According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Miami Dolphins. Hall was labeled as doubtful on Friday's injury report and was already facing an uphill battle to suit up. As a result, fantasy managers should expect rookie Braelon Allen to operate as the lead option out of the backfield. Allen showed some upside early in the season, averaging a solid 4.5 yards per carry during the first five weeks, but he has struggled since and has averaged a mere 2.8 yards per carry from Week 6 and on. In addition, last weekend the No. 3 option on the depth chart, Isaiah Davis, excelled as a receiver and could see a significant amount of third-down opportunities on Sunday. Fantasy managers should view Allen as an RB2 based on volume but should temper expectations given his poor efficiency. Davis could be a viable RB3 in PPR formats given his receiving skills.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Sincere McCormick has been given an opportunity in recent weeks to make noise in Vegas' backfield with both Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) missing the last two contests. In losses to the Broncos and Chiefs, McCormick has seen 17 carries for 97 yards while catching two passes for one yard. White has already been ruled out for Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Mattison listed as questionable. The 24-year-old has operated behind Ameer Abdullah in the No. 2 role, but the Raiders like the energy he brings to the offense, and he could continue to see more work this weekend if Mattison misses his third straight game. Fantasy managers desperate for a RB with six teams on bye in Week 14 could look McCormick's way as an RB3/flex, but it's probably only wise to do so if Mattison is inactive again on Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker has a nice matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14 and could see added targets with fellow receiver Jakobi Meyers expected to play through an ankle injury on Sunday. Tucker only had a season-low one target in the Week 13 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, but he made the most of it, going for a 58-yard touchdown. The previous week against the Broncos, he caught seven of eight targets for 82 yards, his second-highest receiving total of the year. Tampa's secondary is vulnerable, as they've been a top-10 matchup for receivers in 2024 in terms of PPR points allowed per game. The 23-year-old has been tough to trust in fantasy, as he has three or fewer catches in nine of 12 games. However, he may be worth a dart throw WR4/flex play in deeper leagues this weekend with six teams on bye.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ameer Abdullah (foot) could serve as the team's primary back for the third straight week in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Zamir White (quadriceps) has been ruled out already, while Alexander Mattison (ankle) is questionable and is in danger of missing his third straight game. Abdullah was on the injury report himself this week due to a foot injury, but he practiced in fully on Thursday and Friday and won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's contest. With the lead-back job the last two games in losses to Denver and KC, Abdullah carried the ball 18 times for 67 yards (3.72 yards per carry) while adding seven receptions for 51 yards and a TD. The 31-year-old will be an RB3/flex in fantasy, at best, against Tampa if Mattison is out again. However, the upside is limited in this Vegas offense, especially with rookie Sincere McCormick getting more run of late.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason (ankle), who still hasn't been placed on Injured Reserve, was officially ruled out for the Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears this Sunday after missing practice all week. Mason suffered a high-ankle sprain in last Sunday night's loss to the Buffalo Bills and is expected to eventually land on IR, which would require him to miss at least four games. The 25-year-old will likely go on IR before the deadline on Saturday, which will make him eligible to return for the Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival Arizona Cardinals. With fantasy championships typically coming in Week 17, Mason should have already been dropped in redraft leagues. With Christian McCaffrey (knee) also done for the season, rookie Isaac Guerendo is now the 49ers' lead back, and he'll have immediate RB2 upside in his first NFL start this Sunday versus Chicago.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Britain Covey (neck) put in a limited practice on Friday but was ruled out for the Week 14 contest on Sunday against the visiting Carolina Panthers. Covey will now set his sights on being available for the team in Week 15 when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Eagles will be without the 27-year-old for receiver depth this weekend, but they will be getting receiver DeVonta Smith back from a hamstring ailment that kept him out of the last two games. It's positive news after the team placed tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) on Injured Reserve. With Covey out, Cooper DeJean and Ainias Smith will fight for snaps as the No. 3 receiver in Philly with Jahan Dotson. Covey has not been on the fantasy radar at all in 2024 in his second year in the NFL, as he's caught only seven passes for 34 yards in his five games.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell (illness) missed practice on Thursday due to an illness, but he returned to a full practice on Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14. In his first start since returning from a fractured thumb, O'Connell surprised in the Week 13 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, throwing for 340 yards and two touchdowns. While we aren't saying that O'Connell is on the QB1 map, he does have an exploitable matchup on his hands on the road this weekend. The Buccaneers defense has allowed the third-most passing yards per game this year and the most fantasy points to the position on a weekly basis in 12 games this year. His top wideout, Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is questionable but is expected to play. Consider O'Connell a low-end QB2 with upside this weekend in fantasy.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) is heading to Injured Reserve on Saturday because of the knee injury he suffered in the Week 13 victory over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, according to sources. It means that Goedert will have to miss at least the next four games, but the plan is for him to be back at full speed heading into the playoffs. Technically, he'll be eligible to return for the Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival New York Giants, but it sounds like we won't see Goedert again until the postseason. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues can send him to the waiver wire for a healthy body. The 29-year-old also missed a few games earlier in 2024 due to injuries and he'll finish 2024 with 38 catches, 441 yards and two scores on 46 targets in nine games. Grant Calcaterra becomes a TE2 streaming option for the final five games in fantasy with Goedert now sidelined.
From RotoBaller
Despite his poor play recently, Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris has made it clear that he is standing by quarterback Kirk Cousins as the starter, even after Cousins tossed four interceptions in the Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Cousins has played poorly in recent weeks, but The Athletic's Dianna Russini has been told that no internal discussions of a QB switch to first-rounder Michael Penix Jr. have happened. Atlanta will continue to show faith in Cousins with the added motivation of facing his former team, the Minnesota Vikings, this weekend. Things can change quickly in the NFL, though, so if Cousins falls flat again in Week 14, perhaps Morris will change his tune about the QB situation heading into Week 15. The 36-year-old Cousins has fallen to low-end QB2 status after throwing six interceptions without a touchdown pass in the last three games.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Matthew Wright will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 14. In last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Wright nailed four of his five field goal attempts and his only point-after attempt. The 28-year-old was added to the active roster after the Chiefs lost Spencer Shrader to an injury. Shrader was placed on injured reserve, joining fellow kicker Harrison Butker on that list. Butker is eligible to return in Week 15, giving Wright at least one more week as the team's active placekicker. Wright is ranked as the 18th-best kicker in our RotoBaller rankings this week, meaning he should not be started in most leagues. Fantasy managers can likely find better options than Wright this week.
From RotoBaller
The Kansas City Chiefs defense will face the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday night in Week 14. The Chiefs defense was one of the stingier units to begin the season, as they allowed 20 or fewer points in six of their first seven games, but this group has been struggling lately. The Kansas City defense has allowed 24 or more points in three of the last five games and collected just two turnovers in that span. The Chiefs secondary will have their work cut out for them this week as they face Justin Herbert and the Chargers passing attack. The Chargers have won five of their last six games and scored at least 23 points in five of those games as well. The Kansas City defense is ranked as the 11th-best defense in our RotoBaller rankings this week, making them a start-worthy unit. Fantasy managers can start the Chiefs defense this week, but they may not have much upside in this matchup.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little is a below-average kicking option in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Little has been accurate at least this season, hitting all of his extra points and 17 of 19 field goals. His longest field goal made this season is 59 yards, so he has the leg to put up fantasy points as well. However, the already lackluster Jaguars offense now has Mac Jones under center instead of Trevor Lawrence, meaning Little could have even fewer field goal attempts this week. Last week against the Houston Texans, Little put up six fantasy points, and in Weeks 10 and 11, Jones's other two starts, he put up a combined nine fantasy points. The rookie kicker could have a decent fantasy day, but given the circumstances, there are much better options out there to start in an important Week 14 for most fantasy managers.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 14. The veteran tight end had seven catches for 68 yards in last week's close victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Kelce put forth a serviceable performance against the Raiders but will have a more challenging time this week against the Chargers, who rank eighth in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends this season. Kelce's upside has been capped with other Chiefs pass catchers getting more involved, specifically backup tight end Noah Gray. Gray has at least four catches in the last three games and scored four times in that span. That said, Kelce is seeing almost unmatched volume at the tight end position, with double-digit targets in five games this year. Kelce is ranked TE3 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings this week, making him a high-end TE1. Fantasy managers should feel confident starting him despite the difficult matchup.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 14. Pacheco returned from injured reserve last week and handled seven carries for 44 yards and one catch for five yards in their close victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Pacheco and Kareem Hunt split the carries evenly, but Pacheco showed that he was still the more explosive back of the duo. Another week removed from injured reserve, the 25-year-old should handle a larger share of the backfield opportunities. That said, it will not be a cakewalk matchup for Pacheco against the Chargers. The Chargers rank sixth in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season, making them one of the more difficult matchups for the position. Pacheco is ranked RB21 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings this week, making him a low-end RB2 option. Fantasy managers should excited to start Pacheco, despite the poor matchup, due to his ability to create big plays and the fact that there are six teams on bye this week.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 14. Hunt handled seven carries for 15 yards and two catches for four yards in last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The 29-year-old evenly split the backfield carries with Isiah Pacheco, but the latter was the more explosive option. With another week to get back to game speed, it stands to reason that Pacheco will shift the backfield share more in his direction. Even if the split remains relatively even this week, Hunt will have his work cut out for him against the Chargers. The Chargers rank sixth in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season, making them one of the most challenging matchups. Hunt is ranked RB30 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings this week, putting him on the flex radar in a week with six teams on bye. Fantasy managers should try their best not to start Hunt this week.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 14. The veteran receiver had four catches for 90 yards in last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Hopkins and Patrick Mahomes connected for multiple chunk plays in Week 13 and will attempt to build on that chemistry this week against the Chargers. The Chargers rank 14th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers this season, making them a relatively neutral matchup. The 32-year-old has displayed reliability as a pass catcher in this Kansas City offense and should continue to be heavily involved. That said, Travis Kelce is the player most likely to be fed targets in the passing attack, meaning Hopkins must be efficient with his opportunities to be fantasy-relevant. Hopkins is ranked WR30 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings this week, making him a WR3/flex option. Fantasy managers can start Hopkins in this matchup, but be aware that he has a low floor.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III is coming off back-to-back six-target games, catching 10 of those balls for 141 yards. The 28-year-old has been a pretty consistent option in the passing game for the Falcons all year, catching three or more passes in 10 of Atlanta's 12 games, while seemingly pushing Kyle Pitts out of the picture over the last couple of weeks. With just one touchdown on the season, the Clemson product's upside is limited, but with 45 receptions on the season, he can be in Flex consideration most weeks in PPR leagues. Minnesota allows the most fantasy points to wide receivers in the entire NFL, so this could certainly be one of those weeks. McCloud III projects as a WR5/Flex option this week, with slight upside in PPR formats.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14. The rookie has been a consistent factor in the Kansas City offense lately, catching at least four passes and totaling more than 45 yards in the last three games. The Chiefs also like to get Worthy involved in the run game, giving him at least one carry in eight games this season. Worthy will look to be productive this week against the Chargers, who rank 14th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers this season. Worthy and Patrick Mahomes have had difficulty connecting on deep passes this season, but it could be a matter of time until they do. Worthy is ranked WR41 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a deeper flex option this week. Fantasy managers can do better than Worthy this week, especially since he hasn't displayed a ceiling-type game since Week 1.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo hit two fields and an extra point attempt in Week 13, however, a field goal attempt from 35 yards out sailed wide right, marking the sixth field goal he's missed in the last six games. The 30-year-old is now 21-for-29 (72.4%) on the season, although he has yet to miss an extra point (24-for-24). Week 14's matchup with the Vikings has the Falcons as six-point underdogs and if Atlanta plans to win the game, they may not be able to settle for field goals. Still, the Falcons should be able to move the ball through the air, assuming Kirk Cousins remedies his interception issues, but drives may stall when the team has to run the ball down close against one of the toughest run defenses in the league, which could translate to opportunities for Koo. This matchup will also be indoors, so weather shouldn't be a problem. View Koo as a low-end kicker option this week with more reliable options in better situations likely available for the taking on the waiver wire.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram should serve as a safety valve for Mac Jones in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans, despite their 3-9 record, have been good against the pass in fantasy, both against tight ends and wide receivers. However, that shouldn't stop Engram from having a decent day, especially in PPR leagues. Last week against the Houston Texans, Engram produced seven catches for 41 yards. He led the team in receptions but was well behind Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr. in receiving yards. That trend could continue given Engram's role in the offense, making him more touchdown-dependent than usual. The good news is Jones was able to throw two passing touchdowns last week after none in his previous two starts. Engram should be viewed as a low-end TE1 in Week 14.
