Atlanta Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo hit two fields and an extra point attempt in Week 13, however, a field goal attempt from 35 yards out sailed wide right, marking the sixth field goal he's missed in the last six games. The 30-year-old is now 21-for-29 (72.4%) on the season, although he has yet to miss an extra point (24-for-24). Week 14's matchup with the Vikings has the Falcons as six-point underdogs and if Atlanta plans to win the game, they may not be able to settle for field goals. Still, the Falcons should be able to move the ball through the air, assuming Kirk Cousins remedies his interception issues, but drives may stall when the team has to run the ball down close against one of the toughest run defenses in the league, which could translate to opportunities for Koo. This matchup will also be indoors, so weather shouldn't be a problem. View Koo as a low-end kicker option this week with more reliable options in better situations likely available for the taking on the waiver wire.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram should serve as a safety valve for Mac Jones in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans, despite their 3-9 record, have been good against the pass in fantasy, both against tight ends and wide receivers. However, that shouldn't stop Engram from having a decent day, especially in PPR leagues. Last week against the Houston Texans, Engram produced seven catches for 41 yards. He led the team in receptions but was well behind Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr. in receiving yards. That trend could continue given Engram's role in the offense, making him more touchdown-dependent than usual. The good news is Jones was able to throw two passing touchdowns last week after none in his previous two starts. Engram should be viewed as a low-end TE1 in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 14. The veteran quarterback passed for 306 yards and a touchdown in last week's close victory against another divisional opponent, the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders brought the ball within field goal range and had a chance to take the lead but fumbled a snap in the final minute. The 29-year-old will have a more challenging time producing against the Chargers, who rank ninth in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks this season. The Chargers are currently the fifth seed in the AFC playoff picture, meaning they're a good team and determined to give Kansas City a run for their money. Mahomes only has two games over 20 fantasy points in a four-point per passing touchdown league this season, so he has been disappointing from a ceiling standpoint. That said, Mahomes has managed to stay turnover-free in four of his last five contests and passed for three touchdowns in three of those games. The Chiefs quarterback is ranked QB7 in our RotoBaller rankings this week, making him a mid-tier QB1. Fantasy managers can feel comfortable with Mahomes in their starting lineups, even if he doesn't possess the elite ceiling we've grown accustomed to.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. should continue his underwhelming play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 14. Backup running back Tank Bigsby has been banged up recently but is completely off the injury report and should eat more into Etienne Jr.'s touches this week after a 16-8 touch split last week. While it is reassuring for fantasy managers the 25-year-old back out of Clemson got 16 touches last week, he didn't do enough with those touches producing just 58 total yards. While the Jaguars could run the ball more this week if they get a lead against the 3-9 Titans, Etienne Jr. has failed to be explosive and maximize his opportunities, making him a risky start once again. Especially with Mac Jones under center, Etienne Jr. is a risky flex play at best in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby should fare better in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans than last week. Bigsby has been struggling with injuries but is completely off the injury report this week. He is back to splitting work as the backup for Travis Etienne Jr. after putting up 28 yards on seven carries and seven yards on one reception in Week 13 against the Houston Texans. Etienne Jr. had 16 touches, double that of Bigsby, but given the young back out of Auburn has looked like the more explosive back all season, it is likely that touches even out more this week. The Jaguars could play with a lead more than usual and run the ball more against the Titans, but given the offense's volatility with Mac Jones under center, Bigsby should be viewed as nothing more than a flex option in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. has the same upside that he usually does, but with Mac Jones under center, his floor is lower than usual against the Tennessee Titans. BTJ did have four catches for 76 yards and a touchdown last week against the Houston Texans, but he also had his lowest catch percentage of the season of 40 percent. The rookie isn't on as good of a page with Jones as with Trevor Lawrence, but he at least showed signs of production with Jones in Week 13. Given his big-play ability, it is hard to bench BTJ, but fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Jones can't find BTJ down the field and the offense struggles to move the ball, like against the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. BTJ serves as a boom-or-bust WR2 in Week 14 against the Titans.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones performed well in relief of Trevor Lawrence but could struggle once again in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Despite the Titans being one of the worst teams in the NFL, they have a solid pass defense, meaning they could make things difficult for Jones and the Jaguars passing attack. In just one half last week, Jones finished with 20 completions on 32 attempts for 235 yards and two touchdowns against the Houston Texans, so he at least has a performance that looks much better than his previous two starts against the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings where he combined for 0 touchdowns and three interceptions. Beyond superflex leagues as a low-end QB2, it is difficult to trust Jones in fantasy lineups given fantasy playoffs are on the line in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington will try to match his performance from last week in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. With Gabe Davis and Christian Kirk out for the rest of the season, Washington stepped up in Week 13, producing six catches for 103 yards against the Houston Texans. That came despite Trevor Lawrence leaving the game late in the second quarter with a concussion and Mac Jones taking over. Washington has been limited in practice all week with a shoulder injury but has no injury designation for Sunday, a small thing to keep in mind when considering Washington for starting lineups. Given the Titans relatively tough passing defense and Mac Jones being hit or miss so far this season, it's hard to say Washington is anything more than a decent flex play in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Nailor remains a low-volume option and should be benched in most fantasy leagues ahead of his Week 14 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Nailor carved out a solid target share and scoring opportunities early in the season, but he has come back down to earth and earned fewer looks as the clear No. 3 wide receiver behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Nailor has been held to one catch (or less) in each of his last five games, and although he does have two touchdowns in that span, his scoring options are unpredictable and the risk of him turning in a clunker outweighs the potential modest reward of him catching one pass for one touchdown. Nailor is still one of the more fantasy-relevant No. 3 receivers in the NFL, but as long as Jefferson and Addison stay healthy, he can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues. That remains the case this week as the Vikings face the Falcons. Atlanta has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year, but that stat has more favorable implications for Jefferson and Addison than it does for Nailor.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson is coming off one of the worst performances of his career and fails to inspire confidence heading into Week 14 of the NFL season. During last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Carlson went 2-for-2 on extra points but just 1-for-4 on field goals. The three missed kicks tied a career-most for the Raiders' kicker, who hadn't previously done that since the second game of his career back in 2018. Even ignoring the misses, Carlson isn't a super dependable fantasy option as he ranks 16th in fantasy points scored among kickers this year. In Week 14, he'll face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who rank near the middle of the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to kickers. Notably, they have held their opponents to a modest 1.8 field goals per game, including just 0.2 from beyond 50 yards. In any given week, Carlson ranks as a fringe top-18 option and can be left on waivers in most leagues with 14 or fewer teams.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan should continue to be benched in most fantasy football leagues for Week 14. The 23-year-old did possess a respectable 76 percent snap share last Sunday, but he still caught just two of three targets for 25 yards, finishing with fewer than five fantasy points (PPR) for the second consecutive game. His role and volume have both been reduced ever since Mike Evans returned from injury. We also can't ignore his subpar matchup this week against the Las Vegas Raiders. While the Raiders have struggled as a team this season, they've defended the pass quite well. The Raiders are allowing the eighth-fewest receiving yards and 10th-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers in 2024. As long as Evans is healthy, McMillan should be benched in fantasy football. That includes this Sunday's matchup at home.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers remains a top option at his position and should be started in all fantasy leagues ahead of Week 14. The star rookie is coming off a phenomenal game against the Kansas City Chiefs in which he caught 10 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown. That performance brought his season total to 84 catches, 884 yards, and four touchdowns. The Georgia product has emerged as a Rookie of the Year candidate while ranking as the overall TE1 in fantasy football. Bowers' success should continue in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. The Buccaneers have allowed the fifth-most receiving yards, eighth-most touchdowns, and seventh-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends in 2024. Vegas is also the underdog, which means they'll have a negative game script and should look to throw the ball a lot. The stars are certainly aligning for Bowers to have a huge game against the Buccaneers this Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott has emerged as a potential must-start fantasy option heading into Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers. Elliott ranks 20th among kickers in fantasy points this season, but he has played well lately, going 4-for-4 on field goals and 7-for-7 on extra points over his last two games. In addition to his latest accuracy, Elliott gets a very favorable Week 14 matchup against the Panthers, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing kickers in 2024. Carolina has surrendered an average of 2.9 extra points and 2.2 field goals per game, and those numbers could jump even higher after this week's contest against a strong Eagles offense. Scoring opportunities will be plentiful for Elliott on Sunday. He's a top option ahead of this week's fantasy football matchups.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants running back Devin Singletary remains an unreliable fantasy option for Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints. On one hand, Singletary did draw the start last week, getting a potentially expanded role after Tyrone Tracy Jr. had fumbled three times over the two previous games. However, Tracy ended up handling the bulk of the backfield work as Singletary finished with just seven carries for 23 yards. The 27-year-old has tallied a career-low 4.01 yards per carry this year and remains the Giants' No. 2 option out of the backfield heading into Sunday's contest. Even against a Saints defense struggling to defend the run, Singletary is not a trustworthy fantasy option. He can be benched in all leagues with 14 or fewer teams.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis faces the reeling Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend in a divisional battle. The young quarterback has shown marked improvement since returning from injury, finishing as a top-20 quarterback each of the past four weeks, including one top-10 finish. The bar was extremely low for the Kentucky product, as he had failed to reach even that threshold in four out of five weeks to begin the year. While it's not pretty all of the time, Levis has thrown for seven touchdowns to two interceptions since Week 10 and looks much more comfortable in this offense. Unfortunately, the Titans are No. 1 in the league in sacks allowed during this time, but it's promising that Levis has still managed to put up decent numbers instead of this issue. This week, Levis faces a Jaguars defense that is 31st against opposing quarterbacks, which puts him as a potential streamer with six teams on the bye. It's possible that Tennessee opts to go with a more ground-heavy offensive approach, given Jacksonville's struggles in that department. Still, Levis at home against an atrocious secondary should give fantasy managers a nice floor.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau (shoulder) practiced in full on Friday after logging limited sessions on the two preceding days. He will not carry a designation going into Sunday's game against the New York Giants. In Week 13, fellow tight end Taysom Hill (knee) tore his ACL, ending his season and thus bumping Moreau up in the pecking order on offense. It should be noted that during Hill's previous multi-week absence earlier this season, Moreau had minimal involvement as a pass-catcher. To date, he has 17 catches for 223 yards and three touchdowns on 25 targets. Fantasy managers in a bind at tight end thanks to this week's bye-pocalypse should look elsewhere for help. The Giants allow the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the position and Moreau is used as an extra blocker more than twice as often as he runs a route. If desperation drives investment in the Saints for roster help, look to Juwan Johnson rather than Moreau for a streaming tight end.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe hit a pair of 54-yard field goals in Week 13 but also missed a 36-yarder in the 21-14 loss to the Rams. The miss was his first since Week 8 and just his second missed field goal of the year. He is now 5-for-5 on attempts from 50 yards or more. On the season Grupe has been good on 20 out of 22 field goal attempts and has converted 26 of 28 extra point tries. In Week 14 the Saints face the New York Giants, who rank in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing kickers. Grupe has not been spectacular by any stretch but his long-range accuracy offers some appeal. With six teams on bye this week, it may be necessary to shop the wire to fill the kicker slot. Grupe is a decent option but fantasy managers will be best served to shop for a more lucrative matchup as the Saints-Giants pairing is expected to be a low-scoring affair.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen will look to stay hot as Carolina travels to the hostile Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. For the veteran wideout, the matchup will test if Thielen can continue to be productive for fantasy managers in a tough matchup. Thielen recorded eight receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown in last Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 34-year-old also had an incredible one-handed reception in overtime and a controversial circus catch that was wrongfully ruled not a touchdown. Still, the Philadelphia secondary offers major problems for Thielen and company, leading to RotoBaller's WR39 tag on the veteran this week.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen will look to continue his strong play in Week 14 as he faces a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers' secondary. The 49ers rank 4th in passing yards allowed, giving up just 190 yards per game. Meanwhile, Allen's fellow star wide receiver, DJ Moore (quadriceps), is listed as questionable for the game after being limited in Friday's practice following missed sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. While Moore is optimistic he'll play, if he's unable to suit up, it would open the door for other pass catchers to step up in the Bears' offense. Allen has been a key part of Chicago's passing attack, coming off a Week 13 performance where he caught five passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Even with Moore potentially active, Allen remains a solid flex play, but if Moore is ruled out, Allen becomes a near must-start option in all formats.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze will look to bounce back from a quiet performance in Week 13 as he faces a tough San Francisco defense in Week 14. The 49ers rank 4th in passing yards allowed, limiting opponents to just 190 yards per game. Meanwhile, Odunze's fellow star wide receiver, DJ Moore (quadriceps), is listed as questionable after being limited in Friday's practice following missed sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. While Moore remains optimistic about playing, if he's unable to go, it would open up more opportunities for the Bears' other pass catchers. Odunze will need to step up after a modest Week 13 performance in which he recorded just two catches for 25 yards. If Moore is ruled out, Odunze will become a boom-or-bust option with the potential for a more prominent role in the passing game. However, if Moore plays, it's difficult to confidently start Odunze, given the competition for targets in the Bears' offense.
