Tyrone Tracy Jr. Aug 16 11:20pm ET
    Tyrone Tracy Jr.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. had 39 yards off seven touches in Saturday's win over the Jets. The 25-year-old had a chance to find the end zone in the first quarter. Unfortunately, after an unsuccessful attempt, Devin Singletary entered the contest and scored a touchdown off a one-yard run. Tracy finished his rookie season by amassing 839 yards off 192 carries while totaling six touchdowns. With Cam Skattebo (hamstring) still having trouble getting on the field, Tracy shouldn't have any issues getting the most touches, at least early in the 2025 campaign, giving him plenty of upside for fantasy managers. However, his lack of consistent involvement as a pass-catcher will limit his ceiling for PPR participants. Skattebo's power could also take away some of Tracy's red zone opportunities, especially near the goal line. The Giants will close out the preseason with a meeting with the New England Patriots on Thursday night.

Ryan Flournoy Aug 16 11:20pm ET
    Ryan Flournoy

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy converted three targets into two receptions for 27 yards during Saturday's preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens. One of the older rookies in the NFL last year, Flournoy was a 2024 sixth-round pick who caught 10 passes for 102 yards in his first pro campaign. He's trending toward making the team, but his roster spot is not yet guaranteed. The 25-year-old must continue to impress as training camp and the preseason wrap up. Jalen Brooks, KaVontae Turpin, and Traeshon Holden are some of the receivers near the bottom of the depth chart with whom Flournoy is competing for a roster spot.

Quentin Johnston Aug 16 11:20pm ET
    Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (head) has been diagnosed with a concussion after exiting Saturday's preseason contest against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh (via Daniel Popper of The Athletic). As a precaution, Johnston was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The 23-year-old suffered his injury while failing to catch a pass on the third play from scrimmage. He was down on the field for quite some time, but he was eventually able to stand up and walk to the cart with assistance from medical personnel. Johnston, a former first-round pick, has struggled to emerge as an alpha receiver through his first two NFL seasons. Specifically, drops have plagued the TCU product, who converted 91 targets into 55 receptions, 711 yards, and eight touchdowns last year. Those numbers are nothing to scoff at, but his productivity and dependability both fluctuated week-by-week in 2024, making him difficult to trust as anything more than a low-end WR3/FLEX option in fantasy football. Heading into the 2025 campaign, he faces added competition in the form of Keenan Allen and Tre Harris. Plus, the team's No. 1 receiver, Ladd McConkey, continues to trend upward ahead of his second NFL season. Even when Johnston clears concussion protocol, he'll be tough to trust in fantasy lineups.

Jonathan Mingo Aug 16 11:10pm ET
    Jonathan Mingo

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Jonathan Mingo was targeted four times during Saturday's preseason contest against the Baltimore Ravens, but he caught just one pass for 49 yards. All four of Mingo's targets came from Milton, suggesting that the young receiver has a role with the second-team offense. Milton enjoyed targeting Mingo deep downfield, as evidenced by his 49-yard reception. Milton also took a deep shot downfield to the receiver, but it was intercepted in the end zone. Mingo, 24, played in 17 games last season, splitting time with the Panthers and Cowboys. Through eight games with Dallas, he caught just five passes for 46 yards. He's slated to occupy a similar low-volume role once again this year, as he remains buried on the depth chart behind players like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jalen Tolbert.

    From RotoBaller

Roman Wilson Aug 16 11:10pm ET
    Roman Wilson

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson finished with two receptions for 72 yards on four targets in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The second-year pro did all of his damage in the contest's opening quarter. He ran past multiple defenders to secure a 42-yard deep ball from Mason Rudolph and later found space on a crossing route to gain 30 yards on a pass from Skylar Thompson. After a rookie season plagued by injuries, Wilson has shown promise heading into the 2025-2026 campaign. With teammate Calvin Austin III (abdomen) currently injured, Wilson has a clear path to earning the WR2 role behind D.K. Metcalf. The 24-year-old will look to build on this strong performance in Pittsburgh's final exhibition game against the Carolina Panthers.

    From RotoBaller

Miles Sanders Aug 16 11:10pm ET
    Miles Sanders

Dallas Cowboys running back Miles Sanders rushed for 15 yards on seven attempts during Saturday's preseason loss against the Baltimore Ravens. He was not targeted in the passing game. The veteran earned snaps in both the first and second quarters, but he was largely inefficient. Only two of his rushes went for more than three yards, and he averaged just 2.1 yards per carry. This is a concerning sign as the Cowboys continue to evaluate their running back room prior to officially naming a starter. Sanders is competing with veteran Javonte Williams, the early favorite for the lead-back role after not playing Saturday, and rookie Jaydon Blue (heel), who is dealing with an injury. Sanders is nothing more than a late-round dart throw who can be dropped if he doesn't produce in Week 1.

    From RotoBaller

Mason Rudolph Aug 16 11:00pm ET
    Mason Rudolph

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph completed three of his five pass attempts for 46 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also added seven rushing yards on one carry. Rudolph began his second straight exhibition start on a sour note when an underthrown pass to receiver Roman Wilson was picked off on Pittsburgh's opening drive. He bounced back later in the first quarter, connecting with Wilson on a perfect 42-yard strike over the middle of the field. Just three plays later, Rudolph hit wideout Brandon Johnson in the end zone from two yards out. The 30-year-old appears locked in as the Steelers' QB2 behind Aaron Rodgers, while rookie Will Howard (finger) continues to recover from a broken finger sustained earlier this month. The Carolina Panthers are on tap for Rudolph's final audition before the regular season.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Milton III Aug 16 11:00pm ET
    Joe Milton III

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton III completed just nine of his 18 pass attempts for 122 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception during Saturday's preseason loss against the Baltimore Ravens. He also took two sacks, including one for a safety. Milton continued to show some mobility and arm strength, but for the most part, he struggled against a solid Ravens defense. Specifically, his interception came on an ill-advised deep pass attempt to the end zone, where he overthrew his receiver and dropped the ball right into the hands of a lurking safety. Milton should still win the backup quarterback job over Will Grier, but he'd be tough to trust in fantasy football if Dak Prescott were to miss time.

    From RotoBaller

Russell Wilson Aug 16 10:50pm ET
    Russell Wilson

New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 108 yards and an interception off 4-for-7 passing in Saturday's victory over the Jets. The veteran signal-caller hasn't done much in the Giants' first two preseason contests. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart put together an impressive showing on Saturday night, accounting for two of the team's trips to the end zone. However, Wilson will remain the team's starter heading into the Week 1 NFC East clash with the Washington Commanders. While Wilson's position on the depth chart won't make him a trustworthy fantasy option, he still deserves starting consideration in Superflex formats. With that in mind, if he goes down with an injury or plays poorly, Dart may find himself under center. If that happens, Wilson may not be able to reclaim his place as the No. 1 option on the depth chart. The Giants will close out the preseason against the New England Patriots on Thursday evening.

    From RotoBaller

Jaxson Dart Aug 16 10:40pm ET
    Jaxson Dart

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart played well in Saturday's 31-12 win over the New York Jets. The rookie threw for 137 yards off 14-for-16 passing. He also accounted for two touchdowns, finding tight end Greg Dulcich in the third quarter for a 20-yard score before capping off his night with a trip to the end zone off a one-yard run. Dart, the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has looked good throughout the preseason. While Russell Wilson is the starter heading into Week 1, Dart should enter the equation at some point. He may not get a chance to start in 2025, limiting his redraft value. However, the 22-year-old has plenty of upside for dynasty managers. With two wins in the books, the Giants will close out the preseason on Thursday night versus the New England Patriots.

    From RotoBaller

MarShawn Lloyd Aug 16 10:10pm ET
    MarShawn Lloyd

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd was well-involved with the starting unit in the Packers' 23-19 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Green Bay's second preseason tune-up. Josh Jacobs' status as the Packers' top rusher is not in question at all, but behind him, there are questions with multiple backs vying for the remaining time and workload behind Jacobs. Lloyd has been out in front of players like Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks for most of training camp, and on Saturday, Lloyd saw six carries for 15 yards, plus a 33-yard reception from quarterback Malik Willis. As it stands now, Lloyd would be the player to draft as a contingency play if something were to happen to Jacobs during the regular season. He's worth drafting in the deepest leagues as a bench stash, but Lloyd is a name to keep in the back of your mind when looking for handcuffs for some of the top-end backs in fantasy.

    From RotoBaller

Chris Brooks Aug 16 10:10pm ET
    Chris Brooks

Green Bay Packers running back Chris Brooks looks to continue carving out a role in the Packers' backfield and stated his case in the Packers' 23-19 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday afternoon. Mixing in with MarShawn Lloyd, Brooks saw the second-most snaps with the Packers' starters per Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke. Seeing mostly late-down work, particularly on third down, Brooks may have an opening to see a little bit of work behind Josh Jacobs and Lloyd as the third running back, ahead of Emanuel Wilson. From Week 6 through the end of last season, Brooks averaged 15 snaps a game for the Packers in 2024 as the third back in a rotation with Jacobs and Wilson. Brooks looks to be in line for that same role this season, but unfortunately, it's not a fantasy-friendly role even with an injury ahead of him. Keep him undrafted or on waivers to begin the season.

    From RotoBaller

Emanuel Wilson Aug 16 10:10pm ET
    Emanuel Wilson

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson was a distant third in the running back pecking order as Green Bay squeezed by the Indianapolis Colts 23-19 in the Packers' second preseason contest. Wilson got his first touch early in the second quarter when MarShawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks were done for the day, and received his final snaps at the end of the first half. Totaling 65 total yards on five carries and one catch on two targets, Wilson led the Packers' skill-position players in total yards. Despite that, it seems like Wilson might be the odd man out in the running back room after the second preseason game. With Wilson seemingly fourth among running backs in Green Bay, he shouldn't be drafted in any fantasy leagues going forward.

    From RotoBaller

Malik Willis Aug 16 10:10pm ET
    Malik Willis

Green Bay Packers quarterback Malik Willis played the first three series for the Packers on Saturday afternoon as Green Bay edged by the Indianapolis Colts 23-19. Willis put up 83 passing yards on just 6-of-14 passing, as even if starting quarterback Jordan Love (thumb) had been healthy, Willis was likely starting this game anyway. With Love's injured thumb likely sidelining him for the preseason finale next week, Willis' snaps were probably handled a bit more cautiously as he's slated to start the season as Love's backup if needed. Love is expected to start for the Packers in Week 1 at home against the Detroit Lions, but Willis shouldn't be rostered in any fantasy football leagues unless the team rules out Love for the Packers' season opener.

Terry McLaurin Aug 16 8:40pm ET
    Terry McLaurin

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin "remains frustrated" regarding his contract situation. Fowler added that there are teams still interested in acquiring the wideout. However, the front office is optimistic both sides "can reach some sort of a compromise," although it won't be a situation where "he plays out the year of his contract or on a franchise tag next year." McLaurin is coming off a stellar season. He finished the 2025 campaign by amassing 82 catches for 1,096 yards while finding the end zone a career-high 13 times. The Commanders recently removed him from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. Still, the move doesn't mean a resolution to the standoff is on the horizon. With that in mind, the latest update from Fowler should at least provide some optimism for fantasy managers, especially for those who took a risk and selected McLaurin for their squads heading into Week 1.

    From RotoBaller

Xavier Gipson Aug 16 8:20pm ET
    Xavier Gipson

New York Jets wide receiver Xavier Gipson (shoulder) exited Saturday's preseason game against the Giants and is questionable to return. Gipson had already entered the contest with the same injury, making this setback concerning for the third-year receiver. Across his first two NFL seasons, the former Stephen F. Austin product has recorded 27 catches for 268 yards and one touchdown. Gipson is firmly on the roster bubble and needed strong preseason performances to secure his spot. His absence could open the door for Brandon Smith to carve out a role as the Jets evaluate their depth chart.

    From RotoBaller

Patrick Taylor Aug 16 8:10pm ET
    Patrick Taylor

San Francisco 49ers running back Patrick Taylor Jr. (shoulder) will miss the rest of the preseason after dislocating his shoulder in Saturday's 22-19 win over the Raiders. The veteran back logged minus-six yards on four carries before exiting, though the entire backfield struggled behind poor blocking. Taylor is competing with Isaac Guerendo and Jordan James for depth behind Christian McCaffrey, but both Guerendo and James are also dealing with injuries. That should bolster Taylor's roster security, especially with his proven special teams value. While not fantasy relevant, he is likely to open the season on the 49ers' 53-man roster.

    From RotoBaller

Matthew Stafford Aug 16 8:10pm ET
    Matthew Stafford

The Los Angeles Rams declined to comment on reports of quarterback Matthew Stafford's possible workout Saturday morning. Stafford has been absent from recent practices and has yet to appear in preseason action, leaving questions about his readiness for Week 1. Head coach Sean McVay is expected to provide clarity when he meets with the media Monday. Stetson Bennett IV started Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers in Stafford's place. The veteran remains the unquestioned starter when healthy, but at this stage of his career, he is best viewed as a two-quarterback or superflex league option only.

    From RotoBaller

Jalen McMillan Aug 16 7:50pm ET
    Jalen McMillan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan (back/head) was ruled out of Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers after taking a hard fall in the first quarter. The rookie wideout made a highlight-reel catch before being flipped by defensive back Daryl Porter and landing on his head. With Chris Godwin (ankle) still recovering from last year's injury, Tampa Bay's receiver depth is being tested early. If McMillan misses time, the Buccaneers will likely turn to Trey Palmer or rookie Emeka Egbuka to fill in. Fantasy managers should monitor updates, though McMillan profiles as a waiver-wire watch more than a redraft target.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Jefferson Aug 16 7:40pm ET
    Justin Jefferson

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) remains without a firm return date as he continues his recovery from a preseason injury. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Jefferson is "hopefully going to start doing more and more," but the team is being cautious with its superstar. Jefferson is coming off another elite season, posting 1,533 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024. With rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy preparing for his first year as a starter and Jordan Addison suspended to open the season, Jefferson's health is critical. He remains an early first-round fantasy pick this season.
