Conklin had another good season as the starting tight end for the Jets. He tied a career high with 61 receptions and set a career best with 621 yards. Conklin was 18th overall in fantasy tight end scoring. He failed to score a touchdown, hurting his overall fantasy numbers. Conklin had four games with double-digit fantasy points. He should remain the starting tight end for a Jets offense that should be better with Aaron Rodgers back at quarterback. Conklin has 58 or more receptions three straight seasons. Conklin is a reliable target in the passing game. He is a decent blocker and athlete. He catches the ball well, especially in traffic. He lacks some top speed, though, which can limit his big-play ability.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Conklin will get some weekly targets but is more of a platoon player for fantasy teams. He is more of a matchup play. Conklin could get around 60 catches for 600 yards and three touchdowns. The return of Rodgers is a positive for Conklin, but he also has more to compete with for targets this year.
Conklin had the misfortune of watching quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffer a season-ending injury on the opening series of the season. Then he had the terrible trio of Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian, and Tim Boyle as his quarterbacks the rest of the way. Yet Conklin was still able to catch 61 passes for a career-high 621 yards in 2023. He ranked second on the Jets behind top target Garrett Wilson in receiving and posted better numbers than fantasy managers could have hoped. Although Conklin has never been more than a TE2 for fantasy because he needs help locating the end zone (seven TD in six seasons), 2024 could be his career year. He will hopefully have a healthy Rodgers throwing to him, and that upgrade alone should mean 100 more yards and a few more touchdowns. The better news is the Jets released C.J. Uzomah and did not draft Brock Bowers, so Conklin is the team's clear No. 1 TE. Because he is not as physically gifted as top-10 tight ends in the NFL, Conklin's fantasy ceiling is low. But thanks to Rodgers and the lack of depth behind him, Conklin should be able to muster 700 yards and three-to-four touchdowns as New York's top tight end. Make him the TE2 on your fantasy squad and you might use him in your lineup more than thought.

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin "made multiple acrobatic catches" and was "one of the stars of OTAs," according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Rosenblatt notes that Conklin stands to gain a lot from Aaron Rodgers being healthy and available during the 2024 season. The tight end did catch 61 passes for 621 yards last year, but he failed to find the end zone and ultimately finished the campaign with the second-lowest catch rate of his career. Between making his own impact on the practice field this summer and getting Rodgers healthy to lead the offense, Conklin has a real chance to thrive in 2024. As long as he remains atop New York's depth chart through camp, he could sneak into the top-24 range for fantasy football tight ends.

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin caught 61 passes for 621 yards last season while primarily catching passes from Zach Wilson. All things considered, it was a decent year, but the New York offense was one of the worst units in the league, and Conklin failed to catch a touchdown. Jets reporter Connor Hughes believes the 28-year-old could be a riser heading into 2024 with the return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles). Conklin reportedly developed great chemistry with Rodgers last offseason, and the pair is picking up where they left off in OTAs this year. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is the unquestioned No. 1 option in the passing game, but Conklin could be at least the No. 3 option. Mike Williams is coming off a torn ACL, while Malachi Corley is a rookie and could take time to develop. Conklin was the overall TE18 in PPR leagues last year without a single end-zone trip, so an uptick in scoring could lead to him being firmly on the fantasy radar.

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin hauled in two of his three targets for 16 yards in a Week 18 win over the New England Patriots. While this was a quiet showing from Conklin, none of the pass-catching options on either team made much of an impact on Sunday in the snowy Foxborough weather. New York relied heavily on its rushing attack, finishing the contest with just 70 passing yards. Conklin will conclude the campaign with a career-best 621 receiving yards while tying his career-high of 61 receptions. He unfortunately did not record a touchdown this season and will hope to have more success with Aaron Rodgers under center in 2024.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin has earned at least five targets in six consecutive games and should remain involved against the New England Patriots in his final matchup of the campaign. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old may struggle to do much with his opportunities on Sunday as New England has surrendered the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this year. Furthermore, the Patriots have allowed just two touchdowns to tight ends, so Conklin seems likely to finish the season with zero trips to the end zone. Fantasy managers would be wise to look elsewhere for a starting option in Week 18.
