Marquise Brown Jul 23 9:42am CT
    Marquise Brown

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown is a possible candidate to be a punt returner this season, according to head coach Andy Reid.

Jacoby Brissett Jul 23 9:33am CT
    Jacoby Brissett

New England Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett is the 'most pro-ready guy we have,' according to head coach Jerod Mayo.

Fantasy Spin: Brissett is the favorite to start over first-round pick Drake Maye for now. It's early, and Maye figures to take over at some point. Both are QB2s in fantasy, but Maye is the more attractive fantasy option.

Chop Robinson Jul 23 8:50am CT
    Chop Robinson

The Miami Dolphins are signing pass rusher Emmanuel Ogbah, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. The deal came to fruition after Ogbah's successful workout with the team on Monday. Miami was in need of reinforcements on defense with Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) and Bradley Chubb (ACL) not expected to be ready for Week 1 and Shaquil Barrett unexpectedly announcing his retirement last weekend. Ogbah spent the last four seasons in Miami before being released at the start of the offseason. In 2023, he played 15 games, tallying one interception, one forced fumble, and 5.5 sacks. The 30-year-old will compete for a starting job to take some of the pressure off rookies Chop Robinson and Mohamed Kamara in 2024.

Haason Reddick Jul 23 8:40am CT
    Haason Reddick

New York Jets pass rusher Haason Reddick will continue to hold out as training camp gets underway, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Reddick skipped minicamp and continues to take a firm stance on his contract status with the regular season just six weeks away. The Jets acquired Reddick from the Eagles this offseason, hoping to benefit from a player who demonstrates availability and dominance. (He registered 11 sacks last year and has never missed a game throughout seven seasons.) While he seeks a new contract with just one year remaining on his current deal, we recently heard that the team is not expected to give him a new deal. It's unclear just how long this holdout will continue, but the two sides are clearly at an impasse as training camp gets underway across the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers Jul 23 8:40am CT
    Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) officially reported to training camp on Tuesday morning, according to a photo posted on the team's official X account. Rodgers had previously skipped minicamp and was subsequently fined, but he's back at the Jets' facilities as training camp gets underway across the NFL. Rodgers is looking to make a big impact in 2024 after suffering a torn Achilles during his first game with the Jets last year. Fantasy managers who believe Rodgers can get back on track might salivate at his current ADP of 133, which makes him the 20th quarterback off the board in redraft leagues. The Jets have struggled with quarterback play in recent years, but pairing Rodgers with a talented group of weapons such as Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall might just be the recipe for success.

Haason Reddick Jul 23 8:33am CT
    Haason Reddick

New York Jets LB Haason Reddick isn't expected to report to training camp. Reddick is due $14.25 million in the final year of his deal after the Jets traded for him in March, and he's seeking an extension. Reddick is subject to $50,000 per-day fines for each absence.

Matthew Stafford Jul 23 8:30am CT
    Matthew Stafford

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was not among the many players who reported to training camp on Monday night, according to Cameron DaSilva of The Rams Wire. While we don't have an official word on Stafford's absence, it's likely related to his ongoing contract impasse with the Rams. Stafford, who still has three years left on his existing deal, reportedly wants to restructure his contract so that he gets more guaranteed money and possibly a pay raise, too. Oftentimes, these impasses get resolved during the summer months (or the player gives in and tables discussions until the following offseason). However, that's not always the case, and Stafford's veteran status could prompt him to take a firmer stance on the whole ordeal. His presence (or lack thereof) will be a storyline that fantasy managers should continue to monitor as the 2024 season inches closer. For now, Stafford has an ADP of 121 in redraft leagues, making him the 19th quarterback off the board in drafts. He was the overall QB15 last year after tossing for 3,965 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Nyheim Hines Jul 23 8:20am CT
    Nyheim Hines

Cleveland Browns running back Nyheim Hines (knee) is still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered during a jet ski accident last summer, but the team believes he could compete to be their third-down back and primary kick returner if healthy, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic. Specifically, Jackson notes that Hines could compete with Jerome Ford and D'Onta Foreman for the backup role if Nick Chubb (knee) is cleared for Week 1, but that would put Chubb well ahead of schedule. If Chubb needs more time to recover, Ford would likely handle early downs while Hines rotates in on third down. Hines specialized as both a returner and pass-catcher during his first four years in the league with the Indianapolis Colts, ultimately catching 103 passes for 792 yards and four touchdowns between 2020 and 2021. He played more of a special teams role after being traded to the Buffalo Bills in 2022 but did still show an ability to catch passes. Despite this new optimism about Hines' recovery and role for the upcoming season, he's still not a very intriguing name in fantasy football leagues. His ceiling is the backup role with pass-catching upside, but his floor is likely No. 4 on the depth chart (and a heavy dose of special teams snaps) once Chubb returns. This uncertainty keeps him off the fantasy radar in most redraft leagues, where he currently sports an ADP of 526 (134th among running backs).

    Emmanuel Ogbah

Free-agent DE Emmanuel Ogbah (Dolphins) agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Miami Dolphins Tuesday, July 23.

    From TheHuddle

Jerome Ford Jul 23 8:10am CT
    Jerome Ford

Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford enters 2024 with a chance to sit atop the depth chart, but his exact role will depend on the status of Nick Chubb (knee) and Nyheim Hines (knee), according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic. Both injured running backs are recovering from ACL tears, with Chubb working his way back from a gruesome knee injury sustained during a carry near the goal line last season and Hines dealing with the effects of a terrible jet ski accident last summer. Jackson notes that Ford could open the year as the Browns' No. 1 running back if he has a strong training camp and Chubb isn't cleared by Week 1; as of now, a Week 1 return would seem unlikely for Chubb, who also tore his MCL and meniscus on the same play. On the other hand, if Chubb progresses faster than expected, Ford could find himself competing for the backup role with the likes of Hines and D'Onta Foreman. This lack of clarity poses a challenge for fantasy managers trying to finalize their draft strategy. However, given the severity of Chubb's injury, it seems unlikely that he'll play in the season opener, and even if he does, he'll probably have a reduced role. Therefore, Ford should have enough early-season volume to make him a solid RB3/FLEX option for the first few weeks of the campaign (and perhaps even after Chubb returns). His ADP of 115 gives him a 10th-round price tag and slots him in as the 38th running back off the board in redraft leagues.

    Ja'Marr Chase Jul 23 12:13am CT
    Ja'Marr Chase

Dynasty | The Bengals have no intention of signing wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to an extension this off-season. Dynasty Analysis: Chase is under contract for two more seasons, so there isn't a huge sense of urgency here. However, the Bengals already have one disgruntled receiver in Tee Higgins and need to get all of this settled sooner rather than later. Regardless, Chase is one of the top three assets in all of dynasty fantasy football and he should be with the Bengals for a long time, regardless of the delay.

Derrick Henry Jul 23 12:13am CT
    Derrick Henry

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry is attempting to become just the fourth running back in the past decade to rush for 1,000 yards in the NFL at the age of 30 or older, joining retired RBs Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore, and current Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert.

Fantasy Spin: The Ravens certainly paid Henry like they expect him to contribute that kind of yardage, and he rushed for 1,167 yards last season in a lesser offense. Even at age 30 and with a lot of mileage, Henry remains a solid RB2 with top-10 upside.

Marcus Davenport Jul 22 10:40pm CT
    Marcus Davenport

The Detroit Lions placed defensive lineman DJ Reader (quadriceps), edge rusher Marcus Davenport (ankle) and defensive back Brian Branch (ankle) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Monday, meaning they will not be able to practice with the team for the start of training camp this week. This was fully expected for Reader, who tore his quadriceps last year while playing for the Cincinnati Bengals. The 30-year-old has been one of the NFL's most productive interior defenders the last eight years and is expected to play a big role on the interior of Detroit's D-line when he's healthy. He's not a fantasy option in IDP leagues, though, with only 9.5 career sacks in eight years in the league, although he's produced at least 32 QB pressures in each of the last three seasons.

Rome Odunze Jul 22 10:20pm CT
    Rome Odunze

Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze has impressed head coach Matt Eberflus with his maturity. "I think he knows himself really well," Eberflus said of Odunze. "Very mature for his age. He's a wonderful teammate and he's going to be exciting to watch," Eberflus also shared. After Odunze caught 92 passes for an FBS-leading 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns in 15 games at Washington in 2023, the Bears chose him at ninth overall in the NFL draft to form one of the league's preeminent supporting casts for No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams. Odunze has plenty of upside as a WR3/4 pick in the second half of drafts this summer, but while working alongside D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet in Chicago's offense, he'll need the attack to run at a higher tempo and become more pass-oriented to avoid getting lost in the shuffle. The 22-year-old wideout is ranked by RotoBaller as the WR45 overall, with an ADP of 69 ahead of training camp this week.

Tua Tagovailoa Jul 22 9:40pm CT
    Tua Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa could opt to not participate in any practices until he receives a new contract. Tagovailoa is still expected to report for training camp this week, but he's in the final year of his rookie deal with the Dolphins and is searching for a long-term extension. It's not clear at this point where the two sides are at in this regard, and it's be something for fantasy managers to keep an eye on throughout camp. The 26-year-old star signal-caller was a first-time Pro Bowler a season ago, leading the league in passing yards (4,624) while registering career-high marks in completion rate (69.3%) and touchdown passes (29) with 14 interceptions over 17 starts in Miami's high-powered offense. Tagovailoa remains safe to draft this summer as a low-end QB1 starter without much rushing upside in the later rounds after the top-tier options are off the board, with RotoBaller ranking him as the QB12 overall.

    From RotoBaller

Evan McPherson Jul 22 8:30pm CT
    Evan McPherson

According to Cincinnati Bengals owner/president Mike Brown, kicker Evan McPherson and the team have discussed a contract extension. "We've been talking," said Brown on Monday. "We're hoping we can get there with him." The 25-year-old has been a solid fantasy asset over the last three seasons, making 83.9% of his kicks in 49 appearances. He's also gone 21-for-28 from beyond the 50-yard line. Without question, McPherson has been instrumental to Cincinnati's success, so there's a good chance a deal will get done sometime soon.

Trevon Diggs Jul 22 8:20pm CT
    Trevon Diggs

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) is expected to begin training camp on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list. The 25-year-old appeared in just two games last season before suffering an ACL tear during practice ahead of the Week 3 meeting in Arizona. Fortunately, he has made progress in rehab since then. However, the team will take a cautious approach by not rushing things. Diggs has appeared in 47 games for Dallas since entering the league in 2020, totaling 173 tackles, 18 interceptions, and two touchdowns. Diggs can be removed from the list as soon as he passes a physical. But the Cowboys defense will suffer until he's ready to suit up.

    From RotoBaller

Rashod Bateman Jul 22 8:10pm CT
    Rashod Bateman

According to Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, wide receiver Rashod Bateman is expected to be a "top receiver" in the NFL. "Rashod's been working to make plays," said Harbaugh, addressing the media following Monday's practice. "To see him come out and make those catches, those are great catches. Traffic catches, one catch he plucked off the ground there. I was excited, everybody was fired up about it." Bateman, who received a contract extension this offseason, hasn't met expectations since entering the league, amassing only 93 receptions for 1,167 yards and four touchdowns. He's also been limited to 35 games due to injury. With that said, the 24-year-old likely hasn't reached his ceiling from a potential standpoint. However, the Ravens offense is loaded with capable producers, so it could be tough for anyone not named Lamar Jackson to remain consistently involved for fantasy managers.

    From RotoBaller

Brandon Aiyuk Jul 22 7:50pm CT
    Brandon Aiyuk

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk officially requested a trade nearly a week ago after not securing a contract extension from the team. While there is still time to rectify the situation, the wideout is at least drawing support, with tight end George Kittle openly expressing his admiration for his teammate. "Aiyuk's just a phenomenal football player," Kittle told NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. "He does everything you want him to do as a wide receiver. So, yes, getting Brandon Aiyuk the money that he deserves -- I hope nothing for the best for him." The 26-year-old is due to make just over $14 million this season on the fifth-year option. But as long as both sides remain at a stalemate, Aiyuk's fantasy outlook won't get much brighter despite coming off a 1,342-yard, seven-touchdown 2023-24 campaign.
