New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr has two top-15 performances since returning from injury in Week 9. His sudden resurgence is surprising as he has been missing receivers Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee), among others. Down his best pass-catchers, Carr has spread the ball out more and developed a rapport with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, to whom he has thrown four touchdown passes over the Saints' last three games. Since his return, Carr has thrown six touchdowns and no interceptions, and he has the seventh-highest completion percentage (68.5%) among regular starters since Week 10. On deck for New Orleans are the New York Giants, who have allowed a top-14 finish to opposing quarterbacks in seven of their last nine games. The Giants also allow the highest completion rate of pass attempts over 20 yards, setting Carr and MVS up for another big play on Sunday. With six teams on bye in Week 14, Carr holds appeal in two-QB formats and even in deeper single-QB leagues where the wire will be thinner.
From RotoBaller
This Sunday, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams presents a high-risk, high-reward fantasy option as he faces off against the San Francisco 49ers. Williams will look to build on his strong performance from Week 13, where he completed 20 of 39 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns in a win over the Detroit Lions. However, this week presents a far more formidable challenge. The 49ers rank 4th in the NFL in passing yards allowed, limiting opponents to just 190 yards per game. Adding to Williams' concerns are the injuries to two of his top playmakers, D'Andre Swift (quadriceps) and DJ Moore (quadriceps), both of whom are listed as questionable. While both players practiced on a limited basis Friday, their availability for Sunday remains uncertain. If Swift and Moore can suit up, Williams could be a borderline QB1 for Week 14. However, without them, it's hard to feel confident starting him in most fantasy leagues.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is set up for a big game in Week 14 against the New York Giants. The Giants allow the second-highest yards per carry (5.04) and the fifth-most PPR points per game to opposing running backs. Kamara ranks third in touches per game (22.1), and he will see plenty of action again on Sunday as the Saints are short on playmakers. Backup Jamaal Williams has been ineffective in his role, and Kendre Miller (hamstring) is listed as questionable. The Saints have been down multiple receivers for weeks, including top options Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee). The most recent blow came in Week 13 when Taysom Hill (knee) suffered a season-ending injury, robbing New Orleans of another weapon. Since quarterback Derek Carr returned from injury in Week 9, Kamara has seen the most total targets, and he should be among the team's leaders in the category in Week 14. Starting Kamara against the Giants is as easy of a decision as it gets for fantasy managers.
From RotoBaller
Due to injuries to key teammates, Travis Homer may transition from special teams ace to starting running back for the Chicago Bears in Week 14. Both D'Andre Swift (quadriceps) and Roschon Johnson (concussion) are dealing with injuries, which could open the door for Homer to get the nod. Swift was limited in Friday's practice after missing Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, while Johnson has already been ruled out for the game. With Johnson unavailable, Darrynton Evans is likely to serve as the backup to Homer, as he is currently on the Bears' practice squad. The 49ers defense is traditionally stronger against the pass than the run, making this an intriguing opportunity for the Bears' running backs. San Francisco is allowing 119.9 rushing yards per game, which could lead to significant fantasy production for whoever gets the start. If Swift and Johnson are both sidelined, Homer becomes an appealing deep-league play, especially for fantasy managers dealing with injuries or bye-week dilemmas.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) is listed as questionable in the team's final injury report ahead of its Week 14 matchup against the New York Giants. The second-year back spent the first six weeks on the sidelines while recovering from a preseason hamstring injury, only to see minimal action in two games before landing back on injured reserve. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi indicated in comments to the media on Friday that Miller was trending in the right direction, though he stopped short of confirming that he will take the field. Should the Saints deem him healthy enough for action, he will give the team an alternative to Jamaal Williams when Alvin Kamara needs a breather. Seeing as how Miller will be vying for playing time behind one of the most heavily used backs in the league, fantasy managers don't need to be in a rush to add him ahead of Sunday's game.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard will test his legs against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14, who rank third in fewest points allowed to halfbacks. In Week 13, Hubbard had his worst performance since Week 1, recording just 43 yards on 12 carries, no receiving targets, and a game-losing fumble in overtime. The concerns don't stop there, as Hubbard saw just 79% of offensive snaps on Sunday while rookie running back Jonathon Brooks took on a more significant role in the game plan. This was always the preseason concern for Hubbard managers, and it seems their fears could be coming true at an inopportune time. RotoBaller has Hubbard ranked as RB24 for Week 14.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson aims to bounce back in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints after a quiet Week 13 performance against Dallas, where he managed just 6 yards on two catches. Robinson has been a steady, short-area target this season, logging 63 receptions on 91 targets for 447 yards and two touchdowns, though his 7.1 yards per reception limits his big-play upside. The Saints defense, ranked 25th against fantasy wide receivers and 29th against the pass overall (249.1 yards allowed per game), provides an opportunity for a rebound, especially if Malik Nabers misses the game. Robinson's high floor as a possession receiver could see a boost in targets, making him a low-end flex option in PPR leagues for Week 14.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton looks to be a streaming option in Week 14 against a New Orleans Saints defense that ranks 25th against fantasy wideouts and 29th in pass defense, surrendering 249.1 passing yards per game. Slayton managed just two catches for eight yards on six targets in Week 13 against the Cowboys but remains a big-play threat with a season average of 14 yards per reception and five end-zone targets. With Malik Nabers potentially sidelined, Slayton could see an increased target share, boosting his fantasy value. The Saints have allowed 12 passing touchdowns this season, giving Slayton a chance to find the end zone for the first time since early in the season, making him a viable boom-or-bust flex play in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has been a reliable fantasy option since taking over as the starter in Week 5, averaging 14.59 fantasy points per game, ranking 20th among RBs in that span. In Week 13 against the Cowboys, he logged 32 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding 33 receiving yards on two catches, showcasing his versatility. This week, Tracy faces a New Orleans Saints defense that ranks 19th in points allowed per game (23.4) but is stout against the run, allowing just 15 rushing touchdowns all season. Despite the matchup, Tracy's 69.4% snap share last week and consistent 5.0 yards per carry on the year make him a solid RB2 with receiving upside in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants quarterback Drew Lock heads into Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints following a mixed performance in his Week 13 start against the Dallas Cowboys. Lock threw for 178 yards on 21 completions with no passing touchdowns, but his 57 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown salvaged a respectable 15.82 fantasy points. Facing a Saints defense ranked 29th against the pass (249.1 yards per game allowed), Lock has a favorable opportunity to rebound as a passer. However, the Saints' unit is still stingy against fantasy QBs, allowing just 15.06 FPPG (10th-best). While Lock's rushing upside boosts his floor, New York's shaky offensive line, which allowed six sacks last week, could limit his ceiling as a fantasy streaming option.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings faces a tough matchup in Week 14 when the team hosts the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Given the snowy conditions in Buffalo last week, Jennings did a commendable job, tying for the team lead in targets with five, and posting 56 of the 49ers' anemic 94 yards passing. Things are rough in San Francisco's offense right now, with an injury-riddled backfield and offensive line, which will continue to slightly dampen Jennings' prospects against Chicago. The main reason for pessimism, however, is the Bears' elite pass defense, which is fourth-best in the NFL at limiting half-PPR performances to fantasy wide receivers. In addition, the Bears run Cover-3 at the second-highest rate in the NFL and Jennings loses almost a full yard per route run against Cover-3. Consider Jennings a high-end WR3/FLEX at best in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker will look for another strong performance on Sunday Night Football in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Dicker has been solid and consistent in his sophomore season, much as he was his rookie year. He's finished as a top-15 fantasy kicker in nine of his 12 games, and a top-eight option six times. There's no reason to think he won't repeat a similar performance in what should be a close divisional clash.
From RotoBaller
The San Francisco 49ers defense/special teams unit will host rookie Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in Week 14. The Niners' D has done nothing to help fantasy managers since a decent showing in Week 11 versus Seattle, giving up 35-plus points in two straight road games in Green Bay and Buffalo. San Francisco is 21st in the league in sacks, 11th in takeaways, and 24th in points allowed. Edge Nick Bosa (hip, oblique) is doubtful, but they're otherwise relatively healthy. Chicago has done a great job taking care of the ball, with only nine offensive giveaways all year but their quarterbacks have been sacked at the second-highest rate in the league. Starting center Ryan Bates (concussion) is out for a third-straight game. At the skill positions, wideout DJ Moore (quad) and running back D'Andre Swift (quad) are questionable while backup running back Roschon Johnson is out with a concussion. The health of Moore and Swift will go a long way to determining the startability of the 49ers D/ST. As it stands, they are RotoBaller's 10th-ranked option in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has a good chance for a bounce back performance in a Week 14 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. When the two teams faced off earlier this season, Herbert only put up 11.2 fantasy points, finishing as the week's QB22. The Chargers have a much different offense now, though, and the Chiefs seemingly have a different defense as well. While the Chargers throwing the ball more, the Chiefs secondary has struggled a bit and allowed the eighth-most pass touchdowns since Week 8. Herbert had a down game last week (partly because the Chargers defense dominated the game), but he's in a good spot to return to a top-12 fantasy performance on this week's Sunday Night Football.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards is not a strong fantasy option in Week 14 despite at least nominally being the leader of the LA backfield. Edwards led the Chargers in Week 13 by being on the field for 52% of the offensive snaps, including 64% of the rushing plays, but he did not see a single snap in the red zone and has always been a non-factor in the passing game. Despite leading the backfield in plays, Edwards totaled just 33 total yards on seven touches. He may once again lead the backfield in Week 14, but the Chiefs elite run defense combined with the presence of Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal also in the backfield makes Edwards close to a must-sit outside of the deepest leagues.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal could see his role grow in a Week 14 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Vidal played behind Gus Edwards in Week 13 with J.K. Dobbins (knee) on IR, but Edwards has been ineffective all season while Vidal has shown some solid burst and strength. This could be the week that Vidal takes over as lead back, and that would clearly come with significant fantasy potential, but it's impossible to know for certain what the distribution of snaps and touches will be. Either way, it's a tough matchup as the Chiefs defense has been elite against opposing running backs. Vidal should be rostered in most formats by now, but another week on the bench is likely the safe option.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Hassan Haskins should still have a role in a Week 14 game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Haskins has been in a depth role all season, but he ended up playing 45% of the team's offensive snaps in Week 12. He was in on 15% in Week 13, but seemed to be kept off the field for the most part after a fumble early on. Still, with J.K. Dobbins (knee) out and Gus Edwards looking like he may be out of gas as a runner, Haskins could find himself with some red zone work. He's a low-ceiling, low-floor dart throw, but worth at least keeping an eye on in some deep leagues.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston is a risky option with some upside in a Week 14 Sunday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnston has been plagued by drops once again in his sophomore season, and he also has a hard time getting open in the secondary, but with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) questionable at best and possibly limited if he does play, Johnston could be the de facto WR1 for the Bolts against a Chiefs defense that has suddenly started struggling against opposing wide receivers. Johnston is a very risky WR4 option if McConkey plays, but he'd be boosted into the mid-range WR3 conversation if McConkey is forced to sit.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer could have some fantasy value in a Week 14 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer hasn't done much this season, peaking with a WR22 finish in Week 9 and finishing as a top-36 option at his position only twice. But this week, with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) questionable and possibly limited if he plays, Palmer could see a more important role in the passing game. The Chiefs defense is elite against running plays but has struggled against outside wide receivers, especially recently. If McConkey doesn't play, Palmer could be a deep league FLEX option.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly is set up for a strong comeback game in a Week 14 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Dissly put up a whole entire zero points last week, but he'd been a solid and consistent tight end option for several weeks in a row before that. The best bet is likely to chalk up the zero as a fluke and trust Dissly for another solid week of production, especially against a Chiefs defense that has allowed the most receiving yards and the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Dissly is right on the TE1/2 border, with a high floor (despite last week's zero) and a decently high ceiling. Both floor and ceiling go up significantly if Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) is unable to play.
