Michael Pittman Jr. Dec 23 12:20am CT
    Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught 2-of-3 targets for 19 yards and no touchdowns in a 38-30 win over the Titans on Sunday. With Jonathan Taylor running wild on the Tennessee defense, quarterback Anthony Richardson wasn't tasked with airing it out much in this one, completing only seven passes in the game. Josh Downs returned to being the "preferred" receiving option in this one, logging three catches on four targets, but both receivers probably have a similar chance to lead the receiving corps next week. In Week 17, the Colts will take on the Giants, a defense that has been good at limiting fantasy production to receivers but one of the worst against running backs, so look for Taylor and Richardson to carry the load again next Sunday. That likely leaves Pittman Jr. as a dicey WR3/4 option with fantasy championships on the line.

Rico Dowdle Dec 23 12:20am CT
    Rico Dowdle

Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle rushed for just 23 yards on 13 carries during Sunday's Week 16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also caught each of his three targets for an additional 28 yards through the air. Although Dowdle's pass-catching work was solid, his inefficiency on the ground counteracted some of the production he delivered through the air. Even in PPR leagues, this was Dowdle's worst fantasy outing since he took over as the Cowboys' No. 1 running back over veteran Ezekiel Elliott. The 26-year-old gets another tough matchup next week against the Philadelphia Eagles, who held Brian Robinson Jr. to just 24 rushing yards and two fumbles on Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

Cooper Rush Dec 23 12:10am CT
    Cooper Rush

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush completed 26 of 35 pass attempts for 292 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He took just one sack in the effort. All in all, this was a solid showing for Rush. While fantasy managers would have liked to see him pad his stats with one more touchdown, it's tough to complain about nearly 300 yards and turnover-free football. The 31-year-old signal-caller helped fantasy managers in a huge way on Sunday night, but his path gets much tougher next week against a Philadelphia Eagles secondary that has been one of the NFL's best this year.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Allgeier Dec 23 12:00am CT
    Tyler Allgeier

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier logged 11 carries in Sunday's 34-7 win over the Giants as the offense leaned heavily on the run game in Michael Penix Jr.'s first start, however, the 24-year-old managed to gain just 22 scoreless yards (2.0 YPR) on those opportunities. Meanwhile, backfield mate Bijan Robinson was able to gain 94 yards on 22 attempts (4.3 YPR) and found paydirt twice. Allgeier added one catch for nine yards in the contest, but overall it was a bland performance so hopefully managers still alive in the fantasy playoffs were able to find other worthy substitutes if needed. The BYU product gets a juicy matchup versus the Commanders' rush defense that is one of the worst in the league in yielding fantasy production to running backs, but the third-year pro is likely no better than a low-end flex play in Week 17.

    From RotoBaller

Ryan Miller Dec 23 12:00am CT
    Ryan Miller

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Ryan Miller caught two passes for 17 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Furman product has not been a dependable fantasy option this season, but he has shown promise at times. In Week 8, he converted five targets into three receptions. The next week, he caught his first career touchdown. One week later, he played 85 percent of the snaps. As the Buccaneers scrambled to replace Chris Godwin (ankle), Miller was one of the candidates to get more involved, but he's still a few rungs below players like Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepard, and Trey Palmer in the pecking order.

    Ray-Ray McCloud Dec 23 12:00am CT
    Ray-Ray McCloud

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III was limited to just 19 yards in Sunday's 34-7 win over the Giants, hauling in three of the four targets he saw from rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. It wasn't a great day for fantasy for the Falcon wideouts in the young QBs first start as Atlanta leaned heavily on the rushing attack with the running backs logging 33 attempts in the contest. Now, after a three-game stretch of heavier-than-normal involvement, McCloud III has had back-to-back duds with a total of four catches for 33 yards combined in the last two games. The 28-year-old will get a somewhat easier matchup in Week 17 versus a middle-of-the-road Washington pass defense, but hopefully managers have other options at this point.

    From RotoBaller

Bucky Irving Dec 22 11:50pm CT
    Bucky Irving

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He also caught all three of his targets for an additional 24 yards through the air. Although the Buccaneers were upset on the road by the Cowboys, Irving still had a good game, breaking several tackles and scoring a touchdown to keep his fantasy managers happy. Perhaps most importantly, he had 16 carries while Rachaad White had just three. It's safe to say that Irving has officially taken over as the Buccaneers' primary ball-carrier, and he'll continue to rank as a high-end RB2 option in fantasy football going forward. He should be started in all leagues when the Buccaneers take on the Carolina Panthers next week.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Downs Dec 22 11:50pm CT
    Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs caught three of four targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-30 win over the Titans. While it doesn't sound like much, the three catches were a team-high and so were the targets and the yardage total as quarterback Anthony Richardson was asked to throw the ball just 11 times in the game while the rushing attack racked up 335 yards. The 23-year-old has three catches in three consecutive games and at least three in 11 of the 12 games he's played, giving him a reliable floor. However, with meager yardage totals more often than not and sporadic TDs, it'll be hard to trust him next week in fantasy championships as anything more than a WR3 in a showdown with the Giants. New York has been surprisingly good at limiting wide receivers in fantasy production, perhaps in part because they are awful against the run, so Richardson and Jonathan Taylor will likely be relied upon to carry the load again.

    From RotoBaller

Payne Durham Dec 22 11:50pm CT
    Payne Durham

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Payne Durham caught five of his seven targets for 29 yards during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The 24-year-old has primarily operated in a depth role for most of this season, but he was given increased opportunities to produce this week with Cade Otton (knee) sidelined. A product of Purdue, Durham more than doubled his season-long production on Sunday night alone, but he'll likely return to a depth role off the fantasy radar if Otton returns in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers.

    From RotoBaller

Jalen McMillan Dec 22 11:50pm CT
    Jalen McMillan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan caught five of his seven targets for 57 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The rookie has been a terrific contributor for Tampa Bay this season, filling in admirably as the team's No. 2 wide receiver with Chris Godwin (ankle) done for the year. McMillan has come on particularly strong lately, catching 14 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns over his last three games. He has found the end zone in three consecutive contests, cementing himself as a very strong WR3/FLEX option moving forward. He should continue to be started in most leagues ahead of next week's matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Ricky Pearsall Dec 22 11:50pm CT
    Ricky Pearsall

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was marginally involved during a 29-17 loss to the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday. The first-round pick caught all four of his targets for 37 yards. After missing the early part of the year due to a gunshot wound, Pearsall's production escalated each game from Week 7 to Week 10, culminating in a 17.3 half-PPR performance at Tampa Bay. Any fantasy optimism quickly fizzled out though, as Pearsall then recorded three straight goose eggs. Sunday's modest performance was the most productive Pearsall has been since the aforementioned Bucs game. The 49ers will almost certainly need to make full use of their passing attack in Week 17 when the Detroit Lions bring an elite offense to Levi's Stadium, but Pearsall will be nothing more than a deep-league prayer, barring an injury ahead of him.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Evans Dec 22 11:40pm CT
    Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans caught just five of his eight targets for 69 yards during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Evans was the Buccaneers' leading receiver, but managers would have liked to see him rack up a little more production or find the end zone with a potential berth in the fantasy championship on the line. For the veteran receiver, all eyes are on the 1,000-yard mark. Evans has eclipsed 1,000 yards in each of his first 10 NFL seasons, but he's not a lock to reach that threshold in 2024. The 31-year-old needs 182 yards over his final two games to achieve the big milestone. From a fantasy perspective, he should continue to be viewed as a low-end WR1 option heading into next week's battle with a subpar Carolina Panthers defense.

    From RotoBaller

Baker Mayfield Dec 22 11:30pm CT
    Baker Mayfield

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 31 of 43 pass attempts for 303 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He also took four sacks and rushed for 42 yards. Finally, Mayfield fumbled once, but he was able to pick up the loose ball. All in all, Mayfield had a solid showing, but it wasn't enough to propel Tampa Bay over Dallas. The 29-year-old ranks as a top-six fantasy quarterback this season with his 3,920 yards, 37 total touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Fantasy managers should view him as a top option among quarterbacks when he takes on a subpar Carolina Panthers defense in Week 17, coinciding with most fantasy leagues' championships.

    From RotoBaller

Anthony Richardson Dec 22 11:30pm CT
    Anthony Richardson

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was responsible for two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-30 win over the Titans, rushing for one and throwing for another in the contest. The 22-year-old was asked to throw just 11 times with Jonathan Taylor running wild for 218 yards on the Tennessee defense. As a result, Richardson was able to complete over 50% of his passes for just the second time this season, going 7-for-11 for 131 yards and a 1:1 TD:INT. Taylor wasn't the only one to see success on the ground, as Richardson rushed nine times for 70 yards as well. Week 17 brings another favorable matchup for the former first-round draft pick, with the Colts taking on the Giants. Indy is still alive in the AFC playoff race, so look for a similar game plan next week where the second-year pro likely doesn't offer much production through the air but provides a decent floor with his legs as the Colts try to stay in contention, leaving him as a volatile QB2 next Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

Rachaad White Dec 22 11:30pm CT
    Rachaad White

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White rushed for 10 yards on three carries during Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. More importantly, he caught seven of his eight targets for an additional 50 yards through the air. This showing helped fantasy managers in PPR leagues, but his production was arguably all for naught as he coughed up a game-losing fumble in the final minutes of Sunday Night Football. Given that White registered just three carries to Bucky Irving's 16, he'll likely need to maintain a very large role in the passing game in order to have fantasy value going forward. With that said, pass-catching productivity hasn't been an issue so far for White, who has scored more than eight fantasy points (PPR) in all but one of his games this year. The 25-year-old is an appealing RB2 or RB3 option heading into Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers. When he last faced Carolina, White had a whopping 6.9 yards per carry but caught just one pass.

George Kittle Dec 22 11:30pm CT
    George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle delivered another solid performance during a Week 16 loss to the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday. The two-time first-team All-Pro took a co-team-leading nine targets to pace the 49ers in receptions (8) and receiving yards (106). Besides missing two games with injury, Kittle has been extremely reliable this season, surpassing half-PPR Yahoo projections in 10-of-13 starts. One would imagine that Kittle will be well-represented among fantasy teams vying for championships in Week 17 when the 49ers host the Detroit Lions. Kittle will be a no-brainer start in that one regardless of matchup but should be played with increased confidence as the Lions' prolific offense is likely to force the 49ers to make heavy use of their passing attack.

    From RotoBaller

Darnell Mooney Dec 22 11:10pm CT
    Darnell Mooney

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney was the team's leading receiver on Sunday with five receptions for 82 yards but was unable to find the end zone as Bijan Robinson punched in both of Atlanta's offensive touchdowns in the lopsided 34-7 win. Drake London also caught five passes but totaled just 59 yards on his receptions. He also left the game in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury, although coach Raheem Morris stated after the game that London could have gone back in, however, with a comfortable lead there was no reason for him to reenter. Mooney is nearing his first 1000-yard season since 2021, and can likely still be trusted again next week with the chemistry he showed with Michael Penix Jr., but in the matchup with Washington he is probably a WR3 at best. Managers will want to monitor London's status throughout the week, and if the hamstring injury were to cause him to miss time, then Mooney could be in line for a few more targets.

    From RotoBaller

    T.J. Hockenson Dec 22 10:50pm CT
    T.J. Hockenson

Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson caught 2-of-5 targets in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. The sixth-year pro was used sparsely on a day where wide receiver Justin Jefferson commanded most of quarterback Sam Darnold's attention (10/144/2). Otherwise, all other Vikings pass-catchers combined for just 12 receptions and 102 yards against a Seattle defense that hung tough most of the afternoon. It's another disappointing performance for Hockenson. The former Iowa Hawkeye has had two nice games in which he combined for 15 receptions and 186 yards. However, he's recorded only 19 catches and 192 yards in the other six. Things will get a bit easier for him in Week 17 against a Green Bay Packers defense that had allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to TEs ahead of this weekend. For now, though, fantasy managers may want to consider Hockenson as more of a TE2 with upside.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Penix Jr. Dec 22 10:40pm CT
    Michael Penix Jr.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. led the Falcons to victory on Sunday in a 34-7 thrashing of the New York Giants, however, it was the run game and defense that was truly responsible for the win. Penix Jr. was 18-for-27 (67%) for 202 yards, but did not throw a touchdown and he tossed one interception, while the Falcons scored two TDs via the rush and the defense had two pick-sixes. The rookie QB wasn't asked to do too much and didn't really need to; look for more of the same next week when the Falcons take on the Commanders in D.C. in a game with playoff implications for both teams. The Commanders have been solid against the pass but not so much against the run, with one of the most fantasy-friendly rush defenses in the NFL. Saquon Barkley just ran for 150 yards and two scores against them in Week 16, so look for Bijan Robinson to carry the load next Sunday, likely leaving Penix Jr. as a low-end QB2 again in Week 17.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Gesicki Dec 22 10:40pm CT
    Mike Gesicki

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki had two catches for 14 yards in Sunday's win over the Browns. The veteran had another underwhelming showing in Week 16. However, that's not surprising with Joe Burrow primarily focused on feeding Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown. With that in mind, Gesicki should continue to have a tough time getting involved moving ahead, keeping him off the radar for fantasy managers when the Bengals play the Broncos in Week 17.
