for his first NFL season.

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III "looks outstanding," according to Adam Hoge of CHGO. Burden III was kicked out of practice by Bears head coach Ben Johnson on Tuesday after making a pre-snap alignment mistake, but it appears as though he's rebounded nicely from the mental error. Drafted in the second round out of Missouri, Burden III recorded 61 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games for the Tigers last season. He's expected to take over for the departed Keenan Allen as the Bears' primary slot receiver this season, so he must get up to speed quickly in training camp. Burden III will have plenty of competition for targets in Chicago. Wide receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze figure to be ahead of him in the pecking order, and tight ends Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland might be as well.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Diontae Johnson has "mostly played with the second and third offensive units" in training camp practices, according to Zak Jackson of The Athletic. Jackson writes that Johnson may be competing with second-year wideout Jamari Thrash for the primary slot receiver role, or "even for a roster spot." In 12 games last season split between the Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens, and Houston Texans, Johnson recorded 33 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns. The 29-year-old has significantly more NFL production under his belt than Thrash, who had just three catches in nine games for Cleveland as a rookie in 2024. Johnson had been a useful fantasy player for most of his career up until 2024, but it appears he has some work to do just to make the Browns roster heading into 2025.

New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins (undisclosed) has been activated off the active/physically unable to perform list and is participating in the team's training camp practice on Thursday, according to Doug Kyed of The Boston Herald. Hollins missed the beginning part of training camp with an undisclosed ailment. In 17 games last season with the Buffalo Bills, Hollins recorded 31 catches for 378 yards and five touchdowns. The soon-to-be 32-year-old has been known primarily for his work as a blocker and special teamer, but he's shown the ability to win down the field as a receiver at certain points in his career. Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas appear locked in as New England's top two receivers, so Hollins joins a crowded WR3 competition that includes Kyle Williams, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Javon Baker, and Ja'Lynn Polk.

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen has been "one of the stars of camp so far," and the Jets are "going to have a hard time keeping Allen off the field," according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. A fourth-round pick in 2024 out of Wisconsin, Allen rushed for 334 yards and two touchdowns on 92 carries as a rookie. He's the nominal backup to Breece Hall in New York, but there's been steady buzz coming out of Jets' camp that the two backs will share the workload fairly evenly. Rosenblatt notes that Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has "made it a point" to talk up Hall's receiving ability, which could point to more third-down work for Hall and early-down work for Allen. There's a significant difference in where the two Jets backs are being drafted by fantasy managers, so Allen could end up being a steal if New York does indeed opt for more of a 50/50 split.

Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason looks explosive and "built" in training camp, according to Sean Borman of Vikings Territory. A free-agent addition by Minnesota this past offseason, Mason logged 153 carries for 789 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games for the San Francisco 49ers in 2024. He's expected to work in a timeshare with veteran Aaron Jones in the Vikings' backfield in 2025. Mason has historically struggled as a pass-catcher (14 career receptions), but he's been a highly efficient rusher (5.3 rushing yards per attempt on 236 career carries). That could make him the ideal complement for the 30-year-old Jones, who is an excellent receiver out of the backfield but may not be able to handle a large workload as a rusher at this point in his career.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten (hamstring) participated in positional drills but not in the team portions of Jacksonville's training camp practice on Thursday, according to ESPN's Mia O'Brien. Tuten had missed the last few days of practice with a hamstring injury, but it appears as though it will not cause him to miss significant time. Drafted in the fourth round out of Virginia Tech, Tuten rushed for 1,159 yards and 15 touchdowns in 11 games last season for the Hokies. He's competing with Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby for playing time in the Jaguars' backfield, but early reporting indicates that Tuten is the clear RB3 in Jacksonville at this point.

Washington Commanders rookie wide receiver Jaylin Lane has been seeing time with the first team during the early stages of training camp. According to Lynell Willingham of 1067 The Fan, the rookie out of Virginia Tech was being used as a decoy on a jet sweep during Thursday's practice session. The Commanders selected the wide receiver in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 128th overall pick. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he may be pushed back to a reserve role once Terry McLaurin and the team resolve their contract dispute. During the past two seasons at Virginia Tech, Lane averaged 585 scrimmage yards per season and scored 10 total touchdowns. If Lane were to continue to impress, he could eventually jump Noah Brown and Luke McCaffrey on the depth chart. For now, he remains a stash option in deeper dynasty leagues.

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (shoulder) is expected to practice on Thursday. However, the former LSU standout could potentially be limited at times during the session. Head coach Brian Daboll said, "We'll put him out there and he'll do what he can do," and that the team "has a plan." Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status in case he faces a setback later in training camp. Nabers left Tuesday's practice session early due to this shoulder injury. However, seeing him cleared to return in any capacity is a very positive sign. During his rookie season, the former sixth overall pick immediately flashed immense upside at the NFL level, tallying 1,204 yards and seven scores. He should be viewed as a high-end WR1 in all formats, entering the 2025 season.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been one of the top performers in training camp, according to the Miami Herald's Omar Kelly, who calls Waddle the "new top dawg." Since Tyreek Hill (wrist) is working his way back after two offseason surgeries, Waddle has taken advantage of his chance to work with Tua Tagovailoa. Tua said that he and Waddle have grown their chemistry, and coach Mike McDaniel has pointed to Waddle's offseason work as exemplary. If Waddle can pass Hill for more looks and opportunities in the Dolphins' passing game, he could end up being a top-10 receiver in fantasy football. He has an extremely high ceiling, and brings the potential to be a "top dawg" for your fantasy team this season as well.

Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins continues to impress in his rookie training camp, and on Wednesday, veteran safety Jalen Pitre called Higgins a "smooth receiver that has all the routes." The Texans drafted Higgins near the top of the second round and gave him the first-ever fully guaranteed contract for a second-round pick. Higgins could challenge offseason addition Christian Kirk for the team's second receiver spot behind Nico Collins if he continues to trend upwards through camp and preseason. With Tank Dell (leg) sidelined, Higgins should have a chance to establish himself on the outside when Kirk moves to the slot. He's definitely a rookie receiver with enough upside to try and snag in your fantasy football drafts as a value pick with a high ceiling.

Las Vegas Raiders left tackle Kolton Miller is the longest-tenured member of the Raiders, and he isn't going anywhere for a while after agreeing to a three-year contract extension worth $66 million, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Miller originally joined the team as the No. 15 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and was entering the final year of his contract before getting this new deal. He skipped the voluntary portion of the offseason program but reported to training camp and has been present for all mandatory work. This new deal establishes him as a veteran leader on the offensive line for years to come, and he'll be a key part of the team's new direction under coach Pete Carroll and GM John Spytek, who have been going younger across the board but keeping some key experience in place as well.

Free agent tight end Noah Fant will sign with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. Fant was a first-round pick out of Iowa in 2019 by the Broncos, who included him in the trade for Russell Wilson. Fant spent last season with the Seahawks, catching 48 of his 64 targets for 500 yards and a touchdown. He was a cap casualty earlier this offseason, though, and became a free agent. He visited the Dolphins and Saints along with the Bengals, but he will now join a stacked Cincinnati offense that will likely feature both him and Mike Gesicki at tight end, along with wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as top pass-catchers for quarterback Joe Burrow. Fant's target share is a little uncertain, which keeps him from being a starter in standard leagues, but he's a solid depth option with some breakout potential, depending on how he gels with his new squad.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson could have his potential fantasy upside capped by limited playing time since he has been struggling in pass protection. Johnson has had a few impressive practices for the Steelers since they drafted him in the third round, and the team even listed him as a co-starter alongside Jaylen Warren. However, he was regularly beaten badly in Mike Tomlin's "Backs on Backers" drills, and his fantasy upside could be reduced if he can't stay on the field in passing situations. He wasn't especially strong in pass protection at Iowa, and he still has a lot of room for improvement based on these early returns. Jaylen Samuels and Kenneth Gainwell are much more proven and trusted pass protectors, which could give them the advantage in playing time since the team will be very careful with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Johnson still has time to improve before Week 1, but it could definitely reduce his role in the timeshare if he continues to struggle in pass protection.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has been a stud when healthy. However, the biggest problem has been keeping Walker on the field. He missed six games last year and only played 15 games in each of his first two seasons. The good news is, Walker is healthy coming into camp and has looked explosive on the field so far. New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has vowed to run the ball more this upcoming season. That being said, Walker figures to see a heavy workload in his walk year. When healthy, Walker can easily be a 1,000-yard running back, so hopefully the injuries are behind him. It looks like he's going to get a heavy workload, but fantasy managers know the risk when drafting Walker.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange is currently operating as the starter in this offense. The Jags don't have a ton of viable options at tight end right now after the departure of Evan Engram this offseason. It's also worth noting that the Jags have a few tight ends banged up, so Strange has stepped up as the clear TE1 in Jacksonville. He's coming off a sophomore season where he recorded 40 receptions for 411 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in 17 games last season. The expectation is that those numbers will be on the rise with him likely serving as the primary tight end.

Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell is unlikely to move very far up the depth chart during training camp. Recently, Ravens' offensive coordinator Todd Monken said Mitchell would be fighting for touches as the third back. He's not wrong as Derrick Henry is going to be the workhorse back with Justice Hill being able to run and catch passes in the backfield. However, Mitchell has looked explosive in camp, according to Monken. He's making some impressive plays in camp that might earn him more playing time in Baltimore. It's possible Mitchell cuts into Hill's playing time, but it probably won't be enough to warrant rostering Mitchell on a weekly basis.
