Johnny Wilson Sep 16 6:20pm CT
    Johnny Wilson

Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson (hamstring), who was listed as questionable on the team's final Week 2 injury report, is officially active for Monday night's contest against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. In his NFL debut in the Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, Wilson played only 10 offensive snaps and couldn't haul his only target in the game. The 23-year-old sixth-rounder from Florida State could have a bigger role with A.J. Brown (hamstring) inactive, but it's still unlikely to be big enough for him to make an impact for fantasy managers. DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert could be leaned on more by quarterback Jalen Hurt on Monday night, with Jahan Dotson also hoping to have a bigger role in the passing attack after not catching his only target in his Eagles debut last week.

Vita Vea Sep 16 6:20pm CT
    Vita Vea

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea (knee) suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in the Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Todd Bowles, and he's considered day-to-day. While Vea has a chance to play in a Week 3 meeting with the Denver Broncos at home, it's not guaranteed. We'll have a better idea of the 29-year-old defensive tackle's status for this weekend once the team starts practicing on Wednesday. If Vea were to be unable to play this Sunday, it would be an upgrade for a Broncos offensive line that hasn't been able to get anything going in the run game through two weeks. Vea was a Pro Bowler for the first time in 2021 with Tampa, and although he's not really a force in IDP fantasy formats, he's one of the best run-stopping defensive tackles in the league, so him missing any time would make the Bucs more vulnerable against the rush.

Caleb Williams Sep 16 6:13pm CT
    Caleb Williams

Dynasty | The Panthers have benched quarterback Bryce Young. Dynasty Analysis: Andy Dalton will start this week's game and possibly beyond. Young has been an abject disaster through the first two games, throwing for just 245 total yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. His QBR is 8.9, dead last in the NFL by a country mile. The Panthers paid through the nose to acquire him (a deal that ended up being wide receiver DJ Moore and this year's #1 pick, Caleb Williams). This is likely a short-term benching for Young to get right, but it also could be the beginning of the end for his short tenure. This is life in the NFL but if the Panthers throw in the towel after 18 games, this trade could go down as one of the worst in NFL history, considering the entire franchise will have to hit reset yet again. Young's dynasty value is on life support.

Bryce Young Sep 16 6:13pm CT
    Bryce Young

Dynasty | The Panthers will start Andy Dalton at quarterback this week. Dynasty Analysis: The Red Rifle is back, this time taking over for a wildly ineffective Bryce Young, who has been benched by the Panthers. Dalton could have short-term value as the Panthers offense isn't lacking playmakers. However, we've seen both good and bad through the years with him, so expectations should be tempered. The bigger story here is with Young. If Dalton comes in and has success running the offense, it will be an even bigger indictment on his career. Dalton should be rostered at this point.

DeForest Buckner Sep 16 6:00pm CT
    DeForest Buckner

Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman DeForest Buckner (ankle), who has been one of the league's most durable players, suffered an ankle sprain in the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers that is expected to make him a long shot to suit up in Week 3 versus the Chicago Bears, according to sources. X-rays were negative on Buckner, and he's set to undergo an MRI exam. The belief is that the sprain isn't severe, but fantasy managers with Buckner in IDP formats shouldn't count on having him for at least this week. The 30-year-old pass-rusher had to be carted to the locker room at Lambeau Field on Sunday and could end up missing more than just one game. Indy's pass rush will be at less than full strength for however long the three-time Pro Bowler is sidelined. Buckner has seven total tackles and 1.5 sacks through the first two weeks of the 2024 season.

Zamir White Sep 16 5:50pm CT
    Zamir White

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce is not giving up on struggling running back Zamir White and wants to keep him heavily involved in the team's backfield moving forward. "I'm gonna keep pumping him up. Our goal is to get 20-plus touches with him. That was the goal this week, didn't happen. That's gonna be the goal this week and every week while he's the starting running back and I'm here," Pierce said. White has fallen flat through two weeks as Vegas' lead back in 2024, averaging a career-low 3.1 yards per carry on 22 attempts (68 yards) while catching five passes for only 16 yards. The Raiders basically abandoned the run in the Week 2 upset win over the Ravens, and it was concerning that backup Alexander Mattison vultured a touchdown. White is still the Raiders' go-to back, but volume could be a concern all year long. The good news is he has a smash Week 3 spot against the Carolina Panthers.

Justin Herbert Sep 16 5:40pm CT
    Justin Herbert

X-rays came back negative on Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert's lower right leg on Monday, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Herbert had his leg rolled up on in the third quarter of the Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but he quickly returned to the contest and finished out the day under center. The 26-year-old signal-caller isn't dealing with any structural damage but should be considered day-to-day, nonetheless, heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If by chance the Chargers don't clear Herbert to play this weekend, either Easton Stick or Taylor Heinicke would take over as the starting QB. Herbert has been held under 150 yards passing in both of the first two games of the year in LA's new offense, throwing for three touchdowns and one interception. If he plays in Week 3, he'll remain a low-end QB2 against a tough Steelers defense.

Deebo Samuel Sep 16 5:40pm CT
    Deebo Samuel

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) suffered a calf strain in the Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday and will be forced to miss a couple of weeks. It comes as a surprise after Samuel had eight catches (10 targets) for 110 receiving yards while also carrying the ball twice for 10 yards. With both Samuel and All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles, calf) out for the foreseeable future, San Fran's offense could struggle to put up points heading into a Week 3 divisional matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Jauan Jennings should step into the WR2 role behind Brandon Aiyuk, who has been slow out of the gates after a lengthy contract hold-in, while tight end George Kittle's fantasy ceiling and floor will now be raised. Samuel's injury makes running back Jordan Mason even more of a lock as a must-start in fantasy lineups going forward.

MarShawn Lloyd Sep 16 5:30pm CT
    MarShawn Lloyd

Green Bay Packers rookie MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) said he suffered a sprained ankle in his NFL debut in the Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Lloyd is walking fine but called himself day-to-day. The 23-year-old has already dealt with three different injuries since training camp that have limited his on-field abilities early in his first year in the NFL. His injury doesn't sound too serious, but it also doesn't mean that Lloyd will be a lock to play in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans. The third-round selection has a great opportunity to be Green Bay's No. 2 RB behind Josh Jacobs with AJ Dillon (neck) out for the year, but injuries have held him back so far. If Lloyd is limited or out this weekend, Emanuel Wilson will be Jacobs' backup again in Week 3. Lloyd saw six carries and gained 15 yards on the ground while catching one pass for a three-yard gain in his NFL debut on Sunday.

Breece Hall Sep 16 5:20pm CT
    Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (quadriceps) is dealing with a quadriceps issue on a short turnaround in Week 3 with a contest this Thursday night against the division-rival New England Patriots. The good news for fantasy managers is that Hall was listed as a full practice participant on Monday, so as long as he doesn't suffer some sort of setback the next two days, he should be available as the team's lead RB on Thursday evening. The 23-year-old high-end RB1 in fantasy has delivered the first two weeks with 30 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding 12 catches (14 targets) for 91 yards and another score through the air. Rookie backup Braelon Allen took some attention away with two TDs on nine touches in the Week 2 win over the Titans, but Hall remains New York's bell-cow back and should be in all starting lineups this Thursday night against the surprising Pats.

Jordan Love Sep 16 5:20pm CT
    Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that ideally if quarterback Jordan Love (knee) were to play in Week 3 at the Tennessee Titans, Love would practice at least a little since it will have been two weeks without doing anything on the field since injuring his knee in the Week 1 loss in Brazil to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 25-year-old is dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and facing an uphill battle to be ready in Week 3. A report surfaced on Sunday morning stating that Love is targeting a return in Week 5 on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, so it would be a surprise if he's back on the field this weekend. Fantasy managers need to prepare for a few more absences. Malik Willis will most likely take on his old team, the Titans, in Week 3 after leading Green Bay to a Week 2 win over the Colts by going 12-for-14 for 122 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions.

    Amon-Ra St. Brown Sep 16 5:10pm CT
    Amon-Ra St. Brown

When Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was asked about wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown's (lower body) injury, he said, "Lower leg. He'll be good. Soft tissue." It's unclear exactly what kind of injury St. Brown is dealing with, but we'll have a clearer picture on Wednesday, the first day of Week 3 practice. The 24-year-old was forced from action at the end of the Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth quarter. Before the injury, St. Brown bounced back in a big way from his quiet season-opening performance with a 11-119-0 line on 19 targets after catching three passes for 13 yards in Week 1. It sounds like the Lions think he'll have a good shot to play in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, but we'll know more later this week. When active, St. Brown is a must-start in fantasy after being taken in the first round in most drafts.

Cooper Kupp Sep 16 4:40pm CT
    Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) is expected to miss an extended period of time, according to head coach Sean McVay. The star wide receiver is also a candidate to land on injured reserve, knocking him out for at least four games. With Puka Nacua (knee) already on injured reserve, the Rams have Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell, and sixth-round rookie Jordan Whittington healthy at the wide receiver position. Unfortunately, Los Angeles has several players on injured reserve or likely heading there, making fans feel like it's the 2022 season all over again. Matthew Stafford's fantasy value takes a massive hit with his top two playmakers out of the lineup. Fantasy players likely want to avoid starting any Rams player not named Kyren Williams for the foreseeable future.

Isiah Pacheco Sep 16 3:00pm CT
    Isiah Pacheco

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (fibula) is expected to miss six to eight weeks after suffering a fractured fibula late in Sunday's 26-25 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Unfortunately, the injury is a massive blow to the Chiefs' backfield and for fantasy managers. Pacheco played 72.3% of the snaps over the first two weeks, accounting for 79.1% of the rushing attempts and 72.7% of the targets out of the backfield. Rookie Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are the other two running backs on the active roster, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire (mental health) on the Non-Football Injury list. Kansas City is bringing in Kareem Hunt for a visit on Tuesday. Steele is the most appealing waiver-wire target currently on the roster after an impressive preseason performance, while Perine should gain more attention in PPR formats.

    From RotoBaller

Kareem Hunt Sep 16 3:00pm CT
    Kareem Hunt

The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing in a familiar face for a visit on Tuesday. Kareem Hunt is set to visit the team after the Chiefs lost Isiah Pacheco (fibula) to a significant injury in yesterday's 26-25 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. With Pacheco expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured fibula and Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the non-football injury list (mental health), Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are the only two healthy running backs on the roster. Hunt hasn't played for the Chiefs since the 2018 season. However, the veteran running back averaged 7.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game last year with the Cleveland Browns, totaling nine rushing touchdowns. If he signs with the team, Hunt, Steele, and Perine will all see meaningful touches until Pacheco is healthy.

Tee Higgins Sep 16 2:20pm CT
    Tee Higgins

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that he believes wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) is moving in a positive direction and that the extra day this week will help as the team prepares to face the Washington Commanders in Week 3 next Monday night. Higgins injured his hamstring in practice just days before the season opener and has missed the first two games of the season as a result. The 25-year-old's status for next Monday's game will depend on how much he can do in practice this week. If Higgins draws a questionable tag on the final injury report on Saturday, fantasy managers probably won't want to take any chances with him in their starting lineups. Andrei Iosivas scored two touchdowns in the Week 2 loss to the Chiefs on his two receptions, while tight end Mike Gesicki saw more involvement with Higgins out. The 0-2 Bengals could certainly use their WR2 in Higgins back sooner than later.

Isiah Pacheco Sep 16 2:13pm CT
    Isiah Pacheco

Dynasty | Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco is headed to injured reserve after breaking his fibula in a win against Cincinnati. Dynasty Analysis: He'll miss at least a month but it's likely going to be more like 6-8 weeks as he recovers. It's a big blow to the offense and for those counting on Pacheco this season in their dynasty leagues. Carson Steele is going to be the hottest pickup in leagues this week as it looks like he'll serve as the early down option with newly signed Samaje Perine picking up major work moving forward.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Tank Dell Sep 16 2:13pm CT
    Tank Dell

Dynasty | Texans wide receiver Nico Collins had eight catches for 135 yards and a touchdown in Houston's win against Chicago. Dynasty Analysis: There seems to be little doubt who is the top target in this offense after two weeks. Collins now has 18 targets and 252 receiving yards through two games. His yardage total is tops in the NFL and his targets rank him seventh overall. In other words, the Texans may have talented players like Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs, but this passing offense is seemingly going through Collins. He's a WR1 moving forward.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Cam Akers Sep 16 2:13pm CT
    Cam Akers

Dynasty | The Texans could be without Joe Mixon in the short-term, leaving the backfield to Cam Akers. Dynasty Analysis: Mixon is dealing with an ankle ailment that has him day-to-day. Should he fail to return this week, it looks like Akers could draw the start as Dameon Pierce is dealing with an injury of his own. This would potentially be a career-saving moment for Akers, who has simply been awful the past two years as he's struggled to return from multiple injuries. He should be rostered everywhere as we wait and see Mixon's status.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Caleb Williams Sep 16 2:13pm CT
    Caleb Williams

Dynasty | Bears quarterback Caleb Williams completed 23-of-37 passes for 174 yards and two interceptions in a loss against Houston. Dynasty Analysis: The game line is misleading as Williams routinely made plays with both his arm and his legs in this one. He also looked to be in control of the offense from the start. While his stats leave a lot to be desired at the moment, Williams looks like an NFL quarterback and better days are clearly ahead. He's a strong hold and an even better buy-low for dynasty managers.
