The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Thursday that they completed an interview with New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown for their general manager position. Brown is the fifth known candidate that the Jaguars have interviewed for their GM position this week, joining Buffalo Bills director of player personnel Terrance Gray, Cincinnati Bengals senior personnel executive Trey Brown, Los Angeles Rams director of scouting strategy James Gladstone and San Francisco 49ers director of scouting and football operations Josh Williams. Jacksonville is looking for a new GM after firing Trent Baalke following the 2024 season. Brown has been in his current role with the Giants since 2022 and previously spent five years with the Philadelphia Eagles and two years with the Indianapolis Colts.

    Clyde Edwards-Helaire

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the New Orleans Saints re-signed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday. Edwards-Helaire began the 2024 season with the Kansas City Chiefs but opened the year on the Non-Football Illness list while dealing with mental-health issues. The former 32nd overall pick by the Chiefs in 2020 out of LSU never played in a regular-season game for KC last year before being waived in December and picked up by the Saints as additional depth for a banged-up backfield. The 25-year-old ended up playing in two games for the Saints, carrying the ball 13 times for 46 yards and adding three catches for 24 yards. CEH, who has averaged 4.2 yards per carry in his five NFL seasons, will now work out with New Orleans this offseason and attempt to win a roster spot in training camp. He'll be facing an uphill battle for a significant role on offense in 2025.

Tank Dell Feb 13 4:50pm CT
    Tank Dell

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said that wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) is "on the right track" in his recovery from a devastating knee injury that he suffered in 2024. "We'll see where he ends up," Ryans said. Dell has a long way to go in his recovery from a torn ACL, MCL and LCL, but it's nice to hear that things are going well early on. Despite Ryans' statement, there remains a pretty good chance that the 25-year-old won't be able to play at all in 2025 after needing multiple surgeries to fix the extensive damage to his left knee. And when the speedy deep threat does return for the Texans, he may never be the same. In addition to tearing all those ligaments, he dislocated his knee and suffered damage to his meniscus. In 14 games before his injury, Dell had 51 catches, 667 yards and three touchdowns on 81 targets. We'll continue to provide updates on Dell's long road to recovery

Maxx Crosby Feb 13 4:50pm CT
    Maxx Crosby

Las Vegas Raiders All-Pro pass-rusher Maxx Crosby (ankle) said on Thursday that he's making good progress in his recovery from surgery for a left high-ankle sprain. "Got off the scooter, now I'm in a boot, and I'll get the boot off Monday. I'm A-plus across the board, as far as Dr. Anderson... I'm in a great place right now," Crosby said. The 27-year-old aggravated his ankle injury in Week 14 and eventually need a tightrope procedure on his ankle in December, which landed him on Injured Reserve to end the year. Barring a setback with his ankle recovery this offseason, Crosby figures to be a full-go for training camp this summer and for the start of the 2025 regular season in the fall. The former fourth-round pick in 2019 out of Eastern Michigan has made the Pro Bowl each of the last four seasons and should remain a high-end D-line target in IDP leagues despite his ankle injury in 2024.

Derek Carr Feb 13 4:40pm CT
    Derek Carr

New head coach Kellen Moore made it absolutely clear on Thursday in his introductory press conference on Thursday that he plans to call the plays for the New Orleans Saints offense in 2025. "We like to use a lot of tempo every place that I've been," Moore said. "We'll use shifts and motions when we huddle, but we want to stress the defense." Moore had three top-10 passing offenses as the offensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys, including a pair of No. 2 finishes. As the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, he helped the team win Super Bowl LIX over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles ranked seventh in points and eighth in the NFL in yards, while running back Saquon Barkley had 2,000-plus rushing yards during the regular season. The Saints' No. 1 order of business with Moore in tow will be to figure out their QB situation and to decide if they want Derek Carr back.

    D.K. Metcalf Feb 13 4:40pm CT
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak said he has a specific plan to best use wide receiver DK Metcalf in the team's offense and to maximize is freakish physical talents. "Down-the-field threat. Strong, physical player. Extremely excited about getting to work with him, and his physical presence. Brings a lot, can bring a lot, to our offense," Kubiak said. Extra defensive attention for Metcalf freed second-year wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba up for 100 catches and a breakout season, but the Seahawks want more out of the 27-year-old Metcalf, who finished with 992 receiving yards, his fewest since 2021. He also had his second straight 66-catch season after a career-high 90 catches in 2022 and a career-low five TDs. Kubiak was with the Vikings the first couple years of Justin Jefferson's career, and fantasy managers will be hoping Kubiak looks to target Metcalf as much as he did Jefferson back then.

Alvin Kamara Feb 13 4:10pm CT
    Alvin Kamara

It sounds like New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara will remain a big part of the offense under new head coach Kellen Moore in 2025. "Obviously one of the premiere players in our league, his ability to play in the pass game and the run game, all the different versatile roles that he can play. And so that's been a really important piece. It'll continue to be a really important piece," Moore said at his opening press conference on Thursday. Kamara isn't getting any younger and is entering his age-30 campaign -- typically the age when RBs begin breaking down -- but he didn't slow down in 2024 and had 1,493 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns while remaining active as a pass-catcher (68 receptions). The quarterback position is a question mark for the Saints this offseason, but with Moore calling plays, Kamara should remain heavily involved and enter the fall as a low-end RB1 in fantasy, at worst.

Aaron Rodgers Feb 13 2:13pm CT
    Aaron Rodgers

Dynasty | The Jets have informed Aaron Rodgers of his release. Dynasty Analysis: The combination of Rodgers being woefully ineffective and apparently unwilling to conform to the expectations of a new regime led to this expected outcome. Rodgers was apparently given some new parameters to abide by, including attending more off-season activities and staying away from his controversial media appearances on multiple shows. Rodgers clearly balked at these new expectations and that left the Jets little choice. As for A-Rod, he'll be a true free agent for the first time in his career. Unfortunately, it's hard to see many teams looking at him as a viable starter after he's proven to be a shell of his former self the past year or so. This ultimately could be the end. Rodgers is still roster worthy at the moment, but that could change soon.

Tyquan Thornton Feb 13 2:13pm CT
    Tyquan Thornton

Dynasty | Former Patriots wide receiver Tyquan Thornton has signed with the Chiefs. Dynasty Analysis: The Pats used a second round pick on Thornton in 2022 but he produced just 39 catches for 385 yards and two touchdowns over 28 games and three seasons. He's unlikely to do much with the Chiefs and has little dynasty value, but he's still worthy of being on watch lists at the moment.

Phillip Dorsett Feb 13 2:13pm CT
    Phillip Dorsett

Dynasty | The Falcons have signed free agent wide receiver Phillip Dorsett. Dynasty Analysis: Once a first round pick of the Indianapolis Colts, Dorsett has posted just over 2,000 career receiving yards and 12 touchdowns over 94 career games with Indianapolis, New England, Jacksonville, Seattle, Houston, and Denver. The journeyman wideout could add some depth to Atlanta, but he's still far off the dynasty map.

Trevor Lawrence Feb 13 10:30am CT
    Trevor Lawrence

Regarding a recent report from 93.7 The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi that the Pittsburgh Steelers inquired about a trade for Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, a Jaguars source said there's "no chance" they will trade Lawrence and called the idea "ridiculous," according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. The Steelers may or may not have reached out to the Jags about Lawrence, but despite an injury-plagued and disappointing season for the 25-year-old in 2024, Jacksonville plans to build around the former first overall pick under new head coach Liam Coen rather than trade him away. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, is at a crossroads at the QB position with both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields scheduled to hit free agency next month. They are expected to re-sign only one of them. With better health in 2025, Lawrence could be a rebound candidate under Coen after playing in a career-low 10 games last year.

Travis Hunter Feb 13 10:30am CT
    Travis Hunter

According to The North Jersey Bergen Record's Art Stapleton, University of Colorado Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter will enter this month's NFL combine in Indianapolis as a cornerback. Hunter, who has been projected to go as early as No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans in the 2025 NFL draft in April, is an elite athlete that was a two-way player at Colorado, playing both cornerback and wide receiver. Long-time NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. called Hunter a "generational talent" that shouldn't fall outside of the first five picks in this year's draft. "If I'm looking at that, Travis Hunter is the guy, I think. He can be an elite receiver. He can be a heck of a corner, you can figure that out," Kiper said. Hunter had 1,258 yards and a Big 12-leading 15 touchdowns last year, adding 36 tackles and four interceptions as a cornerback.

Aaron Rodgers Feb 13 10:20am CT
    Aaron Rodgers

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the New York Jets have officially informed quarterback Aaron Rodgers that they are moving in another direction, and he'll be a free agent. This was the expectation for Rodgers after the Jets brought in a new general manager and head coach following a disappointing 2024 season in which the team once again missed the playoffs. The 41-year-old tore his Achilles in Week 1 of the 2023 season and finished 2024 with 3,897 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games and failed to ignite the offense like the Jets thought he would when they initially signed him. The four-time MVP and future Hall of Famer was willing to stay with the Jets for another season, but now that they are moving on, it remains to be seen if he'll want to continue playing. If he does, several teams could be interested in a one-year deal for Rodgers to serve as a bridge QB.

James Cook Feb 13 9:30am CT
    James Cook

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is seeking a contract extension with the organization. He wants a deal that would pay him $15 million per year. On Wednesday, Cook went on Instagram Live and specifically said, "15 mill." The former Georgia Bulldog is entering the final season of his rookie deal after rushing for at least 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons. Cook found the end zone 18 times in 2024. A $15 million salary would put Cook as the second-highest-paid running back in the NFL behind only Christian McCaffrey.

Anthony Firkser Feb 12 9:30pm CT
    Anthony Firkser

The Kansas City Chiefs re-signed tight end Anthony Firkser to a Reserve/Futures deal on Wednesday. Firkser began the 2024 season with the New York Jets before finding his way to the Chiefs and ending the year on their practice squad. The 29-year-old tight end was active for seven total games with the Jets and Chiefs last season but was not targeted at all on offense. He will now stick with Kansas City and train with the team this offseason before trying to grab a 53-man roster spot this summer in training camp as depth at the position. The Harvard alumni debuted in the NFL in 2018 with the Tennessee Titans and spent his first four years in the league in Tennessee before bouncing around with the Falcons, Lions, Jets and Chiefs. Firkser has caught 115 passes for 1,207 yards and five touchdowns on 153 targets in his seven years in the NFL.

Taysom Hill Feb 12 9:20pm CT
    Taysom Hill

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on Tuesday that it's hard to imagine that tight end Taysom Hill (knee) will be back with the New Orleans Saints in 2025. Hill is recovering from a season-ending torn left ACL last December and will carry an almost $18 million salary cap hit into next season, so the Saints' front office has a decision to make on the Swiss Army Knife player this offseason. He'll have a $10 million base salary (not guaranteed) in 2025, and the rest is in the form of a prorated signing bonus. The 34-year-old faces a nine-month recovery and will most likely not be ready for the start of the 2025 season. The Saints could get creative and look to restructure his deal, but cutting him isn't out of the question, either, as he's also been linked to retirement rumors. Hill was once again extremely unpredictable for fantasy purposes in 2024, with three of his six rushing touchdowns coming in one game.

    C.J. Ham Feb 12 9:20pm CT
    C.J. Ham

Minnesota Vikings fullback C.J. Ham (ankle) had a "simple procedure" done on his ankle on Wednesday. Ham was on the team's injury report with an ankle injury toward the end of the 2024 season, but he didn't miss any games. The 31-year-old veteran fullback shouldn't face a lengthy recovery timeline after having a minor surgery on his ankle and should be able to take part in most of the team's offseason workouts. He will not be anywhere near the fantasy radar once again going into the 2025 campaign after seeing only two carries for 10 yards and one touchdown and adding five receptions on six targets for 35 yards through the air in 17 regular-season games in his eighth year with the Vikings in 2024. In his eight NFL seasons, Ham has only 39 rushing attempts for 114 yards and four TDs and has caught 82 passes for 670 yards and two TDs in 130 games played.

Dak Prescott Feb 12 9:10pm CT
    Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring) said on Wednesday that his "health is good" and that he's "looking to amp it up here recently" in his rehab from a season-ending torn right hamstring that he suffered on Nov. 3. Prescott still has plenty of rehab left to do, but signs are encouraging that he could be ready to take part in Dallas' offseason workouts if everything continues to trend in a positive direction. It was a disappointing season all around for the Cowboys in 2024, but things went from bad to worse after Prescott's injury. The 31-year-old three-time Pro Bowler was underwhelming in his eight starts before getting hurt after a career year in 2023 in which he threw for 4,516 yards and a league-high 36 touchdowns. Prescott threw for 1,978 yards, 11 TDs and eight picks in 2024 and will see his fantasy stock drop heading into 2025 while coming off a major injury with new head coach Brian Schottenheimer now calling offensive plays.

Taysom Hill Feb 12 9:03pm CT
    Taysom Hill

New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (knee) could be cut in the offseason, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Fantasy Spin: Hill will likely miss some of the 2025 season as he recovers from a torn ACL, and the Saints are in a tough situation in terms of the salary cap. If the Saints move on from Hill, fantasy owners will have to hope his next team is willing to take advantage of his versatility.

Tyquan Thornton Feb 12 7:50pm CT
    Tyquan Thornton

The Kansas City Chiefs signed wide receivers Justyn Ross, Tyquan Thornton and Jason Brownlee, safety Deon Bush, tight end Baylor Cupp, defensive tackles Siaki Ika and Fabien Lovett, offensive tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick, quarterback Chris Oladokun and cornerbacks Darius Rush and Eric Scott to Reserve/Futures deals on Tuesday. Ross and Thornton are the biggest names of the group. Ross, 25, spent the majority of the 2024 season on KC's practice squad and didn't catch his only target while being active for two regular-season games in Weeks 9 and 10. The former undrafted free agent out of Clemson caught six of 11 targets for 53 yards and no touchdowns in 10 games in his rookie season in 2023. Thornton, 24, was a second-round pick by the Patriots in 2022 out of Baylor but was waived in November after catching four of eight targets for 47 yards in six games for New England.
