Indianapolis Colts wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. (undisclosed) and Josh Downs (hamstring) are both out of training camp practice on Tuesday, according to James Boyd of The Athletic. Pittman appears to be dealing with a minor undisclosed ailment after making his preseason debut on Saturday against the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, Downs has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in last Thursday's practice. Pittman should be good to go by the Week 1 regular-season opener, but Downs' timeline is a little more unclear. Indy's announcement on Tuesday that Daniel Jones will open the year as the starting QB is good news for all of the Colts' pass-catchers. Pittman had 808 receiving yards and only three touchdowns on 69 catches last year and will face more competition for targets from Downs, Adonai Mitchell and rookie tight end Tyler Warren.

Dynasty | The Bucs have placed wide receiver Jalen McMillan on injured reserve. Dynasty Analysis: A severe neck strain is apparently going to wipe out close to half of his season. With Chris Godwin still coming back, this is going to open the door for Emeka Egbuka to have a massive role early on. It's also a tough break for McMillan who looks like a player who is going to tumble down the depth chart, despite a pretty solid pedigree. Now lost in the shuffle in Tampa, it's hard not to believe his ADP is going to start to tumble and he may actually see the waiver wires in some leagues.
Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan (neck) could be out through the team's Week 9 bye, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. McMillan will be placed on Injured Reserve with a "severely sprained neck" that he suffered in the second preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend. The Bucs still feel fortunate that his injury wsn't worse. It's tough news for McMillan and more bad news for the team's receiver depth with Chris Godwin (ankle) potentially starting the year on the PUP list and missing the first four games of the season. With the 23-year-old McMillan now potentially missing over half of the 2025 campaign, rookie first-round receiver Emeka Egbuka's fantasy value will skyrocket. Egbuka should be Tampa's WR2 behind Mike Evans if Godwin isn't ready.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) is practicing again on Tuesday, according to Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Stafford practiced for the first time at training camp this summer on Monday after recovering from an aggravated disc in his back. The 37-year-old was extremely limited and made only around 20 throws on Monday as the Rams ease him back in. Head coach Sean McVay said Stafford's workload is "a very fluid situation and demands flexibility." He almost certainly won't play in the preseason finale this Saturday against the Cleveland Browns, but the plan is to have him "upright" for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sept. 7 against the Houston Texans. The Rams have been optimistic all along that Stafford will be ready for Week 1, although it sounds like he may not be 100%, making him an even riskier low-end QB2 selection in superflex fantasy leagues.

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo (hamstring) will return to the practice field at training camp on Tuesday, according to Newsday's Evan Barnes. Skattebo will most likely be limited in practice after his hamstring injury forced him to miss the first two presason games. It remains to be seen if the 23-year-old fourth-rounder will be able to play in the preseason finale on Thursday against the New York Giants. While the Arizona State product should have a role in the Giants' offense in his first NFL season, the missed practice time this summer means he has plenty of work to do to prove to the coaching staff that he deserves to be involved alongside Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary. Skattebo isn't fast, but he excels with power and explosiveness. He should eventually become New York's RB2 and is worth a fantasy draft pick as an RB3/flex.

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (undisclosed) returned to training camp practice on Tuesday, according to Colton Pouncy of The Athletic. LaPorta has been held out of practices recently with a minor undisclosed issue, but it was never considered serious. It's unclear if he'll make his debut this preseason in the finale on Saturday against the Houston Texans. The 24-year-old former second-rounder (34th overall) in 2023 out of Iowa put himself on the fantasy map right away in his rookie campaign with an 86-889-10 line in 17 games (14 starts). He took a slight step backwards in his sophomore season with a 60-726-7 line in 16 regular-season starts. LaPorta has plenty of competition in a still stacked Lions offense which will be run by new offensive coordinator John Morton. However, in one of the top offenses in the league, LaPorta should be considered a top-five fantasy TE.

Dynasty | Commanders rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt had 46 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in Washington's second preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: "Bill" has quickly risen up the depth chart and has made a strong case to be part of the Washington offense early this season. With Brian Robinson apparently on the outs, he's going to clearly have a chance to do just that. One of our favorite sleepers all Summer, Croskey-Merritt is going to likely end up in a backfield mix that includes Austin Ekeler and Chris Rodriguez. The chance to add him in dynasty leagues has likely passed and he's looking like the early favorite for "late round steal" in previously held rookie drafts.
Dynasty | The Colts will start Daniel Jones at quarterback in week one. Dynasty Analysis: Jones hasn't exactly set the world on fire this off-season but he apparently did enough to earn the confidence of the coaching staff. At this point in his career, Jones is what he is - a quarterback who can turn in some huge statistical performances but also one who is prone for some really bad days as well. In the end, this development will put him back on the dynasty radar as a QB2 and see his ADP start to rise again as he's somehow maneuvered his way back into the elite club of starting quarterbacks in the NFL.
Dynasty | Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will be the backup to Daniel Jones to start the season. Dynasty Analysis: Yikes. The Colts drafted him with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, based on some tantalizing physical skills but also with a real lack of experience. Unfortunately, that lack of experience and his lack of availability (he's played 15 games in two years) has resulted in a lack of trust within the organization after just two seasons. While Daniel Jones is unlikely to flourish in the starter's role and completely close the door on Richardson, this is going to take his ADP and put it into a major tailspin.
Dynasty | If the Commanders cannot find a trade partner, running back Brian Robinson could be cut. Dynasty Analysis: This is the strongest report we've seen indicating Robinson is done with the Commanders. It's a stunning turn of events as he's been productive during his time, but it's also clear Washington simply believes the other running backs they have fit their offense better. Robinson is likely being shopped around the league and if the Commanders can't find a suitor, it seems they're now willing to just release the veteran runner. Robinson will find a home soon enough if this bridge is truly burned, but his ADP is in flux as draft season comes to a close.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (back, shoulder, toe) will return to practice on Tuesday and do some things, according to Evan Barnes of Newsday. It sounds as though Nabers will be pretty limited in his return to the practice field, but it's still good news for the 22-year-old with the 2025 regular season quickly approaching. Nabers has been battling a toe injury since his college days at LSU, and he also suffered a shoulder injury this summer before recently coming down with a back issue. While it's certainly something to watch, none of his three injuries are considered serious or anything that will keep him from suiting up for Week 1 of the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 7, against the division-rival Washington Commanders. Nabers caught an impressive 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie and is strong WR1 target in fantasy.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that tight end Tommy Tremble (back) is on track to play in the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7, against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tremble is recovering from back surgery that he had in May and is on track to get back on the field soon, but he will not play in the team's preseason finale on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 25-year-old remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list but should come off of it and be available in Week 1. When fully healthy, Tremble should be on the field often for Carolina, although he doesn't have much fantasy appeal as a blocking-first TE. Ja'Tavion Sanders is most likely to see most of the aerial targets in the Panthers offense from quarterback Bryce Young. Tremble had a career-high 234 receiving yards last year and has never scored more than three TDs in a single season.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that backup quarterback Malik Willis will play in the preseason finale on Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks. The Packers also plan on playing some or most of their starters, at least for a little bit. We would be surprised if starting QB Jordan Love (thumb) plays this weekend after having a minor surgery on his left (non-throwing) thumb last week. The 26-year-old Willis went 6-for-14 for 83 yards on the first three possessions of the second preseason game last weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. Love is fully expected to be ready for the Week 1 regular-season opener in early September, so Willis is primed to open the season as Green Bay's backup signal-caller. The former third-rounder by the Tennessee Titans in 2022 played in seven games in his first year with the Packers in 2024 and led the team to two wins with Love sidelined by injury.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown (lower body) was a full practice participant at training camp on Tuesday after he was held out of the team's second preseason game on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints with stiffness in his lower body, according to Mia O'Brien. First-round receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter (upper body) also missed Sunday's exhibition contest and is day-to-day. Jacksonville's receiving corps is a little banged up, but Brown's and Hunter's injuries aren't serious enough to put them in danger of missing Week 1 of the regular season. The 25-year-old Brown has made some noise in camp this summer as he battles for the WR3 role with Parker Washington behind Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. He had a career-best 308 receiving yards and one touchdown in 16 games for the Commanders in 2024, but Brown will be left to the waiver wire in most 12-team fantasy formats.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (undisclosed) is dealing with some undisclosed soreness and will sit out of training camp practice on Tuesday, according to Paul Kuharsky. Ridley should be back on the practice field at some point this week, but the Titans are just giving their star wideout a little rest for the final week before the regular season kicks off. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried. The 30-year-old caught 64 of his 120 targets for 1,017 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games (14 starts) in his first year in Tennessee last year. It was Ridley's second straight 1,000-yard season. While he will surely be the top aerial target again for the Titans in 2025, fantasy managers will want to temper expectations since he'll be working with rookie quarterback Cameron Ward. Ridley is a volume-based WR3/flex for fantasy.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie two-way player Travis Hunter (upper body) is being listed as day-to-day, according to Mia O'Brien. Head coach Liam Coen said the goal is to have Hunter available to play receiver and defensive back for a joint practice on Thursday against the Miami Dolphins, so the team will make a "smart decision" with regards to his practice availability on Wednesday. Don't be surprised if the Jags keep the 22-year-old Heisman Trophy winner out until later this week. Hunter did not play in the second preseason game on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints after he saw work with the first-team offense and second-team defense in the preseason opener. His injury isn't considered serious, so he should be ready for the Week 1 regular-season opener. Hunter playing both sides of the ball makes him a boom/bust WR3/flex target in upcoming fantasy drafts.
From RotoBaller
Dynasty | Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez had 62 rushing yards on six carries in Monday's preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: With Brian Robinson apparently on the outs, Rodriguez started the game and proceeded to rip off a 40-yard carry on the game's first drive. Robinson is likely to be traded in the coming days and Rodriguez certainly stated a strong case to be part of the mix. While the Commanders are likely to go with some kind of rotation featuring Rodriguez, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Austin Ekeler, Rodriguez undoubtedly needs to be rostered in dynasty leagues.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (oblique) did side work on the JUGS machine but was not a participant during the team's practice on Tuesday, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. Hill's oblique injury is not expected to threaten his availability for the start of the regular season. The 31-year-old has not had the greatest training camp as he looks to rebound from a down 2024 season. In addition to injury, Hill's chemistry with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has reportedly been suspect. Hill profiles as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy, but one with significant variance in his possible outcomes. If Hill rediscovers his prior form, he could smash his ADP. However, if Miami's offense struggles or Hill deals with injuries and/or age-related decline, he could be a massive bust.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (groin) will not practice on Tuesday, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer. The severity of Smith's injury is unclear, but it's a potentially worrying sign for Philadelphia, given that they are also currently without star wideout A.J. Brown (hamstring). The Eagles made a trade to acquire wide receiver John Metchie III from the Houston Texans on Monday, which could indicate that the team is at least somewhat concerned about its depth at the position. If Smith and/or Brown were to miss time, Metchie III and Jahan Dotson would likely be heavily relied upon. Assuming Smith's groin injury is minor, he profiles as a high-end WR3 whose value would skyrocket if Brown were to remain sidelined for a significant stretch.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (groin) will practice in a limited capacity on Tuesday due to a groin injury, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Goedert is a new addition to the team's injury report. Missed time has been a consistent issue for Goedert throughout his career, as he's missed at least three games in four out of his last five seasons. The 30-year-old is an efficient receiving tight end who typically does not see many targets in the Eagles' run-heavy offense. However, Goedert could be a great value early in the season if current injuries to A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (groin) keep the Eagles' top two wide receivers sidelined for a significant stretch.
