Untrustworthy not the proper term. I never gave my word or made a promise. In fact in all 80 of my leagues I’ve held up my end of deals EVERY time and even used to do the handshake deals to trade future 1sts. I have a patent on that. Never broke my word once in the many leagues I’m in. Had you and I had discussion and you said you were only trading back if I can guarantee you a player you wanted and I wouldn’t take him, yes. So maybe i manipulated a little publicly but never broke any word or agreemen

Ok, I can see that angle. You were not untrustworthy in our direct negotiations, but indirectly you were trying to manipulate the situation. And, now that this has come to light, it still could harm your reputation as not being 100% transparent. I side with your belief that we are playing a card game here, but the “bluffing” can only go too far before you lose your “edge” or “advantage”

Ok, well, at the very least I have to give you credit for going “all in” with the “sell”…but it was completely unnecessary (since I was taking Caleb at 1.01, not Marv) and now it paints you as untrustworthy in your intentions during negotiations. Not that it seems to matter to you, I guess since it’s just a game we play…

Here was my honest plan…I was willing to pass on Caleb if I could get a move up of 1.09 into the Top 5 to take a QB (probably Daniels at 1.02, if you took Caleb at 1.01) and a WR, but since you only offered 1.06 and Marv, Nabers, and Odunze would be gone, I couldn’t do it. I liked Bowers at 1.06 and thought hard about it, but to drop down from Caleb to Daniels and not get the value of one of those Top 3 WRs, it was a no-go. So, glad I still ended up getting Bowers at 1.08 because it essentially worked out as if we made the deal anyway…but man, that was a lot of wasted time going through all that

Also the message you reposted was the start of it. I had no private conversation going on at the time at all. That’s what you call planting a seed. We are playing a game you know. More to picking and starting players to this. I use all tools available. Draft played out PERFECT for my plans.

He hate me is my friend yes I did text him my plan several days before. You had a garbage wr core and two legit starting QB. I 100% thought you were going Marv so yes I was planning to give you 1.6 to move to 1.9 to make sure I got my guy. Believe me or not that’s your opinion I have no issue with it but yes have it in a conversation long before I started messaging and hitting the board with messages. That’s what reverse psychology is

🤝 agreed brother. It’s gonna come back to bite me in the ass if I can’t move up to 1 and grab him cause I don’t want Daniels lol. Is pry trade it for a proven QB if anything but I put in a nice offer to the 1.1 to hopefully grab him and pair him with Herbert. Easily finishes top 10 imo with Allen Rome and Moore to throw too

So this was a “private” post (to your brother…is that HHMikey or Dicky Shaw?) you intentionally “leaked” to the public board to try to throw me off into taking Caleb (like I didn’t trade for that pick just for that) eventhough you offered me 2 offers I was nearly going to accept? Gonna call BS on that Ballsy. You might like Daniels for his upside, but I’m still thinking you wanted Caleb more, if not by much.

Outside, that deal was the first of MANY dominos that all had a hand in this build. Side note, I prefer Daniels = Caleb if not higher upside. That was reverse psychology at its finest to make sure I secured the real target. Marv. I have a friend in this league who could vouch for that that i told him about my plan and how it’s imperative I get 1 overall or Caleb goes 1 for this to work properly. Played out exactly like I hoped. Still want to figure out how to get a QB3 on board but that will play itself out. I look forward to staying focused on this league a little more than my others (80 total other teams) just cause of the motivation.

Side note, what names do you go by in baseball? I go by Kluber Lang in all baseball and Ballbusters in all football.

Congrats on the championship. End of the day, champs still the champ until dethroned. 🍻

In what world is giving up Burrow for 1.4, Fields and Jeudy a good idea? Especially in super flex. Burrow is a consensus top 10 overall asset in dynasty super flex and is still only 27. Even if this is a matter of losing the trade but winning the war, I feel that you should have received significantly more value in the initial trade, plain and simple. One could argue that 1.2 and 1.4 for Burrow alone or Burrow and change would be fairly reasonable let alone all the other wheeling and dealing you had to do to get to this result.

As recently as three days ago you publicly said you didn’t want Daniels and now you’re thanking me for the motivation that went into building a rookie heavy squad that hasn’t won anything yet? Your team has a lot of upside, no doubt about it, but those dudes have a lot to prove across their respective situations. The team situations in Washington, Arizona and New York aren’t doing those guys any favors. On paper I do like the vision you set in building your squad from the ground up - not an easy thing to do in our fantasy world. I’ve taken similar approaches in baseball leagues and you truly do win some and lose some doing that.

Since you felt the need to dig at my squad, I just wanted to remind you there’s a 2023 championship banner hanging in the rafters (with NO dust on it mind you) for all to see. I have to say I’m very much looking forward to ring night on September 5th - they’ve got me all sized up and everything my man. You must have forgotten that I had to take down the two highest flying teams in the playoffs last year to earn that. I’ll take it as a compliment that you indicted the talent level of my team because good managers optimize opportunity with less resources. We all know you also need a little bit of luck to go your way come playoff time and the stars aligned last year for my team. You can say what you want about that.

Anyway - enough about last year. I look forward to a fun 2025 with you and the rest of our league. Should be a fun one!

I’d like to thank outside zone for motivating me when he sent this slander out that I “gave away” burrow. 1.4, fields and juedy were all pieces to the puzzle that I had the vision for. That vision is now a reality and this team is loaded long term. Your team on the other hand…..

Outstanding draft there Busta Bust…truly legendary gets. But, it took you a lot of other wheeling and dealing to position yourself for those picks. The Burrow trade by itself did not favor you at all. It might end up being even if Fields becomes the starter
