Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba reeled in four of four targets for 74 yards in Seattle's win over the New York Jets in Week 13. Smith-Njigba also rushed the ball once for five yards. Smith-Njigba caught a couple of long passes that boosted his value as he had a quiet day relative to his recent outings. He paced the Seahawks in receiving yards but was tied for second on the team in targets. Considering that the Jets have a solid passing defense, Smith-Njigba's outing was solid. He did not have an excellent game, but he did not sink your team either. He continues to be an incredibly important cog in the Seahawks' passing offense. The involvement of Smith-Njigba in the offense should only continue to grow and develop over the next few weeks of the season. The Seahawks have certainly consolidated their targets between him and wide receiver DK Metcalf as they attempt to make a run at the NFC West title. Look for Smith-Njigba to bounce back in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals whom he just torched for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 12.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught five of his 12 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. Adams led the Jets in receiving yards and targets while coming down with an eight-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. The veteran wideout has found his stride for the Jets of late, catching 24 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns over his past four contests. Meanwhile, fellow star wideout Garrett Wilson has now failed to top 41 receiving yards in three straight contests. Adams will look to stay hot in Week 14's divisional matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf caught four of nine targets for 66 yards in Week 13 against the New York Jets. Metcalf was heavily targeted in this game, especially in the second half. However, the Jets blanket defense limited Metcalf's fantasy production. Metcalf has now struggled in three straight games since returning from his MCL sprain. He has not been terrible, but he has not delivered much better than flex value. Touchdowns are notably missing from Metcalf's box scores. He has not scored since Week 7, and he has not reached 100 receiving yards since Week 4. Metcalf appears to be healthy, but he has not enjoyed the same chemistry with quarterback Geno Smith that he did early in the season. Metcalf will look to get back to form in Week 14 when Seattle visits the Arizona Cardinals. He should get back to his WR2 status at some point this season.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith threw for 206 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 13 win over the New York Jets. The Jets put Smith on the run all day and he was sacked three times. Despite the pressure, Smith did not turn the ball over or have any blatant turnover-worthy plays throughout the game. Smith did not use his legs much in this game either, which limited his fantasy production. With the Seahawks playing a solid passing defense in the Jets, Smith had a solid game all things considered. He was not considered a good streaming option coming into this week, but his positive outing was encouraging. Smith has a chance to ascend in a big way in Week 14 against the Cardinals. The Cardinals have improved defensively this season, but they are not on New York's level in that department. Smith is playing with confidence and a full complement of wide receivers. If he can get back on the same page with wide receiver DK Metcalf, Smith should continue his solid season down the stretch run of the fantasy football playoffs.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III was highly inefficient in Week 13 against the New York Jets. Walker received another full complement of 16 carries in this game, but he only averaged 3.1 yards per carry. Walker ended up with a dud of a fantasy football day because he only caught two passes for -3 yards. Walker has been relatively inefficient over the last several weeks despite the Seahawks attempt to commit to the run more heavily. His passing game usage had kept him in the RB2 conversation, so his Week 13 output is that much more disappointing. To make matters worse, back up running back Zach Charbonnet ran for 28 yards on just four carries. Charbonnet also scored the team's lone rushing touchdown in Week 13. Charbonnet's solid outing does not signal a changing of the guard by any means. However, the Seahawks need to find a way to get Walker going in the running game. He will look to recover from this poor outing in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin caught four of his five targets for 32 yards in a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. Conklin wound up finishing third on the Jets in targets, catches, and receiving yards in the close loss to Seattle. It was the veteran's first productive game in over a month as he had caught just six passes for 54 yards in his previous four games. Conklin will look to build upon this performance in Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Chris Conley (knee) will play on Sunday night in Buffalo. The wideout was limited in practice all week, resulting in a questionable designation. With Brandon Aiyuk (knee) sidelined, others had a chance to step up. However, Conley hasn't done anything of relevance this season, catching only one pass (seven targets) for four yards. Without question, he shouldn't be starting in any fantasy lineup. In fact, Conley shouldn't even be on fantasy rosters.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard was a non-factor for the most part in Week 13, as the Titans fell behind big early to the Commanders in Washington, D.C. Pollard totaled just 35 rushing yards on his eight carries and had a costly early fumble while the Commanders built their 28-0 first-half lead. He did save some value by catching 4-of-6 targets for 33 receiving yards, but it was a big letdown after last week's game with 100+ yards and a rushing touchdown. Despite the down game, Pollard will be in a good spot to get back in the groove as the Titans host the Jaguars in Week 13. He'll be a solid RB2 with RB1 upside in that bounce-back spot next week.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker K.J. Britt (ankle) and safety Mike Edwards won't return to Sunday's matchup with the Panthers. Britt has been one of the Bucs' most reliable defenders all year, while Edwards has appeared in only one game for Tampa this season. However, with so many injuries on the defensive side of the ball for the Buccaneers, the team can't afford any more losses. Both will likely need further testing, so it's unknown if they will play in Week 14 versus the Raiders. If not, Anthony Nelson and J.J. Russell should benefit, with Tampa potentially needing to move things around to fill the void left by Edwards' possible absence.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis attempted a season-high 37 passes in Sunday's 42-19 defeat to the Washington Commanders. The Titans fell behind, 28-0, before Levis threw a touchdown just before halftime. He completed 18-of-37 (48%) of his passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns and had no turnovers. The former second-round pick also lost three yards on two rushing attempts. Levis and the Titans slid to (3-9) with the bad loss, but they do have a very favorable schedule ahead. With six teams on byes next week, Levis will be a solid QB2 against Jacksonville at home in Week 14 after throwing multiple touchdowns in three of his last four games.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers running back Brock Purdy (shoulder) will play in Sunday's matchup versus the Bills. The signal-caller missed the Week 12 meeting with the Green Bay Packers. However, after practicing in full on Friday, he'll shed his questionable designation and be out there in Week 14. Purdy is a capable fantasy quarterback. But with unfavorable weather conditions in Buffalo, he could have a tough time getting anything going, meaning both teams may need to rely more on the run.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught five of his 10 targets for 41 yards in a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. Wilson turned in an inefficient game, mustering less than 42 yards for the third straight game despite drawing 10 targets in the contest. The third-year wideout has slowly been overtaken by Davante Adams in the Jets offense, posting 14 catches for just 100 yards and no touchdowns over his past three games while Adams has racked up a 17-169-1 line over that same span. Wilson is looking like a low-end WR2 for the remainder of the season.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (knee) exited Sunday's meeting with the Los Angeles Rams. He is doubtful to return, although it's likely he won't be back. The veteran was all over the place in this one, catching five passes for 37 yards and rushing for 10 yards off five carries. Unfortunately, he took a hard hit late in the fourth quarter and needed to be carted off the field. Without question, fantasy managers are hoping the injury isn't anything serious, especially since Hill has missed time already this season. He'll likely undergo further testing, so an update should be coming soon. But since Hill does so much on the offensive end, everyone on that side of the ball could benefit from his absence.
From RotoBaller
The Pittsburgh Steelers' defense surrendered 32 points to the Cincinnati Bengals but recorded four sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception, and a defensive touchdown in a 44-38 victory. Although Cincinnati had no issues moving the ball and scoring on Sunday, Pittsburgh's star defensive players stepped up to make plays in crucial moments. T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward combined for three sacks while Payton Wilson and Nick Herbig worked in tandem on the fumble recovery for a touchdown that gave the Steelers a 16-point advantage early in the fourth quarter. The Steelers DST continues to be a reliable fantasy option, even against potent offenses. It can be trusted in fantasy lineups of all shapes and sizes next week against the Cleveland Browns.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets running back Braelon Allen carried the ball five times for 11 yards and added two catches for 16 yards in a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. With Breece Hall nursing a knee injury heading into the game, Allen turned in his most productive game in the passing attack since late September while the normally productive Hall failed to catch his lone target. Allen remains a high-end handcuff in fantasy but he continues to have very little standalone value with Hall active. That being said, he needs to stay rostered in all fantasy leagues in case Hall's knee injury becomes more of an issue late in the season. Allen will take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson caught 3-of-6 targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 23-22 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. It was a quiet day for the Iowa alum, registering his third outing of fewer than 30 receiving yards in his first five games back from injury. Minnesota generally had no issue moving the ball against the Cardinals this afternoon. However, Hockenson wasn't deployed much outside of the short passing game. It's a disappointment for fantasy managers relying on him, though a silver lining is that his target total was tied for second on the team with wide receiver Jordan Addison. He'll look to rebound next week when his team takes on the visiting Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons D is letting up a robust number of yards through the air in 2024 (229.9) and 12.7 fantasy points per game to the TE position.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (knee) won't return to Sunday's game against the Eagles. The 25-year-old entered Week 13 by catching a touchdown in two of the last three games. However, he'll finish this one without making any statistical contributions. Fortunately, the Ravens are off in Week 14, so he'll have more time to recover. But until he's back on the field, Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews should benefit the most.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison brought in 4-of-6 targets for 54 yards in Week 13's 23-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Addison's targets, reception total, and yardage output were all good for second on the team behind superstar wideout Justin Jefferson (7/99). While it wasn't anything eye-popping, it's the second-year WRs fifth straight outing with at least five targets. It will be difficult for him to consistently put together monster stat lines, as he did back in Week 12 (8/162/1). Still, he's a quality WR2 for an NFL squad and should continue to see a good amount of looks while in the lineup. He'll get a soft spot in Week 14 against an Atlanta Falcons defense that allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers (421.6) through 11 games.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets running back Breece Hall carried the ball 12 times for 60 yards and failed to catch his lone target in a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. He also converted a two-point conversion and lost a fumble in the outing. Hall turned in a quiet outing in yet another disappointing loss for the Jets, who led 14-0 after the first quarter. He dealt with a knee injury throughout the week before ultimately taking the field in Week 13, but he surprisingly failed to make an impact in the passing game, an aspect of his game that has carried many of his fantasy performances this season. Hall will look to regroup heading into a Week 14 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
From RotoBaller
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell connected on three of his four field goal attempts and drilled all five of his extra-point tries in a 44-38 victory over the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. Boswell was good from 50, 34, and 30 yards out, but unfortunately had a 42-yard attempt blocked by the Bengals in the third quarter. Still, Boswell was excellent for fantasy purposes as Pittsburgh's offense had no trouble moving the football and managed to find the end zone four times. With how dominant Boswell has been this season, fantasy managers need to keep him locked into starting lineups regardless of his opponent. That said, he'll face a difficult Cleveland Browns defense in Week 14.
