It'll be interesting to see how Hyatt is worked into the gameplan after a fairly quiet rookie campaign. The wide receiver room is only getting more crowded with Malik Nabers joining the team as their first-round draft pick. Hyatt could be a late-round flier on draft boards this fall.

New York Giants quarterback Drew Lock signed with the organization as a free agent this offseason, and given the struggles of Daniel Jones, many have speculated he could push for the starting job. However, Giants reporter Connor Hughes believes he is not a legitimate threat to take the QB1 job. "[Lock] isn't that good. Very obvious of that during offseason program. He's a serviceable starter, but I don't think he's a threat to be the starter unless it really hits the fan," Hughes wrote on X. The former second-round pick by the Denver Broncos out of Missouri has thrown for 5,283 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions in his first 28 game appearances. He has a 9-14 record as a starter. While Jones has had plenty of downs, he's had more flashes of upside than Lock, so he's likely simply the better player. Given New York's lack of weapons, Lock would have limited fantasy upside if he's called into action this year.

Despite the addition of rookie Malik Nabers in the first round this year, Slayton projects to be a starter for the G-Men in 2024. However, he'll probably be hard-pressed to top his career-high of 770 receiving yards a season ago. Additionally, both Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt could have increased roles in an offense led by quarterback Daniel Jones, who is returning from an ACL tear. Slayton will go undrafted in standard 12-team leagues.

New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson said he has hit some GPS numbers that he has never reached before, saying it's a "night-and-day" difference between now and where he was at this point last year while rehabbing an ACL that he suffered in his rookie season in 2022. After playing in only six games in 2022 after he was a second-round pick, Robinson had 60 receptions on 78 targets for 525 yards and one touchdown in 15 games (eight starts) in a terrible Giants offense last year. The 23-year-old should be even better physically another year removed from his ACL injury, but it's still fair to wonder how much he'll be involved in 2024 after New York added Malik Nabers in the first round of this year's draft. In 12-team fantasy leagues, Robinson will likely be left to the waiver wire while he competes for targets with Nabers, Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) told reporters on Tuesday that he expects to be ready for the first day of training camp next month, and his previously torn right ACL feels "really good." The 27-year-old suffered the major injury in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, meaning he will have had over seven months to recover when training camp begins. Jones is heading into a make-or-break year after throwing just two touchdowns and six interceptions in six games last season. Although he has been disappointing in his NFL career thus far, he could prove to be a value at his current cost in Superflex drafts. The former Duke Blue Devil is going around the QB29 spot, and he can easily push for low-end QB2 production if his rushing upside isn't zapped by his knee injury. He rushed for 708 yards and seven touchdowns in his last full season (2022). If Jones has another disastrous campaign, the G-Men will likely replace him in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Now that tight end Darren Waller officially announced his retirement over the weekend, New York Giants tight ends Daniel Bellinger and rookie Theo Johnson are set to compete for primary pass-catching duties at the position in 2024. Johnson was a fourth-rounder this year, while Bellinger was a fourth-round selection in 2022. But tight ends are physical, but Bellinger has the clear experience edge, having caught 55 of 63 targets for 523 yards and two touchdowns in 29 games in his first two NFL seasons. However, Bellinger's production has left a lot to be desired in fantasy in terms of upside, leaving the door open for Johnson to impress and earn more work as his rookie campaign rolls on this fall. In a suspect Giants offense with a quarterback coming off a torn ACL last year, neither Bellinger nor Johnson represent anything more than a low-end TE2 in fantasy.

Unfortunately, Waller battled injuries over the years, and he finished his final season in the league with the Giants by amassing only 552 yards and a touchdown off 52 catches. But with Waller now out of the equation, Daniel Bellinger and rookie Theo Johnson are the favorites to fill the void at the position moving ahead, with both men likely battling throughout training camp for the right to sit atop the depth chart.

Dynasty | The Tampa Bay Bucs have signed wide receiver Sterling Shepard. Dynasty Analysis: It's a feel-good story for Shepard but hardly a needle mover in dynasty leagues. Shepard could prove serviceable down the line should he make the team but that's no guarantee. Injuries have really affected his play over the past few years and he's not nearly the player he once was. Dynasty managers should simply keep him on their watch lists at the moment as he isn't roster worthy, despite finding a new home.

It's a good sign that Daboll noted his improvement, but it's tough to find a path toward fantasy upside in 2024. Jones remains the starter at quarterback, and No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers is expected to be the team's WR1 right away. That said, Hyatt can stretch the field and become a deep threat, making him an interesting late-round flier in best ball formats.
