Pete Carroll Jan 28 4:20pm CT
    Pete Carroll

According to Tashan Reed and Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach Darrell Bevell is believed to be the front-runner for the Las Vegas Raiders' offensive-coordinator job, according to a league source. The Raiders aren't known to have had any interviews or requested any interviews for the offensive-coordinator role, but other coaches will be considered. It's an important role for the Raiders offense moving forward, as new head coach Pete Carroll will not call offensive plays. Carroll's sons Brennan and Nate could also be additions to the offensive coaching staff in 2025. Former Raiders and Seattle Seahawks coach Tom Cable is a candidate to become the offensive-line coach. Greg Olson, who was the Raiders' OC from 2013-14 and again in 2018-21, is another potential offensive assistant to keep an eye on in Vegas.

Dan Campbell Jan 28 4:00pm CT
    Dan Campbell

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Detroit Lions have hired Denver Broncos pass-game coordinator John Morton as their new offensive coordinator on Tuesday. Morton recently interviewed for the position and will return to Detroit after working under head coach Dan Campbell several years ago. The 55-year-old will replace Ben Johnson, who took the head-coaching gig with the division-rival Chicago Bears. Morton worked as a senior offensive assistant with the Lions in 2022 before joining the Broncos in 2023. He was also the wide receivers coach for the New Orleans Saints in 2016 when Campbell was the assistant head coach/tight ends coach. Morton was the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets in 2017 and at USC from 2009-10, but he'll have big shoes to fill in his return to Detroit after the departure of Johnson, who elevated the Lions' offense to an elite level the last few years.

Jayden Daniels Jan 28 3:50pm CT
    Jayden Daniels

FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz reports that Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has decided to stay in D.C. for a second season despite drawing head-coaching interest around the league following an impressive turnaround that saw the Commanders go from four wins in 2023 to 12 wins in 2024 and an appearance in the NFC Championship game. Kingsbury's return will ensure continuity for the offense and for quarterback Jayden Daniels after a remarkable rookie season. The former Arizona Cardinals head coach will surely be a top head-coach candidate again next year. The opportunity to continue working with one of the best young QBs in the game was just too hard to pass up. With Kingsbury running the offense in 2024, the Commanders ranked seventh in total offense (369.6 yards per game) and fifth in scoring (28.5 points per game). It's great news for Daniels' stock in 2025.

Terry McLaurin Jan 28 3:40pm CT
    Terry McLaurin

The Athletic's Ben Standig writes that Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin's agent is expected to seek a new deal for the second-team All-Pro pass-catcher this offseason after recording his fifth straight 1,000-yard receiving season in 2024. In 17 regular-season games, McLaurin had 82 receptions on 117 targets for 1,096 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels elevated the entire offense. McLaurin added 14 catches on 23 targets for 227 yards and three touchdowns in the team's three playoff games. Going into the 2025 campaign, McLaurin's seventh in the league, he will be much more expensive in fantasy drafts as a WR1 after Daniels' impressive rookie season. In his six years in the NFL, McLaurin has 38 total touchdowns in 97 regular-season games and is averaging 65.8 yards per game.

Myles Garrett Jan 28 3:30pm CT
    Myles Garrett

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry said that he has no interest in trading All-Pro pass-rusher Myles Garrett this offseason, even if another team was willing to give the Browns two first-round draft picks in exchange. Berry also said that he'd like Garrett to retire in Cleveland. "I think you can assume that we do anticipate at some point doing a third contract with Myles. We want him to retire here," Berry said. The 29-year-old defensive end became the first player in NFL history to have at least 14 sacks in four straight seasons after recording 14 sacks for the second straight year in 2024 in 17 regular-season games. The six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro now has 102.5 sacks in his eight years with the Browns and doesn't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. Despite turning 30 this December, Garrett will be a high-end D line target in IDP fantasy formats this fall.

Aaron Glenn Jan 28 1:50pm CT
    Aaron Glenn

Detroit Lions passing-game coordinator Tanner Engstrand could be one of the lead candidates for the vacant New York Jets offensive-coordinator job under new head coach Aaron Glenn, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. Glenn and Engstrand worked together for four seasons in Detroit, and that could go a long way in Engstrand landing the job. The 42-year-old has held roles as a quality control assistant, tight ends coach, and passing game coordinator under Dan Campbell, and the Lions have ranked second in passing yards per game in each of the last two seasons. Many league sources have expressed confidence that he will land the OC job this offseason.

Russell Wilson Jan 28 1:40pm CT
    Russell Wilson

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson is replacing Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on the AFC Pro Bowl roster, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team. Wilson is headed to his 10th career Pro Bowl after Jackson opted out. The 36-year-old completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 11 games for the Steelers in 2024. Wilson is a free agent this offseason, and his future is unclear. However, he now becomes the seventh quarterback in NFL history to be named to at least 10 Pro Bowls, joining Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and Johnny Unitas.

Liam Coen Jan 28 1:30pm CT
    Liam Coen

The Jacksonville Jaguars are requesting to interview Carolina Panthers pass-game coordinator Jonathan Cooley for their vacant defensive-coordinator job, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Cooley spent time with the Los Angeles Rams while new Jaguars head coach Liam Coen was there, so there is a pre-existing relationship. Cooley entered the NFL in 2020 as a defensive assistant for L.A. following nine years in the college coaching ranks.

Drake Maye Jan 28 1:20pm CT
    Drake Maye

New England Patriots quarterback Drake May has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster after Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen opted out. The rookie out of North Carolina showed flashes in Year 1 despite a mediocre supporting cast, completing 66.6% of his passes for 2,276 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He added 421 yards and two scores as a runner. The 22-year-old appears to be on an upward trajectory, but New England must address issues on the offensive line and wide receiver room under new head coach Mike Vrabel.

Erick All Jan 28 12:10pm CT
    Erick All

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. (knee), who tore his right ACL on Nov. 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders, is expected to miss all of the 2025 season due to complications from a previous knee surgery in college, according to team and league sources. All will need two surgeries to fix the issue. The 24-year-old fell to the fourth round of the 2024 draft because of medical concerns. In addition to his knee injury, he suffered a back injury in 2022 while at Michigan that led to "life-changing" spine surgery. All has now ended the last three years with an injury. His second knee surgery should set him up to hit the ground running in 2026, and the Bengals hope All can pick up where he left off in his rookie season when he caught 20 of 22 targets for 158 yards in nine games before tearing his ACL. All's biggest impact came in the running game as a blocker, though.

Chris Godwin Jan 28 11:40am CT
    Chris Godwin

The Pittsburgh Steelers have plans to address their wide receiver room this offseason. "I think we have positions in the wide receiver room we're going to have to address. I think the wide receiver room is an area we've got to look at improving," owner Art Rooney II said on Tuesday. The Steelers could start adding by subtracting top wideout George Pickens, as many have speculated the team may look to trade the 23-year-old after showing maturity issues on and off the field. Head coach Mike Tomlin has said himself that Pickens needs to grow up. But even if the Steelers keep Pickens around, they definitely need to improve their depth at the position with Van Jefferson and Mike Williams both scheduled to be unrestricted free agents in March. Calvin Austin III has already proven that he's not a viable WR2. Perhaps Pittsburgh will be in the market for one of Tee Higgins, Chris Godwin or Amari Cooper.

Mike McCarthy Jan 28 11:20am CT
    Mike McCarthy

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said that he never actually had a formal interview with former NFL cornerback and current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders for the team's open head-coaching position. The Cowboys officially named Brian Schottenheimer as their new head coach on Monday. "Just a conversation about the team, and about where he is, and his boys, conversation with his boys, that type of conversation," Jones said. "I've said I've talked to a lot of coaches, and Deion has a job." Hiring Sanders to replace Mike McCarthy at the helm in Dallas would have been a big splash for the organization, but Sanders has never coached in the NFL, and the Cowboys wanted to keep continuity with their offense by elevating Schottenheimer, who was the offensive coordinator in 2024. Sanders played for the Cowboys from 1995-99.

Trevor Lawrence Jan 28 11:20am CT
    Trevor Lawrence

At his introductory press conference on Monday as the Jacksonville Jaguars' new head coach, Liam Coen said that he plans on building around quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who was the first overall pick back in 2021 out of Clemson. "How do we make Trevor Lawrence and this offense as dynamic and explosive as we can be? We've got to build it around him, we've got to make every part of this about improvement, and he will be a part of that process," Coen said. "He's earned that right. I cannot respect his toughness and mentality and work ethic more than I do already from afar. This will all be about Trevor." The 25-year-old so far has not lived up to his draft stock in four NFL seasons, and he played in a career-low 10 games in 2024 due to shoulder and concussion issues. Lawrence's fantasy stock has never been lower, but Coen's bright offensive mind should give him an opportunity to bounce back as a QB2 in 2025.

    Liam Coen

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they interviewed Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone for their offensive-coordinator job on Tuesday. The Bucs are looking for a new offensive coordinator after Liam Coen left to become the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before Ragone joined the Rams in 2024, he was the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons for three seasons. He began his NFL coaching career in 2011 and has also coached with the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans. Tampa is now looking for their fourth offensive coordinator in the last four years. They also interviewed offensive assistant/pass-game specialist Nate Scheelhaase and tight ends coach/pass-game coordinator Nick Caley for the offensive-coordinator position on Monday. The Bucs have also interviewed Chargers assistant Marcus Brady and Vikings assistant Grant Udinski.

    C.J. Stroud Jan 27 10:50pm CT
    C.J. Stroud

The Houston Texans will interview quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson for their offensive-coordinator job early this week and is regarded as a top internal candidate to replace Bobby Slowik, according to league sources. The New York Jets are also expected to request an interview with Johnson for their offensive-coordinator position under new head coach Aaron Glenn. Johnson, a Texas A&M alumni who played for six different NFL teams, worked with quarterback C.J. Stroud in his first two years with the Texans but began coaching him when he was 16 years old. He interviewed last year with the Buccaneers, Saints, Browns, Eagles, Steelers and Patriots and has emerged as one of the hottest offensive-coordinator candidates around the NFL. Although Stroud regressed in his second season, Johnson was one of the big reasons he led the league in passing yards per game and TD-to-interception ratio as a rookie.

Pete Carroll Jan 27 10:50pm CT
    Pete Carroll

The Athletic's Tashan Reed reports that the Las Vegas Raiders will interview defensive-line coach Rob Leonard for the defensive-coordinator job. In addition to Leonard, the Raiders have requested to interview Seattle Seahawks defensive-backs coach Karl Scott for the same position. Current defensive coordinator Patrick Graham has been a head-coaching candidate around the league this cycle and could depart, especially with the Raiders naming Pete Carroll as the new head coach. Leonard has been with the Raiders for the last two years and also coached the offensive line for the Baltimore Ravens in 2022. He began his NFL coaching career with the New York Giants and has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins. Leonard's experience in multiple roles has made him a hot coaching candidate around the league, but it sounds as though Carroll may want to retain him.

Dan Campbell Jan 27 7:00pm CT
    Dan Campbell

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Detroit Lions are working to hire Denver Broncos passing-game coordinator John Morton as their offensive coordinator to replace Ben Johnson, according to sources. Morton is traveling to Detroit on Monday to meet with the Lions. The 55-year-old was part of head coach Dan Campbell's staff in Detroit as a senior offensive assistant in 2022 before joining the Broncos in 2023. Morton also coached on Sean Payton's staff with the New Orleans Saints as a wide receivers coach when Campbell was the assistant head coach/tight ends coach in 2016. This wouldn't be Morton's first gig as an offensive coordinator in the NFL, as he held that role with the New York Jets in 2017. He was also the offensive coordinator at USC in 2009-10. Morton would become the second Broncos offensive assistant to leave this offseason, with TEs coach Declan Doyle being hired as the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears.

Mike McCarthy Jan 27 6:50pm CT
    Mike McCarthy

New Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said on Monday at his introductory press conference that he will be calling the offensive plays in 2025. The 51-year-old has been the Cowboys' offensive coordinator the last two years, so the announcement shouldn't come as a big surprise. However, it will be Schottenheimer's first head-coaching gig in the NFL. Former head coach Mike McCarthy also called the offensive plays in his final two years at the helm, and previous head coach Jason Garrett called the offensive plays for his first three seasons as head coach in Dallas from 2010-12. While the Cowboys are keeping continuity and familiarity with Schottenheimer, it should be noted that he hasn't called plays in the NFL since 2020 with the Seattle Seahawks. Expect the Dallas offense to feature a lot of play-action passes on offense under Schottenheimer in 2025.

Baker Mayfield Jan 27 6:50pm CT
    Baker Mayfield

New Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen confirmed on Monday that he will be calling the offensive plays for the team in his first year at the helm in 2025. Coen led Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield to the best season of his career in 2024 in his first and only year as the team's offensive coordinator, and now he will attempt to mold Jacksonville's offense around quarterback Trevor Lawrence in his first year as the Jags' head coach. Under Coen in 2024, Tampa had the league's No. 4 scoring offense (29.5 points per game) and No. 3 total offense (399.6 yards per game). Lawrence, the former first overall pick in 2021, had another disappointing 2024 that was marred by injuries. The 25-year-old played in a career-low 10 games due to a shoulder sprain and a concussion. The addition of Coen is good news, but fantasy managers will certainly be wary of Lawrence in fantasy drafts.

Tucker Kraft Jan 27 6:30pm CT
    Tucker Kraft

Based on Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur's comments at the end of the regular season, tight end Tucker Kraft and the rest of the team's TEs could see more involvement on offense in 2025. "I think that's on us to make sure we find him and feature him because when he gets the ball in his hands, you feel him," LaFleur said. "So if there's an area that we gotta do a better job on, I would say featuring the tight end." Musgrave only played in seven games due to injury, while Ben Sims and John FitzPatrick aren't traditional pass-catching TEs. Kraft, 24, broke out in his second season with 50 catches on 70 targets for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. Even if Musgrave is a bigger part of the passing offense in 2025, Kraft could have an even bigger role as Green Bay looks to replace targets lost to receiver Christian Watson's (knee) torn ACL.
