Do you mean like joy as in you en-joy your life…you have a joy for life. That I can agree with…happy is temporary, joy is more sustained. But I still see the meaning of the statement as you are not experiencing joy in your life if you not satisfied with it. The “comparison” aspect is using the assumption you are looking elsewhere for confirmation because you are not satisfied

The meaning of that statement is that if you are constantly comparing, then you are not truly happy with yourself or your choices. It steals the joy out of life if you cannot be happy and at peace with your decisions. In a competitive environment, it is a bit different, because you use comparison as a guide to check your standing. If you choose not to compare in that setting, you are essentially settling for whatever it is you are doing. To me that indicates someone that doesn’t have a desire to be the best they can be

I just can’t disagree more. Happy/happiness and joy are so different. Happy is temporary- joy has a much different meaning.

I do though agree in a competitive environment everything changes and kinda goes out the window but that’s surely not what his comment was implying as we both know.

Help me understand how you get “likes to settle for below average” from Comparison is the thief of joy? From the bleachers at that?

Comparison is the thief of joy? Wow, sounds like someone that likes to settle for below average. You need to compare your abilities to your competition otherwise you won’t know what you need to do to beat the best

I traded back one round for Jerry Jeudy. I didn’t trade 3.01. You continue to have zero clue what your even spouting off about.

You want a first for Howell I offered a third and you laughed at me. Who was right??
