Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison reeled in all five of his targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in his team's 21-13 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. It was a strange game for Minnesota as they moved the ball at will against a hapless Colts defense. However, they saw multiple drives stall in the red zone during the first half. It was the first touchdown for the second-year wideout since Week 4, and the five receptions were a new season high. Addison may never garner such lofty target totals on a Vikings offense that presents as one of the more run-centric teams in the league, especially playing across the field from one of the NFL greats in his teammate, Justin Jefferson. Still, he's a solid WR2 for an NFL squad. Minnesota again gets a tempting matchup next Sunday when they face a soft Jacksonville Jaguars defense in a road matchup.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison gets a tantalizing Week 9 matchup when his team hosts the visiting Indianapolis Colts this Sunday. The second-year wideout has been mildly disappointing in 2024 after a breakout rookie season, but he has a chance to right the ship against a soft Colts defense at U.S. Bank Stadium. Indianapolis is affording their opponent's passing attacks the eighth-highest yards per pass attempt (6.7) and has let up the ninth-most passing first downs in the NFL (91). The 22-year-old could be in store for a nice performance on the field but might not be a boon to your lineup unless he scores a touchdown -- something he's done just once this season after notching ten such in his rookie campaign. Addison is the PPR WR39 in RotoBaller's Week 9 ranks.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison hasn't been able to give fantasy managers much value at all this season. He certainly didn't help them with his performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday. Addison hauled in two of his three targets for 22 yards in the loss. This was his worst performance of the season as Addison has struggled to remain relevant in the receiving game. It probably won't get better for him with tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) expected to make his season debut next week. That will probably mean even less volume for Addison heading into a favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The potential is there, but he can't be trusted as anything more than a WR4.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison is a worthwhile WR3/flex option heading into Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams. While he's always a threat to score touchdowns, he doesn't have major upside in his current role against a respectable Rams passing defense. Addison has been held to three catches in all four of his games this season, and he typically commands around four targets. This trend of relatively low volume should continue against a Los Angeles defense allowing the third-fewest receptions and the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers this year. Addison has been a top-24 receiver in just one of his four games so far, and he's ranked outside the top 50 in two of those four.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison reeled in 3-of-4 targets for 66 yards in the team's 31-29 loss to the Detroit Lions. It was another modest outing for Addison, who has now caught three balls in each of his four contests this season. He somewhat saved his fantasy day in this one with a long reception of 51 yards that helped set up a Vikings field goal but was otherwise held in check by a formidable Lions defense. Third-year wideout Jalen Nailor racked up one more catch and target than the 22-year-old and out-gained him by 10 yards in the matchup -- the first time he's done so all season. While the USC product is a good WR in his own right, ceiling games will be challenging to come by while sharing the field with target-hog Justin Jefferson -- potentially even less so when tight end T.J. Hockenson enters the fold. Minnesota will travel to Los Angeles on a short week to take on the Rams on Thursday Night Football.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison looked great throughout his inaugural campaign, ending the year with 10 touchdowns. Unfortunately, he's struggled this season, finding the end zone once. Granted, the wideout has only appeared in three of the Vikings' five contests. Still, fantasy managers have been disappointed with his lack of output. With Aaron Jones (hamstring) questionable for the Week 7 divisional encounter with the Lions, there is a chance Addison could get more involved. However, he's hard to trust in any situation, so fantasy managers may want to keep him out of the lineup until he turns it around.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) has been cleared to play in Week 4 against the division-rival Green Bay Packers on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Addison injured his ankle in the Week 1 win over the New York Giants and missed the last two games as a result. With no injury designation heading into the weekend, the 22-year-old shouldn't be in danger of seeing a limited snap count and should return to being the WR2 for quarterback Sam Darnold behind All-Pro pass-catcher Justin Jefferson. Addison only had three catches on four targets for 35 yards in Week 1, but he managed 911 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 games in his rookie season in 2023. The Packers have been middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to receivers through three weeks. Addison is once again in play as a WR3/flex, while his return hurts Jalen Nailor the most.
From RotoBaller
After missing the last two games with an ankle injury, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) plans to play in a big Week 4 divisional game at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. After a second straight day of limited practice on Thursday, Addison said that he's "ready to go" and expects to play on Sunday. Fantasy managers will want to check Minnesota's final injury report on Friday, but all signs are pointing towards Addison making his return this weekend, which is certainly good news for the 3-0 Vikings. It's bad news for anyone that has plucked Jalen Nailor off the waiver wire in recent weeks, though, after he has scored a touchdown in each of the team's first three games of 2024. Addison, who had 911 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie in 2023, caught just three of four targets for 35 yards in the season-opening win over the New York Giants.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session. It seems that Addison is on track to play in Week 4 after getting in back-to-back limited practice designations. Addison hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 1. It wouldn't be shocking to see Addison on a snap count during his first game back. If active this weekend, Addison should be a low-end WR3 at worst. The Vikings are limited on offensive weapons and Addison was playing well before the injury, so he should be a solid WR2 once he's back to full health.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) is set to practice on Wednesday after missing each of the last two games with an ankle injury. Addison's ankle was banged up in the preseason, but he returned in Week 1 and caught three passes for 35 yards before being sidelined again. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Addison would likely be limited on Wednesday, but the team is optimistic he'll be able to suit up against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Packers have been a neutral matchup for wide receivers this year, so Addison will be firmly on the fantasy football radar if he plays. Quarterback Sam Darnold is off to a monster start in 2024 and has thrown for 657 yards, eight touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Jalen Nailor has hauled in three touchdowns in three games, but he'd likely take the biggest hit when Addison returns to action.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said the team is "optimistic" about wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) heading into a Week 4 divisional showdown at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Addison hasn't played since injuring his ankle in the third quarter in the season-opening win over the New York Giants on Sept. 8. The 22-year-old second-year pass-catcher hasn't actually practiced since spraining his ankle in Week 1, so he'll need to get back on the field first this week to have a shot at returning in Week 4. Both Jailen Nailor and Brandon Powell have seen more work behind WR1 Justin Jefferson the last two weeks with Addison sidelined, but it has been Nailor that has been more productive. Nailor has been a popular waiver-wire pickup the last two weeks and has found the end zone in each of the first three weeks of the 2024 season.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 3 matchup against the Houston Texans. The Vikings are calling him as day-to-day, but this is now the second week in a row that Addison has missed. It's uncertain when Addison will get back on the field after not practicing all week. In his absence, Justin Jefferson and Jalen Nailor will be the primary passing options for this offense. Jefferson is a must-start while Nailor is worth a look in deep leagues after a 54-yard performance in Week 2.
From RotoBaller
It's looking like Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) is going to miss a second straight game after he wasn't seen on the practice field on Friday. Although Addison's ankle injury isn't believed to be too serious, the Vikings are playing it smart with the second-year wideout. The 22-year-old was inactive for the Week 2 win over the San Francisco 49ers and doesn't look likely to suit up this Sunday in a showdown against the 2-0 Houston Texans. The Vikings have yet to release their final Friday injury report or rule Addison out officially, though. Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) is also banged up but fully expects to play against Houston. If Addison is ruled out for the second straight week, popular waiver-wire pickup Jalen Nailor will operate as the WR2 for the Vikes again and could be used as a flex play in deeper fantasy leagues this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) sat out of practice on Thursday for the second straight day after missing the Week 2 victory over the San Francisco 49ers due to a minor right ankle injury that he picked up in the Week 1 win over the New York Giants. At the very least, Addison is likely heading for a questionable tag for Sunday's contest against the 2-0 Houston Texans if he's able to get in some form of practice on Friday. Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) is also on the Week 3 injury report but fully expects to play. If the 22-year-old Addison is limited or out this weekend, Jalen Nailor would once again have flex appeal for fantasy managers in what could be an offensive contest. The 25-year-old Nailor has been a popular waiver-wire pickup this week with both Addison and Jefferson banged up. He's scored twice already this year and caught three passes for 54 yards and a TD in Week 2.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. Addison continues to recover from the ankle injury he suffered in Week 1. Addison had a highly productive rookie year that saw him score ten receiving touchdowns. His sophomore year has not gotten off to the start that many had hoped. If Addison cannot ramp up his activity as the week progresses then he will be in danger of missing another game. Practice reports over the next two days will be important for fantasy managers to monitor.
From RotoBaller
When asked about wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle), Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said he's "hopeful" about his progress this week regarding his return to practice. Addison picked up an ankle injury in the team's 28-6 Week 1 victory over the New York Giants. Still, he hadn't made enough progress throughout the week to appear at practice in even a limited fashion. Giants linebacker Darius Muasau took down the second-year wideout with a "hip-drop" tackle -- one that has recently been deemed illegal -- and was fittingly fined for the unnecessary roughness. Expect an update on the 22-year-old over the coming days when the Vikings release their first official injury report of the week. If he cannot play, wide receiver Jordan Nailor will continue to fill in for Addison when the team takes on the Houston Texans at home in Week 3. Nailor has caught a touchdown in back-to-back weeks and hauled in 3-of-4 targets in Week 2 for 54 yards. He would be a low-end WR3/FLEX play.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) has been officially ruled out ahead of the Week 2 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Addison hasn't been able to practice all week as he continues to deal with soreness in his right ankle. He was able to play through the issue in Week 1, but the team wants to take the safe approach now. His absence means that Jalen Nailor will move into the No. 2 role behind Justin Jefferson. Nailor hasn't done enough to prove himself as a viable option, so he shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a low-end deep league option for Week 2.
From RotoBaller
Minneapolis Star Tribune's Ben Goessling writes that it appears that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) will not play in Week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers. Addison isn't practicing for the third straight day on Friday, which typically means a player will not play that weekend. The Vikings haven't officially ruled the 22-year-old second-year wideout out, but it's likely coming. Fantasy managers that have him in their starting lineups need to make the change now. After an impressive rookie campaign, Addison's 2024 season is off to a bad start after he caught just three passes for 35 yards in the Week 1 win over the New York Giants while spraining his right ankle. With Addison looking unlikely to play this weekend, wideouts Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell will fight for targets behind Justin Jefferson. Nailor is the better sleeper target for DFS lineups, albeit against a tough defense.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) missed another day of practice on Thursday as the team manages a right-ankle injury that he suffered in the Week 1 win over the New York Giants. Addison's status for the Week 2 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers is now firmly in question after two missed practices this week. The 22-year-old second-year pass-catcher will most likely need to practice in some capacity on Friday to avoid being ruled out entirely. In addition to injuring his ankle last Sunday, Addison caught just three of four targets for 35 yards despite Minnesota's offense blowing out the Giants. If Addison is ruled out entirely or limited in any way by his ankle in Week 2 in a difficult matchup, Jalen Nailor figures to serve as the team's No. 2 wideout behind Justin Jefferson, with Brandon Powell also seeing an increased role.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) wouldn't practice on Wednesday and instead would stay inside and get treatment on his injured ankle. Addison injured his right ankle in the Week 1 blowout win over the New York Giants, and it's unclear exactly if he will be able to play in Week 2 this Sunday versus the San Francisco 49ers. The Vikings are hopeful that the 22-year-old second-year pass-catch can play against the Niners, but they are playing it smart with his ankle, and it will ultimately come down to how much Addison can do in practice later this week. Despite the Vikings winning comfortably in Week 1, Addison had only three catches on four targets for 35 yards. If he's inactive in Week 2 or limited at all by his ankle, Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell will compete for targets behind WR1 Justin Jefferson.
