Cleveland Browns All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett (foot) was limited in practice on Friday and was removed from the final injury report, meaning he will be active in Week 3 on Sunday versus the New York Giants. There was some concern as to whether Garrett could play this weekend after he missed practices on Wednesday and Thursday. The 28-year-old pass-rusher said he's feeling better after practice on Friday and needs to remain in all starting IDP lineups now that he's locked in to play. There's the risk of the Browns limiting Garrett's defensive snaps if he's not 100 percent, but Garrett is a talent that needs to be starting if he's active. The five-time Pro Bowler has two sacks, five solo tackles and two forced fumbles through two weeks in 2024 after winning Defensive Player of the year for the first time in his career in 2023.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) and RB Pierre Strong (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 3 against the New York Giants. OT Jack Conklin (knee) and OT Jedrick Wills (knee) were limited in practice on Friday, Sept. 20, and are listed as questionable. DE Za'Darius Smith (back), CB Denzel Ward (shoulder, toe), LS Charley Hughlett (foot), DE Alex Wright (triceps, elbow), DE Myles Garrett (foot) and OT Dawand Jones (knee) were limited in practice on Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. CB Martin Emerson (ankle, shoulder), WR Jerry Jeudy (knee), LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (hand), DE Dalvin Tomlinson (rest) and WR Jamari Thrash (illness) practiced in full on Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

Cleveland Browns All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett (foot) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Garrett said he didn't "feel great" after injuring his foot in the team's Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and now that he's missed the first two practices of the week, fantasy managers in IDP leagues should be worried that he may not play this Sunday in a great matchup against the New York Giants. If the 28-year-old pass-rusher returns to practice on Friday, he'll give himself a chance to suit up in Week 3. It's expected that Garrett will end up playing through his foot injury, even if he's not completely at 100 percent health. It's hard to recommend benching one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL if he's active, but Garrett may not be able to play his normal number of defensive snaps if he's active this weekend.

Cleveland Browns start pass-rusher Myles Garrett (foot) put in a limited practice on Wednesday leading up to the Week 3 contest against the New York Giants. Garrett missed practice on Thursday last week and was limited on Friday, but he was active against the Jacksonville Jaguars and played 41 defensive snaps. Fantasy managers in IDP leagues should monitor his status throughout the week, but if he plays, he could have a field day against New York, who has given up six sacks through its first two games of the 2024 campaign. Even if he is surprisingly out on Sunday, Cleveland's fantasy defense/special teams is a top-notch option in Week 3.

Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett (foot) plans to play through his foot injury, which he said didn't feel great during the Week 2 game.

Fantasy Spin: Garrett is one of the best DLs in IDP leagues, and he's likely going to miss some practice time but should continue to suit up. He has 2.0 sacks and two forced fumbles on the year.

Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett's (foot) foot injury is not believed to be serious even though he missed practice Thursday, Sept. 12.

From TheHuddle

Sep 12 3:40pm CT

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (foot) did not practice on Thursday due to a foot injury, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Garrett was surprisingly added to the injury report as he did not show any signs of an injury earlier in the week. The Browns could be exercising caution with their superstar pass rusher. Fantasy managers in IDP leagues should follow any updates regarding Garrett's status before Sunday's game. In the season opener, the former first-overall pick made two solo tackles, one of which was a sack. He also forced a fumble. The Texas A&M product has tallied double-digit sacks in all but one season throughout his career. Garrett remains one of the top IDP options in leagues that value sacks.

Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett opened the new season with his first sack in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. He finished with two solo stops, including a tackle for loss, and a quarterback hit.

From TheHuddle

Sep 8 8:40pm CT

The Cleveland Browns defense played well but it wasn't enough in a 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Cleveland notched three sacks while holding the Cowboys to just 265 yards of total offense in the loss. The Browns got sacks from Myles Garrett, Za'Darius Smith, and Dalvin Tomlinson but the unit could not force any turnovers against Dak Prescott and company. Cleveland will look to bounce back in a more favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Week 2.

From RotoBaller

Aug 5 5:40pm CT

Cleveland Browns defensive end Za'Darius Smith (knee) left practice at training camp on Monday after suffering a knee contusion and will be re-evaluated on Tuesday morning. Smith was carted off the field but may have avoided a serious injury. We won't know for sure until Tuesday, though. Even if the 31-year-old veteran pass-rusher isn't dealing with a serious injury, he's unlikely to play in the team's preseason opener this weekend against the Green Bay Packers. The three-time Pro Bowler re-signed with the Browns this offseason after posting 27 tackles (18 solo), 5.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, 20 QB hits and a forced fumble in 16 regular-season starts in 2023. When healthy, Smith will operate as a situational pass-rusher across from All-Pro Myles Garrett.
