Dynasty | The Bills have released wide receiver Laviska Shenault. Dynasty Analysis: The former Jaguar, Panther, Seahawk, and Charger will again try to find work as a kick returner or rotational wideout. It's been a rough road for Shenault, who just hasn't been able to unlock what seemingly looks like great potential. His dynasty value is near zero at this point.
Dynasty | The Tampa Bay Bucs have released wide receiver Trey Palmer. Dynasty Analysis: Palmer has had some nice moments but also had no chance at playing time behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Emeka Egbuka when they're all healthy, so this could be a good thing. A deep roster stash in many leagues, Palmer will look to latch on elsewhere later this week. He could still be kept in deep leagues as we see what happens with him in the coming days.
Dynasty | The Cleveland Browns have released wide receiver Diontae Johnson. Dynasty Analysis: What a long, strange trip it's been for Johnson. He'll again be looking for work after spending time with the Steelers, Panthers, Texans, Ravens, and Browns all over the past year. For a player once viewed as a dynasty staple, it's been a precipitous fall from grace. Johnson may have some trouble finding a roster spot and he's going to find himself on a lot of dynasty waiver wires moving forward.
Dynasty | The Giants have released tight end Greg Dulcich. Dynasty Analysis: Once a highly thought of prospect when he was with the Broncos, Dulcich has battled injuries and ineffectiveness throughout the past few seasons. At this point, his early career struggles that have plagued him might create a quick burn in the NFL. He could find his way on to another roster but he's way off the dynasty radar again.
Dynasty | The Jets have released wide receiver Malachi Corley. Dynasty Analysis: Corley was the 65th overall pick just last season but things just didn't work out for him with the Jets. The fact he made it just one season after New York moved up in the draft to get him speaks volumes about where his career is at the moment. Corley has the pedigree to latch on somewhere else but dynasty managers may have to swallow their pride and let him go to waivers at this point.
Dynasty | Quarterback Desmond Ridder was released by the Cincinnati Bengals. Dynasty Analysis: Ridder was a one-time starter in Atlanta but failed to live up to expectations. He was battling Jake Browning to be the backup to Joe Burrow but it didn't work out for him in the end. Ridder should find work elsewhere but he can be dropped in any league, including deep superflex formats.
Dynasty | The Titans have placed running back Tyjae Spears on injured reserve. Dynasty Analysis: He will miss at least the first month of the season with an ankle injury. This is a disappointing development as he was battling for touches with Tony Pollard in what looked to be a pretty wide open time share. This could open the door for Julius Chestnut or Kalel Mullings to have some sneaky value behind Pollard, at least temporarily.
Dynasty | The Dallas Cowboys have placed wide receiver Jonathan Mingo on IR with a designation to return. Dynasty Analysis: It sounds like he's going to be out 4-6 weeks. While still a bit of a deep league sleeper, Mingo just hasn't looked great over the past two seasons. The Cowboys will go with CeeDee Lamb, Jalen Tolbert and George Pickens to start the year and it's tough to see Mingo making much of a difference after catching just five passes for them after being traded mid-year from the Panthers. Mingo is a tough hold in dynasty leagues, despite being a second round pick not long ago.
Dynasty | The Kansas City Chiefs have released running back Carson Steele. Dynasty Analysis: This move looks to possibly pave the way for both Elijah Mitchell and Brashard Smith to make the roster behind Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt. He had a 72-yard game early last season but only mustered another 111 yards the rest of the season. A bruising running back, Steele may end up back on the Chiefs practice squad but needs to be released from dynasty rosters.
Dynasty | The Packers have released wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Dynasty Analysis: Even the Chiefs may not be able to save Hardman's career this time after he failed to impress Green Bay this off-season. Hardman was famously signed by the Jets in 2023 only to be traded back to the Chiefs (his original team) mid-season. After attempting to leave Kansas City again, Hardman has again struggled. Now 27, opportunities may be tough to come by and he's nowhere near dynasty rosters.
Dynasty | The Browns have released running back Pierre Strong. Dynasty Analysis: This is a bit of a surprising move since Strong has always been moderately effective when called upon and with the status of Quinshon Judkins still up in the air. It also likely means Dylan Sampson is going to make the final roster. Dynasty managers should remain fixated on news the rest of the day to see what shakes out. Regardless, Strong's minimal dynasty value just went up in smoke.
Dynasty | The Saints have released running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Dynasty Analysis: It's another tough break for the one-time first round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. CEH has been plagued by injuries, ineffectiveness and an unfortunate battle with PTSD that has simply derailed his career. The Saints could bring him back but he's clearly behind Alvin Kamara, Devin Neal and Kendre Miller, making him value-less in dynasty leagues.
Dynasty | The Steelers have released wide receiver Robert Woods. Dynasty Analysis: It seems the Steelers are going with DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin, Scotty Miller, and Roman Wilson as their top receivers this year. It's another blow to Woods, whose career seems to be running on fumes at this point. While Pittsburgh could bring him back, Woods has no business being on dynasty rosters, even in deep formats. He's simply a roster clogger at this point.
Dynasty | The Eagles have released wide receiver Ainias Smith. Dynasty Analysis: This one is a little surprising as Smith reportedly had a solid camp. It could also mean dynasty darling Darius Cooper has made the team. Smith was battling for time behind AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and what looks to be a resurgent Jahan Dotson but failed to get the job done. His name should still be kept on watch lists as we move forward over the next few days as he clearly has ability but was on an impossible depth chart to crack.
Dynasty | The Seahawks have released running back Damien Martinez Dynasty Analysis: There was a time this off-season where it looked like Martinez was a lock for the final roster but he was severely outplayed by George Holani this preseason. It seems Seattle had seen enough of the two to move on from Martinez and make Holani their RB3. It's a surprising development and dynasty managers may simply need to cut Martinez and grab Holani (easier said than done) in their search for a sleeper running back.
The Miami Dolphins worked out free-agent kicker Eddy Pineiro on Tuesday, a source tells Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports. The Dolphins are looking for a new kicker to begin the 2025 regular season after they announced on Monday that Jason Sanders (hip) will be out for the the next four to five week with a hip injury. The 29-year-old Pineiro has been solid in his five NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, making 88.1 percent of his 126 field-goal attempts, including going 11-for-14 from 50-plus yards out. He spent the last three years in Carolina, going 80-for-90 on field-goal tries and 80-for-87 on his extra points in 49 games. Pineiro has been productive the last three seasons, but if he signs with Miami and opens the year as their starting kicker, he'll be a deep-league kicking streamer, at best.

The Seattle Seahawks are releasing running back Damien Martinez on Tuesday, sources told Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Martinez was taken by Seattle in the seventh round (223rd overall) last year, but he did not play at all in his first year in the NFL. The Seahawks will move forward with Kenneth Walker III, Zach Charbonnet, George Holani, Jacardia Wright and Anthony Tyus III in their backfield for now heading into the start of the 2025 regular season. The 21-year-old Martinez shouldn't take long to latch on with another team as RB depth, but for right now, he remains off the fantasy radar in most leagues. Martinez is big for a running back (6-foot, 217 pounds), but he still has intriguing speed and could resurface elsewhere as a interesting developmental prospect. He ran for 1,002 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 at Miami.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing veteran wide receiver Robert Woods on Tuesday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. However, the door is open for a possible return if Woods doesn't get picked up by another team before the start of the regular season in early September. The 33-year-old plans to play either way in 2025. Even before the release of Woods, Pittsburgh's receiver depth chart was thin behind DK Metcalf. Behind Metcalf, the Steelers currently have Calvin Austin III (abdomen), Roman Wilson, Scotty Miller and Ben Skowronek. Wilson is the favorite to open the year as the WR3. Woods, who is heading into his 13th year in the NFL, caught just 20 of his 30 targets for 203 yards and no touchdowns in 15 regular-season games (four starts) in 2024 with the Houston Texans. He's nearing the end of his career and is well off the fantasy radar.

The Cleveland Browns are expected to release running back Pierre Strong Jr. (concussion), sources tell Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Before being released, Strong suffered a concussion in the team's preseason finale on Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams. The 26-year-old will hit the open market looking for a new team to latch on with before the start of the regular season in two weeks. Strong was originally a fourth-round draft pick (127th overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2022 NFL draft out of South Dakota State. He spent just his rookie year in New England before playing with Cleveland the last two years. In his three years in the league, Strong has averaged a healthy 5.0 yards per carry while rushing for 499 yards and two touchdowns on 99 rushing attempts over 46 games (one start). He's well off the fantasy radar for now.

The New Orleans Saints plan to terminate the contract of running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, a source tells Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football. Edwards-Helaire was originally the 32nd overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 out of LSU, but he never really panned out after running for 803 yards and four touchdowns in 13 starts in his rookie season. The 26-year-old joined the Saints last year but played in only two games and carried the ball 13 times for 46 yards, catching three of five passes for 24 additional yards. CEH will now be looking to join his third NFL team before the start of the 2025 regular season, but he's well off the fantasy radar in all formats. The Saints are moving forward with starter Alvin Kamara in their backfield, with Kendre Miller, Velus Jones Jr., rookie Devin Neal and Marcus Yarns backing him up.
