Cleveland Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett (hamstring) left the team's Saturday practice with a hamstring injury, and head coach Kevin Stefanski would not disclose the severity of the injury when meeting with the media on Monday. Stefanski reportedly said that Joe Flacco will handle the majority of first-team reps for the team in the immediate future, according to Tony Grossi of The Land on Demand. Pickett is in a competition with Flacco and rookie quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders for the starting job in Cleveland, but this injury threatens to set him back. In five games (one start) for the Philadelphia Eagles last season, Pickett completed 59.5% of his passes for 291 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. A former first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, Pickett may be getting his last chance to prove himself as a starter with Cleveland. He'll need a quick recovery to beat out Flacco for the job heading into the regular season.

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton says the team is "close" on a new contract for wide receiver Courtland Sutton, according to Vic Lombardi of Altitude Sport. Lombardi notes that Sutton did not participate in several drills during the team's practice on Monday. Sutton will turn 30 in October and is entering the final year of his current deal. In 17 games last season, he recorded 81 catches for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns, emerging as the clear favorite target of quarterback Bo Nix. Sutton is an integral piece of Denver's offense, so it makes sense that the team would want to eliminate any possible contract-related tension with him before the season starts. He profiles as a back-end WR2 in full-PPR fantasy leagues.

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (undisclosed) "walked off gingerly with a trainer" after a collision in practice on Monday, according to Andy Herman of the Pack-A-Day Podcast. It's too soon to tell how serious this injury is, but it's an ominous sign for the second-year back. Drafted in the third round in 2024, Lloyd missed almost all of his rookie year due to hip, hamstring, ankle, and appendix issues. He entered camp this year competing with Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks for the backup job behind Josh Jacobs in Green Bay. Lloyd averaged 7.1 yards per rush attempt and scored nine touchdowns in his final college season at USC in 2023, but he hasn't gained much traction at the NFL level to date. An extended training camp absence would put him even further behind the eight ball entering his second season.

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo made big plays as both a rusher and receiver during team drills on Friday, according to Matt Citak of Giants.com. A fourth-round pick out of Arizona State, Skattebo gained 2,316 yards from scrimmage and scored 24 touchdowns in 13 games last season for the Sun Devils. He's competing with second-year back Tyrone Tracy Jr. and veteran Devin Singletary for touches in the Giants' backfield. Skattebo proved himself to be a workhorse who could handle both rushing and receiving duties at the college level. With a solid showing in training camp and preseason games, he could vault himself into a significant role right away in 2025. RotoBaller currently ranks him as RB35, four spots behind Tracy Jr. in full-PPR.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released running back Cordarrelle Patterson, according to a tweet from Patterson himself on Monday morning. The 34-year-old appeared to be fifth on the team's depth chart at running back behind Jaylen Warren, Kaleb Johnson, Kenneth Gainwell, and Trey Sermon, so this news does not come as a huge surprise. Patterson appeared in 13 games for Pittsburgh in 2024, rushing for 135 yards on 32 carries and catching 12 passes for 80 yards. He also served as a kick returner, which is where Patterson has arguably made the biggest impact throughout his career. It remains to be seen whether the 12-year vet will look to catch on with another team as a gadget piece on offense and contributor on special teams, or hang up his cleats. Either way, his days as a fantasy-relevant player are in the past.

Indianapolis Colts rookie running back DJ Giddens scored a long touchdown against the first-team defense during team drills in practice on Monday, according to Angela Moryan of WISH-TV News. The Colts drafted Giddens out of Kansas St. in the fifth round of this year's draft. He put up big numbers in 2024 for the Wildcats, rushing for 1,343 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 258 yards and a score as a receiver. Indianapolis has superstar Jonathan Taylor entrenched as their RB1, but there could be an opportunity for Giddens to win the primary backup job away from veterans Khalil Herbert and Tyler Goodson. If Giddens does make an impact this year as a rookie, it will likely be as a receiver out of the backfield. That's an area where Taylor does not see heavy usage, so Giddens' quickest path to playing time may be in a third-down role.

Dynasty | The Seahawks have released tight end Noah Fant. Dynasty Analysis: The Seahawks needed to cut some payroll and Fant ends up on the wrong end of it as a result. Fant just never became a difference maker in the Emerald City, despite being one of the biggest parts of the Russell Wilson trade years ago. In the end, his three seasons in Seattle yielded a total of fewer than 1,500 yards and only five touchdowns in 48 total games. Fant looks like a bit of a roster clogger at this point, but could be back on the radar should be end up in a favorable spot over the next week or so.
Dynasty | With the release of Noah Fant, rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo moves up the depth chart in Seattle. Dynasty Analysis: Seattle must have clearly liked what they saw in Arroyo in rookie minicamp as they let Fant go unceremoniously in what ended up being a cost-saving move today. Arroyo now looks locked in as the TE1 for the Seahawks and while that hasn't resulted in a ton of fantasy production lately, he does add an athletic dynamic Seattle hasn't seen lately. With the release of Fant, expect Arroyo's rookie ADP to climb up a smidge.
Dynasty | The Bengals have signed quarterback Desmond Ridder. Dynasty Analysis: The former University of Cincinnati quarterback returns home with the hopes of carving out a role as the backup to Joe Burrow. Once thought of as the potential future in Atlanta, Ridder has shown he's a decent player, but simply not one with the potential of being a true starter in the NFL. At this point, he belongs on deep rosters in 2QB/Superflex leagues, but it's hard to justify a spot for him in a conventional dynasty league.
Dynasty | Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs was not placed in the initial PUP list by New England. Dynasty Analysis: This is some welcome good news for any dynasty manager who has Diggs on their roster. After all, he endured a torn ACL last season and there was some speculation the Patriots weren't even going to guarantee him a roster spot after a video surfaced that painted him in a pretty bad light recently. Regardless, it seems Diggs may indeed be ahead of schedule in his recovery and could be ready for the start of the season. While he has a long way to go in order to reclaim his spot as a true WR1 in weekly lineups, his ADP will likely start taking a positive trajectory in the coming weeks.
Dynasty | Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue is contending the idea he is lazy. Dynasty Analysis: There was a report last week indicating the Cowboys coaches weren't thrilled with his work ethic and effort level. Blue has fired back in earnest on social media and claims it's essentially fake news. Time will tell if he can shake this label but he clearly has time to do just that. In the end, it's likely he didn't make a great first impression, but the fifth round rookie has a great path to playing time and still makes for a solid mid-to-late rookie pick in dynasty leagues based on his upside and opportunity.
Dynasty | Titans quarterback Will Levis will miss the 2025 season with a shoulder injury. Dynasty Analysis: If Cam Ward wasn't already the overwhelming favorite to start in week one, this will make that all but official. Levis is reportedlu going to undergo shoulder surgery and hope to be back for the beginning of next season, presumably as a backup to Ward or even looking for a new team. After the Titans took the plunge with Ward at the top of this year's draft, Levis' dynasty value tanked. This will make him waiver wire fodder in virtually every league.
Dynasty | Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is exploring all options while awaiting a new contract. Dynasty Analysis: While McLaurin wants to stay in Washington, he also clearly wants his money first. This could mean a number of different outcomes including a new deal, a holdout or eventually a trade to someone willing to pay him. Time is starting to run thin and McLaurin looks like a player willing to play some hardball in order to get his contract. Stay tuned.
Dynasty | The Chargers have signed running back Nyheim Hines. Dynasty Analysis: The famous victim of a watercraft accident that nearly ended his career, Hines (or Miller-Hines as he goes by now) will attempt to carve out a role for the Chargers. This move could indicate the Chargers expect Najee Harris out for a bit or could inidcate Kimani Vidal's job may not be 100% secure. Regardless, Hines is pretty far away from a roster spot in a dynasty league, but one injury could make it Miller time!
Dynasty | The Patriots have cleared Stefon Diggs to practice in full. Dynasty Analysis: While New England will certainly monitor his reps closely, Diggs looks to be on track to start in week one and that's a bit of a medical miracle considering he tore his ACL only nine months ago. It's been a tumultuous off-season for Diggs, but his ADP will start to rise with this last hurdle now conquered.
Dynasty | Saints hybrid player Taysom Hill has been placed on the PUP list. Dynasty Analysis: A late season ACL tear is likely going to wipe out Hill's season, but there's a chance he makes it back towards the end. His progress will be something to monitor as we've seen stretches where he's the ultimate difference maker in dynasty leagues. He remains worth a roster spot in deep leagues.
Dynasty | Former Texas receiver Isaiah Bond had his defamation case dismissed. Dynasty Analysis: Let's make this clear - this was a defamation case filed by Bond against his accuser of sexual assault, not that case itself. Regardless, Bond's actions outside of the field clearly red flagged him during the draft process and he remains unsigned. His case will have to be over for him to have any chance of signing with an NFL team.
Dynasty | Former Saints tight end Jimmy Graham announced is retirement after 13 seasons in the NFL. Dynasty Analysis: Once the ultimate weapon in dynasty leagues, Graham retires after posting 719 career catches for 8,545 yards and 89 touchdowns. Most will remember is initial stretch with the Saints where he posted 51 touchdowns in his first five years in the league, making him a truly elite dynasty force. Injuries took their toll on him later in his career as he bounced around from Seattle to Green Bay, to Chicago and then back to New Orleans for his swan song in 2023. "Superstar" Jimmy Graham will be remembered for a long time by dynasty leaguers.
Dynasty | Jets quarterback Justin Fields suffered a dislocated toe in practice today. Dynasty Analysis: Fields was carted off the field and things looked bleak this morning. However, there were no fractures in his foot and it turns out he's going to be considered "day=to-day" moving forward. This would have been catastrophic for the Jets as Fields is currently backed up by Tyrod Taylor and is the centerpiece of their offense. Fields should be back shortly and dynasty managers can breathe a sigh of relief. He remains an upside QB1 in dynasty leagues, but one with a lot of risk involved.
Dynasty | Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has reportedly broken his collarbone. Dynasty Analysis: It's yet another tough break for Burks, who was trying to return to form fully after a 2024 ACL injury and a lot of disappointing moments on the field before and after. Burks is always going to be remembered as the player the Titans took with the pick they got for AJ Brown, but that's a little unfair as Tennessee was (regrettably) unwilling to pay Brown the money he really wanted. Regardless, Burks just hasn't shown enough on the field to merit much hope in dynasty leagues and this injury is honestly likely the last straw in terms of his dynasty value. In short, he's going to be out for some time and likely belongs on dynasty waiver wires.
