Untrustworthy not the proper term. I never gave my word or made a promise. In fact in all 80 of my leagues I’ve held up my end of deals EVERY time and even used to do the handshake deals to trade future 1sts. I have a patent on that. Never broke my word once in the many leagues I’m in. Had you and I had discussion and you said you were only trading back if I can guarantee you a player you wanted and I wouldn’t take him, yes. So maybe i manipulated a little publicly but never broke any word or agreemen
Ok, well, at the very least I have to give you credit for going “all in” with the “sell”…but it was completely unnecessary (since I was taking Caleb at 1.01, not Marv) and now it paints you as untrustworthy in your intentions during negotiations. Not that it seems to matter to you, I guess since it’s just a game we play…
Here was my honest plan…I was willing to pass on Caleb if I could get a move up of 1.09 into the Top 5 to take a QB (probably Daniels at 1.02, if you took Caleb at 1.01) and a WR, but since you only offered 1.06 and Marv, Nabers, and Odunze would be gone, I couldn’t do it. I liked Bowers at 1.06 and thought hard about it, but to drop down from Caleb to Daniels and not get the value of one of those Top 3 WRs, it was a no-go. So, glad I still ended up getting Bowers at 1.08 because it essentially worked out as if we made the deal anyway…but man, that was a lot of wasted time going through all that
