Malik Taylor May 12 8:40pm CT
    Malik Taylor

The Detroit Lions announced on Monday that they signed free-agent tight end Luke Deal, wide receiver Malik Taylor and defensive lineman Raequan Williams while waiving tight end Caden Prieskorn in a corresponding move. Deal, Taylor and Williams impressed Detroit's coaching staff enough after trying out in the team's rookie minicamp over the weekend. Deal will provide depth for the Lions behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright if he makes the team after recording 17 catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns in 65 games (19 starts) over six seasons at Auburn. Taylor was on Injured Reserve all of last year with the New York Jets due to an undisclosed injury, but evidently he's healthy now. The 29-year-old entered the NFL in 2020 with the Green Bay Packers and has just nine catches on 13 targets for 93 yards and one touchdown in 28 games (one start) over three seasons.

    Cole Fotheringham

The Denver Broncos signed free-agent tight end Cole Fotheringham, wide receiver Kyrese White and inside linebacker Jordan Turner after their rookie minicamp over the weekend, according to the team. The team also signed log snapper Zach Triner, who joined the team in April but was released ahead of rookie minicamp. In corresponding moves, the Broncos waived cornerback Kendall Bohler, nose tackle Christian Dowell, linebacker K.J. Cloyd and tight end Thomas Yassmin. Rookie punter Jeremy Crenshaw was placed on the exempt/international player list and won't count against the team's 90-man roster limit. Fotheringham has one career catch with the Raiders and also spent time on Houston's practice squad in 2024. White caught 44 passes for 526 yards and three touchdowns in 12 starts in his final season at Utah State last year. They will battle for 53-man roster spots this summer.

Jayden Reed May 12 8:20pm CT
    Jayden Reed

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst met last week with wide receiver Jayden Reed's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, to clarify Reed's status in Green Bay after the team took receivers Matthew Golden (first round) and Savion Williams (third round) in this year's NFL draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Packers told Reed it will not affect his status as their top receiver, according to a source. The 25-year-old caught 55 of 75 targets for 857 yards and six touchdowns in 17 regular-season games (10 starts) while carrying the ball 20 times for 163 yards and another score on the ground in his second NFL season. Reed dislocated his shoulder in the playoff loss to the Eagles and disappointed his fantasy managers in the second half of the season, averaging 29.6 receiving yards and 3.6 targets after the Week 10 bye. He's explosive with the ball in his hands, but he's a boom/bust WR3/flex play, at best.

Asante Samuel Jr. May 12 8:20pm CT
    Asante Samuel Jr.

Cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. (neck) is one of the top free-cornerbacks in this year's class, but he's still waiting to sign with a new team after he had neck surgery in April, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Samuel visited with the New Orleans Saints on Monday. The 25-year-old defensive back has a checkup scheduled in early July, after which he'll reconvene with several interested teams. Samuel plans on returning to the field in 2025 after making just four starts with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024 due to neck and shoulder injuries. The former second-rounder (47th overall) in 2021 out of Florida State has 176 tackles (148 solo), six interceptions, 37 pass breakups and a fumble recovery in 50 regular-season games (47 starts) for the Bolts since entering the league in 2021. He should definitely latch on with a new team before training camp in July.

Sean Payton May 12 8:10pm CT
    Sean Payton

The Denver Broncos will travel to Kansas City to face the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day in 2025 on Prime Video in Week 17. The game could come with plenty of playoff implications late in the season. The Chiefs have dominated the AFC West in the last decade, winning nine straight division titles from 2016 to 2026, but the Broncos are looking to change that this year with head coach Sean Payton and second-year quarterback Bo Nix, who led the team to the postseason in 2024 for the first time since 2015. The Chiefs narrowly beat the Broncos in Kansas City a year ago on a blocked field goal before the Broncos beat KC in a blowout in the Week 18 regular-season finale when the Chiefs rested all of their starters before the playoffs.

Gabriel Davis May 12 4:00pm CT
    Gabriel Davis

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting former Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills free-agent wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) on a visit on Monday, a source tells FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. The Jaguars released Davis with a failed-physical designation last Wednesday. The 26-year-old continues to recover from the knee injury he dealt with in 2024, but he's expected to be fully healthy for the 2025 regular season. Davis was a disappointment for the Jags and fantasy managers a year ago, as he set career-lows in catches (20), targets (42), receiving yards (239) and touchdowns (two) while playing only 10 games (nine starts). He should be able to bounce back if healthy, though, and he'd provide the Niners with a field-stretching presence in the passing game with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) potentially not being ready for the start of the year. Still, Davis would be a volatile boom/bust fantasy receiver in San Fran.

    Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah May 12 3:40pm CT
    Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

The Cleveland Browns placed linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Monday, meaning he will miss the entire 2025 season due to a serious neck injury that caused him to miss the team's final nine games last year. Before his injury, the 25-year-old former second-round pick (52nd overall) in 2021 out of Notre Dame had 61 tackles (39 solo), three sacks, 10 tackles for loss, an interception and a forced fumble in eight starts for the Browns. It's a tough blow for Cleveland's defense, as Owusu-Koramoah had been a key member of their defensive unit the last two years, including his first Pro Bowl nod in 2023, when he had a career-high 101 tackles (72 solo), 3.5 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, five QB hits, two interceptions, six pass breakups and a forced fumble in 16 games (13 starts).

Jaydon Blue May 12 3:30pm CT
    Jaydon Blue

The Athletic's Jon Machota writes that he thinks Dallas Cowboys running backs Javonte Williams, Jaydon Blue, Miles Sanders and Phil Mafah will end up getting almost all of the backfield work for the team in 2025. Machota sees Williams being the leader early in the season, but eventually the rookie Blue will get more carries and lead the team in rushing. Machota thinks that by the end of the year, Blue, a fifth-round pick this year, will be their No. 1 RB. The 21-year-old Texas product is staying in state and will bring much-needed speed to Dallas' backfield this year. The 5-foot-9, 196-pounder isn't all that big, but he should complement the power of both Williams and Sanders well and provide a nice change-of-pace option with some pass-catching upside. Volume will certainly be a concern early on in Blue's rookie season, but he's not a bad late-round sleeper target for fantasy managers that wait at the position.

Abdul Carter May 12 3:20pm CT
    Abdul Carter

New York Giants rookie first-round pass-rusher Abdul Carter was being worked out at linebacker during the team's rookie minicamp over the weekend during individual periods. However, the Giants plan on using Carter everywhere -- at edge rusher, inside, and dropping back -- according to SNY's Connor Hughes. The 21-year-old has impressive and elite physical gifts, so the G-Men plan on using him in as many ways as they can to maximize his potential after taking him third overall in this year's NFL draft out of Penn State. Carter could become a force in IDP fantasy leagues sooner than later for a Giants pass-rush that already features Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux. In his final season with the Nittany Lions, Carter racked up 12 sacks and a whopping 23.5 tackles for loss, showing just how disruptive he can be in the backfield.

Cam Skattebo May 12 3:20pm CT
    Cam Skattebo

SNY's Connor Hughes says not to be surprised if New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo ends up being the team's third-down back in 2025. Skattebo is a capable blocker and was very good as a receiver out of the backfield for Arizona State in 2024. The 23-year-old's dad was a receiver and used to drill him on the fundamentals of route-running, so he could already be the team's most talented pass-catching back. Hughes also writes that there were comparisons after the NFL draft of Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Skattebo recreating the team's old backfield of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. Skattebo is stocky at 5-foot-9, but he's not the physical back that Jacobs was. The fourth-rounder has unique fantasy upside as a potential powerful workhorse down the road, but the presence of Tracy might make him fantasy relevant only in PPR leagues in 2025.

Jaxson Dart May 12 3:10pm CT
    Jaxson Dart

SNY's Connor Hughes writes that rookie first-round quarterback Jaxson Dart looked comfortable, confident and in control during rookie minicamp over the weekend. Dart didn't look unsure of himself or jittery when deciding to make passes, which impressed Hughes. The Ole Miss product has a unique throwing motion, but that doesn't mean he's lacking in arm talent. Most of his passes at minicamp were within 15 yards of the line of scrimmage and they were impressive fastballs. Dart had two good days in a row in minicamp, which is good, but it should be taken with a grain of salt this early in the offseason. The 21-year-old is hoping to become New York's next franchise signal-caller, but after the Giants added both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency this offseason, Dart is fully expected to sit and learn in his rookie season in 2025.

Trey Hendrickson May 12 11:50am CT
    Trey Hendrickson

Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson said there hasn't been any communication with the team regarding a potential long-term contract extension "between my camp and the organization post draft." "The offers prior to the draft did not reflect the vision we shared and were promised last offseason if I continued to play at a high level. Coaches are aware of these past conversations. Rather than using collaboration to get us to a point to bring me home to the team, THEY are no longer communicating. I have been eagerly awaiting a resolution of this situation, but that's hard to do when there is no discussion and an evident lack of interest in reaching mutual goals," Hendrickson said in a statement. The Bengals continue to say they want to bring the 30-year-old back as he enters the final year of his current deal, but they've done nothing to back that up. It appears Hendrickson is running out of patience.

James Pearce Jr. May 12 11:20am CT
    James Pearce Jr.

The Atlanta Falcons signed rookie first-round edge rusher James Pearce Jr. to a four-year, fully guaranteed deal on Monday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Falcons made a big trade back up -- they gave up a second-rounder this year and a first-rounder next year -- into the first round of this year's draft to take Pearce with the 26th overall pick to help bolster the defensive side of the ball. The team also took linebacker Jalon Walker at 15th overall. Pearce was originally a potential top-five draft pick before he underwhelmed a bit in his senior season at Tennessee with 7.5 sacks. His size is a question mark for an outside edge rusher, but Pearce's athleticism isn't in question. The Falcons are hoping their selections of both Pearce and Walker pay off immediately and boost their pass rush in 2025.

The NFL announced on Monday that the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will square off to open the 2025 regular season this fall in Week 1 on Thursday Night Football on Sept. 4. The Eagles and quarterback Jalen Hurts and All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley will look to get things started on the right foot in defense of their Super Bowl title in Brian Schottenheimer's first game as the head coach for Dallas. The Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott, who is coming off a torn hamstring in 2024, will also be looking to start out strong after going a disappointing 7-10 last year and missing the playoffs.

Kaleb Johnson May 12 11:10am CT
    Kaleb Johnson

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie third-round running back Kaleb Johnson knows he must improve his pass-blocking skills if he wants to earn the coaching staff's trust with the hope of becoming an "every-down back" sooner than later. At 6-foot-1, 225 pounds, Johnson led the Big Ten in rushing yards (1,537), rushing touchdowns (21) and all-purpose yards (1,725) at Iowa in 2024. He's a scheme fit for Pittsburgh's zone-centric offense given his efficient production, writes The Athletic's Mike DeFabo. Even if the 21-year-old doesn't catch a ton of passes, he could stand out in fantasy with his big-play ability. There's opportunity in the Steel City, too, with Najee Harris no longer in town. Johnson is likely going to share touches with Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell, but he probably has the highest fantasy upside of the trio already.

Woody Marks May 11 8:10pm CT
    Woody Marks

The Houston Texans have signed fourth-round rookie running back Woody Marks to a four-year, $5.2 million deal. Houston traded up to acquire the rights to the USC alum, sending a future third-rounder to the Miami Dolphins. Marks was a four-year player at Mississippi State and a prolific pass-catcher, particularly in his first two collegiate seasons when he totaled 143 receptions, 770 yards, and three touchdowns. He slowed down from there, but still caught at least 47 balls in two of his final three campaigns, including his last at USC. The 24-year-old isn't a burner, but don't confuse him with an early-down thumper. He's a decisive runner who trusts his blocking and possesses enough burst and shake to get to and through the second level consistently. Teammate Joe Mixon is the unquestioned RB1 in Houston, but there's little reason to think Marks couldn't challenge for backup duties. Due to his prowess as a receiver out of the backfield, seeing him garner snaps in those situations early on wouldn't be surprising.

Christian Barmore May 11 7:50pm CT
    Christian Barmore

Former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Isaiah Iton has agreed to terms on a one-year, $840,000 contract with the New England Patriots. The Houston native signed as an undrafted free agent with Tennessee following the 2024 NFL Draft, but did not make the team's active roster. Instead, he spent the entirety of last season on the Titans' practice squad. Iton spent his three collegiate seasons with two schools, transferring to Rutgers to complete his senior year after two campaigns with Ole Miss. Over 36 games at the college level, the 23-year-old amassed an unremarkable 62 tackles, one sack, and five tackles for loss. He'll compete for snaps on the Patriots' defensive front and is currently listed third at right-defensive end (unofficially) behind teammates Christian Barmore and Joshua Farmer.

Jaylon Smith May 11 7:20pm CT
    Jaylon Smith

Free agent linebacker Jaylon Smith has agreed to terms on an undisclosed contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news. The soon-to-be 30-year-old last suited up briefly with the Raiders back in 2023, but was released after one appearance and found no new work in 2024. In an attempt to restart his career, Smith was held on a tryout basis during Las Vegas' minicamp over the weekend and made a good enough impression to get a shot at the team. The Notre Dame product was a productive player during his last full season (2020), racking up 154 tackles in 16 games, and more recently accruing 88 takedowns over 13 contests as a Giant in 2022. A veteran presence in the Raiders' linebacker room would be a welcome addition, but there's no telling what kind of condition he'll be in after nearly two years off. He likely operates in a depth role on defense, with the opportunity for more depending on his performance.

    Kevin Winston Jr.

Tennessee Titans rookie running back Kalel Mullings (abdomen) is recovering from offseason core-muscle surgery and will be limited at the team's rookie minicamp, according to the Nashville Post's John Glennon. Additionally, rookie safety Kevin Winston Jr. (knee) is not participating at minicamp, although he's getting closer to a return from his knee injury. The 22-year-old Mullings was taken in the sixth round of this year's NFL draft. When he's cleared from his injury, he will compete for the RB3 role in Tennessee in his first year in the league behind running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears. Mullings won't have any redraft fantasy value in 2025 unless one of Pollard or Spears miss time with injury. Winston, who was taken in the third round, is recovering from a torn right ACL that caused him to miss most of the 2024 season at Penn State.
