Seattle Seahawks tight end Pharaoh Brown (foot) won't carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Detroit Lions. Brown has been limited in practice all week due to a foot injury that cost him the first two games of the season. Brown figures to serve as the primary backup tight end to Noah Fant. He finished with one reception on two targets for nine yards during his season debut in Week 3. The Seahawks have a handful of viable options on offense, so Brown falls pretty far down on the pecking order. The 30-year-old can be avoided for fantasy purposes right now.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Pharaoh Brown (foot) was ruled out for the season opener against the Denver Broncos, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Brown suffered a foot injury earlier in August during a team practice and has not returned to practice yet this week. As a result, the 30-year-old will remain sidelined during Week 1. Fantasy managers should expect Brady Russell and AJ Barner to compete for the No.2 tight end spot on Sunday while Noah Fant sees the lion's share of snaps and targets at the position. Fant has also been dealing with a toe injury but has practiced in a limited capacity this week. Last season as a Patriot, Brown caught just 13 passes for 208 yards a score. Brown will likely not have any fantasy value this season serving in a depth role on the Seattle offense.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks tight end Pharaoh Brown is expected to have a significant role as a blocker in 2024, former NFL quarterback Brock Huard told Mike Salk of Seattle Sports. This news follows some whispers out of Seattle (also from Huard) that Noah Fant will receive increased attention in the passing game but could lose some blocking opportunities to Brown. When explaining how he'd approach the tight end position in Seattle, Huard noted, "I'm going to use that other guy, Pharaoh [Brown], that guy can block, and we believe he's one of the best run-blocking tight ends, so we're going to put that guy in many of those burden situations in the run game." This adds some important context to the Seahawks' depth chart ahead of 2024 fantasy drafts. Brown was never a legitimate fantasy option, but this latest update suggests that Fant could be trending up. Managers preparing for 2024 fantasy drafts should view Fant as a mid-range TE2 and Brown as a mid-to-low TE3.
