James Cook Sep 8 7:20pm CT
    James Cook

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook rushed for 71 yards on 19 attempts while adding 32 yards on three catches in the team's Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Cook dominated the running back touches (22), compared to four for rookie Ray Davis and two for Ty Johnson. Unfortunately, as was the story often in 2023, Josh Allen accounted for the team's two rushing touchdowns from within the 10-yard line. That left Cook with good yardage but no scores. Expect another game of 15-20 touches when the Bills take on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. A lack of goal-line opportunities will continue to cap his upside.

Cameron Dicker Sep 8 7:20pm CT
    Cameron Dicker

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker attempted three field goals and one extra point in a Week 1 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He made all four of his kicks, scoring 10 of the Chargers 22 points. Dicker started off the season just as he left off the last one: very consistent and reliable. He was a top-10 kicker in fantasy last season and should be right up there again this year.

    From RotoBaller

Jerome Ford Sep 8 7:20pm CT
    Jerome Ford

Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford carried the ball 12 times for 44 yards and a touchdown while adding six catches for 25 yards in a 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Ford's final stat line will be useful in fantasy, but the third-year back benefitted greatly from garbage time. Most of his production in the passing game came after the game was out of hand and his two-yard touchdown run came with the Browns down 23 points with just 29 seconds left on the clock. On the bright side, Ford saw most of the backfield touches for Cleveland, which should continue for as long as Nick Chubb (knee) is on the PUP list. Treat Ford as an RB2 in PPR fantasy leagues going forward.

    Wan'Dale Robinson Sep 8 7:20pm CT
    Wan'Dale Robinson

New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson turned in a solid performance in Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, making six receptions for 44 yards. While Robinson didn't find the end zone, he was busy all game as he easily lead all receivers in targets with 12. Robinson also chipped in a 14-yard rush, showcasing his versatility and role as a gadget player in the Giants' offense. Despite his modest stat line, Robinson may turn into a PPR flex option heading into Week 2, especially with the Giants potentially leaning on him more.

    From RotoBaller

Brian Robinson Jr. Sep 8 7:20pm CT
    Brian Robinson Jr.

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. led the Commanders backfield in rushing with 40 yards and a score. He added 49 yards on three receptions. Entering the season, many expected the Commanders to deploy a committee approach, but Robinson was the clear workhorse running back in the season opener. Austin Ekeler saw just two rushing attempts but did see slightly more work in the passing game. The Alabama product found the end zone on a seven-yard carry in the second quarter. Later in the third, Robinson made an impressive 32-yard catch but was unfortunately tackled at the one-yard line which set up a rushing score for Jayden Daniels. Even though he did not finish with a hefty rushing total, seeing the vast majority of carries compared to Ekeler is an excellent sign of his fantasy stock. Fantasy managers should continue to treat Robison as a low-end RB2/flex play in Week 2 as the Commanders face their division rival, the New York Giants.

Daniel Jones Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Daniel Jones

Dynasty | Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers had five catches for 66 yards in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: Based on the way Daniel Jones played, this has to be considered a minor miracle. It's clear Nabers has some next-level talent but this offense already looks putrid. New York plays at Washington next week in a game that feels pretty important in terms of what we can expect in terms of fantasy value for Nabers moving forward. He remains a solid hold in dynasty leagues but he could have some ups and downs this year playing in what looks to be one of the worst offenses in the NFL already.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Travis Etienne Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Travis Etienne

Dynasty | Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby had 12 carries for 73 yards in Jacksonville's week one loss to the Dolphins. Dynasty Analysis: More importantly, Bigsby's 12 carries matched those of Travis Etienne. As we heard all off-season, it certainly does seem the Jaguars have no desire to have Etienne simply carry the mail week after week. This is a big development in dynasty leagues as it could vault Bigsby into relevance and knock Etienne down to RB2 territory. We'll see what happens next week but Bigsby's 6.1 yards per carry outshined Etienne's 3.7 on the day, making this a huge dynasty story. Stay tuned.

Brian Thomas Jr. Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Brian Thomas Jr.

Dynasty | Jaguars receiver Brian Thomas Jr had four catches for 47 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: The Jags lost the game but it wasn't because of Thomas, who routinely got open and looked the part of a future WR1 in Jacksonville. His four targets were as many as any other player on the team, making this a very solid debut. Dynasty managers who took the plunge with Thomas in the top half of a dynasty draft have to be pleased. He remains a solid WR2/3 but one with the runway to get better in a hurry.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Anthony Richardson Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Anthony Richardson

Dynasty | Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed 9-of-19 passes for 212 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, adding 56 yards and another score on the ground in the Colts opening day loss to Houston. Dynasty Analysis: Richardson is clearly a work in progress but it's also clear he has the potential to be a serious performer in fantasy leagues if and when he puts everything together. Richardson could have had a monster game but he missed rookie Adonai Mitchell on not one, but two different long touchdown passes. Most importantly, Richardson left the game healthy and should build on this performance against a Jordan Love-less Green Bay team next week. He remains a solid low-end QB1 in dynasty leagues at the moment.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Joe Mixon Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Joe Mixon

Dynasty | Texans running back Joe Mixon had 159 yards and a touchdown in Houston's opening day win against the Colts. Dynasty Analysis: So far, so good for Mixon, who had a whopping 33 touches on the day (he added three catches for 19 yards). It seems Houston is more than happy feeding Mixon until the wheels come off this year and that's good news for dynasty managers. Mixon has the looks of a serious bounceback performer after one week. We'll wait to see it again next week before overreacting but this was a big day for Mixon and his dynasty managers.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Tank Dell Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Tank Dell

Dynasty | New Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs had six catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns in his Houston debut. Dynasty Analysis: Diggs had six targets on the day, falling behind Nico Collins (8) and Tank Dell (7). He certainly made the most of them with the two touchdowns but it's also tough to look at this line and feel like it's sustainable enough to keep him on the WR1 line this year. Diggs is going to need to share targets each week and he honestly may be an early-season dynasty trade piece for savvy dynasty managers who see some up and down performances coming.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Anthony Richardson Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Anthony Richardson

Dynasty | Colts rookie receiver Adonai Mitchell had just one catch for two yards in the Colts opening day loss to the Texans. Dynasty Analysis: Mitchell clearly didn't do much in terms of points on the day but the big story is the fact Anthony Richardson missed him on what would have been two long touchdowns. While the line is a disappointment, anyone who watched the game can see Mitchell has real talent. It certainly looks like better days are coming, so Mitchell remains a solid hold or even buy low at the moment.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Bryce Young Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Bryce Young

Dynasty | Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed just 13-of-30 passes for 161 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in Carolina's opening day blowout loss to the Saints. Dynasty Analysis: Yikes. The talk all off-season in Carolina revolved around Young making great strides as a quarterback but today was a disaster for the franchise signal caller. After a borderline awful rookie season, today actually looked worse as Young could do little to move the offense. While it's not all his fault (the defense couldn't stop a cold), Young's performance is a major story from week one as he could simply kill the values of Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen and a whole host of others. Stay tuned, but this didn't look good.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Bryce Young Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Bryce Young

Dynasty | Panthers rookie receiver Xavier Legette had four catches for 35 yards in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: Legette did all he could on a day where Bryce Young struggled mightily. For what it's worth, his 7.5 fantasy points look like a win based on how inept the offense looked for the Panthers. Better days should be ahead but Legette should be firmly on benches until we see Bryce Young play at a level much, much higher.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Caleb Williams Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Caleb Williams

Dynasty | Bears quarterback Caleb Williams completed just 14-of-29 passes for 93 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Chicago's come-from-behind win against Tennessee. Dynasty Analysis: He "added" 15 yards rushing. Williams looked uncomfortable (as expected) in his debut and missed a few throws he'd certainly like to have back. He did have a nice two-point conversion throw but otherwise had a rough debut. There will be better days ahead but it's obvious Williams is not going to have a CJ Stroud-like run to start his career. Dynasty managers just need to hold tight as he continues to develop.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Caleb Williams Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Caleb Williams

Dynasty | Bears rookie receiver Rome Odunze had one catch for11 yards in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: It's hardly an indictment on Odunze as Caleb Williams threw for just 93 yards in his first NFL game. Odunze has obvious talent but currently finds himself in a distant third on the depth chart as his four targets trailed both DJ Moore (8) and Keenan Allen (11) by a large margin on the day. Odunze's future is bright but today illustrated a simple fact we've known all along - any dynasty manager with Odunze is going to have to be very, very patient.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Tony Pollard Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Tony Pollard

Dynasty | Titans running back Tony Pollard had 82 yards and a touchdown in his Titans debut. Dynasty Analysis: He also added three catches for 12 yards. The bigger story is obvious, though - Pollard had 19 touches on the day and "Co-RB1" Tyjae Spears had just eight. While the sample size is small, this would seem to indicate this race isn't quite as close as many thought. If Pollard continues to get this kind of workload, he's going to be squarely in the RB2 conversation, especially if he produces like he did today. Pollard's arrow seems to be pointing up.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Caleb Williams Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Caleb Williams

Dynasty | Bears running back D'Andre Swift had 30 rushing yards and failed to record a catch in Chicago's comeback win against Tennessee. Dynasty Analysis: On the plus front, Swift did have ten carries compared to two for Khalil Herbert. It's not much of a silver lining for anyone who started Swift but it's at least something positive. The Bears offense looked pretty anemic under rookie Caleb Williams and it seems clear it's going to take some time to click here. Swift likely belongs on fantasy benches moving forward until we see some semblance of rhythm to this unit.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Trey Benson Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Trey Benson

Dynasty | Cardinals rookie running back Trey Benson had 13 rushing yards in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: Benson added one catch for five yards on the day. Most concerning to Benson dynasty managers is the fact James Conner had 19 touches on the day, cementing the notion Benson is little more than a change-of-pace option at the moment. Conner (83 total yards and a touchdown) was effective on the day and that means early expectations for Benson should be tempered. Still, he's a valuable short-term handcuff and very nice dynasty hold for managers who can exhibit some patience.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Keon Coleman Sep 8 7:13pm CT
    Keon Coleman

Dynasty | Bills rookie receiver Keon Coleman had four catches for 51 yards in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: Coleman led the Bills in targets and catches on the day and that bodes well for his short-term value. The Bills were run-heavy today (33 rushes to 23 passes) but it's clear Coleman has earned his spot. He'll be a WR3 moving forward but dynasty managers should be encouraged by what they saw from the rookie today.
