Brandon Aiyuk Sep 17 12:20pm CT
    Brandon Aiyuk

With San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) set to miss a couple of weeks with a calf strain, Brandon Aiyuk is now set up to serve as the team's WR1 heading into a divisional matchup in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams. Aiyuk played only 60% of the offensive snaps in the Week 1 win over the New York Jets after a lengthy contract hold-in during training camp this summer. He played 87% of the snaps in the Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but through two games, Aiyuk has been a fantasy disappointment with six catches on 10 targets for 71 yards and no scores. Despite the poor start, fantasy managers need to keep the 26-year-old locked into starting lineups for Week 3 with Samuel sidelined. In addition to Aiyuk being more involved, receiver Jauan Jennings should operate as the WR2, while tight end George Kittle will also have a safer target floor for as long as Samuel is out.

Dalvin Cook Sep 17 12:20pm CT
    Dalvin Cook

When asked if Dallas Cowboys running back Dalvin Cook will be called upon to boost the running game in Week 3 versus the Baltimore Ravens, owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan, "I don't necessarily see a change that would involve Cook this week." Cook was signed late in training camp to give the Cowboys more running back depth behind Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn. The 29-year-old is currently on the practice squad and will likely have to wait at least another week before Dallas considers adding him to the 53-man active roster. Cook says he's much healthier than he was last year, when he averaged a career-worst 3.2 yards per carry on 67 rushing attempts for the New York Jets in 15 games, but as of right now, he doesn't offer much of an upgrade to what the Cowboys already have in their backfield.

Justin Fields Sep 17 12:10pm CT
    Justin Fields

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced on Tuesday that the plan is for quarterback Justin Fields to make another start in Week 3 against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday. The team is "readying itself" for Fields, while Russell Wilson (calf) won't be a full participant in practices just yet this week. "We'll stay in that mindset until something happens," Tomlin said. Fields hasn't been amazing in two starts to begin the year, but he's led the Steelers to two wins, hasn't turned the ball over and has completed a career-high 69.8% of his passes. For now, Pittsburgh isn't going to rush Wilson back from his calf strain, and if Fields continues to play well, there's a chance that Wilson may not get the starting job back. In addition to taking care of the football, the 25-year-old Fields has carried the ball 22 times for 84 yards. He'll be a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues in Week 3 versus the Bolts.

Joe Mixon Sep 17 12:10pm CT
    Joe Mixon

Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon (ankle) injured his ankle in the Sunday night win over the Chicago Bears, but his injury isn't considered a long-term one after he underwent an MRI exam on Monday, according to league sources. Mixon left the game under his own power before limping into the medical tent, and he eventually returned to the game. The 28-year-old only played seven offensive snaps after returning to the contest and finished with just nine carries for 25 yards while catching three of five targets for 25 yards through the air. Mixon's status for the Week 3 contest against the Minnesota Vikings is unknown at this time, but we should have a better idea of his availability once the team resumes practicing on Wednesday. If Mixon is limited at all or out this weekend, Cam Akers and Dameon Pierce (hamstring) would be in line for bigger roles.

Britain Covey Sep 17 8:50am CT
    Britain Covey

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Britain Covey caught all six of his targets for 23 yards during the team's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The second-year receiver saw the second-highest target share of the night behind DeVonta Smith and was much more effective than preseason acquisition Jahan Dotson. With A.J. Brown (hamstring) set to miss a couple of games, Covey should remain a staple in the Eagles' passing attack, especially on short passes and screen plays. While it may not equate to a ton of fantasy value, he is a worthwhile addition in dynasty formats and a floor play in deep PPR leagues heading into the team's Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Dallas Goedert Sep 17 8:50am CT
    Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert caught three of four targets for 38 yards during the team's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The veteran was expected to see a larger target share with star receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) out this week, but depth receiver Britain Covey saw six targets, and backup Grant Calcaterra got involved with a couple of targets of his own. Atlanta's defense is no slouch, but this was an underwhelming fantasy performance for Goedert given the Brown injury. He will look to get more involved next week against a red-hot New Orleans Saints team.

Saquon Barkley Sep 17 8:40am CT
    Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley took 22 carries for 95 yards and caught four of five targets for 21 yards during the team's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The 27-year-old had a great performance throughout the contest but had a costly drop on 3rd and 3 that would have sealed the win for the Eagles. Despite that blunder, Barkley was a fantasy stud again without finding the end zone this week. With none of the other backs ever really getting involved and star wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) set to miss a few more games, Barkley is set up to be a top-five option again in Week 3 as the Eagles will take on the New Orleans Saints.

Jahan Dotson Sep 17 8:40am CT
    Jahan Dotson

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson disappeared in Week 2 with two targets and one catch for six yards on Monday against the Falcons. With A.J. Brown (hamstring) ruled out of this game, Dotson was a popular waiver-wire addition this week and turned in a dud in a seemingly good spot for him. Britain Covey (six catches for 23 yards) was more involved than Dotson in this game, further frustrating those who took a flier on Dotson this week. The Penn State product, who came to the Eagles in an offseason trade with Washington, has just three targets in two games this season and is tough to trust moving forward even if Brown misses more time.

DeVonta Smith Sep 17 8:40am CT
    DeVonta Smith

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught seven of 10 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown during the team's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. With A.J. Brown (hamstring) out for this game, and likely a few more, the Eagles' No. 2 receiver played the No. 1 role and made multiple clutch grabs including a seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give the Eagles their first lead of the game. Outside of Britain Covey, who had six targets, Smith was the only player to see a high target share and should remain a safe WR2 with top-12 upside as long as Brown misses time. The 25-year-old will face off against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.

Kyle Pitts Sep 17 8:30am CT
    Kyle Pitts

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts saw four targets and hauled in three catches for 20 yards in the team's win over the Eagles on Monday night. The talented tight end was a bit quiet in this one with most of his work coming on underneath routes. Wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Moody were the main threats in the passing game in this one. Pitts should remain a good option in this offense this season and there will likely be better games ahead for him. This was a disappointing week for Pitts' fantasy managers but that is the reality of the tight end landscape in fantasy this season. He should still be counted on as a weekly starter at the position.

Younghoe Koo Sep 17 8:30am CT
    Younghoe Koo

Atlanta Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo connected on all three of his field goal attempts and made his lone extra point in the team's win over Philadelphia on Monday night. The trusted kicker was perfect on the night with a long of 39 yards. Koo is one of the best kickers in the league and showed why on Monday night, despite not having any very long opportunities. Continue to fire up Koo at the kicker position in fantasy lineups each week.

Jalen Hurts Sep 17 8:20am CT
    Jalen Hurts

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 23 of 30 passes for 183 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding 13 carries for 85 yards and an additional score during the team's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. This was the first game in quite a while that the 26-year-old looked like the rushing quarterback that led the Eagles to the Super Bowl, and even with the costly turnover at the end of the game, he was a top-tier fantasy option in Week 2. He did this against a solid Falcons defense and no top target as A.J. Brown (hamstring) missed this game and will likely miss a few more. Fantasy managers should be encouraged by this performance and have hope that Hurts will be the fantasy force he was drafted to be moving forward. The Eagles signal caller will be a top-five option next week in a showdown against the impressive New Orleans Saints.

    Ray-Ray McCloud Sep 17 8:20am CT
    Ray-Ray McCloud

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III racked up five targets in Week 2 against the Eagles and caught three passes for 42 yards. McCloud was behind fellow receivers Drake London and Darnell Mooney (seven targets each) in the pecking order in this game but he remained fairly involved in the game plan for the second straight week. He added one rush for three yards as the Falcons looked for ways to get McCloud the football in space. With London and Mooney looking good and each catching a TD pass, it remains to be seen how valuable McCloud will be in this offense this season. But the first two weeks are somewhat encouraging.

Tyler Allgeier Sep 17 8:10am CT
    Tyler Allgeier

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier saw more work in Week 2 in the team's win over Philadelphia. Allgeier garnered 10 touches with nine carries for 53 yards and one catch for 12 yards. It was a solid game for the Falcons' backup running back behind Bijan Robinson and a positive sign moving forward. Allgeier is a good runner and would be a valuable commodity with more opportunities. However, with Robinson dominating the workload it is tough to see too much standalone value for Allgeier in fantasy. But the BYU product still should be rostered in most fantasy leagues due to his potential should Robinson get injured or should he become more of a focal point of the offense.

Chris Wormley Sep 17 12:23am CT
    Chris Wormley

The Baltimore Ravens signed DL Chris Wormley to the practice squad Monday, Sept. 16. He is a former third-round pick by the team in 2017.

Dallas Goedert Sep 17 12:13am CT
    Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert ended up with three catches for 38 yards on four targets in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons Monday, Sept. 16.

Fantasy Spin: Goedert has been limited to seven catches for 69 yards on nine targets through two games with no scores. He has been posting TE2-type numbers so far. He'll look to get on track in Week 3 in New Orleans, but he shouldn't be considered a TE1 outside of deeper leagues right now.

    From TheHuddle

Darnell Mooney Sep 17 12:10am CT
    Darnell Mooney

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney delivered a standout performance in the Falcons' win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Mooney recorded 88 receiving yards on three catches, including a 41-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Kirk Cousins. He shared the team lead in targets with Drake London and led the team in receiving yards. Mooney added receptions of 21 and 26 yards on consecutive plays during Atlanta's game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, setting up the decisive touchdown by London. After a disappointing season with the Chicago Bears, where he managed just 414 receiving yards and one touchdown, Mooney is making significant strides with his new team and quarterback. His growing chemistry with Cousins suggests a promising future, and he enters Week 3's matchup against the Chiefs with solid momentum. He is a viable flex option in deeper leagues moving forward.

Saquon Barkley Sep 16 11:53pm CT
    Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley rushed 22 times for 95 yards in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons, while adding four receptions for 21 yards on five targets Monday, Sept. 16.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley had a chance to salt the game away, and potentially take a swing pass in for a touchdown, but he had a key drop which led to a loss. Fantasy managers were disappointed about the missed opportunity. We'll see if there is any kind of a hangover from the disappointment, or if Barkley bounced back with a vengeance in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints.

    From TheHuddle

Drake London Sep 16 11:50pm CT
    Drake London

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London delivered a standout performance in the team's narrow victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. London finished the game with 54 yards on six receptions, including the crucial game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. Before the Falcons' decisive drive, London had managed only four catches for 42 yards. With the Eagles adding a 28-yard field goal to take a six-point lead, the Falcons faced a critical situation with just 1:39 left on the clock. Atlanta orchestrated a drive from their own 30-yard line to the Eagles' end zone, thanks to quarterback Kirk Cousins completing 4-of-5 passes. London contributed with a five-yard reception to set up a first-and-goal at the seven-yard line, and he secured the game-tying touchdown with a 7-yard catch from Cousins. Although London and Cousins are still building their chemistry, Monday's performance marked a significant improvement from Week 1. London is expected to see ample opportunities in the upcoming Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs, where the Falcons will likely need to stay aggressive in the passing game to keep up with Patrick Mahomes.

Bijan Robinson Sep 16 11:40pm CT
    Bijan Robinson

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had an impressive performance in the Falcons' narrow win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Robinson was a key contributor, carrying the ball 14 times for 97 yards, averaging an impressive 6.9 yards per carry. He also added 25 yards on four receptions. In the first half, Robinson was particularly effective, rushing for 72 yards on 10 carries against the formidable Eagles front seven. He was then slowed down more by the Eagles defense in the second half. Robinson has seen a big workload so far in 2024, even as backfield mate Tyler Allgeier saw only five fewer carries Monday. Robinson is set to play a significant role in the Week 3 Sunday night game against the defending champion Chiefs.
