Dustin Hopkins Nov 1 3:30pm CT
    Dustin Hopkins

Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins made all three of his field goals in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8. The veteran kicker will look to keep it going at home against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. The Chargers have been tough on kickers in fantasy this season, allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. Hopkins has a better outlook for fantasy with Jameis Winston under center but he is outside the top-20 options at the position heading into Week 9.

    From RotoBaller

Noah Fant Nov 1 3:30pm CT
    Noah Fant

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) will not play in Week 9 according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Fant opened the week as a limited participant but was then downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday. This will be the first game of the 2024 campaign the 26-year-old sits out of. Since Week 3, Fant has caught at least three passes in all but one game and averaged 8.3 PPR points during this span. With DK Metcalf (knee) also not suiting up, fantasy managers should expect Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Jake Bobo to lead an undermanned Seattle passing attack against the Los Angeles Rams.

    From RotoBaller

    Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Nov 1 3:30pm CT
    Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

The Cleveland Browns defense will take on the Los Angeles Chargers at home in Week 9. Cleveland's defense looked inspired in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens last week, holding their division rivals to 24 points. The Chargers have been a tough matchup for defenses this season, allowing just the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position. Cleveland has several key players banged up as Denzel Ward (concussion) is questionable and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) is already ruled out. Treat the Browns as a mid-range fantasy option heading into the weekend.

    From RotoBaller

Dallas Goedert Nov 1 3:20pm CT
    Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) will not play in Week 9. Goedert has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in the opening frame of their Week 6 tilt against the Cleveland Browns. The 29-year-old has also been unable to practice during this stretch and will now attempt to return to action in Week 10 to face the Dallas Cowboys in a pivotal divisional matchup. Before the injury, Goedert was enjoying a nice start to the season as he averaged a solid 13.5 PPR points per game through the first four weeks Fantasy managers should expect Grant Calcaterra to serve as the top tight end in Philadelphia this weekend and is worth a look in deeper formats as the Jacksonville Jaguars have allowed the 23rd-most PPR points to opposing tight ends this season.

    From RotoBaller

Elijah Moore Nov 1 3:20pm CT
    Elijah Moore

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore posted his best game of the season in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens last week, catching eight passes for 85 yards. He will look to keep it going in Week 9's home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers have been tough on receivers this season, allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the position thus far. That being said, the quarterback switch to Jameis Winston has breathed some lift into the Cleveland passing attack, putting Moore back on the map as a possible flex option in fantasy. He's worth a look in 12-team and larger leagues if desperate.

    From RotoBaller

Brian Robinson Jr. Nov 1 3:20pm CT
    Brian Robinson Jr.

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the New York Giants according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. The Alabama product has been a limited participant all week with a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old was also dealing with a knee injury and had to sit out during Week 6. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the weekend as Robinson may be a game-time decision leading up to their divisional battle against the Giants. Robinson has scored double-digit PPR points in all but one game this season and has found the end zone six times in seven games. If he is unable to suit up, Austin Ekeler should be expected to see the majority of work with Jeremy McNichols serving as a change-of-pace option.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Chubb Nov 1 3:10pm CT
    Nick Chubb

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb ran 16 times for 52 yards in a Week 8 win over the Baltimore Ravens while handling all but five of the running-back carries. He will look to continue to dominate the work in the backfield for Cleveland in a Week 9 home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers have been tough against running backs this season, allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the position thus far. The Cleveland offense looked resurgent under Jameis Winston last week but fantasy gamers should still temper expectations for Chubb thanks to the difficult matchup. Treat him as a high-end RB3 for Week 9.

    From RotoBaller

Kirk Cousins Nov 1 3:10pm CT
    Kirk Cousins

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns last week against the Buccaneers and draws another favorable matchup in Week 9 versus the Cowboys who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to the QB position. Atlanta typically leans pass-heavy, throwing almost 57% of the time, and with the Falcons as three-point home favorites with a relatively high expected total in this contest (48.5), it sets up for a good day for the 36-year-old signal-caller. Keep in mind, however, that outside of the two games against Tampa Bay, the veteran QB has posted only modest production in the six other contests, averaging 220 yards passing with a 6:6 TD:INT. Nevertheless, with 2x All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons still out and Dallas likely missing a couple of other key defensive pieces, Cousins projects as a low-end QB1 for Week 9.

    From RotoBaller

    D.K. Metcalf Nov 1 3:10pm CT
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) was ruled out for Sunday's tilt against the Los Angeles Rams according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. The star wideout has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury during Week 7. Metcalf was unable to practice at all this week. The 26-year-old will now set his sights on returning in Week 11 as the Seahawks are off during Week 10. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to lead the air attack against the Rams who have allowed the 11th-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts this season.

    From RotoBaller

Cedric Tillman Nov 1 3:10pm CT
    Cedric Tillman

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman is in the midst of a breakout as he has caught 15 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns in the two games since Amari Cooper was traded to the Buffalo Bills. Tillman will look to continue his recent success in a home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. The Chargers may provide some resistance for Tillman, however, as their pass defense is allowing just the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing receivers this season. Tillman has earned a look as an every-week WR3 in fantasy moving forward, although it would be wise to temper expectations for the second-year wideout in Week 9 thanks to the challenging matchup.

    From RotoBaller

Jerry Jeudy Nov 1 3:10pm CT
    Jerry Jeudy

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday but is listed without an injury designation on the team's final injury report heading into a Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Jeudy was one of the beneficiaries of the Jameis Winston era beginning in Cleveland last week as he caught five passes for 79 yards in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns may have a tougher time passing the ball in Week 9 as their opponent, the Los Angeles Chargers, is allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Jeudy is on the map as a flex option this weekend but he is unlikely to post a ceiling game in this tough matchup.

    From RotoBaller

Quentin Johnston Nov 1 3:10pm CT
    Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (ankle) and tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) are off the team's injury report ahead of Week 9. Both athletes haven't appeared in action since being forced from the Chargers' Week 6 23-16 victory over the Denver Broncos early with their respective injuries. It's fantastic news for LA, as wideout DJ Chark (groin) could also be activated off injured reserve this Sunday, meaning Brenden Rice (shoulder) is the only other Chargers' wide receiver to carry a designation. Still, Johnston and Hurst will be tough to trust regarding fantasy output with the emergence of rookie wideout Ladd McConkey (hip). The Bolts will square off against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field this Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Nov 1 3:00pm CT
    Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Per Jordan Raanan of ESPN, New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (concussion) has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will play this Sunday in Week 9. It's excellent news for the rookie, who is coming off his best game on the ground of his young career thus far -- a 145-yard, one-touchdown performance against a stout Pittsburgh Steelers defense. He'll get a much easier matchup this Sunday when New York hosts their division-rival Washington Commanders at MetLife stadium. Washington has allowed 5.1 yards per carry to opposing rushing attacks this season -- the third-highest figure in the league. With the rookie back to full health, backfield mate Devin Singletary figures to again rotate in behind him in a change-of-pace role.

    From RotoBaller

Jameis Winston Nov 1 3:00pm CT
    Jameis Winston

Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston turned in an excellent performance in his first start since 2022, throwing for 334 yards and three touchdowns in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens. He will look to keep it going at home against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. The Chargers have a much better pass defense than the Ravens as they are allowing just the 25th-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. That being said, Winston looked good last week and is worth trusting as a low-end QB2 in superflex and two-quarterback formats this weekend.

    From RotoBaller

    D.J. Chark Nov 1 3:00pm CT
    D.J. Chark

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark (groin) is questionable for Sunday's road outing against the Cleveland Browns. Chark has yet to be activated from the injured reserve after injuring his groin right before the start of the season. However, the 28-year-old was able to log two full practice sessions to close out the week, so perhaps this is the week he'll make his season debut. Even if he suits up, it will be difficult to trust the former second-round pick in his first game back to action as his role in the offense is unclear. Especially with the impending return of fellow wideout Quentin Johnston (ankle). While Chark may carve out a role for himself on the field, he's unlikely to provide a noteworthy fantasy impact.

    From RotoBaller

Cameron Dicker Nov 1 2:50pm CT
    Cameron Dicker

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker is a solid and reliable option in Week 9 fantasy lineups as the Chargers hit the road to take on the Cleveland Browns. Dicker has two top-six fantasy kicker finishes in the past three weeks, and he's continued with the consistency he showed in his rookie season. This year, he's missed just one field goal and two extra points through a total of 26 made kicks. With a Cleveland defense that is decent at best and a Chargers offense that appears to be on the upswing, Dicker could see several chances to score points this weekend and should be a solid top-10 option at the position.

    From RotoBaller

Joey Bosa Nov 1 2:50pm CT
    Joey Bosa

The Los Angeles Chargers defense is a good option for Week 9 fantasy lineups as the Bolts travel to Ohio to take on the Cleveland Browns. The Chargers defensive unit is coming off an overall DST3 finish last week against the New Orleans Saints, and now they face a Browns offense that is in flux and led by turnover-happy Jameis Winston. The Chargers defense already has five top-12 fantasy finishes and should be right on track for another one this weekend. Joey Bosa (hip) could be making his return as well, which would bolster the pass rush for the Bolts.

    From RotoBaller

Jaylen Waddle Nov 1 2:40pm CT
    Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle enters Week 9 having only scored 10-plus PPR points in one game in 2024. Even with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) returning to the lineup last week, he could only record four receptions on six targets for 45 yards. To add insult to injury, Waddle has yet to score a touchdown through seven games. This week presents a tough matchup against a Buffalo Bills defense that gives up the sixth-least fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Waddle has been held to eight catches for 87 yards in the last two appearances against Buffalo. Making matters worse is the fact that temperatures are projected to drop into the thirties in Orchard Park on Sunday. It wouldn't be surprising if he has another disappointing performance this week. Despite the tough matchup, Waddle is WR27 in the latest RotoBaller rankings, making him a high-end WR3 against the Bills for Week 9.

    From RotoBaller

Dalton Kincaid Nov 1 2:40pm CT
    Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (collarbone/knee) has endured a mostly disappointing 2024 campaign, although he scored a touchdown last week. The outlook for Week 9 isn't appealing either. The Dolphins allow the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends and are better against the pass than the run. Kincaid was already a letdown against the Dolphins in Week 2. He caught four passes for 33 yards and was barely utilized in the second half. Fantasy managers don't need to worry about Kincaid's appearance on the team's injury report. He's been listed with a collarbone issue for the last couple of weeks but has fully practiced through the problem. They do need to worry about the production. Kincaid is a low-end TE1 for Week 9.

    From RotoBaller

Will Dissly Nov 1 2:40pm CT
    Will Dissly

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) is a potential streaming option in deeper leagues in a Week 9 game against the Cleveland Browns. Dissly has shot up the fantasy tight end ranks lately, seeing 23 targets thrown his way over the past three games after just 10 in total through the first four. Dissly has been able to pick up the slack a bit as other Chargers pass catchers have been forced to miss time and play hurt. This week, both Quentin Johnston (ankle) and D.J. Chark (groin) are expected to play, so Dissly's target share could go down somewhat, but he's clearly built some trust with quarterback Justin Herbert and should remain part of the game plan. Dissly has been dealing with a shoulder issue and missed practice on Wednesday but was able to return to a limited practice on Thursday and got in a full session on Friday. He enters the weekend without an injury designation and should be a solid TE2 option with a high floor.
