In what world is giving up Burrow for 1.4, Fields and Jeudy a good idea? Especially in super flex. Burrow is a consensus top 10 overall asset in dynasty super flex and is still only 27. Even if this is a matter of losing the trade but winning the war, I feel that you should have received significantly more value in the initial trade, plain and simple. One could argue that 1.2 and 1.4 for Burrow alone or Burrow and change would be fairly reasonable let alone all the other wheeling and dealing you had to do to get to this result.
As recently as three days ago you publicly said you didn’t want Daniels and now you’re thanking me for the motivation that went into building a rookie heavy squad that hasn’t won anything yet? Your team has a lot of upside, no doubt about it, but those dudes have a lot to prove across their respective situations. The team situations in Washington, Arizona and New York aren’t doing those guys any favors. On paper I do like the vision you set in building your squad from the ground up - not an easy thing to do in our fantasy world. I’ve taken similar approaches in baseball leagues and you truly do win some and lose some doing that.
Since you felt the need to dig at my squad, I just wanted to remind you there’s a 2023 championship banner hanging in the rafters (with NO dust on it mind you) for all to see. I have to say I’m very much looking forward to ring night on September 5th - they’ve got me all sized up and everything my man. You must have forgotten that I had to take down the two highest flying teams in the playoffs last year to earn that. I’ll take it as a compliment that you indicted the talent level of my team because good managers optimize opportunity with less resources. We all know you also need a little bit of luck to go your way come playoff time and the stars aligned last year for my team. You can say what you want about that.
Anyway - enough about last year. I look forward to a fun 2025 with you and the rest of our league. Should be a fun one!
