Aaron Rodgers Sep 18 5:40pm CT
    Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 343 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception through the first two games of the season but has yet to throw for more than 176 passing yards in a contest. He will look to change that at home against the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game. The Patriots have been tough against opposing quarterbacks through two games, having allowed just one passing touchdown thus far. That being said, Rodgers is a talented enough quarterback to overcome difficult matchups but he still settles in as a mid-range QB2 heading into Week 3.

Aaron Jones Sep 18 5:40pm CT
    Aaron Jones

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (hip) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Jones had a solid debut with the Vikings in Week 1 but was less effective in Week 2. He has 126 rushing yards and a touchdown to go along with seven receptions for 51 yards through two games. Jones has been dominant in his snap share over second-year running back Ty Chandler which should continue in Week 3. The hip injury is new. However, given that Jones was able to practice in some capacity on Wednesday, the alarm for fantasy managers should not be too high just yet.

Breece Hall Sep 18 5:40pm CT
    Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall found the end zone for the second straight game in a Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans. He will look to extend that streak at home against the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game. Hall will have his work cut out for him against the Pats as their defense is allowing the 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to fantasy running backs through the first two weeks of the season. They have yet to allow a running back to top 44 rushing yards against them, although they have allowed two rushing touchdowns thus far. Hall has been productive in the passing game this season with 12 catches for 91 yards and has shown a nose for the end zone thus far, making him a high-end RB1 heading into Week 3.

Nico Collins Sep 18 5:30pm CT
    Nico Collins

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hip/foot) did not practice on Wednesday. The lack of practice is worrisome considering there was no sign of injury during the Texans' Week 2 game against the Chicago Bears. It is possible that the lack of practice is more maintenance-related. Fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on Collins' practice activity throughout the week. Collins has been a stud thus far in 2024. He leads the league with 252 receiving yards and has scored one touchdown. He has been every bit the player that fantasy managers wanted coming into this season. If Collins were to miss time, then wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell would see a massive uptick in opportunities.

    From RotoBaller

Dameon Pierce Sep 18 5:30pm CT
    Dameon Pierce

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. The Texans are relatively banged up after their Week 2 game against the Chicago Bears. Starting running back Joe Mixon (ankle) was also a non-participant. Pierce already missed Week 2 after recording three carries for 16 yards in Week 1. He appears to be in danger of missing Week 3. If Mixon cannot go or is limited, the Texans will need to find depth at the running back position. Cam Akers appears to be next in line for increased opportunities. For now, fantasy managers should keep an eye on this situation.

    A.J. Brown Sep 18 5:20pm CT
    A.J. Brown

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Brown picked up the injury during practice ahead of the Eagles' Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He has previously stated that the injury would likely cost him "a couple of weeks". As such, the lack of practice activity comes as no surprise. Unless Brown can ramp up his activity later in the week, it would appear that he is in line to miss his second game in a row. Hopefully, Brown's injury does not drag out too long. He was his usual self in Week 1 on his way to five receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown. Fantasy managers will be eager to get that kind of production back.

    From RotoBaller

    Amon-Ra St. Brown Sep 18 5:10pm CT
    Amon-Ra St. Brown

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. St. Brown injured his leg during the Lions' Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury was never considered serious, and it is great to see that St. Brown should not carry any question marks into the weekend. St. Brown has 14 receptions for 132 yards thus far this season. The Lions' passing offense has struggled to fully get going after an incredible 2023 season. With St. Brown not slated to miss any time, hopefully the passing offense can get back on track this weekend.

    From RotoBaller

    Ja'Lynn Polk Sep 18 5:00pm CT
    Ja'Lynn Polk

New England Patriots wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk managed to out-snap Demario Douglas last Sunday, but the rookie still lacks reliability heading into Week 3 against the New York Jets. He only got onto the fantasy radar last week because of a touchdown. If not for finding the end zone, he would have had just two catches for 12 yards, which is not starter-worthy production in most fantasy leagues. Given the Patriots' apparent disinterest in throwing the football often, Polk will remain a player whose fantasy value hinges on finding the end zone. With the Patriots' offense not a threat to score major points this year, even touchdowns may be hard to come by, leaving Polk off the radar in most leagues. If you are forced to start him in deeper leagues, know that he's merely a dart throw this week.

CeeDee Lamb Sep 18 4:40pm CT
    CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, according to Patrik Walker. However, this injury is not viewed as a serious concern and the star wideout is on track to start in their Week 3 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the Dallas practice report in case the 25-year-old has a further setback. After catching five passes for 61 yards in the season opener, Lamb enjoyed an excellent game on Sunday as he tallied 90 yards and a score against the New Orleans Saints. Lamb should be locked into all starting lineups and viewed as a high-end WR1 for the remainder of the season.

    From RotoBaller

Demario Douglas Sep 18 4:40pm CT
    Demario Douglas

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas has been a massive disappointment this fantasy football season and should be avoided in fantasy leagues until further notice. That includes this week when the Patriots play the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. Douglas has just two catches this year, and he was out-snapped by both K.J. Osborn and Ja'Lynn Polk last Sunday. With his role apparently shrinking and passing volume coming at a premium in this Patriots offense, Douglas is avoidable in just about every fantasy league. He belongs on the bench or even on waivers for Week 3 against the Jets.

    From RotoBaller

Quintez Cephus Sep 18 4:30pm CT
    Quintez Cephus

The Los Angeles Rams have signed wide receiver Quintez Cephus to their practice squad amid injuries to their top two receivers, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. Cephus hasn't played in an NFL regular-season game since 2022, when he was with the Detroit Lions. The Rams' passing game struggled in Week 2 against the Cardinals, mainly after Cooper Kupp exited the game. Their current wide receiver group consists of Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Jordan Whittington, and Tutu Atwell. The Rams did not place Kupp on injured reserve, indicating they expect him back within the nefew of weeks. Cephus is a depth move, and fantasy managers do not need to consider adding him to their rosters ahead of this week's matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

    From RotoBaller

Jake Ferguson Sep 18 4:30pm CT
    Jake Ferguson

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson (knee) was seen at practice today and participated in a limited capacity. This is a great sign for the 25-year-old who missed last week's game due to an MCL sprain. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Ferguson's status heading into the weekend, but this is a promising sign that the Wisconsin product could return to the field on Sunday. In the season opener, Ferguson caught only three of his five targets for a mere 15 yards. However, he was a focal point of the Dallas offense last season and should be started in all standard leagues if he suits up. If Ferguson misses Sunday's game, Luke Schoonmaker will once again slot in as the No.1 tight end in Dallas and could be a solid TE2 given the six targets he saw in Week 2.

    From RotoBaller

Talanoa Hufanga Sep 18 4:20pm CT
    Talanoa Hufanga

San Francisco 49ers All-Pro safety Talanoa Hufanga (knee) is set to be a full participant in practice this week and is expected to make his season debut against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said, "He should get back this week if everything goes right, and we've missed him." The 49ers defense had a strong outing in Week 1 against the Jets but struggled in Week 2 against the Vikings, allowing 268 yards and two touchdowns through the air. With Hufanga returning to the lineup, the 49ers defense remains a must-play in fantasy, especially against an injury-riddled Rams offense in Week 3.

    From RotoBaller

Hunter Henry Sep 18 4:20pm CT
    Hunter Henry

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry's strong Week 2 showing has thrust him back into fantasy consideration for Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets. After a quiet season opener, he bounced back with one of the best games of his career last week, catching eight of 12 targets for 109 yards. He didn't find the end zone, but more importantly, he showed off a spectacular rapport with quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Henry might not be able to replicate his Week 2 stat line in Week 3, but he should at least perform enough to stay on the fantasy radar, especially against a Jets defense allowing the 11th-most receptions to tight ends so far. He ranks as a fringe TE1 option heading into Thursday's primetime AFC East showdown.

    From RotoBaller

Russell Wilson Sep 18 4:10pm CT
    Russell Wilson

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson (calf) was limited in Wednesday's practice. After signing Wilson this offseason, all indications were that he would be Pittsburgh's Week 1 starter, despite the team's decision to trade for Justin Fields. However, Wilson has been sidelined to start the season with a calf injury and has yet to make his Steelers debut. The Steelers have already announced that Fields will start in the Week 3 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers. Still, they remain committed to evaluating the quarterback situation on a week-to-week basis. Fields remains a fringe fantasy starter, even with Wilson seemingly nearing a return.

    From RotoBaller

Deebo Samuel Sep 18 4:10pm CT
    Deebo Samuel

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) will not practice Wednesday after suffering a calf strain in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. Despite the injury, Samuel had a solid Week 2 performance, recording eight catches for 110 yards. While reports suggest Samuel could miss multiple weeks, no official word has been given, and the team has yet to place him on injured reserve. All signs point to Samuel missing the Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, with his status listed as doubtful. In his absence, fantasy managers can consider 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings as a potential streaming option for Week 3.

    From RotoBaller

Tyjae Spears Sep 18 4:10pm CT
    Tyjae Spears

Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears (ankle) was not seen at practice on Wednesday, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN Radio. The 23-year-old suffered an ankle injury during Week 2 and was forced to exit the game early. Earlier this week, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that the injury did not seem serious. For now, fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status before their weekend matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Through the early part of the season, Spears has taken a backseat in the Tennessee backfield, while Tony Pollard has seen the majority of opportunities. Spears should be considered a low-end flex play if he suits up on Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

Cooper Kupp Sep 18 4:00pm CT
    Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) is not expected to go on injured reserve after sustaining an ankle injury during the Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Kupp injured his ankle when a defender landed on him during a tackle late in the second quarter, forcing him to hobble off the field. He was later seen leaving the stadium in a walking boot. While this is positive news, as earlier rumors suggested Kupp could miss extended time, his status for Sunday's game against the 49ers remains doubtful. With Puka Nacua and Kupp likely to be sidelined, Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson emerge as quarterback Matthew Stafford's top targets for Week 3 against San Francisco.

    From RotoBaller

Bryce Young Sep 18 3:50pm CT
    Bryce Young

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales addressed rumors of a potential trade involving quarterback Bryce Young, stating, "That's not something we're really considering. We have a great situation with our quarterbacks right now." Earlier this week, Canales announced that the Panthers would be benching Young in favor of veteran Andy Dalton, sparking speculation that teams might reach out to inquire about a trade. Canales put those rumors to rest today. The Panthers have a road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, who recently upset the Ravens in Baltimore. For now, neither Panthers quarterback should be considered in Week 3 for fantasy purposes.

    From RotoBaller

Jacoby Brissett Sep 18 3:50pm CT
    Jacoby Brissett

New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett can be avoided in most fantasy leagues ahead of Week 3 versus the New York Jets. Brissett has been solid so far, playing turnover-free football while leading the Patriots to a 1-1 record. However, he has limited rushing upside and the Patriots simply don't pass enough to get Brissett's stats to a fantasy-relevant level of production. He's had under 150 passing yards in each of his two games so far this season, and he's only thrown for one touchdown. The veteran quarterback has earned trust within the New England offense, but not in fantasy football. He can be left on waivers in 1QB leagues and benched in most 2QB formats.
