Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin continued his successful 2024 campaign during Thursday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. The veteran wideout hauled in five of his six targets for 64 yards in the overtime loss. Fellow wideout Mike Evans saw the red zone attention this week with two touchdowns. Despite that, Godwin still put together a solid performance as he's reached 60 yards or more in four of his five games. The Bucs will now head into a tougher matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. Evans figures to draw star defensive back Marshon Lattimore which means Godwin should see more looks next week.

Oct 4 12:33am CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin had five receptions for 64 yards versus the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, Oct. 3. He was targeted seven times.

Fantasy Spin: After a red-hot start, Godwin has gone back-to-back weeks with less than 70 yards and no touchdowns. He hasn't had a truly bad game, yet, but it feels like he's settling into more of that WR3 spot he's typically filled over the years for fantasy owners. Godwin had two of his better games of last season against the Saints (8-114-0 in Week 4, 3-81-1 in Week 17), so make sure he's in your lineup when those clubs renew acquaintances in Week 6.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 6:50pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has been off to an extremely hot start to begin the season. Godwin has six receptions or more in every game with over 53 yards or more in each of those contests. The veteran wideout has also scored three touchdowns as the move back to the slot has done great things for his career. The biggest problem for Godwin's value is that he continues to battle with fellow wideout Mike Evans for targets. Luckily, the Bucs have gone pass-heavy early on which has given both receivers solid value most weeks. Godwin should once again be in the WR1 conversation for the upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 8:20pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin surprisingly took a backseat for the first time this season. Fellow wideout Mike Evans did a majority of the damage as he saw 14 targets on the day. However, Godwin was still productive as he hauled in six of his nine targets for 69 yards in the win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Todd Bowles mentioned earlier in the week that they wanted to get Evans more involved. They've done that and it could mean a dip in value for Godwin going forward. However, Godwin should still get a steady workload as he has proven himself to be a viable option. Fantasy managers should consider Godwin a WR2 for Thursday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 4:13pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin caught six passes for 69 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. He was targeted nine times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Godwin continues to be a reliable option in the passing game for Tampa Bay and should receive a similar workload next week. He should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 6:10pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans (knee) and Chris Godwin (neck) were both on the injury report this week but were officially cleared to play in Week 4 against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Evans was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before being held out of Friday's practice for rest purposes, while Godwin was limited all week. The Bucs were apparently resting their top two wideouts this week as they deal with minor injuries. Both of them will be available this weekend and should be considered must-starts in fantasy lineups against an Eagles defense that has allowed the fourth-most half-PPR fantasy points to the position through the season's first three weeks. Evans, in particular, could get the squeaky wheel treatment on Sunday after catching just two passes for 17 yards in the Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos. Godwin has found the end zone in each of the team's first three games.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 3:53pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (neck) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 27, but is not on the injury report for Week 4.

Fantasy Spin: Godwin should see a good amount of targets against the Philadelphia Eagles despite the injury and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 26 8:40pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans (knee) and Chris Godwin (neck) remained limited participants during Thursday's practice session. This is back-to-back days that these two have been limited, but fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned. Neither injury is considered serious and these are more considered maintenance days for the veteran receivers. Evans has taken a backseat to Godwin over the last few weeks. However, both players are solid fantasy options heading into the Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. If one of them does miss sit, Jalen McMillan, Cade Otton, and Rachaad White would likely see bigger workloads as receiving options.

From RotoBaller

Sep 26 4:23pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (neck) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Godwin is expected to be available for Week 4, but fantasy players will know more in the next day or two. He should see a good amount of targets if he is active for the game and can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 26 11:23am CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (neck) is on track to play in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to sources Thursday, Sept. 26,

Fantasy Spin: Enjoying a fantastic start to the season with a 21-253-3 receiving line through three games, Godwin is a must start as long as he's healthy.

From TheHuddle

Sep 25 7:10pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans (knee) and Chris Godwin (neck) are both on the Week 4 injury report after being limited in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Although it's a good sign that both players actually practiced, this is a situation to watch in Tampa with both of their top receivers on the injury report heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. In what could be a high-scoring contest on Sunday in Tampa, both Evans and Godwin should be in starting fantasy lineups as long as they're active. But if one or both of Evans and Godwin are out or limited on Sunday, it will raise the ceiling for rookie pass-catcher Jalen McMillan and tight end Cade Otton. Fantasy managers should check back the next two days to see if Evans and Godwin can get back to a full practice to get cleared for Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Sep 25 6:13pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (neck) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Godwin is in any danger of missing the Week 4 game. He will see a good amount of targets if he plays and can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 22 7:13pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin went for six receptions, 53 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Spin: The Tampa Bay passing game was a little off in Week 3, but Godwin was still able to extend his touchdown scoring streak to three games. He has at least six receptions in all three games, too, as he remains a solid WR2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

From TheHuddle

Sep 22 5:40pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is off to a fantastic start to the 2024 season. The veteran wideout moved back to the slot this season and it has paid off for the Bucs. On Sunday, Godwin hauled in six of his nine targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Denver Broncos. This was a bad day for the Bucs offense as quarterback Baker Mayfield only threw for 163 yards. However, Godwin was able to make the most of it as he has been impressive through three games. He remains on the WR2 radar for next week's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 10:20am CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has been impressive early on in the season. Through two games, Godwin has 15 receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns. It looks like moving Godwin back to the slot position has worked out well for the Bucs. The veteran wideout should continue having success in Week 3. He'll draw a Denver Broncos defense that has surprisingly done well against the pass this season. However, fellow wideout Mike Evans figures to draw star defensive back Patrick Surtain, which should open up more chances for Godwin. The Bucs pass-heavy offense should give both wideouts plenty of targets, so Godwin should be considered a high-end WR2 for Week 3.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 7:53pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin posted seven receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Spin: Godwin is off to a red-hot start, posting 15 grabs, 16 targets, 200 receiving yards and a touchdown in each of his two games. He can be trusted as a low-end WR1 or must-start WR2 heading into Week 3 against the Denver Broncos.

From TheHuddle

Sep 15 5:20pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin had seemingly no issues against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. Last week, Godwin finished with eight receptions for 83 yards and he was able to top that here. On Sunday, Godwin snagged seven of his eight targets for 117 yards and a touchdown in the win. It seems that moving Godwin back to the slot has really worked out for the Bucs offense. Normally, Godwin takes a backseat to fellow wideout Mike Evans, but not this week. It seems like Godwin and Mayfield have great chemistry and hopefully this continues going forward. Godwin has been excellent through the first two weeks and he should be a strong WR2 versus the Denver Broncos next week.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 3:30pm CT

Buccaneers' WR Chris Godwin had 7 receptions for 117 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Detroit.

Sep 12 5:10pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin was surprisingly the leading receiver during the season opener. The veteran wideout led the team in both targets and receiving yards during the Week 1 win over the Washington Commanders. Godwin finished the day with eight receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. The 28-year-old is back in the slot and looks to be fully healthy once again. He'll get a Detroit Lions defense in Week 2 that allowed the sixth-most passing yards last season. The Bucs should continue to air it out which makes Godwin a fine WR2 for Week 2.

From RotoBaller

Sep 8 9:03pm CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin caught all eight of his targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in a 37-20 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 1.
