San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 27, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle is on track to return to the lineup after a one-game absence. He is a valuable part of the passing game when healthy and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is good to go and was removed from the final injury report for Week 4 against the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. The writing was on the wall for Kittle to return after a one-game absence in the Week 3 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams when he returned to practice on Wednesday. The fact that the 30-year-old isn't even on the final injury report means he should be available for a full complement of snaps this weekend. Fantasy managers everywhere need to return him to a starting lineup spot, especially with receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) potentially missing a second straight game with a calf strain. Kittle had a healthy 11 receptions on 13 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown in the first two weeks of the season. His return will surely boost quarterback Brock Purdy's prospects as a QB1 in fantasy this week.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is expected to make his return to the field this week against the New England Patriots according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. Kittle says he is "very excited to play football" and is "feeling fantastic" according to Wagoner's report. In two games this season, the talented tight end has 11 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown and missed the 49ers' loss to the Rams in Week 4. Kittle remains one of the top tight ends in a relatively limited tight-end landscape for fantasy. If he is back this week, he should be started with confidence against New England.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle appears to have a decent chance to play in Week 4, but fantasy players will know more in the next day or two. He will see a good amount of targets if he plays and can be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

Sep 26 6:30pm CT

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) sounds like he expects to return this Sunday in Week 4 against the visiting New England Patriots. Kittle said he's "very excited to play football" and is "feeling fantastic." The 30-year-old injured his hamstring in practice last week and was unable to play in the Week 3 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams, but he's been limited in practice for two days so far this week and is apparently trending in the right direction to play this weekend. It's welcome news for quarterback Brock Purdy, who relied almost exclusively on receiver Jauan Jennings last Sunday. Kittle is a must-start TE1 in fantasy if he's back in action, especially with receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) potentially missing another game. Kittle has 11 catches (13 targets) for 116 yards and a touchdown in his two games played in 2024.

Sep 26 5:50pm CT

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) put in a second straight limited practice this week on Thursday. Kittle injured his hamstring in practice last week and could not get cleared to play in the Week 3 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. While it remains unclear if the 30-year-old will play in Week 4 against the New England Patriots, the fact that he's been on the practice field twice this week give him at least a shot at ending his absence at just one game. If Kittle ends up being active on Sunday, he should be thrown back into starting fantasy lineups everywhere, especially since there's a good chance that receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) will miss another game. With both Kittle and Samuel out last week, Jauan Jennings went for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Brock Purdy would certainly love to get Kittle back this weekend against an underrated defense.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle was not able to play in the last game but seems to have a decent chance to be play in Week 4. Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation over the next few days because he can be a starting fantasy option if active.

From TheHuddle

Sep 25 6:20pm CT

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that tight end George Kittle (hamstring) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Kittle injured his hamstring in practice last week and ultimately did not play in the Week 3 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. His status for this Sunday's contest against the visiting New England Patriots is up in the air, but it's a great sign that he is participating in the first practice of the week. If the 30-year-old can increase his practice level on either Thursday or Friday, he'll give himself a shot to be active in Week 4. Backup TE Eric Saubert caught both of his targets for 41 yards and is a weak TE2 streamer in fantasy if Kittle misses another game. Receiver Jauan Jennings reaped all the benefits with Kittle and Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) out in Week 3, going for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Kittle is a must-start TE1 whenever he's active.

Sep 23 6:30pm CT

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said the team hopes to get tight end George Kittle (hamstring) back at practice this week. Kittle tweaked his hamstring at practice last week and was forced to sit out of the team's Week 3 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. We'll have a better idea of the 30-year-old's status for a Week 4 tilt against the New England Patriots once the Niners resume practicing on Wednesday, but as of right now, it sounds as though he has a realistic shot to play this weekend if he can get on the practice field. It would be great news for a team hit hard by injuries to key players early in 2024. Running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles, calf) is on IR and receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) could miss more time. Kittle will be a must-start TE1 in fantasy if he's able to return against the Pats.

Sep 23 6:03pm CT

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) hopefully will be able to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle was not able to play in the last game because of the injury, so fantasy players will need to keep an eye on his practice participation over the next several days. He is a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues when healthy, but players should have another option ready in case he sits again.

The San Francisco 49ers have declared QB Joshua Dobbs, OG Ben Bartch, WR Deebo Samuel, LB Tatum Bethune, CB Darrell Luter Jr. and TE George Kittle inactive for Week 3.

Sep 21 3:30pm CT

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The star tight end showed up on the injury on Thursday, putting his status for the Week 3 contest in doubt. The injury couldn't have come at the worst time for the 49ers, with Christian McCaffrey (calf/Achilles) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) missing this week's game. Brock Purdy now must lean heavily on Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, and Jordan Mason against Los Angeles. Fantasy players are left scrambling for a last-minute tight end replacement off the waiver wire. Unfortunately, Kittle's backup, Eric Saubert, isn't a variable replacement option in standard-size leagues.

From RotoBaller

Sep 21 3:23pm CT

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) was downgraded from doubtful to out for Week 3 on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle popped up on the injury report during the week and was listed as doubtful before being ruled out. With Kittle and Deebo Samuel (calf) both sitting, Brandon Aiyuk is a borderline WR1 and Jauan Jennings is a high-end flex option. Kittle owners should look elsewhere for tight end help, as none of the 49ers' backups can be trusted in lineups.

From TheHuddle

Sep 20 5:10pm CT

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is officially listed as doubtful to play in Week 3 on Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams after missing practice the last two days. Running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles, calf) is on Injured Reserve, and receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) has been ruled out as well, so the Niners' offense is extremely banged up early in the year. It's bad news for fantasy managers that have been rolling with quarterback Brock Purdy as their QB1. With Kittle unlikely to play on Sunday, look for both Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings to handle as many targets as they can. Eric Saubert is expected to be the team's starting TE with Kittle out, although he's not a recommended fantasy streamer, as Jake Tonges could also be involved as a pass-catcher. Hopefully Kittle will be ready to return in Week 4 at home against the New England Patriots.

Sep 20 4:53pm CT

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 20, and is listed as doubtful for Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: It appears like Kittle suffered the injury during practice this week, and there is no timetable for his return. Eric Saubert likely will be the starting tight end for the 49ers but can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 19 3:30pm CT

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. The 30-year-old was not on Wednesday's injury report and will now approach the weekend with uncertain status. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Friday's injury report, as it should provide more clarity on Kittle's status for Sunday. The Iowa product was lifted from last week's game due to cramping but was able to return as it did not seem serious as he caught seven of his eight targets for 76 yards and a score in this game. If the Iowa product happens to sit out this weekend, fantasy managers should expect Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings to see a significant increase in targets against the Los Angeles Rams.

From RotoBaller

Sep 19 3:13pm CT

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is not participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 19, because of hamstring tightness, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Kittle will be able to play this week against the Los Angeles Rams. Players will need a backup plan ready in case Kittle is not able to play.

From TheHuddle

Sep 15 11:30pm CT

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was heavily involved in the team's offense in Week 2, but it wasn't enough to prevent a 23-17 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota. The 30-year-old posted seven receptions on eight targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. Kittle's seven-yard score came near the end of the second quarter with San Francisco down by 10, as Kittle took a middle screen near the line of scrimmage and zagged his way around and through defenders to break the plane. He had quarterback Brock Purdy's eye throughout this one, the eight targets second only to receiver Deebo Samuel's 10. Kittle's performance was good enough to grab at least a temporary hold on the overall TE1 spot this week, heading into Monday night's Falcons/Eagles matchup. Next up for Kittle is a road matchup in Los Angeles against the division-rival Rams on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

From TheHuddle

Sep 15 2:33pm CT

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (undisclosed) returned to the Week 2 after receiving an IV in the locker room.

Fantasy Spin: It appears like Kittle probably was dealing with some cramps and should be fine moving forward. He should be a starting option in fantasy leagues.
